Hunting in the dark(F)

The Dunsparce knew it had run into a troublesome situation that there was likely no getting out of when it popped its head out of the tunnel. The land snake pokemon was going to make an attempt to escape, however. It had been spotted and it had to at least attempt to get away. The Dunsparce's tail began to burrow furiously as it tried to make its escape backwards. However, the Hawlucha was not going to let the Dunsparce get away that easy, as it had seemed.

Before the Dunsparce could even realize, the Hawlucha landed the karate chop move upon the wild Dunsparce and left it there, fainted. It was a futile attempt to escape by the Dunsparce, to say the least. The Dunsparce was not the pokemon the trainer and his Hawlucha were looking for, and they had made quick work of the land snake Pokemon and gotten it out of their way. How many more Pokemon and hunting in the dark would it take before Tyler and his Hawlucha would find what they were looking for in the Dark Cave?

With another swift victory Senorita Ramirez was very proud of herself. She had handled the Dunsparce without any major issues and won in a single blow. Even Tyler had to admit things could have gone far worse than they did. " That was at least not a terrible display though we really do need to teach you a better fighting type move before the next gym. Karate Chop will be nearly useless there so it is a very good thing that you are close to replacing it." He said as Senorita Ramirez walked back towards him hoping to catch a short break before they ran into any more Pokemon. 

Flint on the other hand could hardly wait for something else to jump out as he wanted to train more as well. He could feel he was inching closer to evolution and knew how strong he would be once he became a Charizard. Since both Mania and Höllenhund were not options in the next gym Tyler could at least avoid them fighting over a battle for a little while though he knew he would need both to train more once they reached Ecruteak City. For the time being though focusing on Blitz, Flint, and Senorita Ramirez made the most sense as they started to hear more noises in the cave not for a moment thinking it was anything else but a Pokemon who had been attracted to their location due to the last battle. " I think we might have more visitors and though luck has not been on our side so far we are bound to get lucky at one point or another if we keep looking. The Pokemon we are after has to be here." He said as Flint stepped forward wanting to battle.

Tyler had no problem with using the fiery lizard but he wanted to see which Pokemon would pop out next before he would order him to attack. " Flint hold back for a few minutes until we know for sure what is heading our way. We do not want to knock it out if it is the Pokemon we are after. Blitz keep shining your light in the darkest parts of the cave to try and flush it out." Having done everything in his power to draw out the Pokemon he was after Tyler waited to see if luck would finally be on his side. If nothing else he was doing all he could to find the Pokemon he was after.

It would not be long before Tyler and his team were greeted by another Pokemon, but it was most likely not one they were on the lookout for. It was a pokemon that looked almost identical to the one the Hawlucha had just defeated, except the second Dunsparce appeared to be just a bit younger and smaller than the first. But it seemed to have some kind of want for vengeance for the previously defeated Dunsparce. It was angry that it had been defeated, and wanted to avenge his fellow Dunsparce. The relationship between the two? Who could know. But what was known, though, was that Tyler had an angry land snake Pokemon on his hands.

The Dunsparce clearly wouldn't provide much of a challenge to Tyler's Pokemon, however. It's level was far below that of any of the Pokemon on Tyler's team. It was very highly doubtful the Dunsparce would last more than one hit against any of the opponent's team.

Tyler could not believe his mixed luck was at it again. On one hand Dunsparce were not a common sight in the Dark Cave but on the other hand it was still not the Pokemon he was after. This one being rather low leveled did not help much either but any chance he had at all to raise Senorita Ramirez he would take even if she would not gain a whole lot of experience from the battle. As he took a deep breath he started to speak to Senorita Ramirez to go over the battle plan again as the plan worked great the last time. 

" Ok, listen to me birdbrain, I want you to use Karate Chop on this pest so we can move on and hopefully have better luck soon." The luchador Pokemon looked at him fully grasping what her wanted her to do but at the same time wishing she could get a break as she really had no interest in fighting the Dunsparce. There was no way she was going to talk Tyler out of it howecer and she knew she had to keep following his orders for her own good no matter how little the option pleased her.

Hoping to end the battle quickly she rushed towards the snake Pokemon with her wings stretched out to make herself look as intimidating as she could. She thought that if she scared the snake badly enough it would keep any more Dunsparce from heading their way until they got what they were after. When the snake refused to back down however Senorita Ramirez hesitated to attack it and Tyler grew livid at her. He nearly screamed at the top of his lungs to get her to follow his orders.

" Listen here you sorry excuse of a bird, if you do not take that snake down right now I will make hawk soup out of you. I do not care how sorry you might feel for it or that you do not want to hurt it. You will be in ten times worse shape than it will if it is not knocked out in a single blow. Now strike it down or I will make you pay dearly for your defiance." Realizing that her hesitation could really cost her more than she was willing to pay she raised her wing and then made her move praying the whole time to please Tyler before things got any worse for her.

The Dunsparce was only angered more by the tone of voice the Pokemon trainer had while referring to it as a pest. The Pokemon felt bad for the way Tyler treated his Pokemon, but there was nothing the weak Dunsparce could do about that. Swift as it could be, Senorita Ramirez landed a Karate Chop attack onto the Dunsparce before it would even be allowed the chance to attack the Pokemon. The Hawlucha had make quick work of the angry land snake Pokemon, following Tyler's direction. As it would seem, this Dunsparce is not a Pokemon he was looking for either.

Maybe the pair would have better luck next time with finding the Pokemon they wanted and then Tyler would treat his Hawlucha better after finding it? Only time and luck would tell.

Now that the Dunsparce had been dealt with Tyler refocused his efforts into finding the Pokemon he was after yet again. He knew it might take some time but he never dreamed that it would take so long. He was just glad that he did not have a time limit and the time he spent in the cave would likely reduce the heat that might be placed on him for threatening a cop. He had no idea if the little worm had ratted him out or not but either way no one would come looking for him here. He just had to hope his luck in Pokemon would improve as getting the Pokemon he was after would be quite a score.

" My rotten luck is still doing everything it can to slow us down but I will keep going until I laugh in the face of fate. Senorita Ramirez and Flint you too be ready just in case we do run into what I am after this time around. Getting to headquarters with our target Pokemon in hand will make us look really good when they give us a new assignment. It certainly will look better than that Zigzagoon egg will that is for certain." He said as Senorita Ramirez heard a noise coming from behind a nearby boulder. As she started to walk over to investigate Blitz shined its light towards her hoping it would draw out whatever was behind the boulder.

" Whatever you are you had better pray you are the one I am after, if not you will be in for a world of hunt in about ten seconds. Now come out and show yourself before I really get angry." He said as Senorita Ramirez continued to walk towards the boulder with no response from whatever was behind it. As she approached she could start to see a silhouette but even with Blitz''s light she could not make out what it was. Just knowing something was there however was enough for Tyler to be on edge, though he was not going to risk knocking it out assuming it was the one he was after.

" Birdbrain do anything you can to draw it out in the open without harming it. We do not want to knock it out unless we know it is not the one we are after." He said as the bird karate chopped the boulder in front of the Pokemon to force it out into the open.

Listening to the trainer talk, the small Aron hoped it wouldn't be discovered by Tyler and his Pokemon, if it wasn't the Pokemon he was looking for. It was all he could hope for that he was the Pokemon the trainer was looking for, or else the fate of the Aron would most likely be a defeat from his Hawlucha like the two Dunsparces the Aron had seen Senorita Ramirez defeat previously. But what would its fate be if perhaps it was the Pokemon the trainer was looking for? What would the trainer do to the Aron if it did happen to be the Pokemon he was searching for?

The small rock and steel-type Pokemon could only hope for the best when the scary sounds of Tyler's voice came closer. The voice closed in and would soon be followed by the sound of a loud karate chop from the Hawlucha. The Aron soon found itself face-to-face with the Hawlucha, cornered with no where to run, even if the Pokemon wanted to attempt to escape.

The Aron appearing really annoyed Tyler as he knew for a fact that it was not the Pokemon he was after at all nor was it a very rare Pokemon at all but like before he was not going to completely waste the chance to train Senorita Ramirez as much as he wanted to train his other Pokemon. He knew the bird was more than capable of knocking out the dinosaur Pokemon without too much effort and that was the one great piece of news. He laid out his plans for the bird Pokemon quite clearly so that she would have no doubts about what she should do to Aron. His voice was so loud it echoed off of the cave walls again nearly causing Senorita Ramirez to go deaf from how loud it was.

" Just so we are clear birdbrain, I want you to bring down that Aron without the slightest hint of mercy. It is not the one we are after at all and their species is starting to annoy the daylights out of me. I want you to Karate Chop that thing so hard that even its own mother will not recognize it. If it gets back up after your strike I swear you will not. Am I absolutely clear?" Senorita started to shake as Tyler's words were quite blunt and clear to her and she knew if she hesitated at all things would not go well for her at all. As she looked over at the Aron she took a deep breath before getting ready to strike. She watched the Aron carefully waiting for a moment to rush towards it the moment it was caught off guard and the moment a small rock fell from the ceiling that fell near the Aron drawing its attention for a few seconds she started to run.

The bird Pokemon used speed to her advantage to get behind the young Aron ready to strike it dead center in the back as soon as she could line up her attack the right way as she looked over at Tyler one more time to make sure he still wanted her to strike. The look on his face made it very clear that she was wasting his time and she knew it was the moment to strike as she lifted up her wing and then slammed it down aiming at the Aron. She just hoped her attack would impress Tyler if she scored a hit.

The annoyed look given by Tyler as the Aron appeared out from behind the boulder was enough to show the Aron that it was not quite the Pokemon the trainer was looking for. The Aron already knew what was probably going to happen to it, and was simply trying to accept its fate. Besides, one massive Karate Chop would be all it would take for Senorita Ramirez to defeat it, just as it had wih the Dunsparce in the cave previously. Just hearing Tyler talk to his Pokemon was enough to strike more fear into the Aron even if it didn't seem possible for it to be anymore scared than it already was.

One furious Karate Chop attack from Tyler's Hawlucha was enough to defeat the small Aron, who was already weak enough to Fighting-typed attacks. It fell to the ground, entirely unconscious. At least since the Aron was unconscious, it wouldn't be able to feel the pain the Hawlucha had afflicted upon it anymore.

Senorita Ramirez defeated the Aron without much effort at all but there was still the problem of finding the Pokemon they were after. Tyler could not believe his rotten luck at locating the Pokemon he was after but at the same time he knew it was only a matter of time before luck would finally be on his side. " My rotten luck refuses to give me a break but if I keep going I know at some point I will finally get the break I need. A shame we do not have any way to influence our luck to increase our odds of getting lucky a bit but we will just have to go with the flow."

Senorita Ramirez was just glad to have a break for a few minutes as she had faced the last few Pokemon in a row with hardly any time to catch her breath. The last battle in particular really winded her as Aron's armor was tough and dealing with two of them so quickly took a lot of energy to overcome not to mention how much it hurt her wings to strike the hard armor with her flesh. While she rubbed her wing Mania and Höllenhund sniffed around looking for anything else that wanted to jump out and face Tyler while Blitz tried to draw anything out at all using its light. As his Pokemon searched high and low for another Pokemon they heard a loud noise coming from a tiny path leading through one of the walls and Blitz went to investigate with Tyler right behind.

" Given our current luck I will take any lead I can get. I have no idea what is making that noise but we are going to find out. I just hope our luck is finally going to turn around so we can capture the Pokemon we are after and then get out of here before we all turn old and gray."[/color] He said as he listened for the noise again which sure enough grew stronger as they entered another cavern. The sound grew louder and louder until Tyler reached the other end of the cavern and a huge boulder came into view. Out of desperation Tyler decided to break it open hoping it would draw out whatever was making the noise. " Senorita Ramirez use Karate Chop on that huge boulder, maybe it will draw out the source of that noise." The hawk then made her move as she went to chop the boulder in half.

This time the Pokemon that appeared from out of behind the boulder would show an entirely different emotion. The rock-type was angry at the Hawlucha for breaking the boulder it had been hiding behind from them, hoping not to have to suffer the same fate the Aron and several Pokemon before it had. It definitely wanted to not have anything to do with the Team Rocket Member or his Pokemon. The Geodude had just wanted to live in the cave in peace, but the trainer had and would take any chance of that away from the Geodude. For that reason, it was angry.

As much as it didn't want to be hit by the nasty Karate Chop attack from the Hawlucha, it also didn't want to be the Pokemon Tyler was looking for. Because if Geodude was the Pokemon he was looking for, then he had no idea what his fate would amount to in the hands of the Team Rocket Member. It was clear it did not treat his Pokemon well. At least if the rock-type wasn't the Pokemon the trainer was searching for, it would mean a painful defeat from the Hawlucha, but at least it would be left in peace afterwards.

Tyler honestly was not very surprised by the appearance of the Geodude at all as they were a very common sight in the Dark Cave and its rock like appearance meant that hiding behind the huge boulder made a lot of sense as annoying as it was to him as it was not even close to the Pokemon he was after. Just like Aron however it would make for a perfect punching bag for Senorita Ramirez to battle as it was weak to her Karate Chop attack just like Aron was even if the attack was not quite as effective due to both of Aron's types being weak to it while only one of Geodude's types were weak to it.

" Well this sure is fate at its finest messing with me again but I will still make the most out of another poor encounter. Senorita Ramirez if you manage to defeat this pest you should finally be able to learn Flying Press which will be very useful in our next gym battle. Do not let me down here as we are so close to being able to take on another mission after we finally capture the Pokemon we are after." He said as the hawk got ready for yet another battle that it did not want to participate in. Knowing she had no choice if she wanted to stay in one piece she knew she had to keep giving every battle her all until luck was on their side.

The hawk lifted up her left wing and walked towards the rocky Pokemon knowing that even in her sleep she could outrun it as she got ready to attack as soon as she was in range. The rocky Pokemon looked like it was pretty durable but it did not look as threatening from an offensive standpoint and she was going to try and take advantage of that as she reached her striking range. Before she could strike Tyler made things very clear that he wanted no quarter given to the unfortunate Geodude who chose to waste his time. " Senorita Ramirez do not hold back on this worthless pile of garbage or else Flint will have you for dinner with a lemon wedge. Use Karate Chop on that worthless Geodude and show it just how bad its judgement is." Having received her orders and not willing to face Tyler's wrath yet she obeyed his command and swiped down with her wing trying to score a direct hit.

Having been discovered behind the boulder by Senorita Ramirez and her trainer, the wild Rock-type Pokemon quickly knew for sure that it was not quite the Pokemon Tyler was looking for, whatever Pokemon he was in search of. The Geodude gave an even angrier look towards the trainer after it referred to it as a "worthless pile of garbage." First, the trainer wanted to disturb the Pokemon's peaceful rest behind the boulder that the Hawlucha had chopped, and now it wanted to insult the Geodude? "Ge-Geodude!" Without even remembering the fear it had before of the trainer and having been overcome with anger now, the Geodude took a fighting stance against the Hawlucha.

At least a quick and painful defeat from Tyler's Hawlucha would've been better than being captured by the trainer, or so the wild Geodude thought beforehand. Before the Rock-type could even attempt to leave a scratch on the Flying-type Pokemon, Senorita Ramirez landed a massive and powerful Karate Chop attack right onto it, slamming the Geodude into the ground of the cave. The hit, even being super effective, helped display the massive level gap between the Geodude and the Hawlucha.

The Geodude made an attempt to get up from the ground, but the rock body of the Pokemon was entirely unable to move. The Rock-type then fainted, with nothing left to give. It would just be another victim of Tyler's tireless search for the Pokemon he was looking for in the cave. It did not seem like he was going to stop anytime soon until he found the Pokemon.

Senorita Ramirez defeated the wild Geodude with one massive Karate Chop attack! (Wow! Give that bird a black belt already )

After defeating the Geodude Senorita Ramirez leaped into the air and smashed open a smaller boulder to celebrate her victory not even realizing that it was a new move that she just learned. " By the looks of things it appears you have learned Flying Press, which outside of a special species of Pikachu only your species can learn and that should be a big help in the next gym battle. However as great as that new move is it does not bring us any closer to running into the Pokemon we are still searching for. Our work is still not done but it is nice that at least one part of my plan has fallen into place." He said as he took a deep breath before trying to think of where they should look next.

He had to make sure not to raise his Pokemon too much before the next gym battle as he had a feeling that Team Rocket would have a mission for him once he left the cave and so he was debating exactly how much longer he should stay in the cave with his current team. Though he still had a decent amount of cushion left before he would risk having too many of his Pokemon go over the level cap he still knew the time was slowly approaching as a number of his Pokemon were only a few levels away from the cap even without undertaking any mission for Team Rocket. For now he deicded to keep searching the cavern he was currently in as he did not feel like traveling far and with how much noise the battle made if any Pokemon was going to have the bravery to face him staying near such a loud noise was the only logical option.

" Let's hope our luck turns around soon, we are not quite in any danger yet of going over the level cap for most of you but we are close enough that I will have to make changes to our team if we do not run into the Pokemon we are after soon. Everyone be on the lookout and if you see anything let me know so we can try and go after it. I have to give credit to the Pokemon we are after for its ability to hide so well. I have a lot of new found respect for the little critter after searching so long to no avail and with no signs of our luck changing any time soon. It has really earned my respect for trying so hard to avoid us." He said as he hoped his luck would finally pan out.

As Tyler expressed his desire to wrap up the search as quickly as possible, he might've noticed a slight glint of light not too distant from him and his team. In this darkest of caves, something was watching him. Something alive... well, kind of. A Pokémon, at the very least.

Bronzor poked an eye out from a far off corner in the cavern once again, trying its best to stay hidden as it kept watch over the trainer. It couldn't help but have taken notice of the commotion that Tyler's short-lived battles had made, and had been lured into seeking out the origin of all that ruckus. Now that it had seen what was causing it, Bronzor wished it hadn't bothered. That Hawlucha looked powerful. Strong enough to cause a serious dent in Bronzor's body, at least, if not worse.

Another glimmer of light faded as Bronzor once more returned to the safety of its hiding place. It was quite aware of its body's reflective properties and could only hope that it wasn't being noticed. Scared for its life, it would only take a few moments before the Steel type finally forced its own hand. A Zubat zipped by just behind it, screeching as it was wont to do. The sudden noise startled Bronzor, causing it to ring out in shock and dart out of its hiding place. Straight into the path of Tyler & Co. Bronzor looked around it panickedly in the hope that whatever had spooked it might've been first on Tyler's wish list, but the bat was long gone already. All that remained was a rather timid-looking steel mirror (thanks, Game Freak...). Quickly, Bronzor's fight-or-flight response kicked in and it charged at Tyler with reckless abandon, hoping to score a pre-emptive hit at least.
