The embers that flowed down from its fiery mane were lost without even a sizzle in the blanket of snow composing the strange scene. The browned footends didn't clip or clap with the softness of the flakes. Instead every step brought that plasticy crunch much like any of Harlow's as she made to race for another strike at the resilient Ponyta. "Watch out!" the Witch half cried from the safety of her post, ultimately useless beyond being a witness to the battle before her. Like earlier the pale horse suddenly zipped into high speed. Fires from both sides roared amidst the ripple of air about the two combatants. Ponyta managed a soft headbutt to the rabbit's side before receiving yet another solid flaming fist in its own. The equine grunted before kicking wildly to force distance between them once again. It certainly didn't like Harlow's punches, but it's hide was thick and it was able to shake off any residual flickers risking a burn. Ponyta snorted, nostrils flaring, and glared darkly at its furry opponent. It snorted again, though a little less forcefully this time. The longer it stared at the bunny from this close the more taken by her charms did it seem to be... "Have you... done it?" came a gasping mutter, the Witch putting a hand to her chin and daring to step out of cover for a moment. Ponyta noticed. The flaming horse shook his head rapidly and released another shrill neigh before rearing and striking the air. He was ready for more. Wild Encounter

Platinum and Harlow were both caught off guard a bit upon hearing the mysterious witch attempting to warn them with her screeching voice. Perhaps Harlow was a little too overly confident at the start of the battle, but the Ponyta quickly humbled her with its speed. A soft cry escaped from the rabbit's mouth as she felt Quick Attack ram into her side and knock her back a bit. "Harlow, hang in there! We can't afford to be distracted again!" Platinum called out to her Pokemon. Harlow recovered her balanced and nodded her head in agreement before shifting her dark eyes into the direction of the Ponyta.
"Let's keep the fire going, Fire Punch!" Platinum commanded her Pokemon. She thought about switching up her tactic a little bit but decided against it due to not wanting to make a mistake by choosing an attack that would not be effective on the Ponyta since she did not know its true typing. She at least knew that Harlow's Fire Punch manages to do a rather decent amount of damage to their opponent.
Harlow tightened the silk scarf around her neck before dashing off in route of the Ponyta with her powerful fists blazing with flames yet again.

"Hm, not just yet. Perhaps one or two more and the beast will calm." The witch watched on thoughtfully, as the fight continued. Platinum had chosen a good matchup against the rampaging Ponyta. The Ponyta shook out his mane as Harlow ran in for another fiery punch, and he quickly dashed in to retaliate with an attack of his own, with yet another burst of speed. His mane and tail flickered and flared behind him, blowing about in the wind. The Ponyta lowered his head as he got closer to his target, and rammed his head into Harlow's stomach Harlow's Fire Punch connected with the Ponyta's flank as he recoiled from his own attack. The punch grazed along its hide and the Ponyta flung himself around to gallop away, putting some more distance between the two. With some space back between them, he reared up with a bray and slammed his hooves into the snow, kicking up a puff of white powder. He pawed at the ground, ready to go again. Wild Encounter

Platinum nodded her head at the witch's words. "You hear that, Harlow? Just a couple o hits and it should calm down!" Platinum shouted to her Pokemon. The Lopunny simply nodded her head and kept her focus on her opponent. The fire horse has managed to prove itself to be a worthy opponent for her.
A low growl escaped from Harlow's mouth the second she felt the Ponyta rammed into her stomach. She could feel herself starting to become angry with all of the blows to her precious body, but she managed to keep her cool. "Harlow! You know what to do! Fire Punch!" Platinum called out to her Pokemon.
Harlow ignited her powerful fists with blazing flames yet again as she rushed towards the Ponyta, hoping to punch it with all of her might to knock it out.

The fire pony's eyes widened and what looked like fear shined from its brown hazel eyes as it saw the fire engulf Harlow's paw. Then it shook its head as if getting rid of some stupid thought and it snorted while stomping the ground, glancing at its flaming tail. Then it was off, sending the snow flying from its hoof as it thundered over the ground. It smacked into Harlow, sending her staggering back but she came around and hit it on the flank with her Fire Punch. The ponyta flailed as it was punched out of balance and landed in the snow with a pluff. A crooked hand grasped Platinum's arm, it was the witch who had somehow managed to get to her side without a sound. "Look closely! You see?!" The Witch hissed and dragged Platinum closer while pointing at the ponyta in the snow. It was awake, and its eyes were glazed with confusion. The snow didn't melt around it more, instead it began to shiver as if the cold bothered it. "You see? It's eyes! They are not ponyta eyes! And its ears! They don't have green tips which looks like leaves!" The Witch pointed out and the 'ponyta' blinked when she mentioned its eyes, and wiggled its ears and looked up as if trying to see them when those where mentioned. The Witch gasped, "look at its paws!" She looked intently at Platinum while the 'ponyta' stared confused at its paws. "You can see this one cannot be a ponyta, right? Right?! Just say yes!" The Witch urged frantically. The moment Platinum did agree, the Witch sighed with relief and the 'ponyta' stared at her wide eyed and then down at its paws, it jerked as it remembered and in a split second it changed form, its ears and tail became long and leafy, and its fiery mane curled up to a green leaf on top of its head. "Meow," the leafeon mewed happily and staggered to its feet, which like its eyes looked the same as when it had been a ponyta. It took an unsteady step forward and the Witch huffed annoyed. "Stop that nonsense!" She snapped and grapped the leafeon's front paws, and pulled it up on its hind legs, "you are really confused! Try to remember! Why are you mewing?" She asked and looked expectantly at it, it mewed questioningly again. Then its edged shimmered and it took yet another form, one of a meowth with long green ears and long green tail. It grinned and relaxed, this felt right, finally. It ran a paw over its face and twitched its nose, then it ran agile to Platinum and began to purr and rub itself up against her leg. "You did it, you helped it through its confusion," The witch said kindly and looked questioningly at Platinum, "what do you say? Do you want to help it grow too?" Harlow keeps saving the day and grows +3 levels to [LV 19]!  Monroe did all she could and gain 1 level making her [Lv 11]! She can learn Charm if she forgets another move.  Brenton learned something watching its weird kin and grows 1 level to [LV 8]  What's this?! Ponyta turned out to be a leafeon? Can that be true?  The 'leafeon' looks rather weird and upon a closer inspection turns out to be a meowth in a costume! One final Fire Punch from Harlow was enough to knock out the mysterious Ponyta. A deep sigh of relief escaped from Platinum's mouth as she watched the fire horse Pokemon fall down onto the snow-white ground in defeat. "You did it, Harlow. Awesome! You can return now and hopefully, I won't have to disturb you again." Platinum stated with a few chuckles as she returned her Lopunny back into her Poke Ball.
"Whoa!" Platinum shouted out, completely startled by the eccentric witch reaching out to grab her arm. "You know...I wish you would stop freaking me out." She sighed, shaking her head then turning her attention towards the Ponyta. "You're right. I noticed those ears right away after looking at my own Ponyta." She stated, glancing over at Brenton then back over at the odd Ponyta. "So, is there like a grass-type Ponyta?" She questioned the witch. Platinum had heard that there were Ponyta of a different typing. However, she never heard of one being a grass type. She had turned her attention back toward the Wild Pokemon just in time to see it transform. "What the...What kinda Halloween trick is this? I'm starting you think that this is just some kind of prank at this point." She mumbled to herself before taking a few careful steps towards the Pokemon.
"A Leafeon? Aren't they pretty rare? I've actually never heard of anyone encountering one in the wild...Oh, well... I should probably scan it with my Pokedex." She stated, taking out her Pokemon and aiming it in the direction of the Leafeon.
"Error! Unidentified Pokemon." The Pokedex replied before shutting down. "What...An unidentified Pokemon?" She questioned turning her attention back towards the "Leafeon" only to see that it had changed its appearance once again.
Platinum was even more confused than before, but that did not stop her from accepting the witch's offer. "Yeah, sure. I suppose that I could take it along with me." She stated with a soft smile, glancing down at the unique Pokemon.
Monroe will forget Growl and learn Charm!

The witch smiled as Platinum agreed to take the costumed Meowth. She was satisfied that it would be taken care of. "You did well, young lady. You appeased the Pokemon and tamed it. I knew you were the right one for the job. Now you have another loyal Pokemon for your team. I hope you treat it well, the poor thing has been through a lot." The witch looked thoughtful for a moment, hand on her chin. It looked like she was about to say something more, when some bushes nearby rustled, and out popped an overly excited young boy. "Whoa, that was so cool! How did you do that?" The young boy came running towards Platinum after she captured the Meowtheon, wide smile on his face. He bounced up and down on the tips of his toes in excitement, almost slipping over on the snowy ground. "I've never seen a Pokemon like that before! I wish I had a transforming Pokemon like that." A Pidgey sat perched on the boy's shoulder, and squawked unhappily at the child's loud voice. "Hey miss, can we have a battle? We should totally battle! If I can beat a cool trainer like you, I'll be able to get to the league in no time." The Pidgey squawked once more, flapping its wings to get airborne at its trainer's mention of a battle. It was ready and rearing to go. If Platinum tried to look for the witch again, she had already left during the boys distraction. Youngster Mikey and his Pidgey [Level 5] would like to battle. Platinum smiled back at the mysterious witch and nodded her head in response to her positive feedback. "Thank you so much for believing in us." She stated, glancing away from the witch them over towards her Pokemon. When the witch first approached her with her odd request, Platinum was unsure if her Pokemon would be able to defeat the Pokemon and save it from whatever was going on inside of it. Luckily with a lot of encouragement and observation, her team was able to walk away with a win. "I'll be sure to take care of it." She stated with a soft smile before taking out a Poke Ball and tossing at the unique Meowtheon.
Without warning, a young trainer approached Platinum with loads of excitement ringing through his voice. Apparently, the little boy observed her Pokemon battle against Meowtheon. "Oh, thank you. It is a pretty cool Pokemon, isn't it?" She replied with another warm smile.
It was not long before the little boy put on his brave face and challenged Platinum to a battle. "Well, I did come out here to train my Pokemon. A battle against another trainer does sound pretty nice right about now. Of course, I accept your offer to battle." She replied, glancing over at Monroe. It was her Piplup's time to shine this time.
"Monroe use Bubble!" She commanded her Pokemon.

The young trainer was giddy and excited to have the chance to battle such a strong and capable trainer. He hopped back and forth of his feet and balled the ends of his bright yellow T-shirt in his fists on either side of his face. The dull brown feathers avian chirped and squawked at her trainer. He hopped of his trainer’s shoulders and flew up into the air on the tips of her wings while she whistled angrily at her trainer, whose admiration for the other trainer’s Pokemon had him too smitten to see his own Pokemon’s distaste. How dare his human trainer want any other Pokemon but him!? “Oh thank you, thank you! Feathers, we have a real challenge here!” He proclaimed excitedly. The brown feathered Pidgey’s eyes widened, and he huffed angrily from up high in the air. The small bird soared over to a large branch that was at least twenty-six feet above the ground. As Pidgey turned around to face his trainer and Platinum’s team from the safety of the tree, he crossed his wings angrily over his chest. “How about you battle their Pokemon. They’re so much better and cooler than me, after all!” He huffed and puffed at the top of his lungs. Mikey gripped his bright blue baseball cap pulled it off of his head as he craned his vision up to the skies above. “Aw, c’mon! Don’t be like that! You’re plenty strong, don’t be scared!” Mikey called up to his bird from way below on the ground. Monroe wasted no extra to take the prime opportunity to attack. The bright blue penguin spat out thick layers of bubbles that shot from its mouth and pelted its way all the way up the trunk of the tree. Every inch, every branch, and every leaf. Why, Monroe left absolutely nothing untouched, as he fired away at the top of his beak. Eventually, he managed to fire his bubbles high into to hit the bird with such a fierce assault, it would knock feathers out of the tree to plummet to the ground. But, the brown feathered avian would catch itself just before it hit the ground and soar over to Monroe, ramming into the other Pokemon with a powerful Tackle. “Take that, ya big bully!” He huffed and puffed. Platinum placed her hands over her mouth and giggled at the interaction between the youngster and his Pokemon. "Does those two remind you of someone, Monroe?" She giggled a little more, glancing down at her Piplup. Out of all of the Pokemon on her team, Platinum often finds herself bickering with her water-type Pokemon the most.
The Piplup chuckled along with her trainer for a few seconds before shifting her attention towards the normal/flying type Pokemon. "Hey! Stop playing around and come and fight me!" She shouted out to the Pidgey, flapping her tiny wings with hopes of getting her opponent's attention. It was not until Monroe fired off an array of bubbles that the Pidgey switched its attention from his trainer and over to the small penguin-like Pokemon.
The Pidgey retaliated with a quick Tackle. Monroe made an attempt to block the attack, but her attempt was unsuccessful. The Tackle made contact with the Piplup and almost caused her to lose her balance. "Ha! I barely felt that! You're going to have to hit me a lot harder than that if you want to beat us!" Monroe shouted out to the Pidgey.
"Monroe, finish this with another Bubble!" Platinum commanded her Pokemon.

"This is so cool, I get to battle a real strong trainer! The others wont believe me!" Mikey chattet to himself, his eyes shining with excitement. Apparently that was more important to him than the strange changing pokemon he had witnessed a moment before. "That was such cool a tackle Feathers! You have never done it better! We can win this!" He shouted to his pidgey whose sour expression eased a bit. "Do it again!"Feathers glared down at Monroe as he circled the piplup, "you shouldn't talk, you can't even fly with those useless wings. If you can't fly, what use are you? I don't get what Mikey sees in you and your trainer," the pidgey sulked and a swift bubble from Monroe made it quiet as it dropped to the ground. "Aw man, now it went so well," Mikey said disappointed and recalled his bird. A smile slowly spread on his face, "but now the real battle starts! Isn't that what they always say?" He held out a pokeball in his hands. "I have seen real gym battles on the tv and in 'Champion' Oakley always saves his best for last and then wins it all! Did you see when he beat evil Gomory? That was so cool!" Mikey's hand with the pokeball dropped to his side again, "are you going to be a champion like Oakley? And using that pokemon you just got as your last one?" He asked and looked curiously at Platinum. He then would remember he was in a battle and lifted the pokeball again, "but now you'll see my best! Go Blaziken!" He shouted and out jumped.. a familiar looking purple rat. "One day I'll beat the whole league and be the Champion with really cool pokemon, but first I'm going to beat you!" Mikey declared as he pointed at Aphrodite. The rattata looked determined and calm at Monroe. Monroe won without a sweat and grows 1 level to [Lv 12] Brandon watched closely and grows +1 level to [LV 9]  Mikey is not done yet and sends in his rattata Blaziken [LV 5] in next. (ooc: Monroe has 34/38 HP after level up)

Platinum smiled watching the younger trainer compliment his Pokemon's attack and encourage the Pokemon to continue to work hard in the battle. Unfortunately for Youngster Mikey, Feather would not be able to deliver another Tackle to Monroe. The Piplup's powerful Bubble managed to take down the Pidgey.
"Nice job hitting your target, Monroe!" Platinum called out to her Pokemon, giving her a thumbs up. The Piplup let out a cheerful chirp before poking out her chest in a prideful manner. "Keep fighting like that and I'm sure that we're going to walk away with another win!" Platinum added with a wide smile.
Mikey withdrew his Pidge and replaced it with an all too familiar purple mouse-like Pokemon. "Eh, I haven't thought too much about becoming a Champion, but I suppose that it would be a Champion...So, Oakley is the Champion for the Johto Region?" She questioned, not having any previous knowledge about the Champion of the region. "Also, I think that I'm going to keep battling with Monroe. She can use some more experience. She's one of my newest Pokemon." She replied with another smile.
Platinum's metallic eyes widen with both shock and fear when she heard her opponent mention a powerful fire-type Pokemon like Blaziken. Despite Monroe having the type advantage, Platinum was not confident that Monroe would be able to take down a fully evolved Pokemon. "A-a...Bl-Blaziken?" She struttered a bit. Even the bold and courageous Monroe found herself feeling slightly uneasy about the mention of a fully evolved Pokemon.
Mikey soon withdrew his Pidgey and replaced it with an all too familiar purple mouse-like Pokemon. "Oh, goodness. You nearly gave me a scare, Mikey." She giggled, placing her hand over her heart for a few seconds. A sigh of relief left from Monroe's beak and she immediately regained her confidence back.
"Let's make this one a quick one, too. Water Pulse!" Platinum commanded her Pokemon.

"I know my rattata doesn't look like the fire bird man but it is still a cool name. I did see an actual fight with a real blaziken on TV once and always liked the name ever since. Maybe one day, along my champion path, I will own a real blaziken. All right, my purple Blaziken, use your strongest tackle." Before the normal looking rattata could react to the command, a small ring of water comes at him. The ring hit so hard it sent the rattata flying back several feet. Some of the weaker part of the ring even got Mikey's feet wet and pushed him back enough to where he almost loses his footing. At the last minute he is able to grab a small branch and regain his balance. Once he is able to walk, he goes over to look at his rattata. He picks up the Pokemon in his arms and walks back towards Platinum. When he gets a couple of feet in front of her, he lays the knocked out rattata and recalls it with the Pokeball. He then looks up at Platinum with the same excitement as before. "Oh yeah, that was AWESOME!! I never knew such a powerful move existed. My ankles got a little wet and I almost slipped on the ice. That move must have been the most powerful move your Pokemon has available. I guess I owe you some money for the experience of this battle." Mikey reaches into his pocket and pulls out some wadded damp money. He hands Platinum $300 and then raises his arms as if he was the one who won the fight. "You better be training more because before you know it, you will be seeing me on the TV being crowned this region's champion!!"
Monroe gains +1 level, 12 -> 13 Brenton watches and enjoys the show learning that names aren't always true. He gains +1 level, 9 -> 10, learns ember Platinum gains +$300

Without having to put up too much of a fight, Monroe's powerful water-type move was able to take out the purple mouse Pokemon. Monroe look out a cheerful chirp and leaped into the air with excitement before landing back down onto the frosted ground and striking a winning pose. Platinum shook her head and laughed at her Piplup before shifting her attention back to the younger trainer.
"That was a fun battle, Mikey! I do believe that you're going to become an amazing trainer someday. I do look forward to facing off against you in the future. We just might become true rivals and fight for the title of Champion." She smiled, giving him a playful eye wink. "Also, sorry about the water splashing on you, too. I'm thankful that you did not get hurt." She added with a soft smile.
Platinum held her hands up and shook her head "no" when Mikey mentioned that he should probably give her some money for winning the battle. There was no way that she was going to plan on taking money from a little kid. "No, no! I can't take any money from you!" She replied, waving her hands around a bit. However, Mikey quickly shoved the money into her hands and immediately made his exit before she could even make an attempt to give it back to him. She sighed and stuffed the money into her bag, not even bothering to count it.
Meanwhile, Monroe had found an odd-looking brown Pokemon egg leaned up against one of the snowy trees. Thankfully, she did not attempt to break or scramble it with her sharp beak. "Hey, what are you looking at now?" She asked, remembering the last time something like this happened she found herself having to help tame a changing-like Pokemon back to its true form. Kneeling down a bit, she would carefully pick up the Pokemon egg to take a better look at it. "I wonder who put it here? Do you think that the witch left it behind? Or maybe something happened to the mother of the egg...Either way, it's probably not safe out in this cold...I think that we should take it with us." She stated, gently wrapping her arms around the mysterious egg. Monroe nodded her head in agreement before waddling away to play in the snow.
I would like to deposit Hope into Platinum's P.C. and replace it with her Swinub egg. I would also like to have Platinum's Pachirisu to be introduced to her in this thread, too. I'm not sure if I would have to add it to her team as well to get a mod to role play it or not since this is my first time requesting a mod to play out a Pokemon like this. xD

A weak sun struggled through the layer of clouds and the ice and snow on the branches started to drip, filling the air with quiet music. Not much moved in a cold weather like this, which Platinum would discover as she continued on her journey, a few pidgeys flew past hurriedly but certainly didn't have time for a battle or two. A little kid and potential father walked past, the kid looked like he was determined not to cry, while he clung to the hand of the adult. The man had the arm the kid clung to, protectively around the boy. "I know it was scary, but you were doing so great! It was certainly more scared than you was! You shouldn't go close to a pokemon without asking first," he reassured and explained to the boy who pressed his lips together. The man noticed Platinum and sent her a reassuring smile before he turned his attention back to the boy. Not long after, Platinum would come across a plushy igglypuff which laid discarded in the slush, it had one of its eyes teared out and a hole was chewed in the back. There was almost no stuffing in it left but as it lay on top of the slushy snow it couldn't have been out here for long. It would take longer before Platinum would run into anything else, and that revealed his presents by sound first, mumbling and huffing an officer came trotting down the road while he kept glancing up in the trees. He spotted the young girl and gestured for her to wait as he made his way over to her. He showed her his badge. "Officer Clooney here, I'm looking for a troublemaker I was training, trying to get it accustomed to be a pet or live with a trainer but it ran off. It doesn't like kids it seems, have you seen anything of interest which might could leave me to it?" He asked professionally, a soft hoot was heard and a hoothoot, bearing a police vest came soaring to land in a nearby tree. When Officer Clooney hopefully heard what Platinum could show him, he would frown and urge "please show me!" Officer Clooney has problems with a pokemon he was training, and wants to hear if you have seen anything. (ooc: well, if you want to use the pachirisu it would be best to have it on the team. Any reason you prefer not to? You can play with it fluff wise if it's not on the party, but obviously can't use it in any battle or something like that ^^ 392 words added to the egg.) |
