Aglaia listened with a frown and look back at the meowths, now the girl pointed it out she could see that one of the meowths was different from the others, although with the dust swirling around she had just expected it to be dusty and dirty. If it had a collar it could explain what it was doing here, since it definitely wasn't the version normally seen in this region. While Aglaia didn't have had a lot to do with pokemon before she started her journey, she certainly had seen meowths running around in the streets. "I'll get your money back, and we better get hold of that meowth and see if we can get it back where it belongs then," Aglaia said reassuringly and turned her back to the wind. "Saury!" She shouted and he flinched, she noticed he was right beside her a heartbeat later. "Oh, there you are, good," She said surprised and then pointed at the meowths, "I need you over there and ready to grab the grey meowth. We need to check it is has a collar and find out if it is lost," Aglaia told him and he nodded and trotted off to join the others. Aglaia called out to the other pokemon. "Thyra, focus on the grey one, try get it down, Tondra, Thunder Wave on the cream colored one that is still standing," ordered, while the grey one probably was owned by someone, she might still be able to try catch one of the others, now she had promised to try find it for Mr. Schmidt. Then Aglaia turned back to the girl, she was a bit bothered by the suggestion of getting a reward for getting it home. "Don't you think the best is to just get it home safely? Then it is free from the tough life on the street, and it won't make any more troubles like it has done to you," she argued to the girl, "what would you do if I only wanted to help you get your money back if you gave me a reward afterwards?" she added and felt pretty clever for that. Now the girl certainly would understand. Wystan noticed that Saury came over to join them and greeted him with a nod. He then dived and lifted the unconscious meowth gently off the ground to carry it out of harms way, he didn't want it to be caught in the middle of it all when it was defenseless. Tondra stopped abruptly and tried to dodge the faked left swing, only to get hit by the right paw instead, and stooded shocked a moment as she tried to figure out what had happened. She had lost her chance of attack but it wasn't a thing she thought much about. At Aglaia's call she whipped around and galloped close to the beige meowth and circled it a few times while sending out weak waves of electricity. She kept a close eye on it and kept moving to avoid getting taken by surprise once again. Thyra blew herself up and glared at the meowths, she didn't care much for the weak scratching but she took the trick used on Tondra personally, these cats where not fighting fair! "Audinooo!" she called out a warcry and waddled at the alolan meowth with waving hands, she made her intent clear, she wanted to slap them into the face of the grey cat and let it pay for trying to trick them. It's collar laid forgotten on the ground but it would probably come in handy when the battle was over and it was time to figure out where this Meowth came from. Wordcount: 613 (Saury switches in instead of Wystan, Tondra uses Thunder Wave on the remaining kanto meowth, while Thyra uses Pound on the Alolan Meowth. Technically Thyra used Helping hand on Wystan, not Tondra last round, but since it was just to make sure the first meowth got knocked out, it changes nothing )

The little girl was quite thankful that Aglaia had been helping her as she had no way of getting back her coins by herself. What she hadn't expected however was the life lesson Aglaia tried to teach her about expecting an award just for helping. It took her a little while to ponder over it as she felt like the owner of the Alolan Meowth owed her for all the trouble it had caused but as Aglaia was now helping her for free she saw the point and could not deny that she had maybe been a bit too greedy in her initial plan. " Yeah that is true, I guess getting it home where it belongs is for the best. Maybe it won't cause any more trouble if we find it's home."As Wystan carried the unconscious Meowth to safety and Saury replaced him in the battle Tondra set out for a bit of revenge as he fired off a Thunder Wave on the last remaining Kantoian Meowth however just like the Alolan Meowth this feline had a trick or two up its sleeve as it jumped out of the way at the last second to avoid the incoming jolt of electricity. Right after the missed Thunder Wave the ALolan Meowth ran towards Thyra and unleashed a weak Scratch attack on the rather disgruntled Pokemon. The Kantoian Meowth soon followed suit with a Scratch of it's own but again the attack did very little damage. Thyra finally made a move of her own as she approached the Alolan Meowth and smacked it across the face with a powerful Pound. The strike left a giant red mark on the feline's face as it stood shocked by the attack. " Oh wow that looked like it hurt, as mad as I am at that Meowth that seemed like it was a bit extreme as far as payback goes." The young girl said as another round ended. The damage of this round was not quite through however as the Sandstorm sapped the health of all 5 Pokemon still in the battle with no sign that it would be ending anytime soon. Weather: SandstormMeowth | LV 8 | HP: 77% (20/26) Status: Normal Used Scratch on Thyra! Alolan Meowth ♀ | LV 10 | HP: 39% (12/31) Status: Normal Used Scratch on Thyra! Sandstorm caused 4 damage to Alolan Meowth, 3 damage to Meowth, 11 damage to Saury, 6 damage to Thyra, and 6 damage to Tondra. OOC: Shoot I feel like such a dodo bird mixing up the names there. I am glad things still worked out the way you had hoped.

Aglaia was relieved that the girl understood and agreed with her although she sounded a bit reluctant. Of course it would be nice to get a reward every time you helped someone, but on the other hand, it would be horrible if you only could get help if you had something to give as reward, what if you didn't have that? She didn't get to say much else to the girl for the moment as she was busy ordering her pokemon and trying to both capture a kantonian meowth to Mr. Schmidt and get hold of the grey meowth to see if it had gotten lost. She mostly feared that they would run off and a little part of her worried that the cats would try to run off.
It didn't go as well as she could wish. Saury had at least moved to a good position and had his focus on the alolan meowth he should keep from escaping, and Thyra looked to be doing alright even though the cats ganged up on her. Tondra unfortunately missed with her thunderwave, which surprised Aglaia quite a bit as she had never seen that happen before. The meowth was certainly quick on its feet with how it had managed to dodge and targeted Thyra, even though Tondra had attempted to trap it by circling it. "Saury, try get hold of the grey meowth, Thyra help him, and Tondra you try the Thunder Wave again," Aglaia called out to her pokemon.
Thyra glared at the two cats and then exhaled to relax and opened a pair of huge eyes that welled with tears which she focused on the kantonian meowth. This one had decided to backstab her while she had focused on the other and if she could distract it for Tondra to do her thing she would be pleased, then it could try how it was to be treated like that!
Saury trotted forward quickly planning to place himself on top of the alolan meowth, he was aware that it probably would end up rather forcefully and uncomfortable for the cat, but he had few options when it came to keep others in one place. Tondra snorted surprised when the meowth dodge her electricity but she galloped after it and tried again when it was in a safe distance from Thyra. She found it rather funny, it was nice when there was a challenge in the battle, some action! Otherwise life got too boring and peaceful. Wystan laid the unconscious meowth up against a wall and would keep an eye on it to be sure nothing else came and bothered it while it was defenseless.
As the pokemon moved to do their thing, Aglaia could focus on the girl again. "I don't think I got what your name was?" She asked and added quickly, "my name is Aglaia." She wondered what else she could say, but at the moment she did not really have any ideas of what it could be.
Wordcount: 500 (ooc: Saury uses Tackle on Alolan meowth, Thyra uses Baby-doll eyes on the kantonian one, and Tondra attempts another Thunder Wave at the kantonian meowth.)

As Aglaia gave her Pokemon their orders the two remaining Meowth did not have any plan to counter the incoming attacks. Their troubles were only magnified when Thyra looked right at the Kantonian Meowth with her Baby Doll Eyes attack lowering its attack and in the process took away its focus on everything else happening. With the Kantonian Meowth distracted Saury ran towards the Alolan Meowth delivering a full bodied tackle before securing the cat beneath him. " Oh wow, that Alolan Meowth went down a bit easier than I thought it would. That last Meowth looks kind of scared now." Her observation was spot on as the cat had realized by now that it was the only one left in the battle and Tondra having missed in the previous round made sure she would hit this round as she fired off a weak jolt of electricity scoring a direct hit on the Kantonian Meowth. The feline convulsed as the electricity passed throughout its body greatly reducing its speed and making it harder to attack. Luck was on the cats side however as it fought against the paralysis to walk towards Thyra as she watched thinking the cat would be unable to strike. Seconds later a claw scratched her belly with greater power than usual thanks to a CRITICAL HIT though even with the boosted damage the attack barely made any real difference as it was still greatly out numbered. " I kind of feel bad for that Meowth now, it is pretty brave trying to take on three Pokemon at once." The young girl then paused as Aglaia asked her for her name as she had totally forgot to introduce herself. " My name is Lucy, it is nice to meet you Aglaia. Thank you so much for helping me so far. Your Pokemon are so strong." She said gleefully as the sandstorm started to wreck havoc on all of the remaining Pokemon. The dire weather only added to the Kantonian Meowth's problems as it was bad enough to be outnumbered 3 to 1 but this weather sapping its health made it feel very uneasy by now about any hope it had to get away. Weather: SandstormMeowth | LV 8 | HP: 65% (17/26) Status: Paralyzed, Attack -1 Used Scratch on Thyra (Critical Hit)! Alolan Meowth ♀ | LV 10 | HP: 0% (0/31) Status: KO'ed KO'ed! Meowth | LV 8 | HP: 0% (0/26) Status: KO'ed Used KO'ed ! VS Saury ♀ | LV 31 | Swarm HP: 75% (65/87) Status: Normal Saury used Tackle on Alolan Meowth! Thyra ♂ | LV 12 | Healer HP: 32% (16/50) Status: Normal Used Baby Doll Eyes on Kantonian Meowth! Tondra ♀ | LV 18 | Lightning Rod HP: 53% (26/49) Status: Normal Used Thunder Wave on Kantonian Meowth!
Sandstorm caused 3 damage to Meowth, 11 damage to Saury, 6 damage to Thyra, and 6 damage to Tondra. Kantonian Meowth scored a critical hit on Thyra causing 6 damage.

Aglaia winced when she saw Saury's full bodied tackle, but she couldn't help but feel a bit proud of how strong he had become, it only grew when Lucy praised him indirectly. It was correct that the meowth didn't look very strong in comparison but it didn't look like Tondra or Thyra could handle them with quite that ease. Speaking of those two, Tondra clearly knew she had hit with her second attempt and she reared and bucked around in celebration and raced in big circles around the others. Thyra wailed when the claws dug into her stomach and then her face changed to a furious grimace. "Au. Di. No!" She shouted angrily and promised it a world of pain as retaliation shaking her fist in the air. They might not have claws but she knew how to use them and would make the meowth pay for that, she was not going to lose this!
Aglaia had half shrugged when the remaining meowth was left alone facing all her pokemon, it couldn't really end any other way unless she somehow managed to knock to of them out at once. She jumped starlet when Thyra shouted and ran at the lone meowth. Aglaia's eyes widened, she didn't want to chase the last one away, she needed to try catch it for Schmidt! A moment later she had a pokeball in her hand and flung it at the remaining meowth to try catching it before Thyra reached it. "If it stays in, it won't be alone much longer," Aglaia said with forced cheerfulness. She deliberately kept silent about that the other kantonian meowth probably would be on its own if she captured this one and they took the alolan one to where it belonged. "you're welcome, it is actually helping me too as I'm looking for some pokemon for another one. His niece really wants to see our versions of meowth and zigzagoon," Aglaia explained, "have you seen any zigzagoons around lately?"
Thyra went to hover over the pokemon while glaring at it, trying to will the meowth to stay in as if it could feel her presence outside, waiting for it. Tondra kept galloping around and Saury glanced down at the meowth below him to make sure it could breathe with him on top of it.
Wordcount: 385 (ooc: Pokeball thrown at the remaining meowth, shouldn't it work my pokemon won't retaliate any attack. If the battle finishes here please use the Multiplier on Saury)

The last remaining Meowth searched around the area with its large cat eyes. The usual grin had fallen off its face as the furry cream-colored cat with black dipped ears and block splotches at the ends of its rear legs and tail dropped to its feet. It began to use one of its back paws to claw at its own black dipped ear nervously, extending the sharp nails so that it could scratch generously at the flesh just past its own fur. The strangely similar greyish Meowth with its white tipped tail and back paws had already scurried off into the undergrowth, though it wasn’t too far off. Tired and exhausted, it had only managed to duck just out of the way to try and regain its strength. It meowed, worried, and all alone and slowly started to backpedal as it to scoot out of the fight altogether. “I’ll have to find that Alolan Meowth’s owners. They must be worried sick by now.” The girl walked past to where her back of coins had fallen off of one of the other Meowths and laid on the ground. As she went to fetch her money, the red-and-white Pokeball soared past her and bounced against the Kantoan Meowth with a soft click. It would fall to the ground and rock back and forth several times, before giving a soft ‘ding’ at a successful capture. “Do you want to help me find its owner too??” Lucy asked Aglaia as she scooped up the exhausted and fainted Alolan variant in her arms and nestled her close to her chest. The other Kantoan Meowth had ducked off through the city and rounded its way through back alleyways to disappear. Although the Alolan Meowth had gathered them all together underneath its lead and authority, it was no match to keep them in a losing battle. Only the sounds of a distressed cat, meowing loudly as it catcalled to the other wild cats that lurked, hidden, in the city streets could be could as a dying wail. It was a siren for the moment, sounding the alarm about such a powerful and noteworthy opponent. Lucy frowned, staring down at the clump of a cat in her arms, and shook her head. “You’ve caused so much trouble! Your owner needs to know what a troublemaker you are.” She stated matter-of-factly to the exhausted cat. Then she thought about Aglaia’s question for a moment. Those strange little raccoons were always tipping over trashcans and getting into everything! She thought that there was a colony of them living in the city dump yard near the end of the town, but she never gone there to find out herself. Her eyes brimmed at the thought of such a strange mystery! “Yeah, they’re always breaking into my momma’s trash can before the garbage men pick it up!” She said in a high pitched voice, then grimaced with a soured and ugly expression as she thought about the last time she had to clean up after those varmints. “I think there's a colony living near the landfill at the edge of town…but I really need to take this Meowth back to its owner.” She commented with a frown. It was a warning to Aglaia that she didn’t have the time to join the other girl on her search, as she slowly started to walk away with the Alolan Meowth. “Your collar says ‘415 Castleberry Cir’. That’s not far from where I live!” Lucy commented to herself. Success! Aglaia captured Meowth! 88% chance. Dice roll 79. Aglaia had not expected the determination of the little girl and she grabbed her arm to keep her from walking straight into a battle which was not done yet. "Just a moment, as soon as the one I'm trying to capture has been dealt with, you can go over there," Aglaia said kindly, "you can't really help it if you get injured yourself." As the pokeball confirmed the capture Aglaia let go of Lucy and the girl hurried over to pick up her money and turned to the alolan meowth, which had waken up and had scurried away when Saury had backed off it. Aglaia only got to be surprised on how keen Lucy suddenly was on helping the owned meowth, (was she so interested in a reward or did she just turn into full helpmode?), when a bright light from Saury made her forget everything else. She gaped as her starter grew to twice the size and his bulb become somewhat close to a full tree. Saury looked overwhelmed with his new form and his size scared Aglaia a bit so she stayed where she was watching him. The trainer pulled out her pokedex and scanned the big venusaur to see what she could learn about him. Aglaia frowned when studied him closer and learned that he wasn't really effective with the moves he knew, except the new one that sounded like it was just a evolution powered version of Razor Leaf. He also didn't have any advantages of his poison typing, but she could do something about that.
The moment the meowth was caught and the battle was over, Thyra relaxed and was back to her cheerful helpful self, all fury had disappeared in a wink of an eye. She bend down and picked up the pokeball and carried it over to Aglaia, who took it absentminded, as she was busy looking at her device. The audino shook her head, a major change had just happened to Saury and what did the trainer? Miss it all since she stared at her human thingy, it was so typical. Thyra hadn't any plans on letting it go unnoticed and she trotted over to the big venusaur to congratulate him, soon joined by Wystan after he had picked up the dropped collar and handed it over to Lucy.
Aglaia watched as both Wystan and Thyra chatted peacefully with Saury and forced herself to join them. "You look good, congratulations," Aglaia said gently but didn't manage to keep the nervousness out of her voice. Saury looked puzzled at her and Wystan send her a reassuring smile, Saury may look bigger but he was still Saury. Aglaia swallowed before she held out a couple of Tm's, the venusaur sagged a bit but accepted letting her use them on him. He didn't really care for her explanation of them, something about being better moves and being toxic, to him it just meant she planned using him in more battles.
Aglaia recalled all her pokemon except Wystan, they didn't complain, the sand still whirled about and got into your face. Aglaia had forgotten about it in the heat of battle, but now it was ever present and annoying again. She hurried after Lucy wanting to see the meowth getting home safely, but also to make sure the girl didn't ran into any other troubles. "I'll help you yes, you sound like you know where the place it so lead the way," she added and hoped it wouldn't take too long, she still had another pokemon to find to the Mr. Schmidt and the sandstorm didn't look to be slowing down anytime soon.
Wordcount: 608 (ooc: Saury evolves and learns Petal Blizzard instead of Razor Leaf. Also (finally) using TMs Venoshock and Toxic on him in place of Tackle and Sleep Powder. Thyra forgets Baby-doll eyes to learn Disarming voice. There is something off with Wystan's level gaining, it is correct he shouldn't get anything from the pokemon he KO but he switched out so there shouldn't be any calculations for the other. So either he gains +1 for switching, or he would gain none, since he knocked one out. Not sure which, but definitely not two ^^ -The meowth has been placed blank in Lei's box.)

The dust storm made things hard to see and would prove difficult to navigate the terrain of Cherrygrove’s open City. Still, Lucy was grateful that Aglaia would help her return the strange greyish-hued Meowth back to its original owners. She held the Pokemon close and kept a firm grasp even as the Alolan Meowth struggled within her arms. It used its back legs to kick at her and try to scratch and push her hands away, but the young girl’s spirits held their resolve. “Ok. This weather is retched, so stick close, alright?” Lucy would nod, then set off keeping closer to the sides of the buildings and trying to use their tall monumental bodies as leverage against the spiraling dirt and debris. The young girl gently stroked the Meowth between its black ears, running her hands along its head and down its back to the base of its tail, as it slowly started to settle down in her arms. Other travelers passed by, waving and greeting her. “I’m taking,” She waved back to a couple that would stop her in the middle of their journey, and then studied the Meowth’s collar for a name, “Dutchess back home!” The older woman of the couple nudged her boyfriend, who looked at her quizzically with his head tilted, before nodding and piping up, “Huh? Oh, yeah! Dutchess belongs to Misses Amonbutter! She lives right up the road, across from you, right?”Lucy nodded excitedly. “Oh, yeah, that’s right! I forgot she had an Alolan Meowth!” Then she gasped and turned to Aglaia. “Where are my manners?! Aglaia, this is Candy and Joe. Candy is short for Candace, and Joe…well Joseph!” Then, whether pressured by her traveling companion, or perhaps her own intuition, she would shrug off again. “I’m sorry, Candy…Joe. We can’t stay! I think my friend here is in a hurry herself, and she’s really only trying to make sure Dutchess gets home safe!” With another road block quickly resolved, Lucy would begin leading her companion back up the trail once more to Misses Amonbutter’s house. Once they finally arrived Amonbutter’s house, Lucy would offer to Aglaia the Alolan Meowth temporarily. “I don’t want her running off. Do you mind holding Dutchess while I knock on the door?” If Aglaia refuses, then Lucy would instead ask the older woman to knock on the door for her. An older lady with hair so grey it was almost white would open the door after one of the ladies knocked on it. She kept her wild, curly white hair up inside of a tight bun, and wore a wide-brimmed red “church” hat on her head, and a bright, long, flowy red dress. “Yes…yes…who is it?!” She called, then added as she opened the door. “Why hello there, Lucy! Who is your friend?”Lucy would turn and gesture towards Aglaia with a bright smile on her face. “This is Aglaia! Aglaia, this is Misses Amonbutter! She really helped us find your missing cat, Dutchess!” Lucy would then go on to briefly tell Amonbutter what happened, as the old lady reached out to take her cat back from the two young ladies. She would pet her precious pet over and over again, softly speaking and chastising the Alolan Meowth for escaping the house and running off like that. “You had me worr- what’s this?” She pulled an item out from where the Alolan Meowth had it tucked away in its fur, and examined the artifact. “You brought home another gift? I don’t need this, baby. You know we have the special milk you love that helps you!”Misses Amonbutter would then turn and extend the small purple spray medicine out to Aglaia with her hand. “Here. For being so helpful and returning my precious Dutchess, would you take this as a reward? Lucy, I am baking my famous Amonbutter cake! You can take it home to your mom, if you’d like?” Lucy nodded gratefully and darted inside of Amonbutter’s house in a hurry to retrieve the cake. That was the best prize of all! She didn’t need some stupid tin-can medicine, when she could have a whole cake! Misses Amonbutter offers you a gift for bringing Dutchess home safe!+1 Potion has been added to Aglaia's inventory.

Aglaia followed Lucy without saying much, the sandstorm was a good excuse to keep your mouth shut. She could probably have found something to chat about with the girl, but she did seem to have her hands ful and Aglaia felt a bit envious at her confidence and expert handling of the meowth which both flailed around and got dangerous close with its claws. Hadn't Lucy continued being so calm and eventually managing to get the meowth to settle down, Aglaia would have sugested to let one of her pokemon handle it instead. Saury could easily have held it in his vines and carried it in a safe distance from anyone, so it couldn't do any harm.
After a short walk they ran into an older couple, Aglaia smiled and nodded politely to them but didn't say anything. Lucy surely was known in these areas, Aglaia wondered if it was because she lived nearby or if she was active on some other way that made people of Cherrygrove City know her. The older couple could give some information on the owner to the naughty cat who Lucy also knew and they hurried to the place.
The trainer hesitated when Lucy suggested she held the meowth while the girl knocked on the door. She did not want that things claws that close to her but she couldn't really show she was scared in front of the girl so she needed to find an excuse. "I can knock, you are handling the meowth so well it would be a shame to disturb it!" Aglaia said cheerfully and knocked on the door before stepping back to let Lucy continue to do the talking.
"Greetings," Aglaia said politely as Lucy began introducing her and then explained while they were here. Aglaia waited patiently while the two talked and smiled as the old woman got her cat back. It reminded her a bit like her ond grandmother Astrid and her tiny joltik Janus although he rarely ventured outside or gave her any troubles at all. "Thank you although you don't have to, it was my pleasure," Aglaia said more to be polite than actually meaning it, Lucy had gotten her wish for a reward fulfilled which Aglaia didn't have the need for, but she was happy the meowth was back home again.
After having said her goodbuys to the old woman she returned to the Pokemon Center to get a break from the sandstorm. Relaxing there for a bit she went through her pokedex and went to check up on Shadow, the purrloin had been her second pokemon after Saury and had been gifted to her by another trainer. From what she could read others said the dark type evolved pretty quickly and Aglaia wondered if Shadow was close, it would be a nice accomplish to have both her first pokemon evolved, Paloma, her third had already evolved once so Shadow was the only one missing here. She put Tondra in the box to get place to get Shadow out, and she remembered how happy she had been with Saury so she let him out so they could meet as well. It had been a long time since they had seen each other and no-one had thought of the big change that had happened. Shadow hissed and arced her back scared as she stared at the huge venusaur in front of her while Aglaia just watched baffled. Saury was surprised at first but then looked hurt. "It's just me, Saury, please I don't want to hurt you," he said sadly and she stopped hissing but still looked warily at him. "Saury?" she repeared unsure, she could see similarities to her smaller green friend but now he was just so huge! And so unexpected.
Aglaia didn't really know what to do about it. "It's alright, he won't hurt you," she said reassuringly and Shadow cast an apologetic glance at him and then turned to rub herself up against Aglaia, she her knew and she needed a bit of comfort to get over the shock. Aglaia offered her a treat which she sniffed curiously and then chewed happily, a moment after having swallowed it she shook herself a couple of time to get rid of a itching under her fur, and then she got engulfed in a bright light.
As it faded Shadow stood stiffly with a twitching tail, that had been weird! "You look good, congratulations," Saury said quietly and smiled warmly when she looked at him, now he didn't look as big and imposing as before. She took a few hesitant steps forward, and with a purr she went to rub herself up against him and apologizing for her first shocked reaction, she hadn't meant to hurt him.
Aglaia let them enjoy each others company for a bit but then slapped her hands together. "I'm sorry, but I need to go looking for that zigzagoon, I'll return you both, perhaps you can get some time to chat at the professors," Aglaia said as she recalled them and then went to withdraw Tondra, after a short hesitation she pulled out Donna as well.
Outside braving the sandstorm once again, she set the course towards where she thought the landfil at the edge of the town was, it was her best chance to find what she was looking for.
(ooc: Saury is placed in the box and Donna takes his place. Rare candy given to Shadow who grows to level 21 and learns Assurance instead of Fury Swipes. She then evolves into Liepard!)

Braving the whipping sands once again the young lady set forth into the small city. Despite the coverage of buildings the storm had no trouble bombarding anything and everything with stinging particles. The cloud of brown continued to rage throughout the area making it very difficult to spot anything much more than a handful of feet away. Street signs wobbled and shook under stress of the winds; the clatter of each individual grain of dirt ringing throughout the streets. The usually bright and fragrant city was left a dark, claustrophobic maze. It was no surprise there was very little activity outside as Aglaia made slow progress toward the landfill. Both human and pokémon preferred to remain in safety. Quietly holed up in dens one only had to listen to the assault instead of be a participant. But of course there was the very rare individual, like the young trainer herself, that had some reason to be out. Angry squawks would slowly grow over the drone of the storm. It sounded to be right in her path. Sure enough, continuing along the faint outline of a tree would come into view. It was relatively young, sitting with a wire fence wrapped around its base to help protect it from scratchers and a pair of supports pulling on opposite sides. Clattering around the temporary fence was a bird. More specifically, a spearow. It seemed very intent at getting at a doll that had been caught in the links. Should Aglaia get closer it would become clear that the clefairy doll was well used, dirty and lightly ripped, and the spearow in its attempts to get at it had only made its life harder by pulling the plush even further into the chainlink. The bird was quite flustered by this point. The doll was at an awkward height for both flying and standing but still the wild pokémon tried all angles. It would peck and nip at the plush and try to wrench it through the protective barrier until finally noticing the trainer nearby. Spearow immediately perked and focused on her, unfurling its wings slightly and cawing fiercely. A wild Spearow (Lv 5) is trying to be scary What will Aglaia do?Weather = Sandstorm Shiny? mLEWKd5l1-421-42

Blasted storm, why should it be here today when she had a job. Aglaia pulled her jacket more up to try cover her nose and mouth but it offered little protection, at least her pokemon could be inside and out of it even though Wystan had protested against it. She had been determined both because she believed there was no need for them to endure it more than necessary, but also that she wanted to avoid more delays by interactions with a lot of pokemon that wasn't the one she was looking for. Her pokemon was so social she could be spending all day doing just that! Aglaia paused as she thought she heard what sounded like thunder but she couldn't see anything special as she looked around. It was probably just her imagination then.
The sounds of angry squawks certainly wasn't an imagination and Aglaia proceeded with care, not wanting to run into trouble. She paused as she saw the bird attacking something at the tree and she narrowed her eyes through the storm in an attempt to see what it was, a doll? She watched it for a bit, puzzled why the spearows often were so aggressive against others although here it almost looked like the doll was stuck and the bird tried to free it. She became more and more convinced at that as she looked and found that she had a hard time to just go on. She sighed, she was as bad as her pokemon, this was not her problem.
Aglaia tensed as the bird noticed her and looked threateningly at her, she took a few steps backwards and then decided it was not worth the risk offering to help it. She did not dare it, for once she understood Dorthea's fear of birds. She looked away and quickly crossed the street while glancing back to make sure it didn't follow her. Another thunder came rolling and Aglaia paused, that hadn't sounded like her imagination. Then the downpour started and she stared shocked ahead, how was this even possible? She had heard rumors of lightening in sandstorms, but rain? They were like polar opposites!
(ooc: running from the scary looking spearow! XD Looking for another encounter)

As Aglaia left the area where she had encountered the Spearow the sudden chanhe in weather not only surprised her it also surprised a nearby Pokemon who had been out scavenging for food. The odd looking Pokemon was far less menacing than a Spearow but they could become just as dangerous if provoked. For now however fear was the only feeling the next Pokemon felt as it laid eyes on her as despite being a common Pokemon a large number of new trainers would try and capture it's species. The Zigzagoon was glad it did not have to deal with a sandstorm anymore but it still had to deal with Agalaia who looked to be quite a strong trainer compared to.the others it had fought previously. Even with those victories it did not dare underestimate her as it was not a very powerful Pokemon and one wrong move could result in it losing a battle or worse it's freedom. The normal type Pokemon was not weakened by the rain but getting wet was still.not something it liked and as it shook it's fur to try and stay dry as it waited on Aglaia to make her move. " Zig, Zig-Zag-Goon" It cried out trying to boost it's confidence knowing it was going to be in for a tough fight if Aglaia was as tough as she looked. Zigzagoon (Level 8) appeared. Woould you like to battle or run? If you would like to battle please select a Pokemon.

Escaping the aggressive bird Aglaia hurried on relieved, she still had some way to her destination and it wasn't even certain she would find what she sought there. If the weather was any indication of her luck she would be out here for ages and never see as much as its shadow. Aglaia stared gloomily at the rain which had already soaked her through, and a flash of lighting made her jump, she blinked against the rain and decided it would be best to find some shelter and wait it out a bit. She found a door opening and writhed some water out of her hair, this certainly wasn't the job she dreamed about but she was stubborn, she couldn't just give up and relax because it was a bit unpleasant but she wasn't dressed for this. She looked down at herself and decided she could just as well continue, she couldn't get anymore wet anyway. A gate opening was her next target and she ran through the rain and stood there a bit sulking and looking for the next dry spot to rush to.
A cry made her start and she spun around and froze on the spot. There, right behind her in the rain was the pokemon she had been looking for, a zigzagoon. She couldn't believe her eyes and had she known it thought of her as strong looking she would have been convinced this was a dream. It was lucky for her the zigzagoon stayed since it would have had plenty of time to run away, but not Aglaia got time to pull herself together and choose a pokemon.
The shining illumise looked around confidently and smiled to the zigzagoon. "Hello darling," she greeted and wrinkled her tiny little nose when she noticed the rain, "what an awful weather, are you really living out in this?" "Donna, I want to catch this one, so hold back a bit, try a Quick Attack," Aglaia said and Donna winked to her trainer before turning back to the normal type. "Isn't that just wonderful?!" She squealed and raced forward to grab her opponent before it ran away. As soon as Aglaia saw an opening, she would loop a pokeball at the zigzagoon.
(ooc: Donna uses Quick Attack then Aglaia throws a pokeball)

As soon as Zigzagoon saw Donna any hopes it had of this battle being easy seemed lost. Illumise were not a common sight in these parts and a shiny one was very rare indeed. Though it knew it might be in a lot of trouble the bug type did not look to be very fast. It did seem to be trying to communicate with it in some way but Zigzagoon was too busy trying to come up with a victory plan to pay attention to any cues Donna might be giving it. All the planning in the world would not prepare it for the bug types incoming attack as she was far faster than she looked. She sped towards Zigzagoon and delivered a powerful strike as it skid across the muddy ground coming to a halt after about a foot or two as it stood back up and got ready to attack. Being so young limited the options it had to strike back but Tackle would at least get the point across that it was angry at the bug for causing so much damage. Zigzagoon managed to Tackle Donna as she paused to rest for just a moment after her attack. Unlike Donna's Quick Attack the Tackle barely put a dent in her as she quickly shook off the blow. The rain did not help either as it refused to let up and as the poor drenched Zigzagoon prepared to be target practice for Donna again it was caught off guard by the incoming red and white Pokeball that Agalaia tossed trying to capture it. The normal type Pokemon was pretty banged up but it did not want to be captured if it could help it and as it disappeared into the ball it fought with all of it's might to break free. Had it been a bit stronger it might have succeeded however it just did not have the energy left to break the ball open. After 3 desperate sways the ball clicked shut and the battle came to an end. Donna gained 1 level and is now level 16. Zigzagoon has been captured, please complete the following code. Zigzagoon Name: [choose] Gender: [choose] Level: 8 OT: Aglaia Lund Moves: Tackle, Growl, Sand Attack, Tail Whip Ability: Pickup or Gluttony Nature/Personality: [choose]
OOC: Just to check did you deduct the Pokeball yourself? I want to make sure before I remove one.

Aglaia shivered in the cold as she was standing still and waited for her chance to act, she was relieved to learn that Donna did as told even though they hadn't really worked together before. Perhaps it just became natural for the pokemon to do as ordered? Aglaia didn't really like that thought, it made sense there was a trainer who could guide the pokemon in battles since they often knew more about the opponent than the pokemon themselves, but the thought of pokemon being natural followers gave Aglaia a bad aftertaste of them being less worth than humans. It really could be a fine line and Aglaia could understand the ones who wanted to discuss the questions this relationship could mean. Aglaia got pulled out of her thoughts as the two pokemon clashed and then withdrew a bit from each other. The zigzagoon had the back on her, here was her chance! She looped the red and white sphere at the normal type and inhaled as it got sucked inside, the girl held her breath and clenched her fists as she willed the wild pokemon to stay inside so she could get back to the dry Pokemon Center.
"Yes!" Aglaia breathed when the pokeball shut close and Donna threw her hands in the air as celebration. Aglaia grinned to her pokemon, who put a hand on her hip and pranced while flying over to her, and chittered something and patted the girl's arm, and then disappeared into her pokeball again. Aglaia looked a bit surprised, Donna certainly didn't act like she couldn't act on her own, so perhaps pokemon did as told since they wanted to help out? Aglaia hoped it was so, it was much more reassuring and her own pokemon had at least not acted subdued. She shook her head to get rid of the thoughts, it probably came from being wet and cold, and she hurried over to pick up the pokeball. Time to head back and dry up and when the rainstorm had passed she could find Mr. Smith with the good news she had gotten both of the pokemon he had asked for, it felt good. She certainly would be up for a similar task another time, if the weather was better than this or she was better prepared for it. This hadn't been fun and hopefully she would not get sick from it.
Wordcount: 400 (ooc: I hadn't deducted the pokeball, but I will do it now. Zigzagoon I have placed blank in Lei's box) -ending thread.
