Lunch time, one of the best times of the day... especially for Pokemon. Ever given the chance to eat, Pokemon more likely than not take it! Around two weeks into her journey, it looks like Nadia has been doing herself very well. Wanting to take in the sights, the sounds, and of course the sun, Nada went down to find the beach of Cherrygrove City. The beach was rather small and didn't have a lot of people there, unlike Vermilion City which was all about the beaches and sea. But it doesn't mean this place wasn't cute too!
Nadia found a set of picnic tables under a giant wooden umbrella on the beach to set up a place of rest for a while. Switching to her two piece bikini and letting her Pokemon out for fresh air, she looked at them all. First was Leonardo, her Squirtle. He was more thrilled than anyone to be on a beach with water to swim in! Then there was Gary, the silver colored Slugma she encountered around Mt. Silver. That was a horrifying experience, but at least she didn't leave it empty handed. Following was Cheeky the mischevious Taillow, and Katie the Skitty she had taken responsibility for when she recovered it from a thief. The police asked if she would be willing to look after the Pokemon in the meanwhile and that suited her just fine.
"Time to eat, everybody!" Nada said, balancing bowls of Pokechow in her arms. She set down the four bowls in front of each of her Pokemon. The Pokechow was, of course, nothing more than kibbles of some sort. But the Pokemon loved it! Nada thought she might some day learn how to make her own Pokechow for her Pokemon instead of the store bought stuff. Disregarding this factor, she set down the food and then went over to get her sleeping bag from her belongings and set it down on the sand, right in the sunlight. The wooden umbrella was nice, but she couldn't get a tan in the shade. But rather than laying down, she sat on top of the blanket and held onto one of her knees, watching her Pokemon. It felt good that she decided to continue her journey instead of giving up and going home.

The faint breeze of air from the seashore pushed against Joey's face and his Koffing; who he had decided to take out on a stroll with him for a little relaxation. The breeze didn't bother Joey all that much, in fact it was almost welcome from the harsh sunlight in the sky. The only problem was it made his hair fall in front of his eyes to which he responded by constantly brushing it behind his ears and bandanna. "Grr...! It's a mixed bag this wind..." He paused as he reached a small palm tree and rested against it with his hands clutching his stomach. "I sure am hungry though. I don't think i've eaten anything since arriving in Johto off that voyage cruiser..." His stomach rumbled noisily and he sighed. "I 'spect it's been even worse for you, huh Koffing?" His Koffing bobbled up and down in response to Joey's question and slowly began to deflate it's body to express its hunger.
The wind blew against Joey's face once more but instead of this time cursing it, a small grin crept across his face. He craned his neck round to look at Koffing and patted him with his right hand. "Smell that? This thief's nose can smell..." He licked his lips. "SOMETHING EDIBLE!" Joey cheered to himself excitedly as the Koffing floated excitedly around his head. "Looks like it's coming from over in that direction..." He tried covering his eyes with his hands to get a better look but unfortunately for him, the sun was blinding out his sight. He kicked the trunk of the tree in disappointment but as soon as his foot connection, an idea popped in his head. "Hey... Follow me, Koffing. I'm gonna climb this thing and try and get a better look." Joey began to scale the small tree and it wasn't long before his dexterous efforts placed him near the top to a suitable vantage point. He squinted off into the distance and noticed what seemed to be a small group of Pokemon eating away happily with a teenage girl sitting by herself. "Bingo." He muttered.
With a sudden jolt, he slipped down the tree and landed messily into the sand, with many specs of dust now covering his clothes. "Ahhh damn it!" Koffing chuckled to itself and blew a strong gust of gas at Joey to blow off the sand. Joey braced himself for a horrific smell but was quite grateful that it had been nothing but air that was blown at him. "Nice going Koffing. Let's approach this girl now... I reckon I can swindle some food off of her if we beg nicely enough." With that Joey composed himself and began walking towards her in a casual manner. They arrived not long thereafter and Joey waved to her. "Hey! Nice day for the beach eh?" He smiled warmly while trying to make it look unapparent he was scouting for her food. Koffing span around on the spot and cried cheerfully.

"Wow, what happened to you? You look like you fell out of a tree." Nada said to the stranger, unaware that was exactly what happened. But she then turned her expression into a smile. "But yes, it is a beautiful day. Reminds me a little bit of my home town. Hungry?" Without even being asked, Nada reached into her bag and pulled out and orange and an apple. They were contained in little zip-lock baggies and look to be slightly moist, like as if they were on ice to be kept cool. She tosses them over to the stranger and then proceeds to pulls some cans of soda out, "Dr. Pokemon" was the brand name. Sesh, does she have an entire cooler in there as well or something?
"You look hungry, so why not hang around for a while and rest up?" She continued to say. "You maybe a new trainer yourself?"

"Oh like you wouldn't believe..." Mumbled Joey in reference to her saying he fell out of a tree. Joey grinned at the female trainers hospitality and decided that instead of doing a steal and run he'd partake in some conversation with her. He sat down next to her and gratefully received the food she handed. "An apple and an orange huh?" He placed the orange next to his side and began tucking into the apple devouringly. "Mmmm this apple is just perfect." He took another hearty chunk out of it and grinned cheerfully. "Yeah I am a trainer. I might look the deliquent but I definitely do train my Pokemon." He nudged Koffing and smiled. "Koffing's one of my Pokemon. I love him."
Koffing span around in air almost as to greet the new face. "Name's Joey. It's good to meet you and thanks for the food before I forget. I usually get a bit hotheaded sometimes." He finished his apple and placed the core next to the orange before picking up the orange itself and peeling it for its tasty contents. "Nice Pokemon you got. I take it you're interested in training?" He began eating segments of the fruit and smacked his lips approvingly. "Oh and what's your name? I don't think I caught it..."

"You didn't catch my name because I didn't say it. My name is Nadia. But you can call me Nada if you want. Your choice." She said with hospitality. "And yes, I too am a trainer. Though I've only been doing it for about two weeks now. Oh, and would your Koffing like some food? I've got some Pokechow left..." Nada got up and walked over to where some of her other Pokemon were. There were a few extra dishes just sitting off to the side, two to be exact, making for a grand total of six dishes. She picked up one of the dishes and the bag of Pokechow and returned with it, putting the food into the dish and passing it to the Koffing.
"You say you're a little hotheaded, but at least you haven't come off and try to hit on me from the get-go." She continued. "Plus I could just tell from looking at the two of you that you were going to try to bum some meals off of me anyway, right?" She then grinned after that comment. Everything she said was earnest, almost to the point that it was a fault. Maybe this wasn't the first time she dealt with a similar situation. ""Kill them with kindness," as my mother would always say."
Meanwhile, Leonardo and the gang just about finished up their food... with the exception of Gary who ate slowly. Very, very slowly. Leonardo had munched down every last morsel of his food and was still looking rather hungry. You could tell by the look in his eyes that he still had room for some more food and was eying Gary's food. He began to nudge himself ever so closer to the silver slug Pokemon, trying to look as innocent as can be while doing so.

Koffing's body bubbled excited with small plumes of gas puffing out from his small craters. He whirled around on the spot with excitement as Nadia handed him some Pokechow. He had never really eaten anything of this high quality before but he wasn't going to let that stop him from eating it in almost record time. As the dish was placed in front of him he gravitated his head downwards on the plate and began eating away happily. Joey fed himself another orange segment and almost choked on how fast Koffing was demolishing that meal. "Woahhh... He's a fast eater!" He patted Koffing as he carried on eating.
He looked up as Nadia continued what she was saying. "Pleasure to meet you Nadia." He said with a small smile on his face. It slowly erupted into a huge beaming grin as Nadia figured him out from the get go. "Ha ha ha! You're a sharp one aren't ya? Your eyes may convey a sense of gentleness and..." He paused staring at her eyes. "...Also sadness but I can tell that you're pretty smart figuring me out like that." He paused and ate another piece of orange, chewing it thoroughly before continuing. "That or my belly was rumbling too loudly." He shrugged and finished off the last his orange while starting on a Dr.Pokemon. He took a deep thirsty glug from the bottle and let out a refreshed approval. "Ahhh! Hit the spot."
He held the bottle in his hands between his legs and decided to ask some more about her. "I couldn't help but notice your necklace. Looks rather fetching. You rich or something?" Joey tried his best to refrain about talking but his old habits as a thief die hard. "Still, your mother's got the right kinda attitude. Kill 'em with kindness is a helluva way to go." He smiled and finished off his drink rather quickly. "You know... Despite my appearance you've been pretty welcoming to someone like me. Makes a nice change. I usually get the rap for thieving this and thieving that..." Joey hesitated mid sentence. Nadia's gentle personality seemed to have loosened Joey's tongue. "Ah." He paused before trying to brush it off as nothing while awkwardly chuckling.
As Nadia and Joe conversed, Koffing, who had finished his exquisite Pokechow, floated over to Nadia's Pokemon and suddenly crashed into the sand next to them and began rolling around playfully without floating. "Koooofffffffffing" He beamed ecstatically having found some new Pokemon to play with. Joey, sensing an opportunity to change the subject after bumbling in front of Nadia and telling her he was a thief, saw it a prime opportunity to change tact. "Seems like Koffing is enjoying himself."

"I've seen plenty of different guys while living on the shores of Vermilion City. It is a port city and it attracts a lot of different people. From sailors to thieves, I've meet plenty of different people from around the world. I've just got experience on the subject and see it in their eyes." She answered Joey in full reply. She paused and listened while Joey asked about her necklace she wore around her neck. "No, I'm not particularly rich. I mean, my dad is just an everyday businessman for Silph Co. and this necklace I got when I was twelve for my birthday. But my dad is a bit of a stiff on money. I wish he'd use his position and get a discounted PokeGear for me or something."
Joey replied. He tried a topic change by saying things about her mother and her eyes. Flattering as it was, Joey wasn't particularly swooned over by his words. In all complete honesty, she still had hopes of some day meeting that silent knight hero of hers from Mt. Silver. Oh, if she had only got a clean, good look at the guy! Protecting a complete stranger like against such a dangerous Pokemon! Talk about a heart throb! These thoughts are what drifted through Nada's head as Joey spoke. Maybe she took the look of looking swooned, but it was because she simply told herself this guy wouldn't do because of a certain someone else.
Then Joey coughed.
"Oh, right!" she said, making it look like she was paying attention the entire time. She didn't catch the thief part. "I've never seen a Koffing do that before. I must confess that I haven't really hung out with a Koffing, either. I saw them a few times by the docks and at school... h-hey! Leonardo!"
Nadia suddenly noticed what Leonardo has been up to. While Gary was still slowly and steadily eating his food, he was detracted by the Koffing that had approached and started rolling around all over the place. Gary turned his head to look, then Leonardo took the opportunity to pounce for the food dish and begin scarfing down the Pokechow for himself. Gary hadn't really reacted. But when Nadia shouted at the Squirtle, he choked up a bit from the surprise and jumped back. Holding out his arms like as-if he were trying explain himself and pointing to Katie, it was apparent Nadia wasn't buying it.
"You don't try to take food from your friends, Leonardo." Nadia said, approaching the small group of Pokemon. "That is bad, Leonardo. Very bad. Did you want dessert today or not?" In response, the young Squirtle frowned.

Joey listened to Nadia's tale about her father and started to become bitterly reminiscent of his own father. "Despite being stiff on money least your dad is there for you." Joey fell silent for a few moments while nudging the sand around with his boots. "I never really knew my pa. He left me when I was extremely young but from what i've pieced together on my own and from my mother... I don't think he was a particularly nice man." His face screwed up and he sighed exasperatingly. "I sort of want to meet him and..." He clenched his fist to himself and continued on speaking. "...Probably sock him one in the face for walking out on not just me but his own wife." He shrugged and decided to move onto matters nicer. "Everyone has a few skeletons locked away in their cupboard eh? Life's nothing without a little drama." He laughed to himself as he watched Leonardo try to take some leftover food for himself. "Seems like you have quite the team of Pokemon on your hands. I've got a few more Pokemon on me but I prefer to keep them in their balls in case I need a quick getaway." He yawned and stood up and walked over to where Nadia was standing over the Pokemon. He smiled at the Leonardo and knelt down to pat him. "I bet your Squirtle's just extra hungry. You growing up big and strong right?" Mused Joey. He finished making a fuss of Nadia's Leonardo and slowly stood to look out to the sea. He shielded his eyes from the harsh rays of light and fell unexpectantly silent. "...H-Hey Nadia..." He stammered after seeing something he felt particularly disturbed about. "Why is the sea over there rising and sinking so rapidly like that?!" Asked Joey who was now getting more than a little shaken. "It's not some... Wailord come to squash us is it?!" He stopped acting cowardly, having put on an act and burst out with laughter. "A Wailord being here would be pretty funny though." He turned with his back to the sea and unbeknownst to him, it turned out to be a pretty big mistake. For the rising movement in the sea turned out to be a colossal wild Pokemon... A BEHEMOTH TENTACRUEL SURFACED FROM THE OCEAN...
...AND IT LOOKS AGGRAVATED! Joey crossed his arms and closed his eyes nonchalantly. "...I bet it's just some freak waves coming in. After all that wind earlier was blowing pretty heavily. Kept getting hair in my eyes." He carried on babbling as his Koffing gravitated slowly upwards in shock and awe at the size of the giant Tentacruel. He suddenly began inhaling as much air as possible to try and match Tentacruel's huge size. Joey eventually looked to see what Koffing was doing. "Koffing? What's up?"

OOC: This is for the readers. Here is some battle music song for you. ^^
"THAT THING IS WHAT'S UP!" Nadia said, spinning Joey back around and point to the large mother-*****ing Tentacruel. There was simply no other words for it other than that. What in the world is going on here? Is this now just Nadia's typical luck? From killer bear attacks to giant jellyfish of death and destruction, she was being cursed with something far worse than bad luck now. The Ursaring event wasn't even worth it from encountering Gary, the shiny Slugma. And it was highly doubtful that something wonderful would make up for this event, too.
"We've got to get out of here!" Nadia said to Joey, full and ready to dash. She was tugging on his arm very hard. "It'll be no use trying to fight something that size! They're not meant to get that big! It's some kind of mutant! We've got to run for it now!"
From the sight of the Tentacruel, Nadia's Pokemon reacted in their own way. Leonardo for one withdrew into his shell and was shaking. Chirps began to fly for cover. Katie had jumped up and began spatting at the Tentacruel with claws extended, growling deeply, and Gary tried to run away... kinda. He was slow. Very slow. Even at his max speed, he would probably cover about a meter within a minute. Or maybe he wasn't running. He didn't seem to scared... was he oblivious to the death jelly?

Joey watched as Nadia grabbed his arms in a terrified manner and in his own oblivious state turned very very slowly to realise what had just appeared behind him. "The hell is..." His eyes widened to the point it looked like they were about to pop out of his skull and the sudden realisation of fear spread quickly over Joey's being. "I'm with you! RUN!" He began legging it, making sure that Nadia was also running away by the time he had started. He also made extra sure to scoop up her Pokemon as they hurtled off, almost burning himself in the process from handling her Slugma. "That THING IS HUGE!" Exclaimed Joey, ever master of the obvious. They ducked behind some foliage that was on the beach and watched as the Tentacruel began eyeing around the sandy beach for something to inflict its wrathful anger upon.
Joey panted heavily and flinched at getting a better look at the Tentacruel. "What the hell are we gonna do?!" He paused suddenly as he began to realise something. "KOFFING!" He turned to see that Koffing was now floating around Tentacruel's head trying to lure it away from the trainers and also shooting noxious gases at it. Joey yelled to Koffing. "NO KOFFING COME BACK!" He looked to Nadia worriedly and cringed. "I can't believe I left him out there... There's only one thing for it." He brushed aside his leather jacket to reveal a trainer belt, holstering many of his Pokemon. In a hurried manner he began releasing them all to try and counter attack the monstrous Tentacruel.
Elekid, Charmeleon, Cyndaquil, Ditto and Meowth all popped out of their balls and almost fainted in fear over how big their opponent was. "Come on guys! Pull it together!" Charmeleon and Cyndaquil looked at one another fearfully, Tentacruel was a Water type Pokemon and could easily extinguish their life with its size alone. Ditto himself wobbled nervously and without Joey's approval returned to its Pokeball. Joey slapped his forehead and scowled. "Dammit Ditto...! Okay return Charmeleon and Cyndaquil. I don't want you guys getting hurt." He pointed to his remaining Pokemon and barked out his orders. "Guys! Help Koffing escape away! If not he'll be swatted like a common housefly!" His Pokemon nodded cautiously as they didn't want to lose their friend so they dashed off courageously.
Joey slumped to a tree that was next to them and looked blankly at the floor. "That thing is..." He stopped and suddenly regained his composure. "Nadia, if you remain here, will you be okay? I'm gonna try and rescue Koffing myself." He stood up and looked to the Tentracruel with fear and trepidation. A meek smile grew on his face as he took out a small unused Pokeball. "Maybe even catch it too!" His smile soon vanished however, as the sandy floor beneath them seemed to be almost moving in response to Joey's jest! "Woah woah woah! Back the hell up! Why is this MOV--" Joey had little time to finish as one of Tentacruel's barbed tentacles shot up from the sandy floor beneath them. "NOOOOO!" Joey sidestepped out the way and tackled Nadia out of harm's reach of the poisonous stingers. "This isn't very safe!!" He yelled as the tentacle wailed around searching for its prey.

After being tackled to the ground and enjoying a nice sandwich, Nadia spat out the remains of her unexpected meal and replied back to Joey. "To answer your "will you be okay here" question, I think that Tentacruel just gave us our answer right there. I think it is a big no."
Nadia looked up, still trying to spit some of the sand out of her mouth. Just what the hell is that thing...? A Tentacruel that seems to have crawled out from a nightmarish fairy tale, that's for sure. Come to think of it, where had she heard of such a large creature? Back when in the days where men of the sea still had to rely completely on the wind for transport of their ships, there were rumors of beats known as krakens... giant squid or octopus like monsters. Well, mystery solved. Now we know where such rumors originated from.
"Running won't help..." She muttered. Looking to her Pokemon, there doesn't seem to be much they really could do! With such a massive body, almost any attack would bounce right off of it! And since this thing had already proven that it can extend its tentacles through tough ground, its muscle mass had to be unbelievably off the chart as well. Trainer's school prepped students with so many possibilities and how to react in certain situations. The lessons on what to do if you're stung by a Tentacool don't seem to be looking too promising now.
"There won't be a way to run away from that thing easily." Nadia said to Joey, eyes focused on the Tentacruel and ducking now and again as the giant stinger rushes overhead. "That thing will scarf us down before we get the chance to be out of sight. And direct attacks will probably be useless..." She turns to look at Joey with a scared, yet determined look in her face. "Quick! Tell me! Does that Elekid of yours know something like Thunder Wave? If we want to get out of here alive, we'll need to work together and inflict what statuses on it that we can!"

Joey, in a panic-stricken manner, began to think over his Pokemon moves and began sweating profusely. "Elekid does know one super effective move which would be Shockwave... Otherwise..." He gulped. "All my other Pokemon only really know Poison inducing status problems." He looked to the Tentacruel which was now vengefully swatting the Pokemon Joey had sent out to rescue Koffing. The inclusion of more pests to the massive Tentracruel infuriated him further and provoked him enough to use the myriad of tentacles at his disposal to try and smite them. Joe grimaced as his Pokemon were being smashed around thoroughly. He cracked the knuckles on his fingers one by one almost as a way to calm himself down enough to think clearly. "If we run away there is a chance Tentacruel will follow us on land and wreck havoc on mainland Johto." He clenched his eyes shut and after a moment of awkward tension a light bulb almost materialised above his face. "AHA! I have just the thing! While walking through Cherrygrove earlier I came across a trainer that was being far too harsh and abusive towards their Pokemon so..." He looked at Nadia, unsure as to whether or not she'd approve. "...I stole it away from them." He reached in his trainer bag and pulled out a rather mesmerising ball, decorated with many mystical patterns. "I've never even SEEN a Pokemon like this before. Because of this I'm kinda thinking he could be extremely powerful... I only spoke to him once though and he barely responded to me which isn't all that surprising." He extended the Pokeball's safety catch and sent out the unknown Pokemon. The light dazzled the two trainers for a moment but the silhouette of a small Pokemon eventually came into visibility. "Okay Riolu, I know you don't see particularly eye to eye with me but you have to save our Pokemon and Cherrygrove from this Tentacruel!" Despite Joey's impassioned pleas for help, the Riolu turned its head and crossed its arms in protest. "Grr... He's a tough one." A heavy crash over by the beach stole their attention. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" Joey looked over from above the foliage and gasped as he noticed a tentacle had literally just smashed a Pokemon with the sheer force of a travelling meteorite into the sandy beach. "N-No..." He squinted his eyes and clenched his fists. "Nadia. I can't wait around here any longer. I need to rescue my Pokemon." He jumped over the foliage and gave her a parting wave. "Don't worry, i'll do everything I can to subvert his attention from here." His gaze moved from Nadia to Riolu. "Not gonna help?" The Riolu turned its head even further away and sniffed. "Suit yourself." Sighed Joey as he dashed off to try and do something. ANYTHING. OOC: I think the Riolu might look up to you Nada.

Nadia ran along side Joey, but she wasn't going to let him go very far. Since she pulled herself up and hauling Leonardo under her arm, Gary just trailing behind at a dopey pace as usual with Katie still spatting about, she grabbed his shoulder and got him right by the ear, too. "Kid," she said, ignoring the age difference between them. "I'm not the champion of the Indigo Plateau, but rushing in there without a plan will surely get not only your Koffing killed, but you as well! What we need to do is... disarm it! If we can't find a weakness, let's just make one instead!"
Putting herself between the Tentacruel and the thief trainer, she didn't care now that she was scared to death of this thing. Yeah, her entire body was trembling and if bladder was full, she'd probably need a fresh bikini long ago. In an attempt to try to gain composure in this life or death situation with what limited reaction time she had (which was more than one-sixtieths of second unlike her last "fateful" encounter), she could think something out... what if this Joey character was Patrick, her younger brother? She mused to herself this and is letting it all go from there. In her mind, she is pretending Joey is her little brother! So reckless and in need of protection... this is why she put herself in front. This is letting her need of guiding her brother to work for the better so they can all get out of this alive.
"Katie, you're eager enough!" Nadia looked down at her Skitty. "You want at Tentacruel so badly?! Well, go and get 'em! I want you to give me your best Fake Out as you can! We need to throw it off balance!"
With a mighty objectionable finger forward and the shouting command of Fake Out, Katie had given one last good hiss and spat and growl at the Tentacruel before sprinting right at it. The little Skitty was a complete dwarf in comparison to Tentacruel, but she made excellent use of her natural cat reflexes. She jumped onto one tentacle, then bound to another. Careful and quick not to be swat off, she climbed through the cast sea of poisoned barbs to meet the Tentacruel eye-to-eye... literally! With a mighty jump, she extended harsh claws and teeth glinting in the light to deliver a speedy daredevil Fake Out square in Tentacruel's eye!

Joey rubbed his ear after Nadia had handled it to grab his attention and had a sudden surge of ideas flow through his head. "Hm... You're right. Guess I was being a tad reckless, no? If you've got a plan to disarm it..." He smirked and looked at the Tentacruel. "I shall have to combine my efforts to your cause!" Emboldened by Nadia's courage, Joey too felt a surge of bravery to confront the gigantic Tentacruel no matter how close to death they were from it's destructively rampant tentacles. Noticing Nadia had ordered her Katie to perform a Fake Out attack Joey clapped his hands together.
"I see your Pokemon knows Fake Out. In that case, allow my Meowth to double the efforts of our combined assault. With two Fake Outs hitting it from all angles it'll certainly flinch no matter how beastly in size it is." Joey looked on as Katie carried out her Fake Out flawlessly, landing a quite painful looking blow to the Tentacruel's eye. Joey turned to his Meowth a split second later on impact and yelled out his orders. "MEOWTH! Follow up Katie's Fake Out with your own!" Meowth was about to jump off in eagerness from his trainers passionate orders but halted as Joey continued on. "AND BE SURE TO GET THE OTHER EYE!" Meowth hissed loudly at the oversized gelatinous blob and tried its best to approach the Tentacruel. It was no use however as the Tentacruel, although partially blinded, was now causing absolute mayhem on the sand bed with its many appendages.
Joey growled and looked at Meowth. "Hang on buddy, Joey's gonna help ya!" With that Joey departed from Nadia's side and ran towards his Meowth. Meowth looked up to Joey confusedly but it soon became clear to the Pokemon what he was going to do. Joey's arms scooped up the Meowth, who instinctively rolled into a ball. With a forceful swing of his arms, he slung Meowth towards Tentacruel's other eye. The cat Pokemon sped through the air and hurtled directly at it while meowing in fear of its life. It wasn't long before he reached his destination and rolled out of his ball, arms flying around in a frenzy, with his claws extended. If there was one thing Meowth knew how to do, it was Fake Out. He was pretty good at making himself look intimidating by going absolutely crazy onto his target.
The Tentacruel tried to manoeuvre its lengthy tentacles to swat the frenzied Meowth out of its way but instead tied up part of its many arms up. As the tentacles tied together neatly, Meowth impacted on the Tentacruel's remaining eye. His claws did not slash deep into the skin but instead, Meowth made a large clap of his paws and made the Tentacruel shut its eyes fearfully. What manner of pests would dare try such subvert tactics to this mighty Tentacruel?! The kraken roared and head butted the Meowth back to the beach.
"Alright, Nadia! Our Pokemon unleashed a dual Fake Out. That's more than enough to have made it flinch. I'm gonna try and hit it with my heavy weight resident powerhouse now." Joey looked to Elekid and clenched his fists while swinging them around. "Elekid, Tentacruel's disadvantaged to your Electric typing! You know what this means right?" Elekid buzzed affirmatively and without further command began increasing the voltage in his body. "SHOCKWAVE!!" Elekid complied and having charged up thoroughly beforehand, held his fists together and called forth a large ball of electricity which he then jammed at the main body of the Tentacruel. It reacted violently to the electrifying shot and in response, swatted Elekid deftly. "ELEKID! NO!" Joey ran over to his Pokemon and cradled him in his arms having picked him up from the sandy crater he was crushed into.

This Tentacruel was proving to be very dangerous... but with a loss of concentration, it had began to flail around quite a bit. This made its attacks much more chaotic and harder to avoid. Yet it made them hit a little less hard... at least just a tiny bit. But they only had so much time before the Tentacruel could regain its stance and untangle itself. And their dual Fake Out probably won't work as well. Katie returned back to Nadia's side, continuing on what it was doing of hissing and trying to be as intimidating as possible.
Nadia looked around, trying to think of what to do. Leonardo was still huddled inside his shell and shaking badly, moaning a bit. Even if he wasn't so scared, he didn't seem to have any particularly useful moves for this situation. And Cheeky... oh man, God knows where Cheeky flew off to. She wouldn't blame the bird for flying for his life. He barely knew Nadia, so he wasn't quite in the place to try to fight something like this. This left with just Gary... the dopey little slug. Rare for being silver colored, but the weakest and slowest member of Nadia's party. All he could do was cough up some poison clouds known as Smog, and Yawn.
...yawn?
That was it!
"Gary!" Nadia shouted to her silver slug. He was still approaching forward toward the Tentacruel, oblivious to everything around him. He wasn't much further past Nadia at this point, and in about ten minutes, he'd be six inches closer to his death by Tentacruel. Give another... oh, five years, he might finally meet up with it if it decided to just sit there the entire time. "You're our ace! Quickly! While Tenacruel is flinching, you need to use your Yawn! We'll then take it from there!"
Nadia then placed a finger on her head and began to think deeply. She shut her eyes tight and tried to figure everything out about their situation as she could. So many things and such overwhelming shenanigans, the wrong choice may as well be their last words to be carved on their tombstones. As she thought, Gary heeded his trainer's orders... at his own. Sweet. Pace. Still continuing his sludge forward, his eyes began to droop slightly. He would now and again shut them in a tired manner, now and again opening his mouth ever so slightly like he were to yawn a yawn that just wouldn't come out. Let us count the times of the false alarm yawns: One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Five false alarm yawns. Each time you'd feel like choking the Slugma for not pulling through with it. But on attempt number six, eyes were closed and mouth were wide open as he let out a magnificent... yawn. Little white clouds poofed forth from his mouth and nostrils that traveled at a much quicker rate than Gary himself and found their way to Tentacruel. It circled around the killer jellyfish of doom and revolved around the big hunking nose before going up a nasal passage to make the Yawn a slow but nevertheless a success.
"What about that Koffing...?" Nadia said to herself.
