"I told you," chimed the dancer, a wide smirk spread across her face as she watched her fluffy little eevee reel back from not just hurting her own head, but by the physical attack that added insult to injury. Aria could barely stand up right after all that. Her head was spinning, things a blur, and the stark contrast of their light bubble and the creeping darkness of the imposing cave just too much for her. The evolution pokémon whimpered. Pleading for help as stars whirled around in her eyes. Lenore let out a long sigh The satisfaction of being proven right quickly wore off. She had better things to do than gloat over her own naive pokémon. She brought up Aria's pokéball and withdrew the staggered eevee. "Maybe next time you'll trust me then, hmm?" she spoke to the ball before slipping it securely through the leather loop in her long coat. "Aren't you the devious one ey?" she complimented the wild mawile. "Just know I'm going easy on you right now," the woman continued, shifting weight onto one leg in the direction that was Red. A subtle hint that she could end this at any time. The charmeleon stood behind, arms crossed, tail crackling quietly. "But that would be no fun, wouldn't it? So, keep me interested and I won't collect you from a burning heap." She smiled sweetly at the end, as if she hadn't just threatened the steel type. Her hand came back into view holding a different ball. Flicking her wrist it went into the air and popped open to reveal a young grass type. Sera chirped happily before she noticed where they were: a dank, dark cave. Her spirits dampened a little, a soft grumble before she shrugged it off. Half turning around to view Lenore she passed an envious glare at Noh for half a second before turning her eyes onto the dancer expectantly. "I want this one Sera, so don't go too rough. Use Mega Drain to start."

The mawile looked complacent as Lenore semi-scolded the eevee, it had clearly not been a part of her plan and hopefully it would succeed in making it more difficult for her. IT didn't care much for how Lenore and her pokemon's relationship was, but it wanted to give a proper challenge. It narrowed its eyes as Lenora subtly threatened it with her charmeleon and it turned to look Red up and down and then did its best to pretend it didn't see that as a threat at all. It was pretty sure the battle would end quickly if Red was sent out, that tail flame look too big and unnerving to its taste. The mawile huffed and rolled its eyes, it was no prize for Lenore to just have fun and play with as long as she found it amusing. As the next pokeball was sent flying with an unknown opponent, the mawile wasted no time and filled the air with a shimmering wind that met Sera the moment she was out. It clearly didn't bother the petilil that much as she just looked around and half-turned to face her trainer. the mawile wasn't sure of what to think about Lenore's comment about wanting it, it was pleased it had impressed her but it didn't like it be seen as a thing the human could just take if she wanted. The mawile blinked as it felt a bit weaker all of the sudden although it couldn't see that Sera had done anything other than staring at it. It felt like the petilil would continue stealing all the mawile's energi if it didn't do something about it! The mawile swung its big black jaw towards the petilil and opened it wide, setting loose another Wild Encounter [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] [attr="class","qkt-clip"]Mawile LV8 HP 64% [18/28] [attr="class","qkt-wild-imgbox"] [attr="class","qkt-pkmn-img"] [attr="class","qkt-trainer-pkmn"] [attr="class","qkt-clip"]Aria LV 13 HP 86% [33/38] [attr="class","qkt-trainer-imgbox"] [attr="class","qkt-pkmn-img"] Wild Mawile: [-1 acc], used Fairy Wind twice! Sera hadn't quite realized she was being attacked until she had turned to see the Mawile finishing up the first fairy wind. It had been unpleasant, but the grass pokémon had just assumed that was something about the awful cave she had been brought out to fight in. Discovering it was caused by the odd cave dweller before her made the cave itself feel less terrible, but not by much. To recover most of that damage she went straight to sending out her proverbial feelers to drain some of it away from her opponent and give it back to herself. It was a refreshing feeling. The energy was so fluffy, yet somehow also very heavy. An interesting mixture to say the least. Another wind came stronger than the last. It was as if Mawile was making an effort to make a point not just by focusing on Lenore's pokémon but to also send a residual amount directly to the trainer. A bunch of dust was blasted her way as the fairy wind picked up and washed over the petilil, causing the dancer to shield her eyes. It wasn't much more than an unpleasant breeze that smelt of earth but the continued rebellion of the steel-fairy made Lenore itch even more to capture it. She laughed, almost unable to catch her breath as her heart pounded. All the misfortune and stress from the dunsparce incident seemed completely washed away by the attack. Noh was, on the other hand, displeased by the inclusion. "No trouble ruffling up things outside of a battle ey?" she commented, ignoring Noh's quiet complaints. She eyed Mawile hungrily. "Again Sera," was all she said. The petilil hummed in acknowledgement.

The mawile staggered as more of its energy got sucked out and it glared at Sera, it was not fair! Stealing its energy like this, it was fully aware that the petilil took it all for herself and it was a bit frustrating to experience not being able to give some proper resistance when it wanted a challenge. It felt like a toy Lenore and her pokemon just played with before ending it and it almost wished that Red had been its opponent since then this would at least have been over with already. It narrowed its eyes. No, it refused to give up, if Sera wasn't going to play by the rules and make this a real challenge it wasn't going to do either! If no proper battle it just didn't wan't to battle at all! Of course it would require it to successfully get away but it felt certain that it would be no problem. It moved like it had done all the times it had used Fairy Wind but when it opened its black jaw wide, nothing came. Instead it spun around and shouted the pokemon equivalent of "boo!" Sera flinched and fell on her non-existing buttom, it hurt a bit sitting down so hard on the rock surface of the floor, but it wasn't a thing that would bother the petilil much, if at all. Mawile took the chance and ran. Lenore smirked as she continued to observe the snarky mawile. It was beginning to get frustrated. That high ponyta it had rode in on had finally bucked and now it was just lashing out in an attempt to overcome the leeching barrier Sera was buffing herself with. The steel fairy's tiredness was showing. She was wearing it down both physically and mentally. The showgirl was content enjoying that fact quietly from the sidelines. There was no reason to openly tease or gloat. She did want this pokémon on her side after all. Though, from the looks of it the mighty Mawile was looking a bit rabbitish. After a short hmmm Lenore piped up, "Almost there. One more, then put it to sleep Sera." The petilil had taken a moment to brush herself off of the dirt that had collected when she fell over, but was quick to chime acknowledgement of the order. Lenore kept her attention on the wild pokémon, watching for those facial responses she so enjoyed. Mawile broadcasted its feelings through them. She wondered what it would think of being helpless on the floor, snoozing away as Lenore went to reel it in. The thought tickled her. Cold shivers prickling her fingers and spine. Why was she being so maliciously playful of this one? A question she didn't really care to think much about nor answer. The charmeleon at her side felt much the same. Red watched with a spark in her eyes, claws itching. The fire lizard began flexing her fingers just to ease some of that feeling.

Mawile didn't get far before Sera once again stole some of its energy and now it really staggered. It paused and then fell to its knees and began to cry violently in an attempt to get goodwill from Lenore and her pokemon, if they felt sorry for it, they would let their guards down. It looked devastated at Sera. "Why are you doing this to me?" It cried out and begged her to stop, Sera moved closer and it searched the petilil's eyes for any sign of compassion or guilt, that showed she had fell for it. It did its best to look hopeful and innocent as the grass type moved closer, it planned on using another Fairy Wind when its opponent was least expecting it. That should do the trick and give it the chance to run for it, it refused to just give up and let Lenore have her way, not without it having had a proper chance. Sera got in close and then filled the air with spores and the mawile narrowed its eyes a bit in suspicion as it had never experienced something like that before. What was the petilil up to? As the spores drifted down over it is sniffed cautiously and opened its mouth to taste it carefully. It would soon regret it but it didn't know any better, it got a feeling it had messed up when the sleepiness hit it but it went too fast for it to really react. It frowned as it realized its mistake and collapsed on the ground, snoring peacefully and forgetting for now all the frustration and trouble it had been in. The woman burst out laughing once Mawile hit the floor. "Oh sweet thing, you didn't even know what hit you," she jabbed. Not that the slumbering fairy type would even be able to hear her. "Good work Sera." The compliment brought a beam of pride in the little sprout. She turned away and skipped back to her trainer, smiling up at the dancer. Lenore returned the smile but no pet came as the fight wasn't over just yet. Lenore bent down and set Noh on the ground, "Just a moment hun. It's too hard to throw with you in my arms," she explained to the pink puff. The jiggly reluctantly accepted it, frowning a little but not putting up any sort of fuss. The showgirl then went digging into her sodden bag, a bit of a flinch as the sack made gross wet noises as she searched it at arms length. Like she wanted any excess water to dribble down on her. Eventually she pulled out the appropriate ball. It wasn't too hard to find really, as she had so many of the darn things. "How I ever got so many of these things I'll never know," she muttered to herself, shaking her head lightly as she repositioned the bag and turned her attention back to the sleeping mawile. Activating the device she sent it flying toward her target. She watched the limp form disappear in a flash of light and crossed her fingers.

The pokeball shook to the left... Then to the right, it spun around as it grazed a rock.. Then it sprang open and the mawile stood on its feet a bit unsteady, and at first it didn't look like it was aware that Lenore and her pokemon were still present. Then it jerked awake and looked around frantically as it tried to catch up with what had happened. It locked its eyes on Sera and its face twisted to one full of rage as it realized what she had done to it. That had not been fair at all! It spun around so its backhead-jaw pointed at the petilil and then let lose a fierce pink wind that went straight through Sera and felt like it wanted to shred her appart. Not that it did as much but there was no doubt about the intention behind it. The mawile pointed an accusing finger first at Sera and then at Lenore who it knew was the mastermind behind all this, it was not going to fall for that trick again. Not if it had anything to say on that matter and it would make sure it did! For now the adrenaline and rage kept it going and made it forget how tired it actually was, so for now it stayed and readied another attack to send in Sera'a direction. She sighed, a little disappointed. The sooner she captured this thing the sooner she could get out of this place and into some warm, dry clothes. No doubt Noh was thinking along similar lines as she puffed out her cheeks in annoyance at the mawile breaking out of the pokéball. A soft squeak of a puff escaped her and rippled into the cave atmosphere. Red snickered lightly. The rage of the steel type just kept reaching new heights. A little reckless and no doubt a sore loser, but a quitter wasn't a label the showgirl would give the wild pokémon. Some of that other stuff would have to be tempered. "Well that's no good." Lenore went for another empty pokéball while giving Sera some more instructions, "Sera, another round of powder alright? Otherwise I don't think any pokéball's going to contain that," she emphasized with a thrust of her chin out toward the glaring beast. The grass type nodded in agreement, working up some of her sleep powder and deciding how best to make the approach. Should the mawile succumb to Sera's charm once again Lenore was ready to throw a ball; but only if it was sleeping. No point in throwing it otherwise.

However, the Mawile knew what was going on this time, there was no way it was going to let it happen again. The backhead-jaw opened up once more and let off a large gust of pink. It gust blew the sleep powder away and this time seemed to hit harder as Sera winced a little. The Mawile stared down at Sera and Lenore seemingly even more angry then before as the jaw stayed slightly open. As if the Mawile was ready to let another attack off as soon as Sera moved. It seemed like the Mawile was not going to back down, even now. "Aw, just look at you," the dancer spoke up, putting a hand to her face with a single finger running up her cheek. "That fire just won't let you sit back and let me take you hmm?" Her admiration of that aspect of Mawile hadn't changed. She liked that it wans't a quitter but... It was also incredibly aggravating when she was standing soaked head to toe in this cave. Lenore tried not to let her annoyance show too much but her impatience was starting to get the better of her. "Go on Sera, have another go. I want that wild pokémon asleep," she lightly demanded. Her hands dropped into a crossed arms position, weight shifting back so her frontward foot could tap the ground. The metallic clang of her shoes against the rocky ground quietly ringing in the background atmosphere of the cave. She still held the empty pokéball in her hand; waiting. If it didn't work this time then she may just knock it out anyways. It would save on her supplies and just be easier, but it wouldn't feel like winning. Capturing the mawile while it was conscious was the victory. The petilil bobbed her head up and down in reply to her trainer. The steel type was beginning to wear her out with all that blustering. A single one wasn't particularly taxing but without the draining those fairy winds were really starting to chip away at her vitality. This only made her more determined to succeed. Sera watched carefully. Mawile brushed some more of the sand out of its eyes, the usually red orbs edged in pink from the agitation. Lenore took that into consideration as well. Perhaps they'd get lucky and be able to delay the knockout should Aria's efforts finally pan out into something.

The mawile made an annoyed grimace as Lenore commented on its refusal to let her dictate its life, not if it could do anything to avoid it. It rolled its eyes when Lenore ordered the same attack once again, couldn't they come up anything better? It had talked a lot with its sister earlier about how to use the surroundings and not be too predictable in a battle as it made it much easier to counter the moves. It knew that there was little in here that really was dangerous to it and that it was the reason for its parents to have moved in here in the first place, but that didn't mean you'd had to slack off and do the same thing over and over. It had thought a human and their pokemon, who did fighting for a living would know better! The mawile could come up with plenty of options of what to do against the petilil the only problem was that it had to wait for it to release the sleep spores to counter them, see? That was why you had to mix things up sometimes, or else it would just inhale them again, but then! Then it would be free to surprise and take down the cheating grass type and show what a real challenge meant. Sera took her time though and Lenore's foot tapping began to annoy the mawile. A tic appeared under one of its eyes and it sent a quick glare at the human, that sound echoed through the tunnel and would surely end up giving the steel type a headache. That was what Sera had waited for and she filled the air with spores the moment the mawile looked away. The deceiver pokemon gasped and made a furious shriek before clasping its hands to its mouth to avoid inhaling any of the spores. A few heartbeats went by and as it seemed like the steel type stayed away it relaxed a bit, it readied another fairy wind to blow the spores away as it wouldn't be able to hold its breath for much longer, but then it without warning collapsed on the ground, sound asleep. A few spores must have affected it at first and now it fell into a deeper and deeper sleep as it kept inhaling more of the spores with every breath. It wasn't aware of the pokeball that sucked it in, but even in its sleep it fought the capture vigorously. To no avail, in the end it lost that battle as well and the pokeball lay still at last, Lenore had got her will. Sera endured and came out victorious! She gains +1 lvl and grows to lvl 14! Her fists were clenched, teeth as well, as the ball rocked around. All she could think was 'Stay in the ball, stay in the ball!' As was rather apparent by the look on her face. All her attention was focused on the device trying to house the wild mawile. When finally it ceased and the click sounded she clapped her hands and shouted in celebration. Her voice carried on echoing through the cavern like a cheering crowd as she rushed forward to swipe the pokéball from the rocky floor. The woman brought it to her cheek and rubbed it like she would an adorable, fluffy, baby pokémon, a deep laugh rumbling in her chest. In short time she watched the ball disappear from her hands into the ether as it was transported to her PC storage. A relieved sigh came from her, a pause in her movements so she could take a look at the three she had in her current company. Sera had already begun eagerly shuffling toward the trainer in order to receive praise for her good work. Lenore met her partway and scooped her up. "Very good Sera, this would have been harder without you," she lied, tickling the grass type's tummy and setting her back on the ground. Noh hmmmd her disagreement, turning her eyes away and sticking her non-existent chin in the air. "Now we can finally get out of here and to the comforts of the best hotel around!" she shouted with glee. Lenore returned Sera to her ball then made to bring her little pink diva back into her arms but the jigglypuff resisted. Hopping to the side Noh slapped the woman's hands away like a gentle pillow whap. The woman stood back tall and put her hands on her hips, visage souring into one of disapproval. But Noh didn't care. Or at least that's what she wanted her trainer to believe. "Puff!" she called. Her spun back around to put her back to Lenore and Red then started resuming her way back outside of the cave. Looking to the impish charmeleon at her side, Lenore caught the quiet snickers and couldn't help but smirk herself. She shrugged. At least she wouldn't have to carry the puffball around on their way out then. The two followed after their light provider and finally made their way back to daylight.
