After Senshi had given the Pidgey an order, she began to fly up into the air. Searching for a pokemon that they could battle. Then she found something, it was red looking. With a white belly and yellow spikes. Pidgey cried out to Senshi, saying she found a pokemon. Pidgey then flew off towards the Pokemon she found, for Senshi to follow. The pidgey landed by the found pokemon, a Wurmple it seemed. A common pokemon around between new bark town and cherrygrove city. The Wurmple was rustling about in the grass, smiling as it was having fun. It was then that it saw Pidgey and stopped. "Wurmple?" It cried out confused as to why Pidgey was there. "Wurmple!" But it soon gave a friendly smile to the Pidgey. It hoped the pidgey would play with it, but would the Pidgey play with it? Well, we'll just have to find out. A wild Wurmple (Level 04) has appeared! Please select a Pokemon to use in battle or Flee! Water Sport Weather will be in effect.

Her Pidgey had alerted her that there was a pokemon in the distance once having taken to the skies. Catching this Pidgey turned out almost immediately to be a good investment as it would lead her to the bug type known as Wurmple. Of course, she had never studied one personally and she didn't know too much information on it. However, what she did know was that logically her Pidgey had the type advantage seeing flying types were superior to bug types. Seeing Pidgey was already out, Senshi had taken that opportunity. "Pidgey. I choose you to battle!" As the Wurmple had smiled toward the Pidgey, Senshi had smiled brightly at the thought of adding another pokemon to her party. This Wurmple didn't seem to be scared at the thought of a possible predator being there to eat it, but that wasn't a problem at all. Pidgey had cried at the sound of it being chosen, and had flew close to Senshi as it awaited instruction.
Perfect situation this was. "Alright Pidgey. Use Tackle on the Wurmple!" Pidgey would attempt to do as her master commanded to attack the Wurmple. Whether it would succeed yet or not was yet to be seen. Senshi was going to evaluate this Wurmple first to see if it was worth carrying around in the party. It would be important to see how strong it was if she was going to take it with her. Pokemon were like people and needed nurturing and loving in order to grow, it was true but Pokemon also needed to fight to get stronger. The better a Pokemon's ability to fight, the more likely it would become stronger. It was common sense at least to Senshi anyways. Now to see how the Wurmple was going to react for a pidgey attempting to tackle it. Senshi was ever more excited to fight against the insectoid creature.

While it wasn't necessarily a friendly game of tag, it was something nonetheless which made Wurmple happy. The trainer human had even smiled at Wurmple! Pidgey seemed like a good playmate, even if Pidgey was notorious for eating it's kind after battles such as this. The happy-go-lucky bug couldn't let anything get it down or defeat was inevitable! Pidgey ruffled her feathers slightly, curious why the Wurmple was acting so darn happy. It was about to get destroyed in a battle! Wurmple didn't seem to mind Pidgey's lack of enthusiasm. The bug would just have to show the bird how to have a good time! The human uttered an attack for the bird to use, so Wurmple figured that meant the play date was about to get started. Tally ho! Pidgey wasted no time after hearing her command. Senshi might want to evaluate the Wurmple for the team, but Pidgey just wanted to make sure it did a good job for her trainer. Unfurling her wings, Pidgey took to the sky, hovering slightly above the ground as she veered forward in a head-on attack tackle. Wurmple was struck clear in the chest, causing the bug to begin to roll backwards. Scrambling onto it's back, Wurmple turned and grabbed it's feet to let the momentum continue to carry it as it curled up. The whirling ball of Wurmple veered to the left in an attempt to turn around and use Pidgey's attack against her. When Wurmple unfurled it had a good big of energy behind it to run and slam into the low-flying bird. It caught Pidgey off guard, who let out a squawk of surprise. Playing, indeed! Wild Wurmple - Level |04| Health: 11/18 Current Status: Good hit! Successful Tackle! Senshi's Pidgey - Level |05|
Health: 16/20 Current Status: We're not playing! Successful Tackle!

The wurmple was impressive as it was capable of recovering from Pidgey's assault and then delivered a fearsome counter attack through its own tackle. The wurmple was flexible and it was capable of launching a decently strong attack in return to Pidgey as the bird had cried out as it was sent backwards. She had looked into the eyes of her soon to be wurmple as she watched her Pidgey slowly recover. "You've done well Pidgey, but now once again, use tackle!" Pidgey would take the liberty to charge forward before leaping into a tackle to slam her head against the head of the Wurmple. She wanted to make it clear that she and Wurmple were NOT playing together. Odayakama Senshi had rolled the pokeball in her hand, wondering what potential that Wurmple would have. She knew that generally bug types were not very strong, but then again they had the potential to evolve earlier than any other type of Pokemon. The dreary weather was definitely something that was adding to the background as she wondered if it would rain once again. It was a solemn environment despite this heated "playtime."
Taking the liberty of observing the battle, she was going to wait for the right moment to capture Wurmple. Hopefully her Pidgey would be able to deal with this matter easily enough. She knew from experience that it was strong, strong enough to give her charmander a tough time. Now, she was going to observe to see how the Wurmple would react to her Pidgey's attempted attack. She had hopes for her Pokemon team and hopefully they would be able to go above and beyond and bond with her to become strong. Senshi wasn't going to use Charmander for a while seeing the weather was still absolutely miserable, so hopefully she would be able to use Pidgey and then this Wurmple to the best of ability in order to progress and become a great trainer. She was going to slowly develop her team until the pokemon in this route were trivial to defeat. Anywho...she still had a long way to go. The brown feathered avian versus the red insectoid creature. Now was the time for another epic pokemon battle.

Wurmple continued to scuttle about excitedly, more than contented with the current situation. It seemed to be one of these crazy things that enjoyed battles for some reason. What an absurd concept, right? It chirped happily as it started to consider its next move, even affording itself a short little dance in the middle of its thought process. Pidgey continued to stare confusedly at its opponent. Why on earth was this thing so happy? Didn't it realise who it was facing? Pidgey started to peck at the ground, looking for any kind of bug that she might be able to find. Anything to remind Wurmple how the food chain worked. However, the sodden earth still wasn't a very capable host for small critters like that right now; all Pidgey found was a nice helping of moisture to wet her beak. And anyhow, Wurmple wasn't paying much attention. This battle was just too fun to let any extraneous details get it down. As Senshi gave her next order, Wurmple almost literally jumped out of its skin in anticipation. My, my, how thrilling this battle was turning out to be! Wurmple wondered who would come out on top in this encounter, but it quickly dismissed that concept. It didn't matter who won, after all. Taking part was more than enough here. Wurmple braced itself as Pidgey began to take flight again. The bird surged forward, clapping her wings to her side as she took a dive toward the ground. Colliding with Wurmple, the Flying type let out a strong battle-cry in a vain attempt to inspire fear in the insect. Wurmple wasn't going to let that bother it, though. In fact, it was impressed. This creature was strong, indeed. Wurmple would be lucky if it could one day emulate this "Pidgey" fellow. It tried its best, though, returning the Tackle Attack and ramming into Pidgey's left hand - or... wing? - side. Pidgey shook off the impact quickly and hopped back a little, preening her feathers with her beak now that it was dry again. Wild Battle

The Wurmple was not performing as well as Senshi was hoping for as after only two hits it seemed to be almost done for. It didn't seem strong enough to be a vital member of Senshi’s party despite its enthusiasm. “You're doing fantastic Pidgey, but I think it's time to end this battle. It's not worth our time to battle a Pokémon of this level. Take to the skies and do a rotating tackle!” She had given her orders to her avian flying type. Now it was the goal of Pidgey to act as instructed. Senshi had sighed to herself before shrinking the pokeball in her hand and firmly attaching it to her belt. She was honestly hoping to find a stronger Wurmple than what she found unfortunately. However, this would be good battle experience for Pidgey hopefully and would get her bird a bit stronger. However, perhaps Wurmple could surprise her and do something to change her mind. The way it was now though, Senshi didn't have any use for this particular bug. “Oh...and Pidgey? No need to hold back. If you beat it, feel free to eat this Wurmple if you really want to.” It was cruel, but that was the way of the world and nature. Only the strong survive and perhaps eating this bug would make Senshi’s Pidgey revitalized. If anything, this wild Wurmple had energy and pluck, but that wasn't enough to make it vital to her. Senshi was hoping to get a bug type in order to counter water types as well as to help capture them, but it seemed now is not the best one. It wasn't ripe enough persay to be capturing and using for her ambition. She was going to let Pidgey do as it pleased now seeing the battle was very much over. She thought back to her journey from Kanto to Johto and had found herself turning her back to her bird. She had a frown on her face that slowly turned into a curled lip smile. She was on a quest to continue her journey, gain fame, gain wealth, and it was all going to come to her in time.

Senshi's comment about Wurmple not being strong enough struck a chord with the Bug type. It was fighting its best and yet this human wasn't seeing it? More to the point, did it matter how strong it was? Was the human not having as much fun as Wurmple? Wurmple's big, insectoid eyes began to glisten as they filled with a single tear each. Poor human, thought Wurmple. This poor human isn't having fun. Wurmple needed to work harder to make the human happy. That was the least it could do for this pair after they'd shown it such a wonderful battle. Wurmple reared up onto its hind legs, puffing out its chest proudly. As it did, the little hairs present on its body stuck out quite prominently, which made it look far less cute than it'd normally appear. Pidgey didn't care in the slightest for any of this, however. She probably agreed with her trainer that this battle was wearing thin. Either way, it was time to end this. The avian Pokémon flapped her wings, leaving ripples down in the small puddles beneath her feet as she took off into the sky. Wurmple wasn't going to last long now. Within seconds, Pidgey had slammed her whole frame into the Bug type once again, leaving Wurmple sliding across the soggy field. Their opponent came to a halt rather abruptly as it crashed into the trunk of a nearby tree. Pidgey hopped over to the defeated specimen, looking at it carefully as if to assess its deliciousness. But would she eat it? Who really cared? What mattered was the battle was over. Wild Battle

Wurmple was defeated and Pidgey stood victorious. “Eat.” Taking liberty to wave her hand outward at the fallen foe, the avian had earned her prey. The Wurmple had been friendly, and it was just misfortune that it had met her and her newly captured friend. Walking ahead of the bird and leaving the Pidgey to take its meal, Senshi moved on herself, searching through the forestry and grass for movement. A charmander and Pidgey were welcome additions to her group, but she had to expand her party at least a bit more. Then came another thought in her head. Oh...she was going to have to feed all of her Pokémon wasn't she? Well, she supposed Pidgey was taken care of for now, so that worked out for the best. Hopefully this dreadful weather would clear up soon so that she might find more specimens to add to her repertoire of Pokémon. “Pidgey, I need you to help me once again. Take to the skies and find us another friend...perhaps another meal for you.”
This flying type was quickly becoming an asset to Senshi as it allowed for her to scout out the area with greater efficiency. In the meantime, she took time to look through her Pokedex for reference of what kind of Pokémon lived in the wilderness of New Bark Town. Based on observation they were incredibly common Pokémon of which several could also be seen in the Kanto Region. The Pidgey and Ratata were known throughout the world as were the Spearow. “Hmm...it would be best to get you all a little stronger and maybe look for a trainer battle here. Then it will be time to move on.” She spoke to no one in particular as she waited for Pidgey to return with another prospect of a battle. After a bit more of this, she might even search for another route to travel for some more diverse groups of Pokemon. Her Charmander was a bit more experienced and Pidgey had proved herself capable, Senshi was excited and content. The sooner they got to the next town, the sooner they'd run into newer experiences together.

Pidgey took to the skies, not daring to go too far away from Senshi but still circling around with a good enough radius to get a decent idea of what was around. Which ended up being not too much. It seemed the recent battles in the area had made some of the near wild pokémon avoid getting caught up with a trainer and battling. Still, Pidgey was determined to find something for Senshi and with a fresh meal giving her energy she could stay up here for a while scouting around. Soon her senses picked up a disturbance not too far ahead. With a caw down to her trainer, Pidgey picked up speed to investigate the noise. As the bird drew nearer the scene unfolded. A young boy bearing an off-side cap was cheering on a rattata fighting another rattata. Easy enough to presume one of the fighting rats was his, but until one was victorious it was hard to discern which one it was. The boy clapped and congratulated his pokémon on its victory, quickly going into trying to find another unlucky victim. It was then the Youngster took notice of the flutter of wings nearby. His head turned round and he spotted Senshi's Pidgey, a finger shooting up into the air. "Look Rattata! That's your next target buddy: a strong looking pidgey. Ain't going to be any trouble for you, hahaha!" Rattata squeaked its agreement then darted along the ground toward Pidgey. The airborne pokémon was in trouble now! Pidgey screeched her surprise and immediately set to trying to flee back to Senshi. "Hey! Where do you think you're going?" the boy called after the bird. The sound of hastened footsteps and rushing through the bushes could be heard trailing Pidgey as she flew as quickly as she could back to where she'd left Senshi. "Get back here you!"Within a few moments Pidgey could be seen coming in fast, heading in as straight a path to Senshi as she could manage along the route. The Youngster and Rattata were close behind. Only when Pidgey attempted a hard stop just above Senshi and making for a landing did the boy catch on that he hadn't been chasing a wild pokémon. It didn't discourage him though. "Whoa there. Haha! Looks like we found something even better Rattata." The kid grinned, raising a thumb to his chest as he introduced himself proudly. "Youngster Joey here, and this is the best Rattata in all of Johto! Heheh, I guess that pidgey's yours huh? Well fellow trainer, how 'bout we have a battle?" Youngster Joey sends out his Top % Rattata! (LV 5) Select a pkmn & declare a move!
