"Is that all you got little water chick thing? Couldn't your trainer teach you something better? What about a little sand in your eye, huh huh? Can you hit what you can't see? You can give up and go home or become a meal for me and my brothers and sisters. You are a weak excuse for a Pokemon."
The pidgey scratches the ground to get some dirt loose and tosses into the face of the Piplup. The pidgey laughs at the opponent and how weak this one seems to be. After the sand hits the opponent, Pidgey flies up and gets close to the human's face and caws at her. With the laugh, Monroe tries to locate the target but the sand is too much and by the time the attack launches, the pidgey had already moves over it and facing the trainer. "Shut up!" Monroe yelled out at the Pidgey, using her short wings to make an attempt to wipe the sand out from her eyes. She thought that the Pidgey could not become any more annoying, but the dull brown bird seem to be proving her to be wrong.
"H-hey! Get away from me!" Platinum shouted out to the Pidgey, watching the tiny bird Pokemon make is way over towards her and harassing her with its loud cawing. Brenton immediately galloped over to his trainer's side, letting out a threatening snarl as he kicked up his front legs in an attempt to scare the Pidgey away from his trainer.
Monroe soon stopped fighting with the sand in her eyes for a quick second to listen to what was going on around her. Could it be? The stupid bird had made an attempt to attack her trainer? Ohh, that Pidgey was going to get it now! "Hey! You wanna be chicken! Leave my trainer out of this and fight me or else I'm going to attack those that are dear to you, too! After I'm finished kicking your feathery-butt!" She shouted out at her opponent before firing another Water Pulse into its direction. Hopefully, luck would be on her side and the attack would hit its mark.

The dull brown feathered avian rose up on the winds as the fiery cream-colored horse galloped over and reared up on its hind legs. As much as the bird’s inner rage and quiet worries dug at it from inside, causing it to want to lash out at the human and her Pokemon companions, the tenacity of the fire horse would keep it at bay. The small sparrow gave a loud, shrill chirp and dove up high into the air to avoid Brenton’s hooves before they could manage to land any serious strikes and turned its attention back to the sanded blue penguin that lay – from the Pidgey’s perspective - at its mercy below. “Look at you!” It cawed loudly and stretched out its wings at either side of its body as it cawed. “You’re not even a real bird, are you?! Can you fly? Can you soar up to the heavens above? Do your wings ever know the feeling of the soft clouds caressing them as you soar? You’re a ground-dweller, aren’t you? Stuck – much like your inferior companions – to the ground below.” It smirked, then looped-de-looped through the air dramatically and came crashing back down to earth with a powerful tackle. As Monroe fired pulsating shot after pulsating shot of water beams at her opponent, the Pidgey would swoop around dramatically in the air, causing her opponent to just miss it each time. The Pidgey laughed with a loud caw and shook its head as it searched for Platinum once more, narrowing its scopes on the metallic-eyed trainer, though cautiously waited for the right moment to strike. Brenton had proved at least once before that going after Platinum without a game plan was a bad idea. Monroe's round face soon grew bright red after hearing the Pidgey down talking her wings and ability to fly. "Hey! I don't need to fly! I'm a great swimmer and unlike you, I don't have to run and hide when the weather turns cold! What good are those dull wings of yours if you can't even fly in the cold!" She rebutted, her short wings will flailing around in the air. Pip-lup!" She yelled out the moment she felt the Pidgey develop a strong tackle to her stomach, which knock her azure body down onto the ground and caused her to roll over to her trainer. The Piplup slowly pulled herself back up onto her feet. Her small legs somewhat wobbling as she fought against the pain and attempted to stand her ground for another attack.
"I'm sorry, Monroe, but this isn't working." Platinum sighed, taking out Monroe's Poke Ball and returning her back inside of the red and white orb. She would then grab another Poke Ball and toss it high into the air. "Harlow use Pound!" She commanded the gorgeous and graceful Lopunny. Harlow did a quick ear flip before dashing towards her opponent at full speed with a shimmering white light coating her powerful fist.
Platinum soon felt Monroe's Poke Ball start to shake and within seconds, the Piplup managed to break out of her orb and materialize right in front of her trainer. "I'm done down that with faded out turkey yet!" Monroe shouted, attempting to make a run towards the battlefield. Luckily, Monroe was able to reach out and grab her.
"No, no, Monroe. We're not going to do that at all. You've had your chance, its time for Harlow to shine right now. Don't worry, you'll get another chance later." She stated, carefully pulling Monroe closer inside of her arms before giving her a gentle hug to her Pokemon's dislike for affection.
Monroe was returned! Harlow was sent out! Harlow used Pound on Pidgey!

At the mention of cold, the pidgey paused and make a quick swoop back towards its nest in the tree, it was reassuringly to see that the two eggs were still there although it would need to return to them and warm them up soon. The year was getting close to its end and the real cold would come soon. It wasn't free to return to its nest with dangers this close, it had to chase them off first before it could return to tend to its offspring. "What are you talking about? I'm not running from the cold! I'm living here even in winter and I'm doing just fine!" It retorted proudly, its feathers was already thickening and it had build some good fat reserves as preparation. The biggest challenge this year was to keep the young chicks alive but it didn't doubt it could do that. "Pfh, swimming is a poor excuse and does by no way give you the freedom as flying does. You can only swim if there is water, while you can fly everywhere, and see magnificent sights! Splashing in water can be nice on a hot day, but you can't see much as its all murky and dark, so what is the fun in that?" It grinned, it had seen the ocean from above and tons of puddles, none had seemed tempting to spent time in other than the quick bath pidgeys took once in a while. The pidgey dived but flapped to a halt when Monroe disappeared in a flash and Harlow appeared instead. It only took it a moment to change its plans, the Sand Attack had worked so well last time it decided to use that again. It landed and threw sand at the lopunny who raced straight through it, ignoring the sting in her eyes. Pidgey's eyes widened in shock as it had not anticipated Harlow's speed and it was knocked back straight into the tree with its nest, not even getting time to worry about what would happen next. Monroe still was not pleased that she was not able to finish the job and take out that annoying Pidgey once and for all. However, she managed to calm herself down a bit to focus on Harlow and the Pidgey's fight against each other. Monroe hated to admit it, but she knew that the Lopunny would not have a challenging time taking out the Pidgey since Harlow is one of the strongest Pokemon on their team. "Eek! Stop it! You're messing up my gorgeous coat!" Harlow yelled out at the Pidgey as she rushed through the gust of sand being blown her way. Luckily, the swiftness of her movements was enough to shake off the majority of the dirt from her body. She raised her powerful fist and delivered a powerful punch to the Pidgey's body, knocking it back into the sturdy tree not too far away from them. "Ha, ha! That's what you get birdie!" Monroe chirped out, leaping out of her trainer's arms to perform a quick victory dance as if she had been the one to defeat the Pidgey. "I bet you'll think twice about starting a fight with others!" She added, waddling over to the Pidgey's body. Meanwhile, Platinum took a Poke Ball from out of her bag and tossed it into the direction of the fainted Pidgey. "Are you kidding me?! You want to catch this so-called bird, too?!" The Piplup questioned, glancing up at her trainer with a confused expression on her face. "It looks like my job is done here. Can I please go back to my Poke Ball?" Harlow asked her trainer between flipping one of her ears. Her keen eyes soon glancing away from Platinum and Monroe and over into the direction of the moving red and white orb. Would the capture be a success?
Harlow will not learn After You! Platinum used a Poke Ball. If possible, I would like to request Wild Pokemon or trainers that have Pokemon closer to Brenton's level (3). Usually its beige fur was a hindrance and the rattata hated that it was different from all its many siblings. Purple was great to make you disappear in dark shadows and blended well in with the buildings and human made colorful things when they were raiding the nearby town. It had heard the older ones in its flock express pity on it and the harsh life it would get, and while it was still young, it had already experienced it. It was usually targeted when they went on raids simply because it was easy to spot in the mass of purple bodies and more than once its flock would either have to protect it or it would have to run and lead the pursuers away to get rid of them. It had succeeded until now but there had been som close calls. The worst though was the continued pity and continued warnings from the older rattatas and that its siblings had begun to say they didn't want to have it around since it gave more troubles. But then the mist had seeped in between the trees and while the purple fur of the rattata's relatives didn't stand out, its own beige fur became almost invisible! It had discovered it when it accidently had surprised some of its older siblings when it had joined them after leaving the den this morning, they hadn't seen it coming. It had happened a few more times and then it had tested it out and had excitedly learned it could sneak around unnoticed as long as it kept a bit of distance and was quiet. The shiny rattata had finished the berry the shocked pidgey had left behind and licked its lips content. It sniffed and looked around in the hope of finding someone else it could use its newfound ability on, and perked its ears as it heard voices nearby. It ran in the direction and stopped just as it could see their figures in the white mist. A human! Humans meant food, what a lucky find! Smaller figures moved around as well which must be the human's pokemon but with how sneaky this rattata was, and how invisible it was in the mist it didn't worry about them at all. The rattata quietly moved closer and when the human bed down to pick up something round, it leaped at it. Berry! It was a big one too, but Rattata pushed the red and white "berry" out of Aphrodite's reach and felt her hand brush its back, that had been close! It pushed the "berry" away as fast as possible, just a bit more and it would be gone in the mist before the slow human would even understand what had happened! A Shiny Rattata [Lv 2] tries to grab the pokeball containing the pidgey. (ooc: trainer's you can't ask for other than the special trainers, and I don't really like tampering with the levels even for things like this as it technically gives you an unfair advantage and makes it easier to train the low leveled pokemon. This time you were just lucky with your roll, an you do both have the exp.share and can swift Brenton in as the last one as soon as he can survive a hit or two, just like everyone else has to A pokeball has been deducted.) Platinum bent over to retrieve the Poke Ball containing her newly captured Pidgey, only to feel her dainty fingertips brush up against what felt like soft fur. "Whoa!" The indigo-haired young lady shouted out, taking a few steps away from the beige-colored Pokemon. She took a few seconds to give her metallic-hued orbs enough time to focus on the Wild Pokemon guarding her Poke Ball. "A Rattata? This one looks a lot different from the one that I captured earlier." She pointed out, carefully inching a little closer towards the creature. "Uh, excuse me...I'm going to need that Poke Ball back." She told the Shiny Rattata, giving it a slightly warm and friendly smile.
Monroe on the other hand did not seem to be as patient as her trainer. The Piplup placed her small wings around her chest and puffed her chest as she stared at the Shiny Rattata. "Hey! You heard my trainer! Give her the Poke Ball back!" She shouted out, her ocean blue eyes attempting to make eye contact with the Wild Pokemon's eyes.
Unfortunately, the Shiny Rattata did not seem to be too threatened by Monroe's words, because it continued to push the red and white sphere further away from Platinum. "Of course...You Rattata are quite headstrong. I should not have expected you to give it back without a fight." Platinum sighed, shaking her head. Within seconds, the Shiny Rattata attempted to make a quick escape with her Poke Ball. Monroe would try her hardest to chase after the mouse, but her small feet would not allow her to move fast enough to catch up with it.
"Brenton! Stop that Rattata!" Platinum shouted out to her Ponyta. The fire horse nodded his head before sprinting towards the Rattata to cut off its steps then hit it with a Tackle. If successful, it should be enough to prevent the Shiny Rattata from making a clean escape with Platinum's Pokemon.

Rattata's ears twitched as Aphrodite talked but it didn't stop, the comment about looking different hit it though and it gave a little huff. Its look was what gave it all its trouble and it wasn't the first time it had heard a human notice it, although most sounded much more agitated than this one, who mostly sounded like she didn't believe it. Today was a different day though, the shiny rattata smirked. Just a little bit more and the mist would have swallowed it and leaving the human and her pokemon behind, blinded and unable to ever find it again. Rattata waved its tail in response to Monroe's threat, it had no idea what a pokeball was but it thought the piplup was just seeing badly and thought the 'berry' it was rolling off with, was that. It glanced back and saw the piplup fall behind even though it tried to catch up to it, "why should I do as your human says?" It couldn't help but mock. It was pleased to see that it had gotten a good distance and the human and the piplup was fading into the mist, itself must almost be invisible to them now! The human shouted and something flashed in a telltale red and yellow light, fire! The rattata gaped as a pokemon on fire came running through the mist, this was horrible! "Creek that way!" It screeched and pointed with a paw, the pokeball believed to be a berry momentarily forgotten. It hadn't experienced forest fires but it had seen campfires and it had been warned by the adults in its group, that it could spread and then you needed to go underground and wait it out. And it had seen a human using a pokemon to spit water on the small fire they had before they ventured on. "Watch out!" It screamed and tried to dodge and Brenton, surely blindly panicking from pain due to being on fire, raced straight at the rattata and knocked it over with his hooves. It rolled over the ground but ended up on its feet, its eyes widened when it realized that Brenton wasn't continuing towards the creek and it leaped forward and gave him a push in the right direction. "That way! Come on!" It screamed at him leaped past him, "follow me!" It said and raced off towards the creek. Monroe could hear the Rattata responding back to her words, but the small penguin-like POkemon could no longer locate the uniquely-colored mouse Pokemon with her eyes anymore due to the thick mist surrounding them. "Wa-wait! Where did you go? I can't see anything!" Monroe chirped out, turning her small neck from side to side as she continued to look for the thief.
"This mist is starting to become too much. We probably shouldn't stay out here too much longer, but first, we have to get that Poke Ball back from that Rattata." Platinum stated, bending over a bit to pick up Monroe. "MOst importantly, we need to stick together." She added, wrapping her arms around Monroe's body and pulling her even closer towards her body.
Despite the thick mist surrounding them, Platinum was able to notice her Ponyta's crimson flames blazing brilliantly up ahead of them. She went into a quick sprint to catch up with Brenton and the Rattata, being as careful as she could be not to slip or trip over any fallen branches or hidden boulders.
Brenton's attack was spot on, but the oddest thing happened with the Rattata. The mouse Pokemon did not appear to be upset with him for attacking it nor did it attempt to strike back. Brenton stood in front of the Shiny Rattata, staring at it for a bit as he listened to his opponent encourage him to follow it to the creek. "Huh? Why are you trying to lead me to the creek?" Brenton asked, tilting his head to the side. A few seconds passed before Brenton realized what was going on. "Hey! I'm not on fire...Well, I am...Nut I'm a fire type. So, it doesn't hurt." He explained a couple of chuckles escaping from his mouth.
Platinum and Monroe soon caught up with the Ponyta and Rattata. Monroe leaped from her trainer's arms becoming waddling over to pick up the Platinum's Poke Ball that the Rattata seem to have forgotten about. Meanwhlie, Platinum turned her attention towards Brenton and the Rattata. "Brenton use another Tackle!" She ordered her Pokemon. Trenton stopped chattering and charged at the Rattata.

The shiny rattata looks at the fire horse and wonders what a fire type is. It doesn't make sense for the horse to continue to let itself burn. "Look, I never seen anything like you but usually fire hurts and destroys things. This is why I want you to get into the creek as quick as possible so we can put out the fire and help you before you burn to death. Who set you on fire anyways? Did the human do it? If the human did, I would run from her as far as I could." As the shiny rattata tries to guide the burning horse, the human issues out an order and the burning horse obeys by kicking the rattata which infuriates it.
"Fine, I tried to help you but if you want a fight, you will get one."
The shiny rattata retaliates as it leaps up in the air and hits the ponyta in middle of the chest. The rattata is still a bit confused on what is going on.

The Shiny Rattata was not the only one feeling confused right now. A confused expression was shown over Brenton's face as he listened to the Rattata continue to persuade him to follow him towards the creek. "I'm starting to think that you might be out of your mind. I can't jump int the creek. I'm a fire-type! I'm weak against water! And don't talk like that about my trainer! She loves and cares about me!" Rrenton shouted out to his opponent.
A soft growl soon left the fire horse's mouth the second he felt the Shiny Rattata ram his small body into his chest. Brenton stumbled back just a bit but quickly managed to recover his footing against the ground as he waited for Platinum to give him his next command.
"I know that I captured a Rattata earlier, but I do not have one this color. I can't pass up an opportunity to catch this one. It has to be super rare." She spoke out, digging into her bag to retrieve an empty Poke Ball. Without any hesitation, she tossed the empty orb at the Shiny Pokemon.

Rattata paused to stare at Brenton when he said he couldn't go near water. "What?! But it's just water!" It exclaimed, "don't you drink sometimes too?" it added utterly confused. It was water for arceus sake, it was kept things green it had been told and yes it was annoying when you get wet in rain but that was all it could do really. The rattata had been told about some big amount of water which was close by but it hadn't seen the sea yet, and it had been told that that amount could be dangerous but so was a lot of other things too. "But.. but it's very small, you can't drown in it," it added as it tried to figure out why Brenton didn't want to come with it and get help, it hadn't connected idea that the fires was a part of Brenton, just like rattata's own tail and fur. "If she likes you, why doesn't she help you get that fire put out?" the shiny rat asked confused. Platinum arrived and the rattata backed off a bit and remembered the 'berry' it had snatched from her before, and it glanced around to try find it. It laid rather far away too close to Platinum although she didn't look like she had noticed it yet, all their attention was on it again and it didn't like it. It took a few more steps backwards, and decided that it was time to run off and then it could always come back and hope they hadn't found the "berry" so it could come back and pick it up. "I don't get it, but that's your choice," the rattata said, you couldn't help someone who didn't want to get helped. It spun around and leaped away but a pokeball hit it midair and sucked it in. The pokeball wriggled vigorously before it confirmed the capture with a clear ding. Rattata was caught! A small sigh of relief sounded off from Brenton's mouth, watching the Poke Ball make contact with the Shiny Rattata's body and absorb its body. At least the fire horse did not have to keep trying to explain to the small mouse that he cannot go into the stream. He was grateful that the Shiny Rattata showed so much concern for him and tried its rest to "save" him, but he did not need to be saved right now.
Platinum smiled, watching the jiggling red and white sphere come to a halt. "Ha! We just captured our first oddly colored Pokemon!" She shouted out with excitement, performing a quick dance to celebrate her victory. "I think that I'm going to call you...Gadget." She spoke with a smile, glancing down at the Poke Ball in her right hand before putting it away.
"Brenton, you did well for your first time battling against another Pokemon. You're only going to get stronger from this point on...Speaking of getting stronger...I wonder if there are any other trainers around here or is it that the cold is a little too much for them." She added, moving a little closer towards Rrenton and his fiery body to warm herself up a bit.

Not long after Platinum had collected her two newest pokemon, the shiny she just caught, and the pokeball it had attempted to run off with in the expectation it was edible, the mist began to be pushed away. Not by the sun, as this was late autumn so it was by heavy clouds which came with much, much lower temperatures, and soon snow began to float from the sky. As Platinum walked it covered the ground and crunched under her foot, it could have been nice and peaceful but the pokemon world, full of battles rarely was. "Faster!" A voice shouted, "you have to do better than that!" It did not sound supporting at all, and a faint call of a pokemon could be heard. "Hurry up!" The voice shouted and was this time a bit closer, crunching steps and flapping of wings was heard and then a spearow came soaring past and a chikorita crashed through a bush gasping for air. Her eyes locked on the bird and still running she swung her head around and leaves cut the bird midflight and sent it tumbling to the ground. A boy with dark red hair came running, shot Platinum a short glance, spotted his chikorita who was gasping for her, and scanned the area for the bird. He huffed when he saw it in the snow and he dismissed it looked at Platinum. "The name is Silver and my chikorita needs to toughen up, so I challenge you to a battle," he rambled off, clearly not caring about whom he had met, "you better have something more challenging that that one," he added and made a wave towards the bird who stirred a bit. His chikorita looked exhausted already and was shivering in the cold, but she stood obediently and waited to see what she should meet next. Silver wants to toughen up his grass type [Lv 13] and you happens to there just when he needed an opponent.
