Another log came in through the Personal Computer, catching Professor Elm’s attention. It was from one of the trainers he’d sent out into the wilds of the local Johto region, reaching out to him to let him know how their journey was going so far. One of the assistants popped over, placing a small glass of water on Elm’s desk with mild curiosity. “Who is it this time?” She hummed softly underneath her breath, pointing towards the screen with one of her index fingers. “The lovely young girl, Trixie. She’s been wonderful help with our research so far.” Elm mused, turning to the nearly forgotten about breakfast sandwich sitting on a beautifully painted appetizer plate. He picked it up with one hand and absentmindedly nibbled, tasting the sweet and savory flavors of maple-smoked bacon blending against the cheese and eggs smashed between two flaky croissants. “You won’t believe what she’s seen this time!” He mused. The assistant’s eyes widened in disbelief. How could someone so fresh along their journey manage to cross such a beast? “They’re not marked to show up in that area though… are they?” His assistant asked curiously, cross referencing all the records they had on the illusive bears. “Should we send out an investigative group to double-check her findings?” Elm shrugged, clicking on the screen to return back to his previous worksheet. “I believe her. My guess is that either they’re invasive or naturalizing in the area. Still… sending out a research group would be a wise endeavor.” He agreed. Noting Bulbasaur was already checked off previously and not added to Shared spot, so no updates needed for it. ^^
