Just something I'm a bit confused about...

... The next eligible player can collect all Oran Berries and include them in their total. Please note, if you miss a berry and calculate your total wrong, you will be eliminated...

Does this mean you cannot miss a berry or you're eliminated? Such as what happened on Page 4 when Midnightive missed a berry (Blaze taking it immediately after). If missing a berry means you're eliminated then that would mean at that moment Mid was eliminated, thus all of her posts afterward were simply distractions. Which would then disqualify Blaze for not taking any of the berries that Midightive technically wasn't taking; which would then cascade into a pile of disqualifications for the exact same reason from everyone following.

Assuming this isn't the case and missing a berry is okay Blaze, Midnightive, & Salem all counted correctly which would give us our 3 for sure winners. I don't include myself cause I'm not sure if I was disqualified for my typo of 'berry' instead of 'berries' (I counted both and have gone over my calculations that were all correct assuming I had the intentional 2 not a single 'berry' as I typoed).

Either way this goes... I've done a few rounds of checking numbers and I can't figure out where the message on the 4th of June comes from where only 3rd was still open. Unless I messed up my counting on both passes through this thread (which is super easy to do with that chaos!) there isn't anyway that could have happened with either interpretation of the berry rule.

Race results!

It's been a while but it's time to announce the winners of this race. It was an exhilarating race, that's for sure. A number of racers made it to the finish line with extremely good timing but as there are with most races, a number of slip ups and disqualifications have meant that this has turned out to be an interesting end result. Let's go over who has won...

1st place goes to...

Lamont

Watching you race was like poetry in motion. You quickly stormed to the front of the race and it was suffice to say, the other races where eating your dust. Whilst future races will return to the rule of no modifying of posts, we have numerous witnesses at the time who can confirm your above example was merely to correct your wording and not to amend your total, thus allowing you to remain as a qualifier. Enjoy your Skiddo! Should you participate in future racers and come out top, you're now confirmed to get 3RT.

Another solid effort. Watching out for distractions such as acorns and sticky barbs, even Greatballs being thrown, you still pulled through. An interesting tactic was also employed as it seemed you avoided picking up berries on some occasions just to be sure you were getting your +5 in.* You've won 2RT for your efforts.

And last but not least, 3rd place to...

Salem

Despite a number of participants racing to the end, you still had the resolve to push on through and as a result rose to third place and win 1RT by default!

The following list also highlights the thread page where disqualifications rose for the other racers and a short explanation as to why.

Morrigan disqualified - Double posted same totals to what looks to be thanks to a new page.
Blaze disqualified - An annoying case of posting at the same time. It seems you and Midnight both posted at 33mins but I remember you seeing you have the amount including the berry so sadly, having gone back and edited 3 mins later, it's a disqualification. The perils of active races.
Megan disqualified - Another case of posts being made all at once. Excruciating in this case being so close!
Hunter disqualified - Mistakes can happen and missing out +5 to your total is example of this. Better luck next race.
Ray disqualified - As sneaky as it is, not everything thrown onto the track will help. Sadly there was a Apicot in with all the Oran.

We hope you all enjoy this forum minigame revival and want to thank you all for participating and making it a success. This will be returning at the end of this month, with some polished rules to boot (Needless to say there were one or two areas which were missing clarification) so we hope you join us all then!

*Please note to clarify, as Lamont raised above regarding rule wording, you can miss berries, it's only if you miscalculate e.g. 5 berries are posted but if you post an extra +6 when there is only +5 to be had there from berries. Ultimately the first part of the sentence states players can which suggests it being optional (Although mixed messages are then sent further on in). If it was "the next eligible player MUST collect all Oran Berries and include them in their total. Please note, if you miss a berry and calculate your total wrong, you will be eliminated. " That would change things. We will iron out the wording for the next races.
