Damien and Storm walked out of Violet City. Even with the strong breeze making walking somewhat difficult, especially for the new flaaffy, they both carried determined smiles and were looking forward. They and the rest of the team were prepared for whatever would come their way along the somewhat long route.
As they walked, the morning dew on the grass and plants that surrounded them was very noticeable. Damien’s shoes and Storm’s feet had gotten a bit wet from the dew on the ground. The plants/grass swayed in the strong wind. Honestly, it felt great. The only way the weather could’ve been any better was if the wind was just a slight bit weaker. “Let’s go see what we can find on this route,” Damien said to Storm. "Flaaaafffy!"

It was almost like Falkner and his birds were trying to continue their battle, as the wind kept gusting around tucking in what was left of Storm's wool and in Damien's clothes. It was a day where you were glad not to have long hair, as it would have been all over your face, and if Damien had gel in today even that would have a hard time doing its job and keeping his hair in place. A pidgey fought the wings and did its best to fly up against it, with a determination that rivaled Damien and Storms, that is until it saw the electric type and it stared in shock, clearly not expecting to see something like that here. It clearly knew what Storm was, perhaps it had seen mareeps around Cherrygrove, it was pretty close when you were flying after all. It turned and raced off as fast as the wind could carry it. The route was quiet otherwise, an acorn came flying and landed in the road in front of them and rolled off, perhaps the wind had blown every wild pokemon away like the pidgey? A lot of leaves came dancing through the air and a few leaves got stuck in Storm's wool where they waved eagerly. It would be hard for the wind to blow off land based pokemon, bellsprouts certainly would root themselves securely right? A stick flew dangerously close to Damien's face, it was too small to really have hurt him but it could have been unpleasant. The route was surprisingly quiet though, perhaps there had been too many trainers traveling through and scared away the pokemon? Perhaps They would need to look further away from the well traveled road if they wished to meet something interesting? Green grass came flying through the air around them, followed by a handful of beechnuts. What was it with this wind?! The sound of a snapping branch, followed by a yell: "Aiiii!"The purple monkey swiftly grabbed another branch with its tail and grinned at the trainer and his pokemon. Its arms were full of leaves which it let go off and let the wind take and blow around the human and flaafy, its teasing had been discovered but that didn't make it any less fun! Aipom [lvl 11] has been teasing you and exposed! What are you going to do?Shiny? Nope, not going to be that lucky, heheWfYUS5Wc1-421-42

As even his short hair seemed to sway in the strong breeze, Damien and Storm trudged on through the wind. They didn't have a problem with pushing through the tough circumstances. The fact that the trainer's hair would be quite embarrassingly bad as they traveled on wasn't going to bother Damien at all on their journey. Leaves got stuck in the electric sheep's wool, but that wasn't going to stop them. Damien barely managed to dodge the stick as it came much too close for comfort to hitting him in the face. He looked around a bit, not noticing anything strange or out of the ordinary, and then continued on with Storm. As soon as he had turned back towards the direction they were headed, Storm and him both got barraged by... grass and tree nuts?
At this point, Damien knew something strange had to be up. That wasn't normal even for wind this strong. This time Damien and Storm came to a complete stop as the analyzed the situation. Snap! There was the answer. Their attention swiftly turned to the purple monkey with a somewhat large and arm-like tail, which seemed to have three fingers. It was an aipom, and one that seemed to be enjoying teasing the duo with its own little game. More leaves would fly by Damien and Storm after being released by the monkey.
Damien let out a slight laugh after having realized the aipom was just trying to have some fun, even if the sticks it threw could've hurt someone. "Well, aren't you a playful little monkey," Damien said towards the aipom. "Would you like to battle?"
Damien reached for a Pokeball at a belt and threw it towards the tree aipom hung from. "Squirt--Squirtle!" a light escaped the ball which would eventually reveal the shelled Pokemon. "Kara, give it your best shot with a Water Gun!" Perhaps if Damien could show the teasing aipom that they were strong and worthy, it'd want to join their team? Aipom was certainly a rare species for the area, or so he assumed it was. It seemed any Pokemon was rare for the route from his current journey down it. Storm watched excitedly as Kara began her attack, preparing to blast a jetstream of water from her mouth.

The small purple and cream furred monkey was having the best time in the world. When trainers would walk by, it would find random bits of debris off the ground and duck out of the way to toss it at them. However, something about the short blonde-haired teenager caught the Aipom’s eyes and caused the mischievous prime ape to wonder a little too dangerously close to the road, if you will. Damien released a small red shelled blue skinned turtle as Aipom filled up the palm at the end of its tail with a bunch of tiny pebbles and dirt. Aipom would toss the pebbly mix of sand and debris at Kara as the Squirtle appeared on the battlefield. It raised it small arms up to its mouth, which had a huge grin plastered on its face, and snickered. That seemed really funny to the prime ape Pokemon, as the sand would rain down on the Squirtle, getting all over Kara’s shell and into the crooks and crannies of her shell where her legs and neck connected. Kara seemed determined. She jumped into the midst of the action, releasing a Jetstream of water that smacked the Aipom in the face. It shocked the purple monkey. Aipom dropped a bunch of sand and grass that it had already begun picking up to load its next attack with and shied back a bit from the other Pokemon. “Aiii aii pomm!” Its voice shouted as it pumped its fist in the air. Perhaps it was asking why the other Pokemon needed to be so rough? Although, it seems as though it could also be rooting itself on and trying to pick up some needed encouragement after such a damaging move. The wind bustled around the Aipom, Damien, and his Squirtle, stirring all the debris that the purple monkey had gathered up and spinning it about aimlessly. The constant barrage of all sorts of stuff from the wild teasing Aipom would be enough to make anyone irritated. Damien tried to ignore the want to be irritated by it, and so did both Storm and Kara. Instead, he had hopes of catching the aipom. If Professor Elm needed all the Pokemon for the Pokedex, then this teasing little purple monkey was definitely no exception to that. But it needed to be a bit weaker… The way the energetic monkey was acting at the moment, Damien was sure it would escape any of the balls he had. Another barrage of all sorts of nature would upset Kara a bit noticeably as it seemed to get into her eyes. Nevertheless, her focus still remained on the monkey as it grinned. “Squirt!”
“Kara, you’re doing great!” Damien called out to his water-type Pokemon. “We’re going to need to blast it a few more times. Try to hit it with another water gun attack back-to-back, as fast as you can! Don’t give it a chance to throw more stuff at you.”
Kara nodded before her mouth began to fill again with water, readying to release its own set of projectile towards the aipom. She focused her vision on the Pokemon, and released the stream of water. It definitely wasn’t the strongest water-type move, but it was enough to deal some damage for Kara, who was still somewhat new to battling.

The winds whipped around the scenery in a harsh whirling, whhsshwsshhwhhh. The bright green leaves on the trees rustled in the breeze while branches fought against the tailwinds. The gusty weather would have been perfect for those with wings, who could glide upon the winds easily and soar without as much effort. However, for the land dwellers it seemed to tug and pull. The Aipom’s furry bristled and spun in place as the winds seemed to push it about, their gusts blowing in different directions from northwest then to southeast. “Aaaiii!” The purple monkey’s chatter carried on the wind as it waved its short stubby arms in an elaborate display to snap up Kara’s attention. It seemed evident that Kara and her trainer were taking this battle seriously, and they paired their moves in order to effectively do the best damage to their opponent. Aipom stuck out its thick pink tongue and pulled at the lower eyelid as it made faces at Kara. In one swift motion, the purple monkey would spin around and wriggle its butt to shake its tail back and forth from one side to the next. The tail bounced around and waved disarmingly. Kara shot out a powerful Jetstream but missed the Aipom. The sand and debris that the furry monkey had thrown at the other Pokemon seemed to irritate Kara’s eyes, and though she tried to focus she missed her aim. The furry purple monkey watched the powerful Jetstream blast past it and its tilted its head curiously. Then, it began to laugh and pointed its fingers dramatically from itself, to Kara, then to where the Jetstream had fired at in it’s complete miss of the monkey Pokemon. Aipom immediately leapt forward and began to make terrifying and frightening faces to astonish and scare its opponent as it attack. The bright red aura surrounded the Pokemon during its attack. Kara was ready on the beat. Within moments, she shot out a powerful Jetstream that slammed into Aipom’s face, cutting through the display even though the damage had already been done. The Aipom cried out. “Aaiiipommm!” It wailed at the top of its lungs and tripped. It caught itself only after halfway falling to the ground and leaped back up with its stubby arms balled into fists. It would appear, at least for now, that the Aipom was starting to take the battle more seriously. The aipom wasn’t letting up on Damien or Kara, and neither was the wind. The first Water Gun attack from Kara would inevitably be a miss from the foreign debris the aipom had been consistently using against them and to tease them. Kara got somewhat noticeably upset from the aipom’s teasing laugh. After the astonishment, she wouldn’t miss her chance. She shot as strong a jetstream as she could currently muster towards the wild monkey. As the attack made contact with the aipom, it would send it into what seemed like an uproar in its voice as it tripped. Damien could tell the Pokemon was certainly not happy. But neither were Kara or Damien at this point. The monkey seemed to be definitely getting to the two, as well as to Storm, who still stood by Damien idly waiting.
Damien knew how easily Storm could finish off the monkey’s games, but Kara needed more experience, and he still wanted to catch the Pokemon for the sake of the Pokedex. The aipom clearly still had quite a bit of energy left, even if it had taken some damage from the attacks. But the trainer had an idea. Into his bag Damien’s hands went, until they would reveal a green Pokeball with yellow stripes. He drew his arm up and back and then quickly tried to throw the ball towards the aipom, hoping it wouldn’t be able to dodge his throw.
“Kara you’ve been doing great. Hang in there. Hopefully this ball will catch it,” said Damien.

Aipom squinted, albeit over dramatically, at the boy and his turtle. All the while that large toothy grin stretched across its face, motions swaying as it readied to move in any direction at the drop of a hat. A slow hat. A chuckling fit overtook the playful ape as it heard the trainer trying to comfort the water type struggling to even see Aipom. It brought back the memory of throwing sand only moments ago and it couldn't help but laugh at its own antics once again. A mistake perhaps. Cause what the wild pokémon didn't pay attention to was the ball Damien was preparing. Just as the monkey resumed its serious face it was slapped smack dab in the middle. One could barely make out the aipom's recoil before it was sucked inside of the modified device. Primed for low level captures the green shaded ball quickly locked down and began the process of containing the wild nuisance. qBn2Q8tn1-100 It rocked back and forth wildly, a chipping sound coming through every now and again as the nest ball tried its best to stay closed. But alas, on the second set of thrashing the top popped off and Aipom was back on the scene; screaming. The purple monkey shot into the air like a banshee wailing, hooking its dexterous tail onto a dainty tree branch and doing a loop before finally breaking its astonishing sound to chuckle down at its audience. Kara hadn't appreciated the jump scare at all. Her ears throbbing.
