Being a bug enthusiast, Alex was quite excited to be given an entry to the National Park, after hearing about its reopening and especially its plethora of bug type Pokemon. There was no telling what Pokemon he would find himself stumbling upon, but he'll be ready. Only allowed to carry one Pokemon with him, he deposited his other Pokemon at the service desk, and carried his trusty Saurobix, with his plentiful useful moves for whatever encounter that might come up. Second, he have poison typing, so if any bug decided to play with chemicals, his Pokemon could handle them.
He let out his Pokemon to enjoy the nature's beauty as the two began strolling in the park. These grasses were left undisturbed, except for the main path that the workers and people would walk through, but otherwise the park was undisturbed for the nature to do its thing.

As Alex was walking with his Ivyaur, he heard a somewhat familiar beating of wings. He looked up to see a Scyther, just about the same one he saw in Azalea Gym! Well, at least this one was a wild one, and not one that was trained by a tactful trainer. Saurobix growled at the opponent and ran forward to face the foe.
"This looks like the first one! Alright, start off with a Razor Leaf!" He ordered, and his Pokemon proceeded to summon a flurry of razor sharp leaves.

Sport Balls Left: 15 (Scyther: +1 CRIT) Saurobix immediately began his attack, razor sharp leaves flying through the air to cut across Scyther. The mantis pokémon retaliated with a swift attack of it's own, eying the trainer and seeming to be watching for any interference. As it struck down it almost looked disappointed that the trainer hadn't done anything. Again Saurobix sent forth a flurry of damaging leaves. This time Scyther remained still, using the inflicted pain as a focus. A hint of red enveloped the otherwise lime green shine of its hardened body. Scyther crossed its claws and prepared for another bout.

As the flurry of leaves swiped the Scyther's skin a few times, Alex decided to go light on the attacking this time, in lieu of hoping to get a higher score. This time, he ordered his Pokemon to use Sleep Powder. Saurobix cried and leaped forward as he got ready to release a cloud of green and sleepy powder. Alex watched as the next round unfolded. His Ivysaur was quite well trained that this Scyther's attack shouldn't pose a problem for trainer like him.

Sport Balls Left: 15 (Scyther: +1 CRIT, Asleep 1/3) Acting first, Saurobix released his narcotic powder at the still standing scyther. Of who was sure enough in its capabilities utterly failed to even attempt dodging and found itself collapsing into slumber.

Seeing that the Scyther was successfully lured to sleep by the waft of sleepy powders, Alex grinned happily as he saw the bug felt into slumber. Now this was his chance! He grabbed a Sport Ball from one of his bag and tossed it at the green bug, hoping for a successful capture. He threw his arm forward as , and he watched the green ball flew toward the foe. He waited nervously for the result.

Glad with his success of the capture, Alex picked up the Scyther's Pokeball for now and cheered with his Ivysaur. However, he's not stopping here yet. Since his feet were already in the park, he thought he might as well keep exploring what personalities were in this park.

Seeing a rather weak looking Metapod, Alex walked away from the Pokemon, as he was pretty sure those defense stacking Harden would take a while for this opponent. Not today.

As Alex walked away from the Metapod a nearby bug did not take too kindly to him not giving it a chance to battle. The bug Pokemon slowly slithered behind him untilthe wind blew causing a blade of grass to smack it right in the eye. It shrieked at the discomfort while gaining Alex's attention. It was not harmed by the blade of grass but after seeing luch a meanacing Ivysaur the Shelmet began to wonder if it should have stayed hidden from him in the first place.

Alex was excited to see such an interesting bug Pokemon lurking in this area. However, he decided to keep the Scyther for now, and order his Ivysaur to use Growth and then Razor Leaf.

Sport Balls Left: 14 3/5 Encounters (Shelmet: +1 ATK, +1 DEF, -1 SPD) (Saurobix [Overgrow]: +1 SP ATK, +1 ATK) Saurobix spread its leaves and soaked in the sun and moisture from the lush park environment, leaving him an easy target for Shelmet's Acid attack. Luckily, though, the poisonous attack didn't practically nothing to the dual type. With a grin the ivysaur then whipped out a flurry of razor sharp leaves, denting the wild bug's hard carapace. Shelmet huffed, a bit of smoke coming from its pursed lips as it decided that it too shall buff itself up.

Seeing how well the Razor Leaf did, Alex ordered his Pokemon to use another Razor Leaf. This Pokemon's poison attack seemed to be nothing, to a Pokemon seemingly equally poisonous.
