Pixie had done it! She had made the look windy journey from New Bark town to Cherrygrove! Where she needed to get more training in, with the Bulbasaur she started with and Venonat who was looking for a fight! She was pretty excited for her road head, she noticed a man running towards her. "hey! You're a Pokemon trainer right? Take this!" He didn't explain much but shoved a Pokeball into her hand and ran off before any questions could be asked.
She looked down at the Pokeball confused, was it stolen was she about to be arrested?! But the Pokeball opened up with out an order and left a Starly hoping around. The small bird pokemon looked at Pixie and jumped on her shoulder, I guess she had a bird Pokemon now? With that she made her way into CherryGrove. "I guess I'll train you up?!" she said confused looking at the bird on her shoulder.
ooc: I was given the Starly by Morrgin but I wanted to Role play getting it someway!

As odd as it was for a stranger to give another a Pokemon without so much a reason as to why, it did indeed seem as if Pixie was now the proud owner of a Starly. Whether this Pokemon bore some terrible curse which had forced the previous trainer to get rid of it by any means possible or rather they were just a generous soul was left up for debate. One thing was for certain however. If Pixie was looking to train up this fledging avian, she couldn't do much worse than an exploration through Cherrygrove and its surrounding areas. Not only was it neighboured by a number of routes, all springing to life with a variety of Pokemon, but the city itself actually inhabited a number of Pokemon. Trees were home to various birds, alleyways to various mammals and the greenery a number of other creatures. There was even talk of creatures inhabiting the ground beneath their feet. For their first encounter in this city of flagrant flowers, it seemed a nearby Pokemon had picked up on the presence of another bird in its territory. Fluttering out from the nest in the tree it had built, the Pokemon flapped its wings at an aggressive speed before honing in on the pink haired Pixie and the unusual brown bird it spotted. Spotting mere seconds before them both, it continued to flap its wings as it let out a loud chirp as if to tell them to back off or face the consequences for encroaching on its space. It was grouchy to say the least but perhaps some prime training fodder. Before Pixie could weigh up her options, a sudden rolling in of dark thunderstorm clouds appeared and after a few bolts of lightning, the atmosphere shifted into the perfect catalyst for hail. Falling down in abundance, they were at least quite minor. Although it probably wasn't advisable to stay out and about in them too long... Encounter
A territorial Taillow (Level 5) has appeared! Please select a Pokemon for battle or flee. Hail will be in effect.

Pixie was taken back by the sudden attack by the Taillow, she looked around see if there was a good escape from this birds land. But there was not. "Ok then, Oliver lets beat this bird you tackle!" Oliver flapped his wings annoyed that she didn't even know his moves. Oliver made an angry squawk, and waited for the next command. "Ok. Try, wing attack!" Oliver shook his head in disappear at it's new owner and would do anything to be with the guy that passed him over.
Oliver ignored Pixie and used aerial ace but not before the Taillow attacked first. Pixie worked out the Taillow was stronger and faster then her little Starly. "ok Oliver return! I choose Skadi" Skadi burst out the her Pokeball and made a battle cry she was ready. "ok Skadi Disable!"
Ooc: Starly was sent out and used aerial ace, and switched to Venonat who used Disable.

Taillow wasn't simply going to let some amateur avian venture onto its turf, the tiny swallow pokemon felt it was a generous act on his part to offer the brown bird and her pink haired human trainer to leave without causing a ruckus. It appeared that the human and her flying type partner were not on the same wave length, the wild Taillow closed its eyes and took the opportunity to focus its energy as a light blue aura surrounded the tiny swallow pokemon. Whilst the wild Tailow had been focusing its energy the trainer's newly acquired Starly dived towards Taillow with white streaks surrounding its body before crashing tackling into the tiny swallow pokemon. Taillow's expression had not changed as it felt fine after the attack.
With time Pixie and her newly acquired Starly were surely going to arrive on the same wavelength, for now though the pink haired female had decided it was too much of a risk to keep her flying type pokemon on the field and decided to return Starly into it's pokeball and replace it on the battlefield with her oddly coloured Venonat. Being the faster of the two pokemon on the battlefield the tiny Swallow pokemon put one of its wings on its chest and let out a battle cry, it was ready for business! Pixie's oddly coloured Venonat's eyes begun to shine an even brighter shade of blue as the wild Taillow's body was outlined with a blue aura for a few moments, that would put a temporary end to the flying type pokemon's battle cries! What had only started as minor hail appeared to be slowly but steadily increasing, it certainly wasn't the most optimal conditions to be outdoors today!

Pixie frowned she didn't disable a better attack, and Skadi swelled up in anger to. Her special attack the one that confused Pixie and Serqet was put to use, how could of she got caught by such a bad trainer she'd never know. But this was her life now one she had to deal with. Pixie started to wonder her moves she never really fought with Skadi before and she didn't know how to use her really. But she looked at her feet a new pair of running shoes, and she was going to put them to good use.
"Ok Skadi Supersonic followed by tackle let's go!"[ Tackle had never failed her before so why should it now right? I mean Skadi's lack of training could mess this up and she knew that but she trusted her coloured Pokemon.

The storm over head crashed and howled as the battle continued, the light hail falling all around them seeming far from stopping. It was a hassle to battle in these sorts of conditions but Pixie had bigger problems. Obtaining a Starly from a stranger was odd enough but one that didn't even obey her orders was bordering on annoying. Atleast she had her shiny Venonat, Skadi, to pick up the slack. Even if her Disable attacked could've gone better, it hadn't been a complete waste. Oddly enough, the Taillow found itself losing it's voice, meaning that it wouldn't be able to intimidate Skadi that way anymore. Puffing up it's chest, the irate Taillow was certain that it could take care of this oversize fluff ball with or without its defiant growls. But the Venonat had a few tricks of her own, one which Pixie ordered with a tap of her super slick running shoes.
Taking to the air with a low swoop, the Taillow managed to lift itself and fight the increasing winds in order to approach Skadi. Sharp beak at the ready, the red chested bird spun forward with folded wings, propelling itself forward and landing a sharp peck right on the Venonat's body. Shuddering from the impact, the Venonat shook herself together before facing the now perched Taillow. Focusing on the avian with a stare of her pretty coloured eyes, the Taillow found itself being subconsciously drawn in but this was a big mistake. All of a sudden, a high pitch shriek bellowed out from between the Venonat's tiny fangs, the sound filling the very mind of the Taillow to point the where it was all too much! Taking flight, it tried to attack Skadi but found itself landing face first into the pavement instead, out of sheer confusion. Cackling to herself, Skadi decided to rub salt to the wound by tackling into the stupid bird, who now couldn't even face the direction that it's opponent was standing in, correctly.

Pixie looked on in the fight, squinting as hail caught her eyes. She was in love with her new Pokemon Skadi, and they seemed to be a great team. They were making quick work of this taillow, though it pained Pixie to hear the squeals of pain from both Pokemon. It some how, got easier. It was easier for the young trainer to then when she first started out. Maybe because she knew that all Pokemon could be healed, and it wouldn't last that way for ever.
The young pink haired girl watched on as the fight happened, it was clear to the young trainer that the Taillow was on it's last legs. But she wasn't sure what to do with it, she could catch it but she had her Starly now. One that she knew she had to get better working with. "ok Skadi, Lets try and finish it with other tackle!" She ordered.
She was sad she couldn't capture this Pokemon, she hated the pointless violence but she knew this a way to get strong. This is what she had to do as a trainer whether she liked it or not. But she will make it her job to check every Pokemon will walk away safe from her battles.

Staggering with blurred vision, the wild Taillow was incredibly disorientated due to the confusion. Unable to see clearly or even move its body in the correct direction that it wanted to, the wild avian was certainly easier to deal with now. Although Pixie didn't like the violence, the Pokemon themselves were able to gain experience and become strong by doing this. By the end, both sides would part in order to rest and heal themselves. But for the Taillow, it was incredibly unlikely that Pixie would be it's only battle opponent for the day. There were trainers who sought the species out, or wild battles would occur in order to fight over food or territory. The pain that the creatures went through was upsetting and their cries even more heart clenching but this was the way of the world and the Pokemon themselves thought nothing of it.
Still tripping across the pavement, the Taillow hobbled toward the one clear thing it could see, a huge mass of purple. Skadi, who was slightly edging around as if to drawn the Taillow in for a closer tackle, didn't quite expect what happened next. Tripping over literally nothing, the Taillow performed the most awkward and uncomfortable somersault before landing on the ground with a thud. The impact along with the falling hail had managed to finish the bird off... Confusion won the day!

Pixie walked over to the Taillow and helped up on it's feet, she still wasn't sure if she wanted to catch it. She sighed. Though she had wanted this Pokemon since she was small she'd let it go, it needed to protect streets. It seemed happier this way.
Making her way out of Cherrygrove after stopping off at the Pokemart to buy a few things here and there. She made her way to route 30 the other side. She let out Oliver who flapped his wings happily at being let out again. "Come on let's try and get you stronger again she told the bird Pokemon flying next to her. She walked quickly to the grass of the route hoping to find something easily to win.

Pixie and her Starly was now in route 30 which was known lately for the spawning pokemon Purrloin. Pixie travelled into the grass nearby and began to search for a pokemon. The question would be if it would be a Purrloin or if her luck wasn't there then another pokemon would show up instead. But the answer would soon show itself as some grass began to move and make a sound as a pokemon headed this way. Oliver stepped forward and soon a Purrloin showed itself. It seemed luck was on Pixie's side but the Purrloin wasn't a nice kitty. It seemed unhappy about something and wasn't happy to see Pixie. Maybe it had just ran from another trainer? Who knows but the purrloin stood it's ground and growled like a cat does while giving a star to Pixie and Oliver. This Purrloin wanted to battle and it didn't seem to want to lose. A wild Purrloin (Level 5) has appeared! Please select a Pokemon to use in battle or Flee! Sunny Weather will be in effect.

Pixie blinked at the purple cat Pokemon right as it appeared right in front of her and Oliver. Clearly Oliver didn't take it so well, no he flapped his wings in fear and rushed up towards Pixies shoulder making her hair fly Everywhere. She frowned and quickly tried to move her hair around just to see, she looked to her side and smiled. "Oh come on Oliver we can win this!" She said pushing grabbing Oliver and settling him down in front of her feet.
She took a deep breath and got ready to fight once again. This wasn't so hard right? I mean all it was, was a Pokemon battle. This was just an old game of cat and mouse... erh bird. She took a deep breath "OK Oliver, Aerial Ace!" though Oliver was scared he moved forward "don't worry Pixie I got this! I'll show you the other trainer was wrong about me!"

Seeing the scared little Starly waddle over to it, Purrloin snarled viciously. It wasn’t in the mood to play games at all, that much was clear. In fact, one might be forgiven for assuming Purrloin might be planning on eating Oliver tonight. Fortunately for Oliver, Pixie was there for him. The timid Flying type continued to make his move toward the feline, who just hissed and spit at its opponent with an arched back. After a few seconds more of this display, it seemed to realise that it wasn’t going to simply scare them to death and it’d have to actually raise a claw… or, more likely, it just decided that now was the time to strike. Either way, the Purrloin bounded toward Oliver on all fours with a look of total bloodlust in its eyes. The game was well and truly on now. The Purrloin was the first to strike, reaching Oliver in a few seconds flat and returning to a bipedal stance. It pulled one paw back slowly, scaring Oliver enough to cause him to cry out meekly in grim anticipation of the move ahead. Purrloin did as expected, of course, and raked its outstretched claws across Oliver’s chest swiftly. The Scratch left its mark, ruffling his breast feathers quite considerably and bringing a scream out of the young Starly. Unsettled but not yet completely disheartened, Oliver reacted quick enough. He flapped his wings and took to the skies, circling Purrloin to gather speed. The Dark type gave up trying to keep track after Oliver’s second lap, not wishing to get dizzy at all, and just waited for the attack to finish. Once Oliver reached top speed, he changed direction sharply and slammed into Purrloin’s side. Purrloin gave a surprised yelp at the pain it was feeling; all this from a youngster? It fell to the ground in sheer shock, taking a few seconds to rise back to its feet. The two were surprisingly well matched, it seemed, but Purrloin’s superior speed would prove a key factor here. Wild Battle
Wild Purrloin | Level 5 | Health: 70% (14/20 HP) Status: Normal Purrloin used Scratch! VS Pixie’s Oliver | Level 3 | Health: 63% (10/16) Status: Normal Oliver used Aerial Ace!

Pixie knew that Oliver was losing the fight and this hurt, she had to do something? Oliver's heavy breathing while looking at Purrloin evil grin annoyed Pixie but was she to do? She could take a risky move and use Endeavour or play it safe. She sighed. She didn't want the baby bird to think less of her if he was to faint. So she got spun her backpack around from the back.
"Ok Oliver you're doing great! Other Areal ace" She didn't really spend time looking at her pokemons attack as she was too busy pushing stuff around in her bag trying to find a Potion why did they always have to be at the bottom of the bag? Finally she grabbed this and looked up "here Oliver take this!"
ooc: if Oliver faints please change potion usage into revive. As Pixie wasn't paying attention anyway.

The irate Purrloin leered it's eyes at Oliver as the young bird gasped for air. After one attack, it seemed that the sly, purple feline was at an advantage in terms of strength and speed. It was just the fact that a trainer was standing close by which put a halt to the Purrloin's plan of supper. Aware of humans and their tendencies to capture Pokemon, this Purrloin was wary but knew that if it could win against this avian, it would then be able to flee to safety. It's tail flicking from side to side, the feline was certain that it could win, whilst Pixie felt the opposite. Playing it safe, she ordered a repeat of the previous turn, whilst she searched her bag for a healing item to help her partner. Pixie wanted to be there for Oliver and Oliver wanted to prove something to her, as well. Together, the trainer was determined to take this Purrloin down a peg or two.
Hissing at Pixie's words of encouragement, the Purrloin quickly pranced out of its sitting position and sprang for the perched bird once again. Claws extending out from its furry paws, the lithe cat struck Oliver once again with a painful scratch, the bird's eyes flashing as he staggered back from the sudden, intense rush of pain. Feeling dizzy for a brief moment, the avian felt his head spin but he quickly shook himself together. Despite his sudden lack of energy, the Starly managed to lift himself up from the ground with a powerful flap of his wings, swooping low towards the Purrloin. Using his wings to retort back with a slash of his own, the feline staggered back, eyes glaring as the bird circled in the air before returning to Pixie's side. Finally finding the item she wanted, the young trainer held the bottle towards Oliver, squirting the medicine bottle at the Starly and witnessing his energy replenish almost instantly.
Feeling in tip top shape, the bird landed back on the ground, fully restored but it wouldn't last long. As the Purrloin was already there to attack with another scratch attack once again. Taking the hit but managing to remain standing after the strike, the Purrloin staggered backward. As long as Pixie remained alert and monitored the Starly's health, Oliver would easily win this battle now.
Purrloin: | Level 5 | Health: 35% ( 7/20 HP) Status: Normal Purrloin used Scratch, twice!
VS
Oliver: | Level 3 | Health: 69% (11/16 HP) Status: Normal Oliver used Aerial Ace! A Potion was used!

Pixie squinted at the cat and mouse fight in front of her it was clear that her poor baby starly didn't have much more fight in him even with the potion used. With that it was time to end this fight, and add the cute little kitty cat to her team, or she hoped. She grabbed for her bag once more and found a great ball near the bottom of her bag.
She never used these so called better balls but she thought now was a good time as any to use them. "ok, Oliver let's catch this Pokemon!" she told her new friend and tossed the great ball towards the cat Pokemon. While she hopped that they could get along if it was caught, but she understood each Pokemon was different and this was were the fun was for her. Meeting new friends through battle.
