Pixie heard the shouting of the other trainer and jumped. She thought she was all alone in this small route to Violet city. Turning to face the young bug catch she noticed the angry look on his face as he marched towards her."o-oh no, I am sorry! I-I didn't mean to!" she protested. But the bug catcher carried on throwing out his Pokemon and waited for her to do the same. She forcefully swallowed, picking out the correct Pokeball for this fight.
Carefully pressing the button on the Pokeball it released a pretty small flying type. Oliver was going to be her Pokemon of choice. She understood the match up difference she was hoping for a quick win. but she didn't want to take the damage stupidly. "Ok! Oliver double team followed by Aerial Ace!"

There was the briefest of moments a fleck of worry crossed the young bug catcher's face at the sight of the baby bird. Wade swiftly corrected his visage with a light shake of his head. "You think you'll win just cause you have a flying type? I'll show you what bug pokémon can do!" he shouted at Pixie as if she'd just insulted his pokémon of choice. "Metapod use Harden to withstand that pidgeon's attacks! Then when it gets close Tackle it." The hot-blooded boy raised his net into the sky then pointed it at the starly, of who was twitching his head this way and that to take in all his fresh surroundings. Once his trainer had called out instructions Oliver chirped happily before jumping into the sky. Flapping away happily the young starly hovered in the air; and soon several duplicates whisked into being to mimic him. The metapod's response was less showy. A simple sheen overtaking its already hard shell as if a fresh layer of polish had been applied. Otherwise the cocoon-like bug type remained seated where its trainer had summoned it. "Yeah! Now we're ready. You show these two what you can do Metapod," Wade cheered his pokémon on. The next set of commands were being enacted, Oliver more than happy to cover the distance to the shiny metapod. Building up a few rapid flaps of his feathery wings to gain a bit more height, Oliver re-angled himself to dive in at the nestled bug along with all of his duplicates. At the last moment he readjusted back upward to wham the metapod on its head, the brown wing swiping through the grass unfortunately heavily which left the blow lighter than it could have been but it was still a solid hit. As the starly made for its upward swing, flipping in the air to begin soaring back toward Pixie, the metapod made an educated guess and leaped up to smack one of the starlys in the sky. Unfortunately for Oliver he hadn't quite gotten around to mingling and mixing with his duplicates to confuse the enemy of true position. The tackle landed, the pointed head jabbing up along Oliver's side for minimal damage; but damage nonetheless. vs. Bug Catcher Wade Weather: Overcast (No Effect)Metapod | Lv 7 | HP 69% ( 18/26) Status DEF +1 Metapod used Harden Metapod used Tackle VS Oliver | Lv 6 | HP 82% ( 18/22) Status Evasion +1 Oliver used Double Team Oliver used Aerial Ace*Running Shoes exhausted

Pixie watched her new bird Pokemon dance in the shy she was so proud of her little Oliver. Only to be snapped out of her trance of beauty to hear the young boy call her pretty Starly a pidgeon! Her face screwed up in anger. Which was very unlike her, though her voice was fierce her delivery could use some work... "W-What did you say about my Oliver? H-he's twice the Pokemon your bugs will ever be"
She looked up against in shock as she saw Oliver get hit right in the side she winced and waited to see how Oliver was to react. Lucky for Oliver shook it off and managed to hide within his double team. She smiled and looked down at the bug catcher, she felt this easy win from a mile off. "Oliver Aerial Ace!" she pointed at the boys Pokemon. As if Oliver had some how forgot what he was meant to be targeting. He flew upwards as his double teamed followed quickly doing a U-turn in the area and aimed straight for sitting duck.

The boy flinched at her outburst, but regained composure as soon as he could to resume his tough exterior. He wasn't about to let yet another bird user trounce his precious bug pokémon! "Hurry Metapod! Use another Harden to withstand the attack!" Wade shouted to his cocoon bug. But Oliver was just too speedy. By the time he had gotten the words out of his mouth the many mirages of the proud avian had dove in to land a solid hit on Metapod. Its hard green body tumbled backward in a somersault, immediately righting itself again but obviously a little dazed by the strike. Shortly thereafter it produced another bright sheen to coat its body, hardening it further. Bugcatcher Wade began to sweat a little, clenching his hands together as he ran through things in his head. It was looking like it would be a solid victory for Oliver. Pixie watched the battle it was her first trainer battle and it was giving her butterflies. To her Oliver fight for her so well was, a sight to be scene she was proud of her new Pokemon thought it wasn't her newest. She let out a cheer at Oliver once again hit into the bug pokemon but waited for the tackle. But the trainer didn't do that and she let out a sigh of relief.
She hated to see her Pokemon get hurt after all, they were her only friends at this point."Ok, Oliver Aerial ace!" though she hated using same attack in the row. She thought she lost style points. None of Olivers other moves would be of use here. She had to rely on his speed and strength. Because she trusted her Pokemon she just had to wait and see.

This battle wasn't going at all how the young bug catcher had wanted, but he wasn't about to give up now. "Ah! Hurry Metapod tackle it as comes in," the boy cried hurriedly, sending an arm out in front of himself to point at the bird cooing happily as he began his attack as instructed. Oliver didn't disappoint, zooming forward with his doppelgangers and landing a solid hit on the metapod, knocking the bug pokémon backward. This time, though, the green cocoon didn't roll back up. Instead it lay there with a pained groan. "Aw man..." the trainer sighed, a pout on his lips as he pulled out his pokémon's ball and recalled the fainted creature. Resuming a determined look the boy turned his eyes back onto Pixie and pointed a finger at her again. "Don't think this is over just yet! I still have another bug pokémon, and he'll definitely defeat your bird!" he shouted confidently. Oliver battled impressively and grew to Lv 9! Oliver wants to learn Wing Attack but already knows 4 moves; delete a move for Wing Attack? Bug Catcher Wade is sending out a Lv 7 Kakuna Do you want to switch Pokémon? *Running Shoes exhausted

Pixie got a small grin on her face that she was the winner. Though she did have the type advantage. "Oliver Retreat!" though she didn't have his Pokeball out. Oliver flew back to Pixies shoulder and perched quietly. She thought it was over, she was used to the wild battle of one battle wonders.
So when the Pokemon trainer pointed towards Pixie it made her jump. Telling her it wasn't over, she grabbed over Pokemon. Which unbalanced Oliver a bit. She threw other Pokeball into the field. " Quinn, lets go!" a male purrlion stood infront of Pixie now waiting for it's attack order. "Assist!" she called out. She hoped it would be a good move. But she and Quinn had never used this move before. It's time to wait.

vs Bugcatcher Wade__________________________________
Wade puffed up his cheeks angrily, his eyebrows burrowing into a frown. Because he chose to train bug type Pokemon, he would always encounter other trainers who would burn them with fire types or eve more commonly, use a flying type Pokemon. Since both of his Pokemon had evolved into much sturdier cocoons, he figured that now would be the prime time to finally defeat a flying type. But Pixie had decided to pull Oliver out of battle. "Hmph. You only did that because you knew I was about to defeat your bird.." Clearly bitter and upset about her choice, he wondered what her next Pokemon would be, only to see a purple, sly looking feline emerge. Judging from the expression on his face, he wasn't exactly impressed. "What sort of Meowth is that?" He questioned, unaware of the Purrloin line. "Oh well. I'll just have to defeat it to bring out your Starly again!"
Turning to his Kakuna, the completely still cocoon await it's order. "Let's use Poison Sting! If we can poison our opponent, they'll fall so much easier!" A naughty looking grin spreading across his face, the youngster voiced his strategy. If Pixie wanted her Pokemon to avoid being poisoned, she would need to win this battle, quickly! Ordering a move new to even Quinn, the Purrloin considered all the attacks of the fellow Pokemon in Pixie's party and tried to mimic one. Drawing in a deep breath, the feline let loose a move most wouldn't expect, a stream of bubbles rushing out from his whiskered mouth. Rushing forward and striking the Kakuna, the Pokemon wobbled on impact, though it wasn't the most effective against a bug type. Straightening up, the Kakuna aimed the tip of it's body downward, firing a poison sting which struck the cat square in the chest.

Pixie let out a short giggle seeing her cat Pokemon, spit out tiny bubbles. While her partner was new she was proud, he had come a long way since the first attack on her. Though he was still stubborn and quiet rude at times. He was settling into her party well and that was all Pixie could hope for.
The pink haired girl smiled as she saw him use Poison sting, while she hoped it wouldn't do much damage. She was just happy it didn't poison. "L-little bug catcher, We'll make this quick" while her body langue still showed the shy girl the start the words she spoke was of confidence in her Pokemon. "ok, lets assist!"

The young lad's cheeks darkened at her taunt, some muttering about being called little mumbling under his breath. He clenched a fist in front of him as if that made him look tougher. "Yeah well... I don't know what kinda weird cat spits out bubbles for an attack but you'll need more than that to take us out. Come on Kakuna, give them another Poison Sting to prove our point!" The boy grinned widely, so sure of his strategy. Pixie called for another Assist attack, the sly feline's ears twitching as it tickled with the giggle of delight from his trainer. Well if he was going to get to the top he needed to continue to impress, rounding up the available moves he's seen of his team allies and selecting another bubbly display. This time, though, it wasn't a stream of little ones spraying the cocoon pokémon. This time Quinn showed off his mastery of bubbles by forming one massive one. It's oily composition shining various colors of the rainbow as the purrloin sent it after his foe. With one loud pop it all broke, managing a rather impressive force for a bubble, but the hardened bug type shrugged it off rather easily. Following it up the near stationary Kakuna spit out a poisonous dart to prick the soft fur of the dark cat. Quinn hissed as it burned on contact, but luckily it didn't course any further into his veins.

Pixie watched the battle again he used an attack move, and yet Quinn didn't get poisoned she felt lucky. Well that was before she saw Quinn using all his strange to make a misshapen bubble that warped and wiggled all the way towards it's buggy target.
She let out a quick giggle at the weird bubble her cat had created. Quinn however was proud of his attack and turned around and gave Pixie a look with daggers. Quinn now upset with his owner laughing at him waited for orders. "Quinn use scratch!" She called. Trying to get her way out of the sticky mess she got her self in with her new Pokemon.

vs Bugcatcher Wade__________________________________
The young bug catcher had been startled, secretly, by the strange moves that this feline was managing to produce. Of course, it was all down to a special move which allowed Quinn to copy or recreate an attack used by a team mate but the youngster didn't need to know the ins and outs of the attack. In fact, it was rather amusing to see his face go from being serious to seriously frustrated with a click of ones fingers. Not very trusting of the purple cat and wondering why his usual poison-tactic hadn't yet activated, Wade did contemplate the idea of foul play by decided to keep it to himself for now. He couldn't come across as a sore loser, especially in front of a girl. Biting his tongue, at first he wasn't sure if Pixie was laughing at him or her Pokemon but it could've also been both! Either way, Wade shared Quinn's action of leering toward Pixie before giving his order.
"Hmph, scratch, a normal attack for once." Mumbling to himself, the boy was aware by this point that his cocoon wasn't able to out speed this agile cat. Thus, he instead watched as the feline stepped forward, light on his paws. Stretching out his claws, the Purrloin lashed forward with a scratch, digging deep into the body of the Kakuna to this point where it let out an odd, high pitch shrill of a shriek. Hopping back in surprise from the noise coming from the bug, Wade's eyes widened, understanding his Pokemon and figuring that attack likely hurt. "It's okay, Kakuna. We can win this! Use Harden, another scratch wont hurt like that again!" Slowly, the body of the Kakuna began to crack and glisten, as it's out shell became much harder and more defencive.

Pixie smiled with joy that Quinn had seemed to forgotten that he was laughed at by his new trainer. For that Pixie was relieved. The young trainer shuffled her feet at the awkwardness of this fight, while it was going great for her. She couldn't help feel bad for the boys Pokemon. S-Sorry, your Pokemon have to go down like this" she muttered to the trainer.
But the damage that Quinn had done was not going to be forgotten soon. It was a good attack and Pixie swelled with joy. "Ok! Quinn lets try and finish this with other scratch attack!" she poke to her new partner with confidence. It was strange how she wasn't scared of any Pokemon. But people. People are the real fear.

The bugcatcher boy laughed confidently as Pixie called for a finishing scratch. "We're ready for your little claws this time, right Kakuna?" The cocoon gave barely any indication of agreement, just a quiet nibbling noise barely audible over the rustle of the grass and cold crunch of the ground. But Wade knew bug pokémon well. His Kakuna wasn't out of the fight just yet. The newly hardened layer of exoskeleton was primed and ready to help absorb the next incoming set of pokers. The young lad was grinning ear from ear, "Yeah! Alright let's get back to showing that purple cat what really stings. Poison Sting Kakuna!"Quinn was quick on his feet as usual, padding forward with light steps and bounding into range. His claws extended and raked along his opponents shell. The Kakuna grumbled in pain, obviously taking quite a hit to its remaining stamina, but used the close proximity of Quinn's own attack to get a poison sting into the purrloin's side. The feline hissed as the attack burned into his veins; but once again it didn't stick. The intrusive poison ebbed away leaving Quinn still quite healthy to the Bug Catcher's continued dismay.

Pixie winced once again as the bug Pokemon stabbed his pointer into Quinns side. She wondered what to do. After all the scratch was loosing it's effectiveness thanks to the hardness of its shell. Once again Pixie was going to rely on the fate of the gods. "Quinn, w-we can do this. Hit it with an assist" Pixie ordered.
She wasn't sure if she how long this fight was going to last. But Quinn was ready for the fight, and was taking poison stings like a champ. She needed for him to keep doing that, no matter how much it hurt him and Pixie to watch her new friend take a hit. "Don't worry bug catcher, we'll end this soon enough" for the first time in a long time. A grin was wide on her face.
