I remembered making a topic like this ages passed on my old forum and it turned out to be rather popular. In this thread, type out a random fact about yourself. Now, this isn't a forum game or anything so I want some detailed, well thought out replies.
One random fact about myself is that despite my heavy metal appearance (You know, leather, jeans, long hair, the works basically) I am actually incredibly fond of fine suits and I already have a couple in my wardrobe. I hope to expand them soon at some point in the future. Wearing them out is pretty empowering too as I noticed you get a lot more people refer to you as Sir. ;D

I injure myself daily.
Today was a doozy - received scratches from my dog on my right arm, got blisters on my right foot because of these crappy sandals I was wearing, and I also managed to bash my right knee off the door frame going into our garage.
My right side is doomed.

In an ideal world, I will become a successful hypnotist/magician, or more specifically, a 'mentalist'. Obsessed with magic - of the trickery sort, rather than mystical - from a young age, perhaps 3 or 4, I've always wanted to be a magician. Favouring The Joker in Batman, my parents quickly noticed that this seemed to reinforce my growing love, and purchased me a 'Marvin's Magic' set. Throughout my life, I have sporadically fueled the passion, learning card tricks, perfecting prestidigitation. Derren Brown has been a hero of mine since I first watched him when I was 8 years old. He had a completely new twist on magic. His techniques opened my eyes to a whole world of con-artistry, barnum statements, cold reading, sleight of hand, and general mind*****ery. Earlier this year; Thursday 23rd July 2009, I went to see Derren Brown: Enigma live in London, at the gorgeous Aldelphi Theatre on The Strand. This was a dream come true. Imagine how I felt when the frizbee landed in my mother's lap. She hastily passed it to her boyfriend, who passed it to my best friend, who passed it to me. My heart stopped right there and then. I just screamed a profanity and charged up to the stage, feeling ill. Derren Brown took my hand, kissed me on the cheek, and asked me my name. I then took part in his trick, on camera, in front of several thousand people. Looking back, the memory is not clear, just a bright white light, completely void of noise. One of the best moments of my life. But wait! After the show, I was invited backstage to meet Derren Brown. He is the most charming man I have ever met, and just amazing. I hugged him, CHATTED, got a picture, and an autograph for myself and my boyfriend (who is in love with him, in the gay way). He accidentally got Sharpie on my Macaw t-shirt while hugging me, which I wore in honour of him as he is also a fellow Parrot-lover, but I really didn't care. He signed my arm and we chatted some more. I've babbled on, but the point was to say that this moment really cemented my love of stage magic and mentalism into my mind. For the next three months, I practiced magic and sleight of hand every single day in my room, perfecting every trick. Then school came along, and I have once again veered from the path, lacking time rather than losing interest, unable to offer the same dedication as before. TL;DR - That is my life story. I WANT TO BE A MAGICIAN AND WEAR A TOPHAT. <33
EDIT: I also, coincidentally, not long after, bumped into a man who has been working as a professional magician and owns a bookshop with one quarter of a million books, for 60 years. He agreed to mentor me, but unfortunately I have not been able to contact him again. :/ EDITEDIT: May as well add that I am going to see Derren Brown again, with my boyfriend, next Tuesday! ^_____^

Random facts, huh? Well, I've actually always been interested in mock trials and debates in school. I often got to the point that sometimes I'd get on the nerves of other people over certain topics because they thought I was pig headed about them. But I always hated when people would claim I never did any research on a topic before forming my opinions. I just wish some people could agree to disagree. Ah well.
But speaking of the mock trials, you know those court trials you would do in high school? Yeah, I did a number of those and always loved them. I just found it so amusing that I was later turned on to the Ace Attorney and I finally understood why some of the other kids would point their fingers, scream objection, try to act pimp, or pretend to drink a lot of coffee during these things. >>

I am actually a big fag-bag. I'm sorry to all those ladies out there whose hearts are broken but I guess I just love men. Of course, this means that I can be very, very happy! Sleepovers with Cammy, sodomy (Two very unconnected things btw), there's nothing better!

camtoniac, I've got a couple of friends in uni who're quite into magic. Joined the magic society and everything. Random fact about moi? Hm, I'm extremely liberal and have a huge, HUGE dislike for gender norms. I like to think men and women aren't different at all, apart from the obvious physical differences. It's just the way society's developed. Fairly obviously, chauvinistic chaps REALLY piss me off, as well as the equally sexist women. Myes.

I trip up stairs. That's right up, not down. Its a family thing, we all do it. x.x
I also had an eleventh finger on my left hand. It was on my little finger. Although it was removed shortly after I was born. Everyone originally thought it was some kind of flesh lump on my finger until they started to remove it. The Doctors said it would have been a fully functioning finger when I was older. Now its just a bump on my little finger, and a fun story to tell random people.

I feel similarly to Richard about gender roles. I myself tend to act rather stereotypically feminine in that I love shopping (particularly for clothing), I enjoy a variety of hobbies in the vein of sewing and knitting, I enjoy cooking, nearly all my friends are girls, and I'm like... the most emotionally open person in said group of friends.
That said, while I dislike traditional gender roles, I also very much enjoy making fun of women for stereotypical things. Because I'm a huge dick, humor is how I face uncomfortable things, and also because it seems like it endears people to me... somehow. @_@
Oh, and my RP character = Me in a nutshell, basically.

*suddenly feels like the only complete heterosexual on the site* But this isn't a debate about that. >> Another random fact? Hmm... I have three friends whose last names all end with "son". Henderson, Jackson, and Swanson. It is a little weird.

Hmm... more random facts.
WELL...
For the longest time, I was afraid of nail clippers. This was because when I was really little, I was playing around with a pair of nail clippers and snipped myself on accident way further than what I was meant to go under the nail and it hurt really bad. I started biting my nails as a substitute to trimming them (toe nails included. Go EWWW now). Not until my wisdom teeth came in and creating a sort of overbite or something where I couldn't bite them properly is when I started using nail trimmers again. This was... two years ago, I think.

Random facts? Hmm...
I have an autographed Chris Jericho picture which sits at a place of honor on my shelf, brought all the way back from the states.
I'm muslim, but I've been known to completely flaunt the 'no dogs' rules several times since I'm a complete bleeding heart for most animals. =/

I'm a cooking nut and I love to experiment with different ingredients. Sometimes they come out good, while other times they're a complete failure. I often Google recipes.
And another random fact? I'm making my strawberry pretzel salad today.
