The two were off. A pair of young-uns darting through the tree and bush with naught a care of anything else. Though, thankfully they were but small pokémon so despite Mia's slight delay to scoop up Captain her longer rushed strides meant she wasn't left behind; too far. Off the main route the grass grew much thicker and hugged the trunks of the trees that dotted the wilder landscape. It was a sea of green. Though, like any sea movement left ripples. Sentret's scurrying through the bushes sounded its location just as much as the parting of blades signaled it's pathway; making an easy trail to follow. It didn't want to leave its new friends behind after all. Though, it did seem mainly focused on the bubbly water pokémon giving chase.
Giggles were a constant chatter from the scout pokémon as it led the party through the wood. With all the fresh rains and flooding from the recent seasons the greenery glistened with moisture. As they continued along it seemed to get wetter and wetter, and soon the sound of running water trickled above the rustle of flora. The group neared a wall of bushes and branches, of which Sentret halted just before. It propped itself up once again, hands covering its mouth as if it had some grand secret to reveal. Once everyone was there it cried its name, beckoned, then shuffled through the natural curtain.
On the other side was what one could consider a small water park. Miniature, and made by and for pokémon, but there could be no doubt its purpose. The torrent of thunderstorms, flash frosts, flooding, and further rain of Johto in the past year alone had warped the softer dirt in what once was likely a little stream. The sides had been eroded from rushes of water the fed down a hill that had likely fallen away from the force; leaving now a little fall that splashed into several pools. Obvious work of a busy bidoof was present as purposeful arrangements of well maintained mud and stick lined the pools to keep them from breaking away into anything but another set of streams lined in rock to act as slides into another level of pools. Currently a steady stream of water was feeding into top layer of pools behind Sentret, welcoming Mia, Lou, and Captain to its fun little getaway.
Sentret bobbed up and down for a moment before darting to the nearest pool and giving another splash in Lieutenant's direction, happily cheering right after.
But just then, the water stopped flowing.
Rabbit ears perked and the scout pokémon turned its head behind it to view the slowing water fall. Mere drips fell from the lip of the hill. Sentret gasped, running around the water pools to climb the small hill and get a look further up the stream. A chittering cackle burst out from afar before swiftly being stifled. Bushes rustled ahead.
Sentret squealed with concern, twisting around to wave at Mia. It puffed its cheeks, pointing upstream.

Sentret believes someone is behind the sudden stop of water feeding into the public water park!
Will Mia help investigate?
