Short and to the Poison Point [F]

As Venom jumped from tree branch to tree branch, and Nidorino ran along the forest floor below him, Venom really took the time to appreciate the natural beauty of this landscape. He'd always felt much more at home in the wilderness, rather then in the middle of a big city like most humans. After they'd gone a good distance into the Ilex Forest borderlands, Venom came to a stop on one of the larger tree branches, and Nidorino stopped directly below him on the ground not long after. The poison pin Pokémon looked up at his trainer with confusion, wondering why he'd stopped so suddenly. At the same time, Venom slowly closed his eyes and focused, his instincts highly attuned to the silent, and seemingly empty forest all around the venomous duo. Nidorino couldn't sense what his trainer was sensing at all, but stayed quiet none the less, curious to see what would end up happening.

This trap might've fooled any other trainer or Pokémon, but definitely not a well trained ninja like Venom. He didn't need to hear his foe to sense it coming. He could sense this wild Pokémon's ill intent a mile away, as his eyes shot back open just seconds before the sneak attack. Then, in the blink of an eye, Venom turned in the direction the wild Mankey had tried to attack him from, and blocked its foot with his bare hand, grabbing onto it in the process. Venom then stared into the pig monkey Pokémon's eyes, and smirked at it, licking his lips. "Not bad, but your trap was very easy to see through. Maybe try working on concealing your aura next time." After giving the Fighting type Pokémon some advice, Venom jumped down from the tree branch, keeping his hold on Mankey, dragging it down with him.

Venom landed safely on his feet, then put the Mankey down on its feet without harming it. The ninja then jumped over to Nidorino's side, who was still in shock and awe over the display of skill his trainer had just displayed before his very eyes. "However, if its a fight you want, we'll be happy to oblige. Nidorino, give Mankey a taste of your skills now! Use a double round of your Peck attack!" At the sound of his trainer's voice, Nidorino shook his head from side to side a few times, snapping out of his shocked state. "Nido! Nido! Nidorino!" Nidorino quickly focused all of his attention of the wild Mankey that now stood before him, and charged at it right away, his sharp horn ready to deal a pair of super effective blows.

Once they were both on the ground the Mankey began to growl and carry on in its embarrassment. It had never encountered a human who was so nimble and surprise had gotten the better of it. Rolling away from Venom Manky hopped back up on its feet to face the Nidorino who presented itself in challenge. The fighting type didn't so much care who it fought just so long as there was the chance to take its frustrations out on somebody!

Unfortunately in this case its ability did not match the challenge presented. Nidorino, being by far the stronger pokemon in the fight, hit its opponent directly in the chest with the first Peck attack. Mankey landed a good, solid karate chop but being far outclassed in levels the blow did little damage. As it stepped back, presumably to maneuver better, the second Peck attack scored another hit. Mankey was stunned, knocked entirely unconscious, before it could even plan a second attack.

With that done Nidorino stood victorious of his enemy. The forest once again settled into an uneasy silence. Any pokemon nearby who had seen that would sure think twice before showing their faces.

[Venominon]

"Nido! Nidorino!" Nidorino was clearly very proud of himself, finally feeling like himself again, after his encounter with that wild Poochyena back when he and Venom first met. But the poison pin Pokémon wanted more, more of a challenge that is, as he turned back to Venom, and asked if they were finally ready to challenge the Azalea Town gym yet. "Nidorino? Rino?" Venom walked over to his friend, listened to his question, then thought about it for a moment before answering. "Your very close now Nidorino, but lets get you one more level before we challenge the gym." Nidorino was a bit disappointed and annoyed by his trainer's answer, but he knew he'd never win an argument against Venom, thinking back to his and Venom's battle against the trainer Anthony and his Machop and Geodude. As such, Nidorino did the only thing he could think of at a time like this.

"Nidorino! Nido!" The Poison type Pokémon charged right into the bushes, trying to force just one more wild Pokémon out of hiding, so he could battle and beat it quickly. Venom watched all of his happen, a bit surprised by Nidorino's eagerness to battle the Azalea gym leader's Pokémon, then quickly ran after him. "Nidorino, wait for me! You cant battle on your own anymore you know!" Catching up to Nidorino was easy for Venom, but Nidorino didn't stop his charge for even a second, as he kept his eyes narrowed, searching for any wild Pokémon in the area. This result made Venom let out a sigh, as he began to wonder if maybe he'd made a mistake. "Oh well. Maybe we'll get lucky and find something rare at least." The ninja said to himself, trying to look on the bright side of things, and also mentally hoping that he and his Pokémon don't end up getting into any trouble while storming through the trees and bushes the way that they were.

[Thirdie]

All that hustle and bustle from Nidorino charging through the bushes certainly got a reaction, but unfortunately the complete opposite of what he wanted. Pokemon scurried away as fast as shadows, disappearing in the greenery, up in trees and down in nesting holes for safety. It was almost like the mere sound of him told the inhabitants that he was too strong for them by far, and they took their precautions. In the end Nidorino stumbled into one of many small clearings and came upon a couple of Pokemon that just wasn't fast enough. It was a purple Nidoran watching over a smaller blue one, and at the sound of the approaching fighter the Nidoran did look for a hiding place. However, determining the kid couldn't move fast enough he sprang in between his kid and the trainer's Pokemon, slowly backing up but keeping a protective stance all the same. Not a word was uttered, but the Nidoran stamped his feet in warning, and the kid made itself small behind him staying utterly still.

Nidorino stopped cold at the sight of the small pair of poisonous Pokémon, taken aback by the sight of them, as all the wind left his sails almost instantly. Venom caught up soon after, wondering what made Nidorino stop so suddenly, but he saw for himself before he could ask his question. Upon seeing this Nidoran pair, the Poison type trainer's eyes filled with sparkles, as he ran right passed his own Pokémon, knelt down in front of the parent and child, and gave them a big smile, clearly very excited. "Wow! Both the male and female forms of Nidoran together! So cool!" Nidorino watches this with some shock, vaguely recalling something like this happening back when he and Venom first met, as he let out a sigh and slowly shook his head from side to side. "Nido. Nido." Venom snapped out of his trance about fifteen seconds after it began, and quickly jumped back, away from the Nidoran pair. "Im so sorry. I hope I didn't scare either of you." The ninja spoke to the two wild Poison type Pokémon, then took a look around, not seeing or sensing any other wild Pokémon in the area.

The more they looked at the parent and child Nidoran, the more Venom and Nidorino lost the will to fight, as Venom turned to Nidorino. "Personally, Id rather not fight these two Nidorino, but we're doing this for you. So Ill let you decide whether we fight them, or continue to look for another opponent instead." Venom had always had a soft spot for Poison type Pokémon, and he had absolutely no desire to have his Pokémon battle and beat the poisonous parent while its child watched. It was the same for Nidorino, as the poison pin Pokémon slowly approached the pair, and gave the father a gentle nudge to his side. "Nidorino. Nido. Nidorino." He told the father to take his child and find a safe place to hide, warning them that he and his trainer would be engaging in another battle soon, and he didn't want either of them to get hurt because of it. Once that was done, Nidorino walked back over to Venom, and his trainer smiled at the choice he just made, very happy about it. "We're sorry to have disturbed you. Farewell, and please stay safe." Venom spoke to the parent and child, bowed to them in an apologetic way, then he and Nidorino turned, walking off through the trees and bushes, leaving the two, and continuing their search for Nidorino's final opponent.

The female nidoran covered when Venom rushed in close and her father feinted an attack to warn him off although it didn't seem to work. The purple nidoran kept watching Venom suspiciously and made sure that he stood between the two strangers and his little daughter.
When Venom apologized the nidoran narrowed his eyes, what were they up to? Didn't all trainers want to beat all wild pokemon down for a bit of training for their own?
He thought his prejudices confirmed when Venom asked Nidorino if he wanted to battle and the nidoran♂ told his daughter to be ready to run. Big was the surprise when Nidorino didn't want to battle and he barely believed his own ears when he was warned to find a safe place as they were indeed looking for a battle, just not with him or his daughter.
Nidoran♂ hesitantly turned to calm his daughter and lead her away, he stopped to blink gratefully back to Nidorino.

Ran! Another voice called out threateningly and Nidoran♂ closed his eyes in defeated annoyance as he clearly recognized it.
Another nidoran♂ came strutting out of the bushes and glared at Nidorino jealously and stomped his feet in the ground.
The father tried to convince the other that there was no danger and that there was no rescue needed, but the newcomer didn't care. Nidorino would be able to recognize this one as it know in the area to wanting to be the strongest and challenged everyone that it might thought to be stronger. Nidrino clearly threatened its place as the strongest and it wouldn't accept that.
It lowered its head and charged at Nidorino.

Venom and Nidorino were both pleased to see the father and daughter accepting their offer to leave and finding a hiding place, as the two smiled and watched the parent and child start to make their escape. Unfortunately, the moment was quickly interrupted by a voice that made Nidorino narrow his eyes, as he knew this voice all too well. When the new Nidoran appeared on the scene, Nidorino glared at him, having crossed paths with him many times in the past. "Nido! Nidorino!" Nidorino answered his challenge, getting ready to battle, but didn't make a move, knowing that he had to wait for his trainer to give the order. This whole situation wasn't very surprising for Venom, as he'd seen wild Pokémon have disputes like this all the time in the past. The ninja quickly put it all together, and got his game face on, same as Nidorino.

"An old rival of yours, huh? Okay then, lets show him how much stronger you've grown Nidorino!" Venom's words of encouragement did well to get Nidorino fired up, as he stomped his feet on the ground, demonstrating his power to his rival. "Nidorino!" After that, Venom made a swift jump into the air, and landed safely next to the parent and child Nidoran's. The Poison type trainer stood in front of them, wanting to make sure that they didn't get caught in the middle of the battle that was about to unfold. "Stay behind me you two, and be sure to run for it when you get the chance." Venom spoke in a gentle tone to the pair of Poison types, then turned back to his Nidorino, as he faced down his opponent. "Fight back with your Peck attack Nidorino! Back to back shots!" After receiving his orders from Venom, Nidorino charged right back at Nidoran, his larger horn ready to do some major damage, and show this poison pin Pokémon who the true king of the forest is. "Nidorino! Nido!"

"Nido nido!" the challenging Nidoran mocked Nidorino when he waited for orders from Venominon. Itself was free and took no orders from anyone! In its eyes it made Nidorino weak and therefore as easy to beat as when they had both been nidorans.
It began to concentrate and rolled its shoulders as it readied itself although Nidorino put an end to it by ramming his horn in its side and sending it scrambling to the ground. The nidoran came staggering to its feet and stared wide eyed at its opponent. Then it snorted and narrowed its eyes while it loosened the muscles in its neck, ready to pay back tenfold!
Nidorino sent it tumbling to the ground but this time it knew what it could expect and used the momentum to roll back up on its feet again. It hurled itself forward and found a soft spot on Nidorino to slam its horn against, it would hurt but less than the nidoran thought. It pranced a bit away from Nidorino with a triumphantly expression, it was panting heavily but it was certain it had done major damage to its opponent.

The father nidoran looked grateful at Venom for his offer of protection but his attention was quickly diverted as something sounded a lot like a cracking egg. He looked around in an attempt to pinpoint where it came from and if Venom hadn't noticed he would do what it could to show him.
When the egg was out where the father could see it, both nidoran crept closer to get a closer look at greet the arrival.
The egg would shake violently and a crack was visible near the top, a steady pounding was heard from the inside. Then a claw crashed through and the hatchling inside became visible. It was laying on its back on the bottom of the egg and had used its tail to pound its way out of the tough shell, it wiggled with its short legs as it had trouble turning from its position and focused its eyes on Venom.

Nidorino glared at the rival Nidoran when he mocked him, not appreciating these insults one bit. Nidorino used to feel the same way as this wild Nidoran did, but after meeting Venom, Nidorino learned something. While it was kind of true that a Pokémon loses its freedom when its captured, it also gains a lot from it as well. Friendship, experience, training that a wild Pokémon could never attain from its homeland alone, and getting to travel all around seeing the world, while battling new and powerful opponents along the way. Nidorino made sure to make all of this very clear to the younger Nidoran after their last exchange of blows. "Nidorino! Nidorino! Nido! Nidorino!" Nidorino said all of this with confidence in his voice, and a confident expression on his face to match.

Nidorino's words made Venom smile at him when he heard them, but his attention was soon divided when he'd heard a cracking sound from inside his bag. Venom knew that it could only be one thing, as he quickly took the object in question out of his bag, and gently placed it down on the ground for himself and the Nidoran parent and child to see. The egg he'd received a while ago had finally hatched, and when Venom got a look at the Pokémon that had emerged from the egg, he got a big smile, as the sparkles returned to his eyes once again. "A Skorupi! Easily one of the best Poison type Pokémon in the whole world!" The ninja got very excited, feeling like the luckiest trainer in the world at this moment. He knew that Skprupi evolved into Drapion, one of the biggest and strongest Poison type Pokémon of them all, as well as one of Venom's personal favorites. He'd seen Koga battle with his Drapion many times in the past, and the thought of getting one of his own got Venom even more excited then he already was.

However, Venom was quick to calm himself down, not wanting to frighten the newly hatched scorpion Pokémon. "Hello there little one. Its such an honor to meet you. My name's Venom, and it looks like we're going to be friends from now on." Venom spoke to Skorupi in a gentle tone, then slowly picked it up out of its egg shell, and slowly placed it down on his legs, helping it to stand up on its own. At first, Skorupi was cautions of Venom, and even gave him a sting with her stinger as he placed her down, but Venom didn't even flinch, and just laughed a little at this. "Oh, your a fighter. That's good, but Im afraid your poison wont work on me." Skorupi withdrew its tail, then looked up at Venom, as he slowly reached down, and began to gently rub the top of its head, which the Poison/Bug type seemed to enjoy. "Skor. Skorupi." As Skorupi calmed down, Venom slowly pulled out an empty Poke Ball from inside his bag, and held it in front of Skorupi. "Come with us Skorupi. Join Team Toxic, and I promise we'll have a lot of fun together, and Ill raise you into the most powerful Drapion the world has ever seen."

Skorupi took a moment to eye the orb in its face, looking rather puzzled, and ended up stinging the button on the front with its stinger. "Skorupi." This resulted in the scorpion Pokémon getting sucked inside the orb, where the shaking stopped pretty quickly, making Venom smile once more. "Welcome to Team Toxic Skorupi. Im sure you'll fit it nicely." With their new addition taken care of, Venom turned his attention back to the battle at hand, seeing that Nidoran likely wouldn't last another round. "Your doing great Nidorino! Now finish it off with one more Peck attack so we can head to the Azalea Town gym!" That sounded like the best idea ever to Nidorino, knowing that the only thing standing between him and the powerful Pokémon waiting to be faced on the Azalea Town gym was this young, disrespectful Nidoran. "Nidorino! Rino!" Nidorino apologized to his opponent for what he was about to do, then immediately charged at him once more, his horn ready to deliver one, final blow.

The Nidoran, that had before intended to challenge the Nidorino for the title of the best in the area, was not in a good position. With low health remaining and feeling drained of energy from his last few attacks, the Nidoran definitely knew this battle was not in going in a good place in the nidoran history books. But did that mean he was going to stop? Oh heavens know! He couldn't let anybody see him back down from a challenge, that would make him look even worse after being about to lose anyways. He was going to have to give it his all that he could, but endure the last painful hits as best as he could. It wasn't like he was going to give himself much of another option, anyways. But an opening appeared! The Nidorino's trainer was distracted by a hatching egg. That might be just what it would need to somehow win the battle! Besides it wasn't like the "pet" of a Pokemon that required orders from some trainer. No, this Nidoran was big and mighty all on its own and didn't take orders from anyone! (Even from the father Nidoran before who advised him not to fight the Nidorino). Clearly, the Nidoran was stongest and more superior because it didn't need help from some human!

"Ni - Nidoran!!!" With its trainer seemingly distracted at the moment, the Nidoran openly charged the Nidorino with everything it could muster, even at its low-health state. That would be just too slow. Well, actually, way way way too slow. The injured Nidoran's speed was far below the level of speed the Nidorino held the rights to. With one more Peck attack, the very strengthy move would finish off the Nidoran and its delusions, leaving it unconscious on the ground. The stubborn young Nidoran hadn't even heard the Nidorino's apology beforehand, all thoughts focused on speed.  It was quite unlikely the Nidoran would've cared however. 

There was no way it would possibly had listened to a weakling of a Nidorino that needed a trainer around.

Seconds after Nidorino's Peck attack finished it off, Venom and Nidorino looked down at the defeated Nidoran, both of them feeling different emotions at this time. Nidorino glared at the young upstart slightly, letting out a grunt in his direction, showing absolutely no sympathy for him at all. "Nido." On the other hand, Venom let out a sigh, actually feeling kind of sorry for the defeated Nidoran. "Dont worry Nidorino. We all find our own paths in life, and this young one's mind is clearly made up. Who knows? Maybe one day he'll become the alpha of this forest, or he'll meet a good trainer of his own. No one can say for now though." The Poison type trainer gave the young Nidoran a smile, before reaching into his bag, pulling out a single Oran berry, and placing it down on the ground, mere inches from Nidoran's head. "A little something to help you get your strength back when you wake up. Id hate to see another Nidoran end up in the same state as mine was when we first met."

After that, Venom and Nidorino turned back to the father and daughter pair of Nidoran's, both trainer and Pokémon smiling at them. "Its was very nice to meet you two. We have to be moving on now. Our work here is done, but we wish you two well." Venom bowed to the parent and child, and Nidorino did the same, following his trainer's example. "Nidorino. Nido. Nidorino." Nidorino told them both to work hard, and get stronger. Strong enough so that no one will ever prey on them or push them around. With that done, Venom and Nidorino faced each other, and Nidorino asked his trainer about the Azalea Town gym once more. "Nidorino?" The ninja responded to his poisonous Pokémon with a smile and a nod, telling Nidorino exactly what he wanted to hear. "Yes Nidorino. Its time. Our next opponent will be the Azalea Town gym leader." Having gotten his answer, Nidorino ran off towards Azalea Town at high speed, very eager to face the gym leader and his Pokémon in battle. Venom laughed at this a bit, then jumped up into the trees, following his friend out of route 33, and into Azalea Town for their long awaited second gym battle challenge.
