Finally they had got to Cherrygrove city. Bane had gone and got Mizu a jacket like his from this clothes bane knew that helped make bane's clothes. Cause you see, it is very hard for bane to find clothes that fit with his size.
In any case, Mizu was walking along happily beside bane, with his jacket on and hood up. Bane would have chuckled but he had a small headache and his head felt weird. Mizu noticed this and spoke, though for bane it sounded different then the normal Squirtle sound. "Hey, you ok?" "Hm? yeah I'm fine....wait...what?" He looked round and saw nothing.
Mizu spoke again, "Huh? did you just understand me?" Bane looked to mizu. "Wait, mizu? That you speaking?" Mizu nodded, "Yeah, why?" Bane then chuckled a little. "Huh, wow, I understand pokemon. Helpful." "Hey we can talk correctly now." "Heh, yeah we can, must of got it from that small ruins trip i did." Bane shrugged, he didn't really know. "Heh, yeah maybe.So, what we doing now?"
"Right now I want to train this pokemon I found , this called a rockruff. Could be helpful in the future." "Ah wants us to be round the same ability, right?" "Yup. Come on lets find some pokemon to fight." With that they started walking through the tall grass. OOC Decided it was time I used the template again XD

Cherrygrove City and Route 30 were experiencing a very misty few days, the not-quite-fog generally lending a rather gloomy, considerably damp cast to both areas that many people weren't particularly thrilled with. But out on Route 30 there were Pokemon to be had, out with little regard to the weather, and where there were Pokemon, trainers weren't far behind. Of course, the mist made things a little harder to see, and thus Bane wouldn't likely see what was approaching until they were almost upon each other. Rising out of the wet grass was a long bug net, sagging from the moisture it had accumulated from its owner's insistent trampling through the route in search of his beloved Bug-types. He could hear their cries, but finding them was proving ineffective despite his best efforts, leaving Wade rather sour.
Holding his net more securely against his body, the young bugcatcher turned round and renewed his search with determination, for once glad that the weather was all misty like this. It made Bug-types feel a little more secure that bird Pokemon couldn't swoop down with their sharp, sharp eyes and even sharper talons to snatch them away. If only he could find them! A sudden cry sounded out to his left, and Wade spun excitedly to face that way - it sounded like a Weedle, something he hadn't seen since his own had evolved ages ago. Grinning widely, Wade started creeping through the grass slowly with his net raised above his head, spotting a dark shape as he got closer.
Excitement getting the best of him, he swung the net as hard as he could... and ended up clocking Bane with it instead as the other trainer stepped through the mist with his Squirtle. "Oh no! I'm so sorry sir!" Wade yelped, hastily backstepping with a frantic look. He'd mistaken Mizu for the Weedle, but thankfully, or not depending on one's point of view, Bane had blocked his Squirtle from getting caught inadvertently in Wade's net. "See, I heard this bug over here, and I just wanted to try and catch it, but like, you were here instead. So I'm really sorry!" the bugcatcher continued to babble, halting as he really looked at Bane and then at Mizu.
It was like a lightbulb going off, the way his face lit up in childish glee. He hadn't found a bug yet, but a battle was always welcome to chase the monotony away. "Ooooh! You're a trainer aren't you? I can totally tell! So how about a battle? You know, to forget about this whole hitting you with my bugnet stuff," Wade said, grinning. Before Bane could reply, the boy was already taking a ball out and letting it fly, revealing a Metapod that landed with a solid thunk in the wet grass, somehow managing to look supremely annoyed despite lacking a mouth.

Bane and Mizu had been enjoying the misty surrounds somewhat before bane felt a net on him. A bug catcher had caught him it seemed. Mizu found it funny and laughed, "PFFFFTT HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU GOT CAUGHT! HAHAHHA-!"
Bane then gave him a look and mizu shut up completely. "Sorry..." Bane sort of nodded and looked back to the Bug Catcher. "Hey no worries. It is quite hard to see in this. By the seems of things your a bug catcher, you love bugs." Bane then paused.
"Though little advice, maybe turn down the excitement, then you may catch more bugs then people" Bane then chuckled a little, it was only a bug catcher, no harm done. Then the person said about a battle and that interested bane. "A battle huh? Your on."
Mizu then got excited. He wanted to see what this Rockruff bane had mentioned could do. Bane got out the pokeball and threw it up in the air. A brown dog coming out and landing on the other side of him. "Ooooo it's misty! Awesome! So what you want me for?"
Bane rolled his eyes this rockruff was always excited. "Today harly we have a battle, so show me what you can do all right" Harly nodded and out in front of bane. "YES SIR!" Bane then chuckled before giving an order. "Alright then Harly, Tackle and Bite!"
Having received her orders Harly charged into battle. Ready to tackle and bite. She wanted to impress and that is what she aimed for. Mizu just watched, waiting to see what kind of things this dog could do. OOC Posting thing to get the running shoes after this so by the time this is modded i SHOULD have the shoes. XD
So using Running Shoes XD

The bug catcher's eyes lit up at the sight of Harley, the boy emitting an excited gasp as he pointed at the hyper pup. "Oh wow! That's one of those new exotic pokémon from that island region, isn't it?" The question was rhetorical, Wade swinging his bug net around to rest on his shoulder as he observed the rocky hound. "She looks too fluffy for me though." The kid chuckled to himself. He looked down to his precious cocoon pokémon and smiled wider. "Alright Metapod, let's show these two what we can do! Start off with a Harden and then go in for a Tackle." The instructions were pretty simple, and really the only two moves his metapod knew, but there was a gem waiting to crack that hard shell and Wade wasn't going to stop at anything to raise Metapod up to that point. Harley, practically chomping a the bit to get in some playtime, raced forward to slam into the hardened bug. For any other type of pokémon it would probably have been an unpleasant experience whamming into such a hard surface. But the rockruff's body was just as rigid. Harley had no issues with ramming into it, though the next time it'd be even harder as the Metapod's shell gleamed with a fresh layer. Still, though, she was a rock type. With a cheery yip she bit down into the bug type, her teeth only barely breaching the outer layers to do a fair bit of damage beyond. What was more disconcerting was that Metapod didn't wriggle at all under her grip. Harley released her playmate and backed off a little, curious why this opponent was just sorta sitting there. Metapod took that as it's cue. A thin string shot out from the bug and latched onto a tree branch. With a small hop it lifted into the air and swung toward Harley. Sadly the impact that followed was like being bopped with a pillow, but it did look like quite a bit of fun. Trainer Battle

Bane and Mizu watched as the battle had begun, it was going well. This kid was doing for the defence method. Heh, it wasn't going to work, not in bane's mind anyway. Mizu had a small smirk as he watched Harly and this Metapod go at it. "Huh, not bad."
"Not bad? What you mean?! I'm doing great!" Bane chuckled hearing this and soon replied to this kid. "She is form the island. But If I were you I wouldn't let her appearance fool you." Harly then realised but the kid had said. "Hang on! Too fluffy?! What do you mean too fluffy?! I'm just right..."
Bane smiled and rolled his eyes, he was getting used to harly, but in any case he proceeded to say the next order. "aright,Harly Tackle!" Harly nodded and began to charge forward at the Meta pod once more. OOC Harly using Tackle.

Wade continued to observe the exotic hound with great interest. He was used to Metapod not really being great on the offensive, but his bug's tackle attack didn't even leave an impression on Harley. He quietly admired the deceiving rock type until Bane made a comment regarding underestimating his rockruff. "Yeah no kidding. She's not just a typical normal type that's for sure." He chuckled lightly following, still a little baffled as to what exactly he was facing here. After a brief hmmm the bug catcher put on another wide grin. Hand gripping the handle of his long net tightly he flung his other hand into the air, "But we're not going to give up just cause we don't know what we're facing! Right Metapod? Let's return with a Tackle too." The cocoon pokémon didn't do much in the way of acknowledging the support or command, but Wade was well accustomed his his bug pokémon and knew how to catch the most subtle notes of appreciation from the metapod. His smile widened even as Harley came rushing forward for her attack. It was hard to miss, really. The stationary pod was bowled over with ease. Though, perhaps too easily. The crescent shaped pokémon used the momentum provided by Harley's tackle to jump up and reciprocate the notion straight into her side. The move was a tiny bit more effective than last time but still did barely anything to put a chip in her natural armor. "Jeepers mister, what is she made of? Rock?" Wade gasped, throwing out the first thought that came to mind. Trainer Battle

Bane watched as the battle went on and chuckled at the bug catcher as he talked. Harly on the other hand was doing well. "Atta girl harly girl keep it up!" Harly nodded to him and responded. "Will do sir!" With that she jumped side to side a bit ready for the next order.
But she would have to wait for that. "As for you. She is called a ROCKruff what do think she is? Feathers?" Mizu chuckled at that one while Harly rolled her eyes and stood proud. "Now Harly, give us another tackle!" "On it!"
With that Harly charged forward once more as Mizu started to cheer her on a bit. To the bug catcher it sounded like "Squirtle!Squirtle!Squirtle!Squirtle!" But for Harly and Bane it was more like "Harly!Harly!Harly!Harly!"
Bane sighed a little, he questioned Mizu sometimes but at the same time Mizu was still growing. Plus Bane used to be like that as a kid so he figured it was a growing up thing.Now the ball was in the Metapod's court so to say. OOC Harly using Tackle again. Mizu is cheering her on.

While Wade struggled with common sense, Harley was getting revved up for more. Her previous hits had struck true, despite Metapod's defense boost. The hard exterior body of the bug was still vulnerable to attack, even if the pup had to sit there and just gnaw on it. When Bane replied about the typing of Rockruff, and the bit of obvious typing in her name, Wade scratched the back of his neck sheepishly. He may have turned a bit red in the process. "Oh man... I can't believe I missed that! I just said the first dumb thing that came to mind. Not on my full game today, am I Metapod?" He chuckled. "Catchin' humans in my net, wondering what type this ROCKruff is..." He seemed pretty light-hearted about it, at least.
"Jeepers, mister. Your Pokemon sure are energetic!" Wade eventually commented, hearing Mizu in the backline cheering for Harley. While he didn't understand what the Squirtle was cheering, it was still nice to see the Pokemon supporting each other. Wade was trying to catch more Pokemon for Metapod support, so it warmed his heart. "Well we're still not gonna give up, even if we know what we're facing! Rock or not, we push forward! Tackle!" Knowing good and well it wouldn't have much effect, Metapod obediently surged forward, shuffling through the grasses. Too bad it's attack hadn't been heightened in the process of hardening, perhaps they'd get somewhere...
Harley wasn't about to let Metapod have all the fun. Successfully cheered from the sidelines, Harley surged forward as well. All four paws thudded against the ground as she ran forward towards the bug. Metapod wasn't going to be quicker than the pup, so it braced itself for the hit. Harley's impact was enough to send the bug back a few inches, but it used the same bit of momentum to slam it's own body into the Rockruff. While it didn't do much damage, it was still a solid hit. There was a sharp sound as Metapod clacked against the body of the rock type. "Solid hit! Even if it didn't do as much as we want, we're still in the game!" But for how long?

Bane smirked as he saw the Metapod getting a wobbly and knew what that meant. "Good girl Harly. Now time to finish this" Harly nodded at that getting ready as she waited for the order. "You watching Mizu?" "Yes sir." "Good, now learn what it means to be me"
Mizu watched as Bane called the order. "Now Harly finish this with a tackle!!" Harly speed into action with her excited grin while bane had a smirk. Mizu couldn't see Bane's smirk but from the eyes Mizu saw it. He understood now, what it means to be bane. A battle ready person that is scared of no one and no challenge. Crush all in the way and never let ANYONE call you weak.
Mizu smirked and chuckled upon that, he really wanted to be like bane now. And he was going to try hard to become so one day. But for now he was going to train at bane's side and have fun. OOC Harly used Tackle.

Not long at all. That's how much time they had before Metapod would be on the receiving end of another bull rush by the rocky pup. Feeling a tingle spike down both his arms Wade made a quick call for Metapod to mimic Harley's own tackle. If only the rockruff wasn't so much faster. Harley barrelled into the cocoon pokémon, sending it awkwardly rolling to the side and unable to do anything about it. The bug catcher gasped, eying his favorite type motionless on its side while the hound circled back to her trainer. "Metapod?" He let the word hang in the air for a moment, craning his neck up to try and get a different angle. It was really hard to tell when these motionless pod pokémon were fainted, since they tended to just sit still when awake. But there was no answer. Wade let half a chuckle out then recalled his first pokémon back into its ball. "You did your best buddy. Guess it's Kakuna's turn now!" The boy chucked his second pokéball and out came the yellow shelled cousin to Harley's first opponent. Wade then looked up to Bane with a light smile. "Facing a rock type we may not have much of a chance, but any experience is good experience, right?" he paused, adjusting the net in his hands. "I should try and get me one of those pokédexs so I'm not surprised by all these new exotic types running around, haha!" he joked. He'd like to think that if he had any knowledge going into the fight about what Harley was, even just knowing her species name, he maybe could have planned better. But in reality his team just wasn't prepared for such a matchup. Oh well. "At least I know what a rockruff looks like now," he added, lips turning into a grin as he got back into the game. "Ready Kakuna! This guy's got some tough pokémon so we're going to have to be top of our game!" The hard shelled pokémon wobbled on the spot and sputtered its name.

Harly smiled as her oppenent fell down and jumping on the spot. "Wooo hooo!!" Bane chuckled and rolled his eyes a bit, "Good job Harl. Now take a break." Harly nodded as she high pawed/fived with mizu before being sent back to her pokeball.
With that the next pokemon from he bug catcher was sent out. Mizu go ready to battle but Bane stopped him. "Not yet, lets see if our feline can do well shall we?" Mizu seemed confused but then remembered what Bane said before. 'You might be able to put out it;s flames Mizu but these flames will be helpful against those that use bug types, like he second gym.'
Mizu then chuckled and smirked as he nodded. "So come out Balor!" Bane threw the pokeball up in the air before a black and red cat landed on his shoulder. "Mreoowwww!" The cat then looked around and smirked. "A battle hey? Nice, I could do with a stretch." Bane held his arm forward as Balor walked along it before jumping down to battle. "Lets start with Scratch Balor!"
"Awwwwww, no Ember? Shame, fire is fun." Bane sighed a little but that would be something to work on later. In any case Balor rushed forward ready to try and get the first attack in. OOC Swapped out for Balor. Balor using Scratch.

"You sure have a lot of those new exotic pokémon mister," the bugcatcher observed, giving Bane a great big smile. He had another guess on what types this new opponent could be but he wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being wrong. Especially since Bane didn't start off with the super effective move Wade anticipated. But that was okay. "Let's get going Kakuna!" he shouted, jumping on the spot and pointing at the litten. "Get 'em with your stinger."The cocoon pokémon quietly kek'd the first half of its name and waited for the feline to get close. It was used to everything else being faster than it. It was ready. Balor trotted forth, little white claws extended and ripping into the ground as he went. When he was close he raked his front claws against the hard shell of the bug, disappointed in how little an effect it had. As his nose upturned the Kakuna struck. It rocked back and extended a stinger that poked Balor on his chest as the cat reeled back. It stung rather badly, but the tingling burn didn't stick. "That's the way Kakuna! Nice work."Trainer Battle

Bane and Mizu watched Balor carefully as he forward with his charge. Mizu smirked when he saw Balor successfully hit the enemy. But then winced a small bit as he heard what balor had to say. "Owwww man! That stinger hurts, stop it!"
Mizu held in a giggle which made Balor glare at him a bit. "Easy now Balor. Alright, give them your favourite" Balor smirked at that one and got into a ready stance as he carefully got the attack ready. "Bring it on boy my pokemon is ready for whatever attack you may have" Bane was trying to lure them in a bit, catch them off guard.
OOC Balor using Ember.

Hearing the next order, Wade could only hope that this little kitten wasn't capable of the moves that he was expecting. He looked down at his Kakuna, a little concerned to tell the truth. However, this new Pokémon was quite the interesting opponent. Wade couldn't help but smile. This battle was proving to be quite fun for him. "Kakuna, buddy, hang in there and wait for your chance!" he called out to his partner. The Bug type replied calmly; it knew how these battles went by now. Its trainer didn't have much choice in terms of moves, after all. Balor was, of course, the first to move again. The agile kitten's cheeks puffed out as it took in a sharp breath, preparing to fire. A second or so after, he let loose a powerful Ember attack. Wade sighed upon seeing it. "So it is a Fire type after all... man, this'll be rough." How bad Kakuna must've felt then, as the cinders smacked into its hard shell, battering the poor insect. Kakuna hummed in discomfort, waiting for its opportunity to retaliate. As the fire began to die down, Wade made his order known. "Alright, one more time, Kakuna! Sting 'em good!" With the distance, Kakuna only had one choice now. It fell onto its back and launched its stinger right toward Balor. The poisonous missile dug into its target's fur, leaving the feline to flinch in discomfort, but little more than that. "Tough Pokémon you got there, mister! We're not giving in though!" With that comment, Wade grinned widely. He was going to give this his all, even if it was an uphill struggle. Trainer Battle

Bane chuckled as Balor went straight on with that attack. Mizu was kinda amazed at how much that ember seemed to hurt. He was glad Balor was an ally an not an enemy. Bane then nodded as he heard Wade's comment. "That's the spirit.That attitude can get you far. Maybe even a badge one day. Who knows." While bane doubted that bug types could beat the first gym which he heard was flying it didn't hurt to encourage the boy.
Balor was smiling at his successful attack and he was a bit better now. "Some fire never hurts." Bane smirked at that. "Seriousness Balor. Finish it. Same again!" Balor nodded getting flames ready once more. "It has been good battling you. Lets just hope you catch more bugs then people." Bane chuckled deciding it was better to be nice to the boy. After all, the boy did nothing wrong.
