Don's red face was completely forgotten until Shinya's cut through his excitement over seeing Wurmple. It took him a few moments to grasp what it was Shinya has said but then his face twisted in anger. "I don't wet myself!" He shouted his protest furiously, "I maybe a kid! But I'm not that little!"He calmed down a bit after his first outburst but the anger seemed to have given him a bit of courage, or perhaps the adrenaline just made him forget how scary Shinya was. "I do what I can, okay?! I'm not a trainer and I don't have all day to walk around and look for pokemon, I have school and chores and all that stuff you don't!" He said stubbornly and frowned as he saw Wurmple's reaction. "That's harsh! Why aren't you more nice? Wurmple's can do a lot of good!" He tried to defend the purple worm. He looked a bit hesitant before he added slowly, "if you don't want it but I do, why not let me get it?"He doubted Shinya wanted to give it away from free, but he didn't have much to give and he had a child's courage when it came to asking for things you probably would get denied. Who knows, you might get lucky. Apple looked coldly at Shinya. "Cater-caterpie," he said as he told Wurmple Shinya was not worthy of her. "Piepie," he added with a shaking head, that he human was stupid for saying he trained only one type and still talked down on her, instead of getting out her true potential. Shinya had a lot to learn. "Apple hurry! Tackle!" Don shouted his orders as Shinya sent Wurmple forward. Shinya's treatment of Wurmple hadn't helped motivate her much and the mental state affected the physical a lot, while there was little difference to see when the two caterpillars bumped into each other, Apple had had he upper hand this round. "Caterpie, cater caterpie," He whispered to Wurmple while they were close, and told her she shouldn't let Shinya get to her, that she should will herself to growth despite of him and his treatment. Pie ca-caterpie, he then said with a wink, telling her that Don was still trying to learn about Apple's full potential, which of course was to eat apples and not battle. He hoped it would help cheer Wurmple up a bit and get her through the tough situation she was in. The second Shinya saw the look on Don's face, all red and angry, and the words that came along with that expression, the elder trainer burst out into laughter, unable to contain it. "Ahahahahahahah! What the heck is that that face?! Maybe I should start calling you Apple! Ahahahahahah!" However, Shinya's laughter quickly died down, as he heard Don yell at him once again, losing his grin once more. Shinya looked at the younger trainer with annoyance, then kicked some dirt in his direction to silence him. "Arceus. For such a little kid, ya sure run your mouth a lot. Ya think you got it rough kid? You don't know what rough is! I cant begin to count how many times life has chewed me up, spit me out, and chewed me up again! Up to now, my life has been as foul as life can be, and my irritation has reached its limit more times then I care to count! All because of my stupid parents!"
Shinya shot Don an equally angry glare right back, as the child forced him to remember his parents, and how they ended up leaving him when he was still so young. "Sure! I was taken in by a new family after that, and things were pretty sweet, despite my entire home region going against us and every little thing we ever did! That bad enough for ya kid?! No?! Well then how about this?! My new family is gone too! All of em! Big bro! Big sis! All of em! So ya know what?! Your right! I am harsh, but that's life! Nothin ya can do about it! One day you'll learn that the hard way!" The Team Skull grunt finally stopped yelling after that, taking a few moments to catch his breath before answering Don's next question. "Ya want my Wurmple? Fine then. Surskit. Anorith. Dwebble. Joltik. Shelmet. Larvesta. Wimpod. Bring me one of those Pokémon, and you've got yourself a deal." Shinya smirked at the child, knowing for a fact that hardly anyone in the world had any of those Pokémon just casually laying around, ready to offer up for a trade, especially for something like a Wurmple, but Shinya was definitely not the type of person who'd just give away anything for free, and he doubted this kid had anything else he wanted at all.
While the two Bug type trainer's conversed, Wurmple listened to what Apple had to say to her, sniffling the whole time, as his words did make her feel a little better. "Wurmple. Wurmple. Wurm. Wurmple." She told the other worm Pokémon that she was grateful for his concern, and that he was very kind, but like all Pokémon, she couldn't just up and leave her trainer without his permission. When the two Bug type Pokémon collided, Wurmple listened to Apple's voice again, and his words, combined with his wink made her blush slightly, as she felt her heart race for a moment. Wurmple found herself at a loss for words, feeling so conflicted inside, but her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of her trainer's voice once again. "Enough spacin out Wurmple! Use Tackle again, and put your back into it this time!" Shinya was well aware that Wurmple's didn't have any bones, but she knew that wasn't what he meant. "Wurmple. Wurmple...Wurmple!" The small Bug type Pokémon thanked Apple for his kind words of encouragement, as she crawled towards him yet again, with much more power and confidence fueling her charge this time around.

Shinya's laughter did not do any good for Don's mood, he hated when adults didn't take him seriously. He seemed to remember that Shinya actually was scary when he went serious and told how hard his life had been. "I didn't say my life was tough, just that I don't have much time to hunt down wurmple," he mumbled while squirming, he wondered if he should apologize but he was unsure of what to apologize for and if he had even done anything wrong. He looked at Shinya and decided he would probably just laugh at such anyway, he didn't look like one who cared for apologies. Don listened curiously as Shinya opened up a tiny bit and told about his very tough upbringing, Don suddenly felt very lucky with his own parents and the many friends he had. At the moment he was grateful but he was young so he was probably going to forget that again as he grew and be an ungrateful teenager when time came. At the present Don had no idea of how to react to what Shinya had told him, usually he would try saying he was sorry and encourage them or something, but he doubted Shinya wanted that, nor was it a thing Don felt like doing, so what else to do? He forgot it and gaped in shock when Shinya made his demands for wurmple. "All of them?" He exclaimed and ran a hand through his hair as he looked troubled on Wurmple. He hadn't really expected Shinya wanting to even give an option, but to make it such high was baffling. "Why? If you don't want Wurmple why make it so hard to sell her?" Don asked confused. Apple looked surprised at Wurmple said she couldn't just leave. "Pie, piiie," He said as he told her he knew that, that was the curse of being a trainer's pokemon, you were stuck with what you got. He wasn't sure what had made her thought he suggested that. He smiled though when she looked more confident, he was certain she would need that if she should bear living under her trainer. He sighed as Don also ordered him to tackle and thought wistfully of laying under the shade of a tree while nipping at an apple. He stretched up high and more or less fell down on top of Wurmple when she came to tackle him, and was pushed a bit backwards from the force of her attack. Neither of the bugs were very strong but they were very close to each other and it would be hard to tall who'd win in the end. Shinya just stood there quietly, with a very displeased look on his face, waiting to see how Don would react to Shinya's brief but detailed life story. As he waited, Shinya took a few deep breaths, doing his best to calm himself down, almost not believing that he just said all of that out loud. Why did he just waste his breath telling all of that deeply personal stuff to a child? The Team Skull grunt let out a big sigh, mentally punching himself for letting his emotions get the better of him on that one. Shinya wasn't looking for sympathy, pity, an apology, or anything like that. He didn't need or want any of that from anyone, especially not some kid he'd only just met. There was no way someone like Don could ever understand what Shinya had gone through in his life. Shinya could figure that out just by looking at the younger Bug type trainer.
So far, this one battle had given Shinya far more to think about then he cared for, and still so early on in his journey at that. And just like the several times that it had happened before, the sound of Don's voice had snapped Shinya out of his short internal struggle. The trainer from Alola could only laugh some more when he heard Don's question, though not nearly as much as before. "No. Of course not all of them. Im not that unreasonable kid. That was just a list of Pokémon Ive got my eye on. Any one of them would do. Just one." Shinya said to the younger trainer, holding up his pointer finger, before letting out a few more small chuckles. "Not that it matters. There's no way a kid like you would have any of those Bug type Pokémon on hand to begin with. Honestly, Im surprised you managed to capture the two you've got now."
Shinya just couldn't resist mocking the younger trainer once more, before answering his second question. "Because that's just how I do business kid. Would you ask for something that you didn't want and then accept it when someone offered it to you? Those Pokémon I just named off to you are the only ones in this world that I want, and their the only Pokémon Ill accept as trade material. I could always use some specific rare items, but I doubt you've got any of those either. My prices might be high, but if no one can pay, then Ill just keep Wurmple for myself, and go find those Pokémon I want myself instead. Its as simple as that." Of course, Shinya knew very well that some of those Bug type Pokémon weren't native to Johto, so he'd never be able to find them himself, but that was beside the point that Shinya was trying to make.
While her trainer was busy answering questions, Wurmple took the opportunity to speak with Apple some more, really starting to like him. "Wurmple. Wurm. Wurmple." Wurmple tells Apple that she really does like him, and that she'd love to have a kind and gentle trainer like Don appears to be, but she's just too scared to even ask Shinya to let her go. Clearly, Shinya's intimidation had worked on her, and very well from the sound of it. "This is seriously getting old. I cant wait until Im strong enough to finish off trainers like you in one move, but for now, this will have to do. Wurmple, use your Tackle again!" Shinya's next order came through loud and clear, and Wurmple backed off from Apple a bit, getting herself ready to strike at him yet again. "Wurm! Wurmple!" It was almost like her sadness from early had never happened, as Wurmple crawled back towards Apple as fast as she could, but the source of her strength wasn't her trainer. Rather, it was her opponent and fellow worm Pokémon, Apple.

Don flinched a bit when Shinya laughed once more, feeling uncomfortable about being ridiculed so many times in a row. A small smile appeared when the older trainer reassured he just wanted one of the pokemon, and he nodded determined and turned his gaze to Wurmple. Don's eyes snapped back when Shinya spoke and his face fell when he was told he had no chance of fulfilling his part of the deal. Little did he know that he probably rather would want to keep the pokemon Shinya was asking for, should he ever get his hands on them, rather than trading them away for a wurmple. But he was young and to him wurmple was his goal and the best in the world, it looked a lot like the ones he had but had been hard to get and even had more than one evolution! To him it was top notch and a great goal to get to play with. Don looked confused as Shinya tried to explain his demands, he nodded slowly as not wanting to trade something off for something you didn't want instead made sense. "But, what if they don't want Wurmple instead?" He asked uncertain. He knew that while he was hooked on the idea of getting the pokemon, others didn't thought much of the worms, what would Shinya do if he couldn't sell the pokemon he did not want? After a while and more thinking, Don's expression once more turned determined. "I'm going to try! Please don't forget me!" He told Shinya and looked at Wurmple. "Don't worry! I'll do what I can so you can join me a play all day!" He called out encouragingly to the pink worm, as he returned to the part he knew about. There was another thing he was dying to be able to tell someone who didn't know, and he looked almost shy before he began rambling. "I befriended Apple and he helped me battle Sting! It was really close but then I saw that Sting had gotten tired and I took really good aim, and I threw the pokeball really hard and then I caught him!" Don told excitedly, sounding really proud. "Do you want to hear in detail?" Don asked and began before Shinya got time to answer, "I and Apple was playing in the yard and then I saw something yellow in a bush..."Apple smiled warmly to Wurmple, happy his cheering up had worked. Hopefully she would be able to keep it up when they parted ways, she was in for a rough time it seemed. Don didn't have time to give any orders as he was still trying to tell the thrilling story of his first capture, but Apple could handle things on his own. It wasn't like he had many options, he could either Tackle or try slow down Wurmple but as he was already a tiny bit faster that would just be stupid. He crawled forward and knocked his fellow worm on the side of her head, as she threw herself at him pushing him back a bit. "Caterpie, catercat," Apple said as he told that Don was an alright trainer, although the focus was more to play being the greatest trainer and win it all, than actual training. "Caterpie!" He said reassuringly as he told her he was sure it was all going to end well in the end. Shinya listened to Don's question, and was quick to give an answer, his grin remaining strong the entire time. "Another question with a simple answer. If they don't want it, that's fine. Ill just keep her for myself, continue to train her, then stick her in my PC box when I finally find one of the Bug type Pokémon that I actually want to replace her. I doubt anyone would trade one of those Bug types I just listed off to ya for a Wurmple, or even a Beautifly or Dustox, but here's a little tip for ya kid. Even when a situation seems hopeless, ya gotta stay strong, hold your ground, and never give in. That's true for a lot of things. Trading, battling, and just life in general. Remember that, and maybe you'll be as tough as me one day." Shinya couldn't help chuckling a bit more after he'd finished speaking, finding that last part very hard to believe, even coming from his mouth.
Still, the Team Skull grunt figured that Don had earned himself a little advice for lasting this long against his constant abuse. Shinya also figured that no one would ever even think about taking advice from a member of Team Skull, and that Don's mother would likely tell him to forget it and stay away from Shinya from that point onward. However, the thought of Don running back home to his mother, telling her that he met a Team Skull grunt, and got some advice from him, then having her freak out over her child's mental and physical well being was more then enough to make Shinya chuckle some more. Shinya was a bad influence. He knew this, and he liked it. The older Bug type trainer then stopped laughing, and lost his grin when Don asked him his second question, which was quickly followed by a very unwanted explanation.
Shinya listened in annoyance, waiting for the younger trainer to finish, and when he finally did, Shinya gave his response. "I didn't ask for your life story kid, and I don't care." After shutting the younger trainer up once more, Shinya turned his attention to his Wurmple, who was looking more then a bit worse for wear. Sighing at this, Shinya reached into his bag, pulled out another of his potions, and proceeded to use it on Wurmple, recovering some of her lost health. "Second verse, same as the first. Now don't make me waste another potion Wurmple! Use Tackle again!" Stepping away from his Pokémon, Shinya gave his next order, which Wurmple was quick to carry out, feeling much better and full of energy after receiving that potion from her trainer. "Wurmple! Wurm! Wurmple!" Putting that energy to good use, Wurmple started her next crawl towards Apple, hoping that this next blow would be the last one.

Don didn't look happy with Shinya's plans for Wurmple but there was little he could do about it at the moment. For now it only strengthened his resolve to try get his hands on one of the wished pokemon so that he could save the little pink bug from her current trainer. Had he been older and thought things through he might have considered, if it was worth to save one pokemon from Shinya if it meant he sentenced another one to live with him in her place. But he didn't, Don only knew he wanted to try get Wurmple. It would take quite some time for Don to finish his very long and very detailed explanation of how he captured Sting, which was boring to say the least. Don was thrilled he got a chance to tell and to someone who even listened! Usually the adults or his friends interrupted him and changed the subject. "Do you want to hear about how I befriended Apple too?" He asked eagerly and opened his mouth to start when Shinya interrupted him. Don flinched when Shinya told him he didn't care, but he had listened to it all? Don looked uncertain as Shinya called Wurmple to him and used a potion, he had a hard time to understand Shinya and his behavior. It was so different from what he was used to but at least he was a bit less scary at the moment. "Apple, String Shot! Slow her down so it is easier for you to dodge, and then Tackle!" Don ordered and did his best to sound like a confident trainer. Apple knew it would be over soon, his young trainer didn't have anything like potions, only pretend ones which Apple had quickly learned to refuse to drink any of. He was going to give Wurmple a chance to show of and be seen as useful to her trainer, just a little bit since it might make her life a bit easier. She was easy to hit with the sticky thread as she crawled towards him and Don's idea might even work as Apple did manage to dodge out of the way and then ram into her side. Wurmple staggered a bit but the potion had did its job and it wouldn't bother her much. "Caterprriie," Apple said as he pointed out that Shinya had found her important enough to use a potion on. Then she retaliated and send him collapsing in the dust where he lay still. "No! Apple! Get back op, come one! I know you can do this, I believe in you!" Don began to ramble frantically as he for the moment had forgotten that he had mostly called out the pokemon as a shield. Don looked crestfallen but then Apple stirred and rolled to his belly. He grinned at Wurmple and Shinya, he was not quite ready to give up yet. As soon as Don asked Shinya is he would like to hear the story of how he met Apple, Shinya quickly answered that question with a question of his own. "Sounds like another boring story kid. Ive got an interesting story for ya. Its the story of how I got this scar on my face. What do ya think? Interested?" Shinya pointed at the scar that extended across his face, looking at the younger Bug type trainer with his usual threatening grin, remembering that day like it was yesterday. Admittedly, it wasn't a day that Shinya liked to remember, but no matter how hard he tried, he knew he'd never be able to forget it. However, Shinya knew that he probably wouldn't have enough time to tell that story, able to tell from the current state of the other trainer's Pokémon, that this battle would be over very soon. Wurmple was very happy about this, knowing that she'd win her first battle, and be able to prove herself to Shinya, but at the same time, the small Bug type Pokémon felt a little empty inside.
This feeling came to her when she looked at Apple, as she watched him struggle to get back up for one more round. "Wurmple. Wurmple. Wurm. Wurmple." She told him that she didn't enjoy doing this to him at all, and that she was sorry, but she also told him that she was grateful to Apple for his help, and that she'd never forget him or what he did for her today. Wurmple really hoped that she'd get to see Apple again one day, preferably after their both fully evolved, so they could fly through the sky together. "Time to end this. Thanks for toughenin up my team kid. Wurmple, give it one final Tackle attack! Do it now!" With sun shinning brightly overhead, Wurmple mustered her courage and her strength just one more time, then she crawled as fast as she could towards Apple, wishing that it didn't have to end this way. "Wurmple!" With some tears in her eyes, Wurmple continued to crawl towards Apple, using the stamina she'd regained from her master's potion.

Don shied away from Shinya when he pointed out the scar, Don wasn't sure if he dared to hear such story even though there would be plenty of time if Shinya really wanted. The teen would have no problem holding Don back by force, either by himself or with the help of his pokemon if he really wished. Don would have loved to hear the story had it been told by anyone else than Shinya, the last remaining member of team skull could probably tell it in a way wildly inappropriate for a child of Don's age, and give him nightmares for weeks to come. Don was saved from making a decision by the end of the battle. Apple was swaying a bit as he did his best to stay conscious, mostly for Wurmple and Don's sake, he wanted nothing more than to curl up right now, and get swallowed by the peaceful darkness. He knew he would wake up feeling much better and would be pampered for a few days by Don, who'd feel guilty about them losing once again. The caterpie smiled sadly to Wumrple and told her that battles could be fun, if done correctly, which Shinya sadly didn't look like he knew about. As Wurmple rushed forward the caterpie straightened and readied for the last round. "Prrie," he said as he told her she would grow strong from this and she shouldn't feel sad for him, he was well taken care off. As she got near he threw himself forward and slammed his little body down on top of her, knocking the air out of whatever organ she breathed with. She was at full speed and Apple was exhausted, and nothing more was needed to send him tumbling off her and over the ground. This time he didn't get back up no matter how much Don pleaded. Don was crestfallen when he finally recalled his first pokemon picked a bit of crumbled money from his pocket. This was what most of his little pocket money was used to, pay the trainers who won against him in battles. Then he seemed to remember who Shinya was, or rather how scary he could be, and he looked like a deerling caught in the light of a Fire Blast. He definitely didn't dare to walk closer, especially not unarmed with his pokemon knocked out. "I.. I'll just put those h-here," he stammered and laid the bills on the ground, and slowly began to back away. Th-thanks for the b-battle, you have really str-strong po-pokemon, he added and would bolt at any sudden movement Shinya made. Wurmple won her first battle and grows +3 levels to lvl 6! She learns Poison StingDon is ready to bolt and get out of the scary situation, but he has decency enough to leave £150 for Venom.

When Apple finally hit the dirt, Shinya grinned, looking very pleased. Wurmple took several deep breaths, looking down at Apple, feeling bad about what she'd done to him. But this feeling was dulled a bit, as Wurmple suddenly felt a rush of power throughout her entire small body. "Wurmple?" Shinya pulled out Wurmple's poke ball, and held it out to her before giving her an explanation. "You just got stronger Wurmple. Enjoy it, but don't get too carried away. We're just getting started. Return for now." The Team Skull grunt called the worm Pokémon back to its spherical container, then put it away for later, turning his attention back to Don. Shinya watched at Don recalled his own Pokémon, then pulled out Shinya's winnings with shaky hands, placing it down on the ground rather then handing it to the other trainer himself.
This made Shinya grin once more, as he decided to have a little more fun with the younger trainer before he ran off in fear. "Thanks for toughenin up my team kid, and for this cash, but don't forget our deal. I expect you to spread the word of Team Skull's return as far and wide as you can. Make sure everyone you tell passes the word on to someone else, and so on. Also, work on toughening yourself up kid. Then one day, if ya ever manage to get any better, come find me. I'm always game for another battle. The question is...are you?" Shinya asked the younger trainer, walking over, picking up the cash, and putting it away in his pocket for later use. "Oh, and by the way, in case you were wondering how I got this scar, it would take way too long to explain, but Ill offer you a piece of advice. Not all Pokémon are as kind as they appear to be."
When he spoke those words, Shinya's grin disappeared, as the Bug type trainer started to look angry, thinking back to the day he got his scar, as well as the Pokémon that gave it to him. "One day, Ill find that Pokémon again, and it will pay the price." Shinya spoke in an enraged tone, his fist clenched tightly. Shinya managed to calm himself down about thirty seconds later, then started looking around for another wild Pokémon or trainer to battle right away. His battle against Don may be over, but Shinya knew that his Pokémon still had a long way to go before they were ready to leave route 29 and move onto Cherrygrove City. "Lets try to get in a few more battles before we lose the daylight." Shinya said to himself, then headed into the trees around route 29, searching for his next victim or victims.

Don slowly backed away and nodded vigorously when Shinya reminded him of their "deal". He had planned on going straight home and tell his parents about this frightening man he had met in the forest and expected them to handle it so he could continue to to play his games in the forest. This had not been a meeting he had hoped for, and no matter how much he loved bug types, he wasn't sure if it had been worth it seeing Shinya's cool ones. He was about to run off when Shinya called out to him and he paused to listen. He swallowed nervously when he got hinted the story of what had happened to the adult trainer, this was much worse than actually hearing it as his imagination could run wild with all kind of scenarios. Don had often been told how dangerous pokemon could be, but one thing was to hear warnings and another was to get the result presented straight to you. The leaves rustled as Don ran in between the bushes and disappeared out of sight, and soon the sounds of him disappeared as well. As the sun continued its travel over the sky, Shinya continued his trek through the forest. It was quiet, and not in the peaceful way but more like it was holding its breath everywhere he came. Sometimes he would see a shadow in the corner of his eyes, or hear some leaves rustle but whatever made it was gone before he got a chance to figure out what it was. That was the downside of being feared, no one dared to face you. Shinya reached a rather big field with small hills full of tough brown grass, it was good he didn't have a charmander any longer as a fire here could easily have ended with a disaster. Something moved in the grass and a familiar figure raised itself on its tail and looked around scouting. At first it didn't spot Shinya and it dived down again only to raise itself shortly after. This time it noticed Shinya and it froze as it watched him, then it recognized him and dived into the grass once more. A trail clearly showed it ran towards him. The sentret rose to its tail a few meters from Shinya and glared at him, the scratches from Charmander's claws were visible on its body still, and its growling belly told it was still hungry. It looked different though, it seemed bigger though and full of energy, perhaps it was still hungry because it had spent its time doing something else than searching for food? "Sentret!" It demanded a rematch and that Shinya gave it the food it thought he owned it from his treatment of it earlier that day. A familiar face, but much stronger [lvl 8] appears and want a rematch and food! aMWakGV61-421-42

The more Shinya walked through the wilderness of route 29, the more he came to realize the downside of being feared. The Bug type trainer let out a sigh, starting to get bored, but he didn't mind it too much. This is what he wanted, and it would take a lot more then boredom to make him regret his lifestyle choices. However, all this time to himself did make him think about his past, and one memory in particular continued to stick in his mind. It was the day he had his confrontation with the Pokémon that had given him his scar, and the memories of that day made him angry. Shinya stopped walking for a moment, grit his teeth, then punched a nearby tree to help realize some of his frustrations.
"What the hell do you know anyway?" Shinya started talking to himself, like he was asking the Pokémon that scarred him this question, even though he knew the Pokémon in question was many miles away, back in his home of Alola. After his little episode, Shinya continued onward, eventually coming to the open field, taking a quick look around before stepping into it. He might not have seen any Pokémon at first, but he definitely heard some Pokémon stalking him nearby. The Team Skull grunt displayed no fear, walking into the tall grass with his guard down, almost daring the wild Pokémon to show itself. Shinya might not have been familiar with the Johto region, but he knew that the wild Pokémon on and around route 29 were nothing to be afraid of.
When the wild Sentret finally revealed itself to him, Shinya came to a stop, turning to the scout Pokémon, and waited to it to stop shouting at him before responding. "Do I know you?" Was the only thing Shinya had to say to the wild Pokémon, as he genuinely didn't remember this Sentret at all. Shinya never bothered remembering names or faces of the people or Pokémon he'd defeated in the past, even if this particular battle took place early today. "No matter. If you want a fight, you've come to right place. Go get it Pinsir!" Shinya grabbed Pinsir's poke ball, and tossed it into the air, sending the stag beetle Pokémon out into battle. "Pin. Pinsir. Pinsir." Pinsir told the wild Sentret that he would enjoy tearing it apart, as he glared at the Normal type over the tall grass. "I don't know what this Pokémon's problem is, but use your Feint Attack and shut it up Pinsir! Now!" Having been given his orders, Pinsir slowly faded away, disappearing into the tall grass, planning to strike when he saw the chance.
OOC: 460 words for my Yanma egg in this post. Also, Venom's thread hasn't been updated in a long time. I hope no one minds my asking, but what's happening with that?

The sentret was taken aback when Shinya asked if he knew it, and a lot of feelings were shown on its face before it got them under control and looked determined at him. It show him this time! It knew it had grown a lot and the hunger only fueled its feeling of wanting revenge. A shiver ran through the sentret as Pinsir appeared and threatened to tear it in half, it eyed the intimidating pincers and for a brief moment looked like a typical timid sentret who was about to run away. Then it's eyes turned hard and it sent the bug type a look of steel "Sen-sentret," it retorted, dared Pinsir to try as it didn't look like it could tear anything, only squeeze it gently. Sentret stayed on its tail and looked around as it tried to spot Pinsir in the tall grass, its ears turned this way and that was it scouted and did all it could to locate its opponent. It was to no avail and Pinsir slapped it in the back and sent it rolling into the grass. It curled up in the expectations of more attacks, but as none come it slowly unrolled and looked around to see where it was and spot Pinsir once more. As for why I chose to skip Venom a turn, that was because my head wasn't up for the thread and the spell-caster that day, and I expected you rather wanted an update than none at all ^^ If you are unable to mod, showing appreciating in other ways, like modding game corner, mod points or such, will greatly help boost motivation )

No matter how hard he tried, which wasn't much, Shinya just couldn't remember the scout Pokémon before him. It definitely seemed like they'd crossed paths before, but Shinya just couldn't call that time to mind. The Team Skull grunt knew one thing for sure, since this was the case. If he couldn't recall a person or Pokémon to mind, that meant that they left little to no impression on Shinya at all, so he didn't bother remembering them. It was as simple as that. "I don't know what your problem is, shrimp, but Ill tell ya this much. You'll make a nice little experience snack for Pinsir here." Shinya said to the wild Sentret with a devilish grin spread across his face, his tone a very threatening one as well.
After hearing the retort from Sentret, Pinsir narrowed his gaze into a glare, pointing it directly at the wild Normal type Pokémon. "Pinsir. Pin. Pinsir." The stag beetle Pokémon spoke in a threatening tone of his own, flexing the claws on top of his head a few times to demonstrate his power to the wild Pokémon. "Actions speak louder then words Pinsir. Use Feint Attack again, and show this sorry excuse for a Pokémon what you've got!" Shinya noticed the little skirmish between the two Pokémon, and it made him grin again, as the Bug type trainer found it to be mildly entertaining. "Pinsir. Pinsir." Pinsir heeded his trainer's words, and disappeared into the tall grass once more, planning on making his next attack even more damaging then the last.
OOC: Yeah, I knew all of that. I just wanted to know why Venom got passed over, so thanks. Ill keep all of that in mind. Hopefully things improve soon. And 267 more words for my Yanma egg here.

Venom's comment did upset the sentret, how could he have forgotten it already? It had only been a few hours ago at maximum! It glared at him, this time! This time for sure! It would make certain that he would remember it and give it the food he had refused to give last time, he had even eaten it right in front of it! Such things was not going to go unpunished. Sentret gulped when Pinsir moved his pincers but managed to bark out a laugh. "Sentret!" it called to him and asked if he really saw that as scary, it looked like tiny thorns to it. It had learned to be careful though and it was fast up on its tail again and ignored all taunts and grins from Shinya to focus on where Pinsir was hiding. It was not going to be taken by surprise again and scouting was its strong side. Pinsir's plan didn't quite go as planned, while the sentret had little idea of where he was while he was hiding, it quickly spotted him when he made his move and its defensive maneuver made it able to dodge partly out of the way so he ended up doing less damage than the round before. Sentret leaped in and let its small claws run down Pinsir's armored side, he was well protected but could still feel it. Sentret raced away to once again raise up on its tail to keep a good eye on Pinsir and his doings.
