Careless lived up to his name and he did not hesitate to face the bird, and he wasted no time and tackled Skadi the moment Amaryllis was done with the healing. The caterpies eyes showned he meant business.

"Hey! You dropped something!" Don called out and pointed at the empty bottle Amaryllis had thrown aside. He would stare determined at her until she picked it up, and if not he would add: "Your mom isn't here to clean up after you!"

Skadi had certainly become strong fast and learned a lot from the few battles she had participated in. She flapped her wings hard and the caterpie clung to the ground the best he had learnt. It was not enough and he was lifted into the air and fell back down hard and was knocked out.

Don was quick to recall Careless as well and he walked over to Amaryllis with a grim expression.
"Here," he said as he shoved a bit of money into her hands.
"Good fight," he added and looked like he found it very hard to say. With that he spun arund and walked briskly away, hands clenched and he broke into a run when he thought he was out of sight of Amaryllis.

[attr="class","woo3"] Once Skadi had gotten stronger from beating Careless the Caterpie, Don gave her the prize money and walked away, but not before saying good fight. "It was a good match too, Don." She replied back with a smile. As Skadi came to perch on her shoulder, the egg inside her bag began to shake. Amaryllis would set the bag down and picked up the pitch black egg, visible cracks were showing as it moved. "Skadi look, it's about to hatch! Isn't it great?" The seagull Pokemon turned away from the egg in an annoyed huff. A yellow beak was visible from the cracked hole it poked out from as the baby Pokemon would come into the world in one piece from the egg.[break][break] Stretching his wings, the newborn Murkrow yawned as he looked over at the girl and her Wingull, tilting his head in a curious sort of way. Before she could inquire what kind of Pokemon it was, the Pokedex chimed in with a description and name of the never before seen bird. "Murkrow, the Darkness Pokemon. Seen as a symbol of bad luck, it's generally disliked. Yet it gives presents—objects that sparkle or shine—to Trainers it's close to." Skadi began to squawk angrily out of jealousy to the baby Murkrow who began to cry and Amaryllis herself scolded her for her rude behavior. "Don't do that! It's just a baby, so let's have you cool down for a while." Before the white seagull Pokemon began to protest, she recalled her Wingull back inside the Pokeball.[break][break] She sighed as she reached over to the Murkrow's head and gave it a nice pat. "You have to excuse her behavior, she can be jealous of Pokemon that approach me or give them the stink eye. It's nice to meet you, Edmond. I hope we get along nicely." The crow Pokemon stopped crying as he hopped on her arm and tried to keep his balance as he moved his feet to her shoulder. She was certain that he would have a hard time battling like a well trained Pokemon, but she was there to guide him as she went on her way across the route's grassy ground.

The pokemon on route 29 knew the sounds of battling and was quick to disappear when they heard them. Egg hatching was something entirely different although a lot of the wild pokemon living here was young and not far from having emerged from eggs themselves.
Rattata was just once of those and it was out exploring on its own for the first time. It had hidden as it had been taught by its parents when it heard the earlier battle but the sounds afterwards made it curious and it had sneaked forward and had peeked through the leaves in a bush to see what was going on.
It quickly lost interest in the birds and the human when it noticed something shining close by really interesting. It had never seen anything like that before! It was the bottle Amaryllis had discarded during the battle and although the rattata had no idea what it was, it wanted it!

It sneaked forward with no cover and the moment it was discovered it clacked its teeth threateningly, it wanted that thing no matter the cost. Its siblings would love to see it.
