The man let out a hearty chuckle as his new company introduced herself. "My oh my, a fairy specialist hey? We don't see many of those around these parts, but I can see why you chose this area to train now." The hiker dipped a hand into his pocket to withdraw his own pokémon. A geodude beamed to life to face Dior, who had already positioned himself on their battlefield. The rocky mass pumped his fists in the air confidently, calling his name in that deep gravely voice. Anthony raised a hand to brush his thick black beard, a grin widening across his face. While Dior wasn't a pokémon he was familiar with he was sure that it must be a fairy type given Aphrodite's specialization. How bad could a fairy type be?

All that confidence was stripped away when she made her first call of attack. The man's mouth shifted into an 'o' for a moment before giving his geodude instructions. "Oh boy that's going to start smartin' soon boy. Geodude, batten down the hatches with a defense curl to start off."

Dior raced forward, scuttling along on those little legs much faster than Anthony had ever imagined. Fairy types. The steel fairy planted a solid fist right into Geodude's noggin, causing a rippling crack to sound through the area. It had hit harder than the rock type had hoped. The small boulder curling its arms in to begin its defensive boost while also taking a moment to rub its sore spot. Lucky for them that defense curl would be the thing to save them this round, as Dior wound up for another punch Geodude just barely managed to hang on.
"Ooof, hang on good buddy you're doing great! Go for a tackle now."

Stone grinding against itself, the geodude put his hands before himself and took a deep breath; welling all the strength he had left for this one attack. Then, with a burst of power the rock launched itself into Dior but... the mawile simply turned round and let Geodude bounce off of the massive steel plates that was its jawed horn. There was a metallic thump. Anthony gasped.
"Oh ho ho ho ho! What a surprise! Well that certainly makes things a lot harder for us. I'm sorry Geodude."

A confident smirk curved against the golden-haired beauty's lips as she watched her Mawile carry out her orders with such grace and power. Dior might not have been one of the faster members on her team, but the Steel and Fairy-type Pokemon was more than fast enough to out run the Geodude, which probably wasn't saying too much, since rock-types were not known for their speed. Dior quickly performed a stunning twirl as she used her intimidating horn to block the Geodude's tackle attack. A soothing, metallic ring echoed through their ears as the Geodude's body made contact with Dior's sturdy body. "You're lucky amazing out there Dior, keep up the awesome job and this battle will be over and done with soon enough." Aphrodite stated, smiling at her fairy friend.

"As a matter of fact, let's finish off this Geodude once and for all. Dior use Fairy Wind!" Aphrodite commanded her Pokemon. The Mawile gave her trainer a quick head nod before performing a couple of twirls in order to summon a beautiful breeze of power to finish off the Geodude. The attack itself would not be super effective, but it should be enough to knock out the Geodude without too much of an issue. "I do hope that you're enjoying the experience of battling against Fairy-types." She spoke, glancing over at her opponent with a warm smile.

There wasn't much that could be one on his end. His poor Geodude just wasn't equipped to handle another hard-skinned type like itself, and Dior was significantly faster; leaving their fate securely pointed toward a faint. Geodude knew this, nodding a quiet murmur of its name as it accepted Anthony's apology. The steel fairy swept up a glittering storm and sent it gliding through the air to engulf the small boulder. Despite her sturdy stature she was too far beaten down to withstand even the smallest of attacks at this point. The glittering wind dropped Geodude into unconsciousness.

"Eh well, that wasn't too surprising there," the hiker shrugged as he withdrew his partner back to the safety of a pokéball. "But! I'm not out yet missy. Got me something that might fair a bit better against your interesting pokémon there. Come on out Machop!" He tossed another ball into the air to reveal the little fighter, of who excitedly beat a fist into his palm. Its bright eyes sized up the mawile, a little confused about just what he was facing here. Was it the big scary jaw? Or did he have to watch out for the skinny tyke hiding behind the massive maw?

It wouldn't be long before Machop would find out.

Dior managed to have made quick work out of the Geodude, which wasn't too much of a surprised to the eerie fairy and steel-ype Pokemon nor her golden-haired trainer. The two of them had battle against quite a few Geodude while tunneling through the darken cave. Therefore, they knew majority of its weak spots. A proud smirk spread across Dior's lips as she watched the Geodude fall down with small swirls reflecting through its eyes. It was not long before Anthony had returned his fainted Pokemon and replaced it with a new one. A small frown shown across Aphrodite's face as she stared at the Machop standing in front of its trainer. She was former with Hikers using rock-type Pokemon and on some occasions a Zubat or two. However, she had never seen a Hiker use a fighting-type Pokemon before like Machop. "Well, this is definitely a surprise, but it's not anything that we can't handle, right Dior?" Aphrodite spoke, glancing down at her steel-plated fairy friend. Dior gave her trainer a quick nodded before locking her eyes onto her new opponent.

"Dior, show them what those fangs of yours can really do, Bite!" Aphrodite commanded with a small smile. As usual, Dior wouldn't waste any time utilizing her graceful movements and swift speed to attack her opponent with a sharp fangs. Aphrodite wasn't too sure how much damage would be inflicted onto the Machop, but she hope that Dior's boosted attack power would be enough to inflict quite a bit of damage onto the fighting-types body.

With the bolstered attack thanks to the previous punches Dior was feeling better than ever, teeth practically itching to chomp down on something when Aphrodite gave the call. The hiker chuckled politely, a little excited for the match up.
"Yes well I got lucky a while back and found this little champ. Don'know if we quite pack enough power to get through that thick skin of your fairy but we're gunna give it our best shot miss! Right boy?" The machop flexed its toned muscles and hopped forward, ready to take a crack at the odd pokémon before it.

The burly man's beard cracked apart when his opponent called out for a dark move. "This is our chance Machop, give 'er a good Karate Chop." Dior wasn't dissuaded, rushing forward without a sense of fear against the fighter. The large toothed horn dominating the mawile's form remained carefully placed between her and Machop until the moment she needed to get in close to strike. Luckily Machop was unfamiliar with Dior's species, leaving the fighting type unsure of exactly what part of the mawile was the most dangerous. Her natural distraction worked like a charm. While Machop was busy worrying over the intimidating maw of her horn Dior was able to pirouette to the side at the last step and land a well placed bite at her opponent's side.

Machop was weathered the attack like the budding champ he was, grunting and squinting an eye in response to the pain but reacting quickly to reciprocate the attack. A hand clamped down Dior's tiny shoulder while the other raised only to come down in a flash. She wrenched away quickly, barely preventing the chop from doing major damage as it connected with her other shoulder instead of her neck.
"Well done Machop. Be careful though, these fairies are the tricky bunch," Hiker Anthony chuckled heartily, belly jiggling.

A slight frown was expressed on Aphrodite's fair face as she watched Dior's attack make contact with the Machop's body. The young beauty knew that the attack would not have been super effective, but she had figured that it would have done a little more damage then it did do to the Machop's body. Unfortunately, she had underestimated this Machop a little bit. A low growl soon left Dior's mouth as she felt the Karate Chop hitting her shoulder blade. Luckily, the attack did not inflict too much damage to her shoulder. "I may have underestimated this little guy a bit, but we''re going to turn up the hit a little more, right Dior?" Aphrodite smirked as she glanced over at her iron maiden. She would loved to continue utilizing Dior's physical strength, but due to her last mistake, she learned that even Dior's increased attack power wouldn't be enough to take down the Machop due to majority of her physical moves been neutral.

"Dior, let's try your Fairy Wind this time!" She commanded out loud. The Mawile would nod her head before performing a beautiful twirl and whipping up glittery gust of wind to inflict down on the Machop's body. Mawile special attack was not her strong point, but perhaps the Fairy Wind being super effective it would work to her advantage.

“Hikers are known to have Pokemon with a lot of defense and attack, so it’s always wise to never underestimate their Pokemon!” The man said chuckling softly, his Machop nodded its head in agreement. The hiker and Aphrodite could not be different in terms of the Pokemon they collected. Anthony prized strong and hardy Pokemon that were found in caves, yet Aphrodite loved the cute fairy type Pokemon. “Although your Pokemon is much different than mine, I do applaud its strength in battle.” The hiker said, although Mawile are cave-dwellers the man had never seen one personally.

“Alright Machop, use your karate chop on that fairy Pokemon!” The hiker said smiling, battling was one of his favorite activities other than spelunking. But the fighting Pokemon was too slow, Mawile surprised them with her swift movements. A stream of pink wind blew toward Machop, it collapsed to the ground. “Machop, return. You did good buddy. And so did you young lady!” The hiker said to Aphrodite with a thumbs up.

Dior gained 2 levels and is now level 19! Dior gained 1 happiness!

Aurora gained 1 level from battling and is now level 21!
Aphrodite got $352 from battling!

A final Fairy Wind from Dior seem to have been more than enough to finish off the Machop. A small smirk tugged against the corners of Aphrodite's lips as she watched the Machop fall down in defeat. Dior gave the weakened Machop a low snarl before turning her nose towards the air. Not only was Dior a little feisty, but she was also known to be a little arrogant, too. "Thank you sir, it was a definitely a nice battle." She stated with another soft smile before turning her attention towards her Mawile. "Dior. You were amazing, but I think that it is time for you to take a break now. You've done more than enough training for one day." Aphrodite pointed out as she lowered herself towards the ground a bit to get on Dior's level. She would gently start to rub her dainty hand over her Pookemon's forehead for a few seconds, attempting to calm her down a bit. The Mawile let out a soft yawn before carefully removing her trainer's hand away from her hand. Aphrodite shrugged her shoulders a bit right before a soft chuckle escaped from her mouth. "Okay, well at least you're not disagreeing with me." Aphrodite added taking out Dior's Pokemon and returning the Steel/Fairy type back into her warm orb.

"Alright, let's see. Who else could use a little bit of training?" The golden-haired trainer asked herself as she started to think about the various Fairy-type Pokemon that accompanied her on her journey. "Hmm, I guess I could start training Raina a little bit, since I haven't done too much with her yet." She stated, taking out another Poke Ball and tossing it into the air. Within seconds, a cute Popplio appeared from the flashing, bright light. Raina let out a playful giggle as she started to clap her hands a couple of times. "I must admit it is a little refreshing to see such a cute face with such positive energy." She giggled, kneeling down a bit to rub Raina's nose. "Let's do a little bit of training. No worries, we won't overdue it, seeing that this is your first official training session." She added with another soft smile.

The battle concluded with the fairy as a victor, and it seemed even nature wanted to give its congrats as a warm breeze cradled the pathway between the trees. It was nice at first, a bit of a break from the otherwise nippy weather, but soon after she'd settled her party and readied for their next encounter that nice breeze had strengthened into a blistering wind. It had come upon Azalea so quickly even the birds in the sky didn't know what to do with it. Several of the sky bound creatures ended up hurriedly diving down into the trees for shelter and of course that didn't sit well with the inhabitants already nestled within the forest surrounding Route 33.

It wasn't long before one such agitated local was trampling its way from the underbrush and into the open path. Unluckily, or perhaps not, for the fairy trainer the purple pointed body emerged from the greens right near her. Fiery red eyes narrowed as the wild pokémon instantly issued a challenge to the bubbly blue seal standing next to her, the Nidoran♂ reeling back to swipe its front legs in the air before stamping down and pawing at the ground.

A soft and warm giggle left Aphrodite's sweet lips as she felt the pleasant breeze dance around her body, which prove to have been a huge change in comparison to the cooler weather that she had grown accustomed to over the last few weeks or so. However, the warm and gentle breeze soon transformed into a blistering wind, causing her long strands of golden hair to whip around her body. She quickly placed her hands over her stylish dress, making sure that the wind would not cause it to raise too high. "Whoa, that powerful gust came from out of no where. Are you okay, Raina?" She asked, glancing down at the small sea-lion like creature. The Popplio let out a soft bark and nodded her head.

One the powerful gust had decided to faded out, Aphrodite soon noticed that another challenge had emerged from behind the emerald, green bushes. "Seems like your first challenger is ready to take you on Raina, let's try a Water Gun!" She ordered in a calm tone. Raina nodded her head before sending forth a blast of cool water into the direction of the Nidoran.

The wind had perhaps slowed down a bit for now, but it was still there and gusts of wind came battering unexpectedly. That was also what had agitated the nidoran♂, since the flying types had sought shelter in the trees but one had lost it balance as a sudden gust had pushed it off its branch. The flying pokemon had of course landed right on top the nidoran♂ who hadn't been able to retaliate as the airborne pokemon had fled into the sky without so much as an apology. With the wind today it had been impossible for the nidoran♂ to give chase and instead it had run into Aphrodite and Raina and decided to let its frustation out on them.

It was too impatient to wait for Raina to be ready and charged forward with its horn lowered, but a sudden gust of wind pushed it out of balance shortly before he reached the blue sealion. Raina readied her Water Gun and the nidoran♂ leaped out of the way and hid behind Aphrodite's legs!
That forced Raina to hold her attack as the best scenario would be that Aphrodite got soaked shoes, the worst that she would be toppled over and hurt.
The nidoran♂ smirked before it leaped out and kicked her swiftly with his hindlegs. It attempted to get back behind its human shield but Raina was ready and blasted it away with her Water Gun.
It glared dryly at her as it got back on its feet, completely soaked and with grass sticking to its wet hide. It shook vigorously and proceed to shake its paw one by one to dry them.
It then sprang forward in an attempt to get behind Aphrodite once more and make it harder for Raina to attack without risking to injure her trainer.

Aphrodite lower her golden eyes down towards the purple mutant rabbit-like creature, who attempted to hide behind her. "Eek! Get away from me!" She cried out, squirming in her skin a bit as the Nidoran continued to move towards her. She couldn't help, but to feel a little uncomfortable around poison-type Pokemon. Perhaps, it had something to do with fairy-types being weak against them then again, she didn't seem to have an issue with steel-type Pokemon. Luckily for the golden-haired beauty, her small water-type had managed to come to her rescue and blast the Nidoran with her Water Gun attack. However, the Nidoran quickly recovered from the attack and assaulted Raina with its hind legs. The cute, sea-lion like Pokemon barked as she endured the powerful kicks coming from her opponent.

"Come on Raina, you can do this!" She cheered on her Pokemon as she watched Raina regained her composure and glare towards the Nidoran, who appeared to have been attempting to make his way back over towards Aphrodite. "Hey! I told you to stay away from me!" She warned the Nidoran, quickly making a run from it, so that it would not be able to hide behind her anymore. "Quick! Give it another Water Gun!" She commanded Raina.

The nidoran looked first surprised and then annoyed at Aphrodite's reaction to it, it was not yuk! It was not used to others reacting towards it like that and it didn't like it. Not that it would have liked it if Aphrodite had swooned over it instead but it would almost have been better than being treated like a pest.
"Nidooo!" It shouted furiously, first it had been knocked in the head by a cowardly bird and now this?! Getting both soaked and scorned in the same battle was not a thing it could accept and it stomped its foot frustrated.
The glare it sent the two made it clear it wanted to make them pay for it all, both for what they had caused but also for everything else.

The nidoran leaped forward and with a couple of precise kick sent Raina sprawling onto the ground, and it raised off before she go upright again.
Nidoran had no interest to get too close to Aphrodite, if she was disgusted by it who knows what she might happen to do? She might try to kick it or something. No it just wanted to use her as a living shield and would make sure to keep Aphrodite in between it and Raina in an attempt to force the popplio to attack her own trainer.

Its tactic didn't really work as Raina did all she could to get around Aphrodite and the human certainly would try to jump out of the way too. The nidoran did manage though to keep a position that made some of the Water Gun spray on the trainer's legs, it was cold and would dry quickly in this windy weather. Nidoran itself wasn't wet for long either but even though it looked tired it laughed and mocked Raina for having hit her own trainer. It acted like its little success had been the win of the whole battle.

A quick and painful bark escaped from Raina's mouth as the small sea-lion like creature felt the powerful kicks land against her body. It was quite obvious that she didn't not expect for the Nidoran to pack that much strength through a Double Kick. "Come on Raina, you have to get back up!" Aphrodite shouted out to her Pokemon. There was no way that the golden-haired beauty would allow her precious Pokemon to be beaten by poisonous rabbit-like creature. Raina carefully pulled herself back up and onto her feet with some encouragement from her trainer.

Raina watched as her opponent attempted to trick her into attacking her own trainer. Unfortunately, the Nidoran seem to be quite clever and he did managed to trick Raina into splashing her trainer with a quick Water Gun. "Whoa! Raina! You have to be more careful!" Aphrodite cried out, quickly leaping out of the way from the rest of the cold water. Raina eyes become wider as she realized what she had just done to her trainer. She rushed over towards her trainer and lower in her head in embarrassment. "It's okay! I know that you didn't mean it, Raina. I'm not hurt, It is was just a little cold. Don't worry about me, I'm fine. You have to stay focus and win this battle for us, okay?" She spoke in a calmer tone. Raina nodded her head and turned her attention back towards her opponent. It was time to finish this Nidoran off once and for all.

"Let's finish this with another Water Gun!" Aphrodite commanded with a smirk as she glared at the Nidoran. Raina nodded her head and fired another powerful blast of rushing water into the direction of the Nidoran, hoping to knock it out.

The nidoran strutted around like it had already won the battle, it was all acting and mostly to itself. It refused to admit how tired it was and spent a lot of energy on acting lively full of energy.
It laughed loudly at Aphrodite's reaction to the spray of water, what a child to be so worked up over a bit of water, she ordered it continued use on itself so she had nothing to complain about.

Nidoran wanted this battle to be over just as much as Raina and Aphrodite but of course it would be with it as the winner. He lowered his head with the horn a bit and scraped the earth with a paw, making a display of getting ready to attack. It was very impressive in his mind and he could imagine how scared Raina and her human would be, then it leaped forward and charged in full speed and agile dodged the blast of water which was sent at it.
It made its way to Raina and buried its horn in her side before she got a chance to dodge, she screamed and sent the nidoran rolling over the ground.
It attempted to get back up on its feet but failed, it sagged and then began to crawl away in under the nearest bush. It stubbornly refused to look at Raina and Aphrodite and admit defeat although the result was clear, instead it went to find a place to rest and keep its denial going.

Raina won the battle and grows 3 levels to [lvl 13]!
She can learn Baby-Doll Eyes if she forgets another move.
She also gains +1 happiness (+4)


Bijou grows 1 level through the Exp. Share to [lvl 19]

(ooc: I have no idea what mess up I made in your last post with Raina's HP, she got more of them after the attack But even with max damage that round and this round, it wouldn't be enough to knock out your popplio and she hit hard enough to take this win home this round, so I won't go back and fix it.)
