Ralts had been liking the mist before but with its status effect rendered useless due to its interference it began to realize how much trouble the terrain was going to be. At least it could still increase its evasion, the shady doubles of the little psychic moving about along with it. Brooklynn kept a good eye on which one she'd attacked before with success. It was a simple shell game really as the ralts hadn't properly mingled and confused her as to which was which. With a happy chirp in reply to Pixie's command the cottonee went for another absorb, draining Ralts once again and causing the wild pokémon to stumble to its knees.

It was wasteful really. Stealing all that energy and having no where for it to go. Ralts grumbled as it felt its vitality wasted into the ether since its opponent was still in perfect health. It huffed, giving itself a nod before deciding to change that. A swell of psychic energies surrounded Brooklynn for a moment before coming to a climax and attacking her mind. The attack was disorienting, but the grass type managed to shake it off. Thankfully Pixie stepped up to toss a ball, giving Brooklynn a bit of time to recoup while the Ralts disappeared into the device.

It shook violently on the ground, grinding against the cold grass as it wobbled back and forth. A second shake came. The great ball was well known for its good success rate, and with the ralts weakened there was little chance it could escape. But... there was no third shake. The blue ball popped open with a burst of power. Ralts reappeared with a huff and immediately set to remaking its clones to keep its evasion up.

Pixie watched as the Ralts all of them were getting angry, with a bite of her lip. She couldn't tell which one was the real thing, but luckly for brooklynn she had watched every move ffrom the adorable Pokemon. But Brooklynn had responded and hit perfectly. "Wonderful job Brooklynn! Let's keep this up!" Brooklynn grinned and nodded. Pixie tossed her great ball soon after.

She leaned forward in hope of a capture the first shake was unusually violent, Brooklynn and Pixie swallowed hard. Soon came the second shake and Pixie leaned far more forward almost on top of her Pokemon Brooklynn looked up in confusion to what her new trainer was doing. But the Ralts popped and Pixie let out a sigh and after holding her breath for what felt like a year.

Brooklynn was ready to carry on battling but Ralts wasn't going to get caught easily with other double team is was getting harder and harder to see which is the real Pokemon. Squinting Pixie tried to see through the double team to help her Pokemon but she couldn't. "Ok we'll get it this time. Use other Absorb I'll grab other greatball!" she announced to her new friend. Quickly putting her hand in her bag and finding her greatball stash once again, she pulled out a ball and threw it, at Ralts. "Come on Ralts be our friend" she muttered just loud enough to be heard.

GRAYE'S MARINADES

As Ralts built up more psychic power Brooklynn was glad her trainer called for another absorb. The last confusion was quite the unpleasant experience and she wasn't looking forward to another, but Pixie really wanted to keep from fainting this opponent so the cottonee would weather it as best she could. The cotton pokémon sucked up another round of energy from the little empath and added it to her own reserves. Just in time for the confusion to wash over her mind and turn everything a pinkish purple. Brooklynn wobbled a little as she made her best effort to push aside the dizzying energies, just barely managing the feat.

Next, it was capturing time. Ralts squeaked as another blue ball came flying toward it. The device sucked it up and proceeded into the process of thrashing this way and that. The ralts continued to fight hard. The great ball wriggled to and fro, doing its best to keep the pokémon contained within... A couple shakes had passed and nothing had burst out. With fingers crossed it went onto the third shake, Pixie's half mumbled words of friendship trailing through the mist. And then..!

Success! The ralts had been successfully captured.
