As the battle continued, Alex could feel the battle's intensity getting to both of them. She didn't sound like she want to admit defeat, and neither did he. Her Pokemon were powerfully strong, and if he wasn't careful, his Pokemon would be fainted too. Thankfully, before his Lilligant passed out from the fight, his grass type was able to land a successful Leech Seed to take out the Furret's health, which aided the Ivysaur's entry in the battle.
"You might be the best in the tunnel, but are you the best in Johto? Maybe you could travel around the region and have some hot spa or beauty treatments in other parts of Johto and face different kind of trainers." he replied, and happily accepted his rewards for winning the battle. He would actually need to heal his Lilligant too but he'll just stall in the park for a bit, just in case he'll bump into the trainer again.
