It is a nice partly cloudy day with a gentle breeze. The crowds are in the stands waiting for the signal for the race to start. Some of the crowd is in their fanciest outfits while some look like they just got done with a shift in the local factory. The announcement for the racers to line up has been issued. The jockeys with their mounts walk up into the stalls and position themselves. One of the officials is at the starting line with a flash gun held up. A man in a white suit walks into the lane with a microphone.
"Welcome one and all to the August running of our Gogoat Race. It been a while since we had a race and the weather couldn't be any better. I hope you all enjoy the race!"
The announcer walks back into the stands as he nods at official with the gun.
As the moderator for this race, I do wish Tarlar , Sloane Siltstone , Jenesis , Caramell 🍬 , and Calamity Ashe the best of luck and fast responses for this race. Lamont wants me to remind you all about rule #2b about keeping track of your own count. I will remind you of rule 5 about calculations being correct or face disqualification.
