Faith's aim... wasn't the best it was too much to the side and the sandstorm didn't help at all, as it pulled it way out of course and it landed several feet in front of its target, and kept rolling over the grass as the wind and sand continued to buffer it.

The hoppip shook once more and its head finally cleared from the confusion it had suffered from, what had happened? It got an extra spray of sand in the face as the pokeball landed nearby and sent more sand into the air, and it spluttered and backed a bit to take in what was going on. It took it a moment to realize that it was a pokeball and as it slowly began to roll in the storm, it looked surprised at Faith and Spewpa.
It had no idea what it had been doing while it had been confused, it was all in a blur, and with sand dancing on front of its eyes, but somehow it had managed to convince the human that it was worth bringing along.
It grinned, she seemed nice and her pokemon didn't look like they thought it was horrible to travel with her and made a quick decision.

Hoppip limped after the ball and stopped it, then it exhaled deeply and pushed the button which sucked it inside. The ball wiggled a few times and then lay still, though the wind could probably soon begin to push it again.

Spewpa Watched closely and grew 3 levels! Making her [lvl 12]!
What is this? Spewpa attempts to evolve into Sandstorm Vivilon! Will you allow that?

Faith's eyes widened in shock as her ball completely missed. The dust storm made her aim off, but she hadn't expected to completely miss the mark like she just had. With all the dust and wind, she was worried that she would lose the Pokeball due to it being blown away. Unfortunately, she couldn't think about that right now. Missing the capture attempt meant that the battle was still ongoing, and that put her Spewpa at risk. The little Pokemon glanced back at Faith, as if uncertain. There wasn't much that Faith could do at the moment, but continue on. She wondered if it was a good idea to try another capture attempt, but didn't like the idea of risking the same thing to happen to again. She knew it made it easier for the opposing Pokemon to capture her own off guard and injure them.

Just when Faith was going to tell the Spewpa to Tackle, something happened. The once dazed Hoppip took some time gathering itself, but it actually made its way right over to the empty Pokeball. Her eyes widened as the Pokemon voluntarily went into the Pokeball. Faith just stood there for a few moments, contemplating the scene in front of her. She couldn't help but think she had just been seeing things. After all, it sounded crazy for a Pokemon she had missed a capture attempt with would willingly volunteer to go into the Pokeball. She couldn't help but wonder if the Pokemon was still under the effects of Ralts's confusion, and only mistakenly did that.

Finally, she slowly made her way to her newly captured Pokemon. She bent over and put the Pokeball into her pocket. She withdrew the Ralts, then just as she was about to do the same with the Spewpa she was greeted with another surprise. The bug Pokemon was already undergoing another evolution! In fact, this was the evolution that the kid she'd agreed to help wanted. He wanted to see all of the different evolution types of this particular Pokemon. Faith just watched it, not wanting to stop the evolution. This was a promise, and she would let the kid see all of the different forms of this Pokemon. The evolution stopped, and the newly evolved Vivilon was flapping its wings above her. Faith looked it over, a pleased smile on her face. The Vivilon looked rather proud of itself and flew around the place.

"I think I'll call you Storm now," Faith decided slowly.

Faith had never considered naming her Pokemon before. She didn't see why! However, now that this Pokemon had fully evolved and took on the form of the dust storm, well the name just seemed obvious. She grinned at her Pokemon, which was now looking tired from flying in the dust storm. She grabbed Storm's Pokeball and withdrew it. Now, it was time to get out of this storm and figure things out. She would need to head out to Violet City as soon as possible. Faith decided that it was going to be best to stop at the Pokemon Center before heading out. She wanted to transfer the Bidoof to the Professor, and keep her new Pokemon. After all, she needed to know why it chose her!

While Faith was slowly making her way to the city, she saw something. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a Pokemon Egg. It looked to be having a hard time: the sand was constantly pelting it, and she worried the egg would soon crack. She made her way over to the Pokemon Egg, and glanced around. Where was its mother? She frowned, but bent over and picked up the egg. She held it close to her body, before deciding it was best to put it in her backpack. There it would be safest from the dust storm. After that, she took some time for search for the mother. Certainly, it would be worried if the egg was with the human? However, no matter how long Faith searched, she just couldn't find the mother.

Faith wondered if the mother was dead, or had it abandoned it? Did it want the egg to be with a human? Unfortunately, none of these questions could be answered. Faith could only give up, as the last rays of sunlight were gone. It was now night, and she knew that traveling in the night was far more dangerous. No, she needed to leave here.
