The furious tree-like pokémon didn't hesitate one moment as the trainer continued to speak. Luckily for them there was quite a distance to cover. That and the lumbering tree could probably be outrun by a bidoof with the way it laboriously carried itself closer to Vör, slapping away any branches that even roughly hung themselves in the rock-type's path. When the beam of steely power slammed in opposition to the sturdy pokémon it came to an abrupt stop but didn't fall over. Like a rooted boulder the sudowoodo stood.
Vör's attack dissipated and left a discolored scorch over the wild pokémon's front. It growled. It was barely clinging to consciousness but it was still able to move. Sudowoodo carried itself just that little bit further to deliver a half-decent smash down on the lucario's shoulder. She managed to keep the blow from cutting through her defenses.
Following the attack the pokémon had nothing left. The dusk ball flew and encapsulated the being. With barely a shake the device's locking mechanism chimed. It was all over. The menace was caught.
"I don't believe it." The gruff voice of the older rancher piped up behind the aspiring dragon tamer. "That was it. That was what was causin' all this trouble around here." Bernie took in a long deep breath and released a notable sigh of relief. Smile creeping along his face the man practically skipped up to March and company.
"I'm sure glad you decided to come along!" The man chuckled, interrupting the flow of his speech for a second. "Now the orchard and all this... This can all finally get to healing. I can't thank you enough." Though he could thank a little. Bernie brought his hands up in offer to the trainer. Three berries rested in his palms.
"You go ahead and take these. It's just a little of what I could save from some of the damaged trees. A little taste," he chuckled again.
"Time to get some rest. Lots of work to do in the morning." Bernie nodded, took another deep breath to feel his spirits lift once again, then he went back to the shed to lock it up before heading back home.
As March would make to leave the area himself, a glint of moonlight would shine off of something from the nook in which sudowoodo had rooted itself. Upon a quick investigation a bright brick-colored HM disk could be found.
