The human had no clue of what was going on of course, so Pachirisu quickly disregarded her and paid attention to the two pokemon who came with her. They turned out to be rude and snobbish, thinking themselves right and not wanting to even imagine there could be more than one side to a case. The Pachirisu glared coldly, "bullies alright," it commented quietly and the ledyba nodded vigorously. That was what it thought too, about Aphrodite's pokemon.
"In your dreams! I'm not scared of a pair of bullies who are so brave to gang up on one pokemon to feel strong. I'll give you a proper beating to let you know your place and to leave us alone!" The pachirisu called heatedly.
"What doll? I don't know, I have had too many thrown after me to count, I might have ripped one of them afterwards but who knows= It's not like I'm going to tell you now, why should I? You are only going to hear what you want to hear anyway!" The Pachirisu chattered away and flinched when Salem popped up right beside it but it was Ledyba who got the end of it this time.

The electric squirrel tensed and readied itself, while its comrade frantically put up a shimmering shield which enveloped both of them. The reflective shield did put a great hindrance on Archie's bite and he couldn't get through with as much strength as he used to, the Pachirisu smirked.
Salem once again disappeared into the shadows to pop out and scare the life out of the ledyba, although the shield protected it too this time. It looked around scared but Salem had disappeared into the shadows again, and as it saw that its friend was standing helplessly against the pink dog, it sent stars flying at him in the hope of chasing him a bit away.
Archie ignored the pelting of the stars thrown at him and once again tried to fight his way through the shield to bury his teeth into the white electric squirrel, he was so sure he was right it fueled his way through and he chomped down much harder than usual, making the Pachirisu wince, sweat ran down its face as it fought to endure the pain but it cackled at Archie, knowing what was coming.

The electric squirrel still managed to make a lot of noise. However, it did not seem to be able to back it up with its actions. Their attacks had made direct contact with the electric-type Pokemon, but the Pachirisu did not attack them back. The Ledyba took the most damage from the attacks, but at least it was able to fire back with an attack of its own. "You're doing a lot of talking for you not to be doing anything other than taking our hits!" Archie replied, a couple of o chuckles escaping from his mouth.

"So, you're admitting that you might have committed the crime? I knew it! Well, this is going to be the last time that you take advantage of a poor, baby human's toys!" Archie barked out. Salem still remains to stay quite, but his dark and mysterious eyes spoke volumes. He could never forgive this rodent and his partners for destroying a beautiful doll and turning it into some ragdoll.

"Salem and Archie, keep hanging in there! We almost have them where we want them. The Reflect is going to ake things a little bit more tricky for us, but we should be able to overcome it! Salem use Shadow Sneak on that Pachrisu and Archie use another Bite on the Ledyba!" She commanded her Pokemon.

Salem and Archie both took off running in the direction of their opponents to attack them with their given moves. The duo might not be able to take out the Pachirisu right away, but at least there was a chance that the Ledyba will be either knocked out or close to being knocked out.

As the dastardly duo found themselves in quite a rough patch Pachirisu was hoping it's bide would turn the tables on Aphrodite and her team. It had not thought out it's plan too well however as Salem sunk into the shadows and sped towards the electric type at breakneck speed. The specter only leaped out of the shadows when it was too close for the electric squirrel to react. The attack scored a direct hit causing modest damage and drew attention away from Archibald. Mere seconds later Pachirisu unleashed all of it's pent up anger at Salem forgetting that Mikikyu was part ghost type as the attack passed harmlessly through his body.

Desperate to try and savage the situation Ledyba fired off a Swift attack at both Pokemon making the same mistake against Salem however it did manage to score some damage against Archibald. That was the end of the good news for the pair however as Archibald got within range to Bite the bug type as it recovered from unleashing it's attack and fell to the ground knocked out cold. Now facing down two Pokemon and with very few things going it's way Pachirisu was not feeling so confident as it's back was now against the wall.

"Ledyba get up, you cannot be ready to give up this quickly. I need your help more than ever right now. We are going to both be in a lot of trouble if we lose this battle." The bug type did not move a muscle however as Pachirisu was now staring eye to eye with both of Aphrodite's Pokemon. The only way it could make a getaway now was if it could somehow win a two on one battle with no way to heal itself or set up any more protective barriers once Reflect wore off.

Salem and Archie were both holding their own in the double battle. To be honest, Aphrodite was quite surprised due to their lack of experience engaging in double battles. Aphrodite was a little worried about taking some of her less-experienced battlers on a mission at first, but the two of them have proven their worth so far. The Pachirisu was taking the hits pretty well, but the Ledyba was not able to hang on for too much longer.

"Pachirisu, you might as well throw in the towel and come with us now! Your partner is no longer able to assist you!" Archie barked out at the electric-type Pokemon. He hoped that the Pachirisu would give in, but he also had a feeling that it wouldn't stop fighting against them.

"One down and one more to go! We can do this! Salem use Shadow Sneak once more and Archie use Bite!" She commanded her Pokemon. She was not sure if the two attacks would be enough to take down their last opponent or not with the reflective shield still in effect.

The white electric squirrel with its bright blue streak that ran over both ears, down its back, and across its tail narrowed its eyes down upon the two Pokemon as it stood with its back against a metaphorical wall. Pachirisu’s thick, bushy tail shot up high into the air and the tip twitched angrily as it narrowed its eyes down suspiciously on the hound and it’s strange doll-like companion. “Who do you two think you are, anyways?! You can’t stop me!” It spat out angrily and zipped through the long grass around the route. Salem’s long, shadowy claws swept either side of the field and slapped themselves against the electric rodent, causing Pachirisu to fly up into the air and across the ground.

“You both need two to gang up on one Pokemon. See? How pathetic!” Pachirisu raised itself back up onto its two feet and seemed to stumble about as it staggered. It turned its round head back towards its fainted friend and folded its ears against its head. “You weren’t supposed to give up on me. Not like this. Not so soon. Speak to me, Ledyba. Please…speak!” It cried out. When some other Ledyba popped out from the shadows, Pachirisu simply waved them off. They scooped up their fainted friend and disappeared into the undergrowth with the body to help it find a more secluded place to rest and regain its strength.

Pachirisu charged up all of the energy that it could muster and fired off a powerful spark of electrical energy, that would envelop Archibald and zap a good chunk of his health. He would just barely avoid being paralyzed from the shocking waves, though they coursed powerful through the pink dog’s form. “What are ya gunna do now…huh…arrest me? Bah! I’d…like to see…ya try…” It slurred its words as it staggered back and forth, shaking its head several times. Archibald rushed in and bit down hard on his opponent, causing the Pachirisu to slump over and fall to the ground where it balled its eyes out. “Ok, ok! I give, I’m sorry! It’s just…finding food every day is hard! And it doesn’t help when these ‘kids’, as you call them, try to chase you around all day – every day. Yeah, I destroyed their toys! So what? I just…I just…if they knew what I felt just once…ya know? Just once, I wanted them to feel what I felt…does that really make me such a bad guy??”

There remained a certain Nurse Joy that would be waiting on Aphrodite to return and report her findings, however…

Aphrodite had hoped that the Pachirisu would accept the fact that it would not stand a chance against Salem and Archie on its own. However, the Pachirisu's pride did not seem to want to accept that right now. Salem and Archie did not seem to want to back down either. Salem was able to remain calm for the most part, but Archie's temper was starting to reach its peak as the Pachirisu continued to spit out words in their direction. The small electric rodent eventually tried to make an escape, but Salem and Archie were able to prevent it from making a getaway. Salem and Archie's last attacks soon managed to weaken their opponent enough to have it begging to end the fight. Archie stared at the beaten-up Pachirisu, a deep growl escaping from his mouth. It was quite obvious that the Snubbull wanted to dig his sharp canine teeth into the electric-type Pokemon one more time.

"Stand down! That is enough!" Aphrodite ordered her Pokemon. The golden-haired officer swiftly retrieved Salem and Archie's Poke Ball to return them back for a nice rest. "We probably could have handled this a better way, but this is my first mission. Clearly, we're still going to have to do some more training before we take on another mission." She sighed, placing the two Poke Ball back into her bag. She would then turn her attention towards the Pachirisu.

"As for you, I believe that it is better for me to capture you for now until I can figure out what else to do with you, okay?." She spoke to the Pokemon, tossing a Poke Ball at the Pachirisu. If successful, she would then travel back to the Pokemon Center to update Nurse Joy and the little girl about her discovery and solution to the situation.

The pachirisu accepted the capture reluctantly, it was not like it had much choice but this experience didn't seem like it had helped at all on its trust in humans. The pokeball Aphrodite used on it didn't even shake, but just confirmed the capture right away. The electric rodent had no reason to fight against it after all, what would it gain from that.

The walk back to the Pokemon Center was without any incidence, people were busy with their lives and wild pokemon were scavenging for food or whatelse they did to survive in these parts. A group of kindergarteners were lead past and several of them pointed excitedly at Aphrodite. A real officer! They would talk about that for days.

"Officer! You are back!" Nurse Joy greeted Aphrodite as she stepped into the Pokemon Center, "did you found out what was going on? I would hate for the kids not to be able to play in the park anymore."
The nurse would listen closely to what Aphrodite could tell, and reacted in all the right places.
"Oh my goodness! What a story, but I'm glad you solved it and will take care of that little rascal. I'm sure it didn't mean any harm with it," Nurse Joy said cheerfully and pulled something from her pocket.
"I know you get paid and this is your job, but I want to give you a little thank you to show my appreciation. You don't get enough of that after all," she said kindly and offered Aphrodite a poketoy and a bit of money.

When the case was reported to Aphrodite's superiors they noted it down with pleasure.

Aphrodite earns 10 Merits for her great deed.
I didn't see any negotiator playing this time.
