RattataName: Susan Gender: Female Level: 1 OT: Vartio Artel Attacks: Tackle, Tail Whip, Screech EM, Bite EMAbility: Run Away Nature/Personality: [Jolly]. Susan is described by Vartio as 'adorkable', and is commonly seen attached or in front of Vartio where he can protect her. Susan is a runt, and shows many of the signs including a lack of self esteem. She is known to have a habit of replicating any human behavior in an attempt to be likeable. Being a Rattata from another world, namely Godai, her intelligence is well above standard, as pokemon in her home world were smarter than their real-world animal equivalents. Susan is said to lack a single hostile bone in her body, unless Vartio is at risk, as the human who gave her a better life than she had in her youth. Despite all this, Susan's favorite spot is in Vartio's custom haori inner pocket where Vartio can lug her around. ========== After that day in Elm's lab, Vartio had ended the discussion soon after, the excitement mixed with all that had happened had exhausted him severely. Over those few days since he had arrived, a lot of Vartio's energy had been spent mostly chattering and actually getting to know the Bulbasaur. It had been by the three day in Johto that he had formally decided to adopt the Bulbasaur as his local starter pokemon.
Those few days were mostly rehab for Vartio, he never really mentioned his bodily issues, figuring them within his ability to handle. The lag that prevented him from pushing his body and thinking seemed to have lessened, but didn't fully go away. At the least he was able to get back to doing non-critical thinking while running.
They had spent days trying to sync his pokeballs to the Johto PC system, but the energy and perhaps the unfamiliar system had caused a hindrance towards desyncing the two. Vartio had chosen to at least carry Susan's pokeball with him at all times, hoping perhaps just being near him would help her. The rest of his prior team remained in Elm's care as they tried to fix the system.
This decision would soon pay off.--- "It's fine, Miss Veronica. We're dealing with unknown species of creatures, time-space penetration, and the world naturally attempting to repair itself. The world ever abhors a 'hole' in it that is not consistent with its own energy. Law of conservation of matter and all that. It's a small miracle I even could exist in this world, as I'm technically 'additional' energy... wonder what was 'lost' in my place, thinking of it." Vartio pondered out loud as he approached the other researcher, a hand rubbing an aching cheek from the last branch to smack him.Hearing Veronica so intent on giving her all to return him, he let out a small but gentle smile. "Thank you for giving your all for me. But at this rate it's more likely I'd run into an Ultra Beast then we'd easily run into a way to get me back home. Besides, if I learned anything thanks to being a trainer, a singular strategy is not the way to success. Having a variety of tools available would be for the best." That reminded him that later he'd need to see if his TMs still worked. Another thing to consider working on in this world. If he could teach any of them to Lulo, he'd have at least some additional power. Maybe his Secret Power would be worth using on Lulo to help her with holding her own until he could produce a stronger moveset for the Seed Pokemon. *Rustle*Vartio turned about the same moment that Veronica had mentioned that they had 'guests'. It wasn't long until the grass had 'parted' to reveal a larger, but still familiar, nose, and then the entire pokemon. A Rattata. It was almost karmic that the first two wild Pokemon he encountered in this world would be Raticate and Rattata.
Raticate and Rattata. His eyes blinked as he thought about it, as the small rodent pokemon grew aggressive."I think it's reacting to-"The sentence wasn't able to finish as black and crimson electricity sparked rapidly from the Pokeball, becoming excessive and forming trails that singed leaves and plants nearby, on top of Vartio's haori. It didn't take long before the ball burst open, revealing another rodent off to the side of both Vartio and the other Rattata, just like the one that had appeared, although nearly half the size in height. But what stood out was a yellow-orange aura wisping from its every limb. Its eye lacked the usual iris, pupil, and sclera, and were replaced by crimson glowing orbs.
With a shrilling hiss, this small Rattata hissed out, Vartio's eyes widened as he felt his heart tug at the sight of the partner he had travelled with non-stop for a year. The pokeball hung limp around his neck, the device forced open and small gadgetry visible inside now, a few lights flickering before the life from the ball disappeared entirely with one last small blue spark.
His right hand grasped his left side of his chest, squeezing as he reached out, only for the smaller Rattata to lunge at Vartio without hesitation with a hiss for even moving, only to get swatted away, but barely, by Cellulose's whips, knocking it aside. The bulbasaur then stood between Vartio and the two Rattatas, letting out a 'Saur' boldly in defense of its trainer.'Too similar' Vartio thought. It was so similar that it brought back memories to that incident with the Persian in Djenganti. Except this was nowhere as dire a battle, there was no research material on the line, there was only Susan and this wild Rattata. "Veronica, what does that device say now?" He questioned, taking notice of the aura around Susan. His eyes dropped to Lulo and then back to the Rattatas, Susan climbing to her feet.
Regardless of what Veronica said, he knelt down and lightly rested his left hand on Lulo's bulb."Please, deal with that bigger Rattata. I got the small one..." Vartio said gently towards the Bulbasaur. His heart felt ready to break, seeing the Rattata so hostile, so cruel, hissing like a wild beast. This wasn't her. The Susan he knew was an adorkable mess. She was shy and scared and yet so brave to face down the things she did. The memories of the last time she battled, leading an army of poached Pokemon, came to his mind.
He was going to take his Susan back himself. He grabbed onto a fallen branch nearby, not too large, but not too thick either. "I'm going to restrain her and get her back in this ball, so help me Arceus..."=== OOC: 974 Words. Battle: Susan called out first to "battle" Rattata. Susan 'recalled', Cellulose sent out to battle.

"The world will adapt," Was Veronica's short answer, she sent him a little smile, "don't worry about it."She smirked and said with a shrug, "they are often coming from wormholes according to what my contacts in Alola says, so that wouldn't be a bad thing!"She was quiet for a moment, "I'm glad we don't get visits from them though, sounds like they can be real trouble."Veronica had tensed as the wild rattata slowly made its way towards, them, as Vartio began to speak she glanced at him. She gasped and flinched away as sparks flew from Vartio's pokeball and she stumbled away while trying to both cover herself and see what was happening at the same time. Veronica wasn't the only one jumping, the wild rattata did so too and its eyes widened when it saw Susan's reaction. It shouldn't have been possible but it managed to bristle even more and its tail fur fluffed out so it looked twice as big. "You are the wrong!" It screeched at Susan, "Stop it! You are crazy!"Not that Susan listened, it watched horrified as the affected other smaller rattata hissing and spitting at the humans. It hesitated a moment and then narrowed its eyes and gave a small nod to itself. "I protect this area, I cannot let you act like this! Go away!" The rattata shouted as a warning but didn't expect any answer, it gave Susan a moment to retort although nothing came. It leaped forward with its eyes locked on Susan, and failed to notice Cellulose until it crashed into her and somersaulted unwillingly over her due to her bulk. As it landed a puff of flower petals stood into the air and had the situation been different, it would have been a pretty sight. It rolled around and sprung to its feet again, "what did you do that for?! Step aside and let me handle that crazy thing! You'll just get hurt!" It shouted at the bulbasaur. Veronica already had her scanner out and was staring at it, "it made some sort of reaction just before, that must have been when the pokeball opened. Perhaps some of the wormhole energy has somehow been trapped in them and needs to be released?" She rambled and glanced at Vartio. "There's a very faint something when I point it at your rattata, but my scanner can't get some proper readings. It's not made for such small things, its made for finding the wormholes themselves, traces of those and pinpoint it. Where it comes from is the only thing I can fully see, which is your rattata, your pokeball seems to be free of it so perhaps it has affected your pokemon and not your pokeballs? Perhaps the pokeballs don't read them normally since they are different with the wormhole energy? But why have they been affected?" Veronica half informed Vartio and half thought aloud. "It means you need to be aware that you might be affected in some way, which is unknown yet," she warned and turned the scanner at Vartio, "at the moment I don't get any readings on your either though."Wild Encounter Weather: Blooming [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Wild rattata LV 5 HP 100% [19/19]

"So the energy of the Wormholes is jamming the devices... seemingly short circuited them based on Susan's Pokeball. Whatever the situation is with me, that can be investigated later. For now, I need to calm her down." Vartio stated as he took in a deep breath, his hands clenching into loose fists as he kneeled down and rose his hands like he was motioning to catch her. She seemed worse than her time as a feral Pokemon, worse than when she wanted to fight even against what would be her bully of a sibling Raticate. Something had to be innately affecting her mentality, and it was obvious what. The 'Faller' Energy seemed to be driving her negatively.
Physically not his prime thanks to his recovery process since having Fallen, he had to hope that she was not in a stable state on mind at this point, and that he could catch her all the same as he always had and once had.
"Comere Susan, I'm here for you..." he spoke softly, hoping to reach the rodent. Even if it didn't, he figured it might provoke some response. He had to just hope she wasn't as smart now as when she lead a horde of Pokemon to beat up Poachers. If she came back with that he would be beyond screwed!
Her hissing and spitting was so unlike her. Why was this energy not affecting him like her? Was it a matter of energy-to-mass ratio? Was it a matter of it causing a chain aural reaction which lead to something more? Maybe it was due to her Aural state within the Pokeball making her more vulnerable to the Ultra Wormhole energy?
Whatever the case, everything would start from here. First to save Susan, then to aide Cellulose. He trusted the Bulbasaur to handle itself, afterall. So far Pokemon didn't seem too unintelligent compared to their Godaian counterparts, he hoped that they at least could comprehend fighting themselves.
---------------------
Susan's mind was a haze, its sight a mass of unfamiliar shapes and sensations, perhaps not all that different from what Vartio had experienced upon entering this world. However, something was inherently different with her condition. Her mind a haze, and her body was experiencing abnormalities due to energies that even her trainer would likely fail to understand. Her body, once strong enough to be near the cusp of evolution had she toiled more and desired it, now was sapped of its power.
What awoke her was unknown, however what laid before her bore much anger. The vibes of the emotions of its aura were subtle, but reminded it of a certain Raticate she had once known. Spiteful, hatred. She felt in return hatred as well, destructive urges. She could not understand what was spoken to her, but her mind was geared towards the destruction of this creature before her. Completely oblivious to the wisps of energy coming from her body, she thought this was just a case of yet another bully!
But then, a familiar mass of color got in her way as the other being dared to attack, and then it arrived again, but bigger. A familiar sense again, but this time more calming. And yet she felt those destructive urges, an unfamiliar mindset that urged to attack this figure before her. With a loud hiss she'd tackle towards the large figure.
---------------------
Cellulose let out a prideful growl of its species, having taken to the battlefield. Bouncing left and right, it looked like it was preparing to battle, but in an energetic form that seemed more playful than anything.
he human named Vartio had made it a habit to treat her well since they met. But Cellulose had quickly figured Vartio was in pain hidden Vartio's voice when he spoke to her, underneath every word he spoke. A pain of loss, a pain of confusion.
And so, Cellulose tried her best to be a source of positivity for Vartio who had appeared that one day. She'd cheer for him, and generally just kept close and a darting mass of energy like a young puppy in order to keep his mind distracted from brooding. The man's pain ran deep, however. He quickly delved, time and time again, into a deep brooding thought, and every time Cellulose, whom rarely returned to her Pokeball during their stay in New Bark Town prior to the excursion this day, would take advantage to tackle him playfully and generally prod him with her vines, anything to get his mind elsewhere.
Cellulose wasn't like Godaian pokemon, she wasn't especially smart or adaptive, and hence could only be herself. And thankfully, that was all Vartio needed from the grass-type Pokemon. Cellulose was unaware how much she reminded him of his cherished partner, the very Rattata that he had went to handle.
What Cellulose did get, was he had asked her to handle this Rattata herself while he handled the other. A mixture of joy of having a human that cared for her, and him desperately wanting to accomplish something, was more than enough for Cellulose to desire to battle on his behalf.
Cellulose never really fight before, but it knew how to use its abilities by instinct. Two vines grew from its body out towards its sides, and swung across the area horizontally as though to slam the Rattata that had challenged Vartio on both sides.

Veronica nodded but didn't say anything else to not distract Vartio from what it was he thought he had to do. She didn't understood much about the bond which supposedly should be between a trainer and his pokemon, but she knew enough that it was important to them and to give them space when they needed. The researcher turned her attention to the scanner and the not-readings it gave her, she frowned as she tried to figure out how she could get some informations of what had happened. She looked at the sky which had equally few traits of the wormhole who had recently split it open, it had disappeared literally into thin air. "There must be some sort of residue around, but how am I going to find it?" She mumbled to herself. The rattata was not please with the bulbasaur's action, getting in the way and flailing her vines around even. Since Cellulose hadn't looked like she had understood a word it had screamed at it, it decided she had to be stupid and without a voice. It glanced at Susan and its eye twitched, it had been a nice day where it had enjoyed the flowers. It was a good life being a rattata when you lived under the protection of the Totem which had settled down in this area, and it wasn't going to let some weirdo destroy it. It washed an ear agitated, Susan just felt weird, it wasn't like the ghost pokemon which had terrorized the area until some trainer had caught it. Everything around her just felt wrong, and it knew it wasn't the only one who had felt it, the nervous pidgeys had just decided to leave as fast as possible. "I'm sorry," the rattata mumbled, aimed at Cellulose before it ran at her. It wasn't sure what it was going to do with Susan, but she needed to leave the area, and if the grass pokemon didn't understood its word and moved, it would have to show her the hard way. It crashed into Cellulose with its shoulder first, sending her skidding back a few feet but it didn't stop the vines which came flying in from one side. The first one swiped it off its feet, and the second vine was a bit higher so it slemmed the rat straight down into the ground, leaving it shocked and winded. Veronica would find whatever happened with that Ultra Wormhole, enough time had passed the residue was gone. Was it simply a flight of fate, or was there purpose behind its existence and the residue long dispersed or absorbed for another purpose? The air hanged quietly, bar the sounds of the conflict about.
Vartio watched as Susan darted at him. He'd watched her movements countless times in their year together. Even if she wasn't in her right mind, he knew how she'd lunge. He knew her well because she was his companion, constantly by his side and 'protecting' him, even if she wasn't that strong. He knew her perhaps as well as he knew Hauntaur, his uncle's pokemon he had grown up alongside, and whom began his 'starter' pokemon.
And it was in that faith that it was still her, that he would hope to catch her here.
Susan hissed out as she lunged forwards, her body motioning forward in quick leaps, a failed attempt of a Quick Attack due to her unstable aura signature. Vartio of course recognized those movements, remembering her doing such to jump onto his lap after raiding the fruit bowl one of the times they had returned to that empty house, what felt like an eternity ago.
Fingers slipped around her small body as she launched at him. But even if it wasn't a Quick Attack, it effectively was a tackle, and the power of aura surged through her body and augmented that lunge. The mysterious energies of the wormhole were fading from her slowly. The aura seemed to be dispersing in Vartio's grip - either due to his adjusted state synchronizing with her, or due to some other reason. The man himself, however, was knocked backwards and into the air as the momentum she carried flowed through him.
The seering force of the powerful impact ran through him, his teeth clenching as his eyes narrowed as he hissed, the rodent in his hands squeaking furiously as he held onto her, her legs all kicking wildly. Every now and then, her claws would nick him while he spent his time attempting to recover from the impact winding him. Eventually he let out a couple coughs as he clenched his teeth and pulled her in close, attempting to press her ear against his chest underneath the Haori. Susan always slept happily in the pocket he kept under the haori, letting the warmth of his body run through his kosode and into her, letting his heartbeat run into her ear, letting her hear the familiar beat of a familiar heart in the hopes that it would ease her.
=========================
Cellulose was hit rather hard by the enemy Rattata, but she had knocked the Rattata into the ground, winded, as she prepared another vine whip, positioning them such as she slowly walked between the Rattata and her owner. She was panting in pain, knowing she could probably endure one more blow before reaching her limit. But she had to stay conscious for now, she had to protect them.
"Friend cherish that one." she said, having been with him for a while now, she could grasp some essence of the human's thoughts. "Friend lonely, suffer, cradle that one while it slept in sphere for long time now. Now it free, won't let you interrupt them. She bad, but he good. He care, so she simply weird. If you keep going, I keep going. Let them resolve this. I don't want fight if help!" Cellulose responded in her growls, her Vines keeping raised, ready to counter strike if the Rattata kept going at it. Cellulose didn't look great, but she was ready to strike again if this kept going.

Determination mixed in a sea of anxiety as the researcher scanned around the area. Her eyes fluttered to the skies above, their seas a mix of strange ripples still dying down as they churned back to once bright blue hues. Clouds that once scarcely decorated their frame edges along the borders of the horizon, clinging within safe distance as though Arceus itself might rip their presence away at any given moment. Her mutterings were sung in soft whispers, too low to quite detect and classic for her field of expertise as she mostly conversed with herself for the given moment, too focused on her research. The wild rodent just wasn’t nearly as satisfied or interested in understanding what strange developments had taken over the area. It had pushed and shoved at the large bulbous plant, stressing the need for Cellulose and her companions to book it to the next safest area. They must have been dense. The ground underfoot was strange, not quite like Susan had been entirely. While it felt normal – the same hardened earth accompanied by the same soft green grasses that tickled its belly – Rattata couldn’t quite explain what about it was so unwholly wrong. It whipped its tail from one side to the next, slapping Cellulose gently on her legs and bulb. “You’re not making any sense.” Rattata squeaked. It paused, pulling back for a moment to raise up onto its hind legs. A salmon tongue dripping in saliva lathered its front paws with its own spit, which it then used to nervously comb through its dense purple fur. “Speak slower. Try to help me understand. The ‘friend’. I presume your trainer? He’s lonely, is that it?” When Cellulose slapped the wild rodent repeatedly, it jumped back and arched its back defensively. “I’m trying to understand so you can’t understand why I need you to go! For your own good!” The wild Rattata insisted in. Wild Encounter Weather: Blooming [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Wild rattata LV 5 HP 26% [5/19]

Vartio hanged on tight despite the clawing and attempted biting - stifled only by how he held her head to his heart. He held a prayer, whether it was to Mew, Arceus, Suicune, any higher power Pokemon. He didn't care about the pain running through his arm, he'd taken worse, a Sneasal's claw was nothing to be trifled with afterall, not that he didn't feel the burn and screams of his body from these scratches attempting to pierce through his haori.
Susan felt that rhythmic beating, there by her side for so long, and almost like it was resonating with her soul, slowly she began to recover from her frenzy, her legs beating weaker, and her will to resist slowing down. It felt like all that animosity was leaving her body alongside her strength. Her aura sapping away to Arceus knew where. Her eyes half-lidded, she let out the ever familiar sound of the Rattata species before weakly craning her head up to look at Vartio, then looked at the arm that held her. That arm that carried her despite being severely injured by Persian. that arm that she rested in when he slept against a tree. That arm whose hand rubbed her head and poked her nose. She weakly lapped her tongue at his arm, sensing the shaking, the pain underneath his movements. She didn't know what she had done, but she could sense the pain in him, the sadness.
She felt.
She felt anger lapping over as she looked over at the other Rattata and Cellulose, who was injured, and whom was receiving a smack of the tail from the opposing Rattata. She squeaked out, attempting to crawl out of Vartio's grasp, but he held her tighter and slowly stood.
--------------------
Cellulose let out a growl as she was smacked by the tail of this opposing Rattata, feeling her own body weaken somewhat. She could tell she wouldn't be able to keep this up for much longer. And yet she couldn't give up. That trainer of hers had reacted so suddenly and irrationally, that it was clear how much that Rattata meant to him. She felt ready to fight as long as he needed, come hell or high water if needed.
"Trainer? Friend been lost. Been here many moon. Know little and ask much. Always stare at ball that carry that one of your species, with sadness. Could not open it no matter what. Cry many a time. Others at place help Friend try to open the ball, all fail. He keep me company all the same, treat me well. He take me in. So I protect him and her while he help her. Leave alone, we leave when he done calm her down!"
Almost as if on cue, a certain Rodent leaped down next to Cellulose, although not moving in front of it, she stood in support of the Bulbasaur, patting it on the side with a gentle squeak. Vartio simultaneously knelt down next to them, holding a small spray canister in his hand. He spritzed Cellulose with it, and let the substance flood into Cellulose's injuries to help ease them.
Susan squeaked and voiced in the language of Rattata, and even then, the Wild Rattata would find it was as though speaking to a foreign language. The 'words' would be hard to understand, but she seemed calm, almost energetic, although the human would softly cup her under her head as though to hold back the Runt-sized Rattata. Cellulose looked up at Vartio in confusion. This Rattata was... not understandable? She had guessed he had some mysteries what with Pokeballs that didn't seem to shrink like everyone elses, but this was something else altogether.
"Frankly, I don't know if you can understand me. In my world, Pokemon try to understand us humans through reading the emotions underneath one's words and actions, a form of true empathy through Aural reception. So let me be clear. I do not want any further fight. I want knowledge, the truth as to what happened to me and Susan here..." he released Susan's chest/neck and lightly pat her head. And if possible, return home. So, if you are insistent on standing in my way and fight instead of let us do what we need to, I will not hesitate to fight you with all I have."
Vartio's words carried a weight behind them. He clearly didn't want to fight, but wasn't the sort afraid to fight. Susan had clearly wanted to help Cellulose, seeing her younger self in this Bulbasaur, only barely able to remember it had shielded her from this Rattata - had she not taken a blow for her, this Bulbasaur likely would have ended this already. Cellulose had only acted in defense too, each time striking after the Rattata attacked her. There was no hostility in these actions. The only hostility had been ceased, although whether it 'slept' or something else would remain to be seen.

This was so weird, things had felt so wrong and it was here to protect its home, but now that feeling was gone.. mostly, the ground still felt... icky, but the big wrongness was.. not there anymore. It shifted uncomfortably, should it drop it or should it make sure that the weirdness didn't come back? It shook a paw like it was wet, it really didn't like the feeling under the grass. Cellulose spoke and the wild rat turned its attention to her and laid down its ears, "you're still not making any sense," it huffed and stomped a paw determined, "it doesn't matter. You're all a problem, leave!" It demanded and then jumped down when Susan came out of nowhere to join the bulbasaur. The wild rat sniffed the air suspiciously, Susan didn't feel out of place now, but the smell told it she was the same as the wrongness before. Would she turn back? "LEAVE!" It shouted and made a fake attack to try scare them off. The human came and cared for his battling pokemon, but that was also the only part of all this which was normal. The wild rattata felt a tingling in its fur, Susan squabbled nonesense, which it might have understood a little bit off had it been calm and actually tried to listen closely, and Cellulose's explanations hadn't made things clear either. And to top it off, that wrongness which had set it off in the first place, it put it on edge and tension build inside. When Cellulose looked at her trainer, the rattata leaped and gave her a light shove. "I told you to leave!" It repeated frantically, fear creeping into its voice. Naturally Cellulose sent out her whipping vines which snapping in the air, the rat did the opposite of what you'd expect, it jumped straight at her, in between the vines to give her another shove, and while she was caught off balance it darted off. This was too much, the wrongness, the feeling of that icky thingy in the ground and the weird pokemon. Nope, it was outta here. It was a shame that Veronica's equipment couldn't feel the same residue in the ground as the wild rattata, or they may have gotten a tiny step closer to solve this mystery. Now instead she did one last reading, and didn't find anything obviously, and she sighed and glanced nervously at Vartio. "I don't think we'll find anything today, I'm sorry," she said hesitantly and frowned, "I think we need to change tactics instead of running around here with no real plan. I need to do some more research to understand this better, and figure out what to do next. I know there is a way to force open those wormholes, but from the little I have heard it's not really leading anywhere."She looked at him with a worried frown, "are you alright with that?" She asked, "I'll be in touch and let you know if I find anything."Cellulose handled things as she was expected to and grows +3 levels to [Lv 8]! She learns Growth! Susan was saved and grows +1 level to [Lv 2]! (ooc: Thread is hereby UNRESERVED )

As the Rattata started to press its body forwards in preparation of its sprint, Vartio's voice snapped out almost at the same point. The precision of the call a sign of reflexes and awareness of Rattata that Vartio had built up in his year working with Susan, used to predict the Rattata's own movements. "Vine Whip!"Vartio's dire mistake was a lack of experience of his Pokemon. For that split moment, Cellulose was caught off guard on both ways. One being the Rattata's insistence on them leaving, then attacking so suddenly. Then Vartio's call caused it to panic internally, its whips going out at a bad timing and allowing the Rattata to rush in and get a clear bonk in head-to-head on Cellulose. Before Cellulose could even adjust its whips to get in a clean hit, the Rattata had darter away. Susan had attempted to give chase but tripped, her body not reacting the way SHE wanted, but she was quick to regain balance and realize what had happened to her. It was like working with a body after atrophy, although she didn't recognize the term. She did however, have a time after an injury that brought back that sort of memory. She had grown weaker, and not by a small amount. With a poutty squeak, she simply looked in the direction that Rattata had ran off. "It's fine Susan, what's matter is you're both alright." He spoke softly, his eyes closing as he let out a sigh to release the tension from his body. He reached down and wrapped an arm under each of his Pokemon and lifted them, holding them to his chest. "Welcome home, Susan. And thank you so much, Cellulose."Veronica approached, and began to talk about the lack of ability to confirm anything. There was no true resonance then. It was a small, simple plan, but it was better than nothing. "Every little piece of info can add up to a bigger picture. We had to see if my presence called a resonation with the 'hole', but it seems that hole is not 'there' anymore. This is indeed a dead end unless we're missing something." Vartio of course, was no expect on Ultra Wormhole energies. Were he, he'd have asked for a detection analysis on the ground, as he was aware of Aura affecting Candorous materials in the ground, resulting in Evolution Stones and their ilk. "We should head back." As Vartio looked back at the Pokemon in his arms, he could only let out a smile as Susan 'saluted' with a paw, her tail wagging with joy as Cellulose let out a cry of 'Hello'. ---------------------- Upon returning to Elm's Lab, he would greet the Professor with a smile and with a certain Rattata peeking out of the damaged Haori of her owner, squeaking in greeting to the human whom her owner smiled so happily towards, a paw raised peeking into sight in greeting. Cellulose would proceed to just lay down near the door, exhausted from the battle, although happily crying out towards Susan, who, confused, would simply come down from the haori and proceed to lay next to Cellulose and lick at her forehead where the Rattata had last hit. The two seemed to hit it off quickly, with Susan squeaking like she was trying to speak to the Bulbasaur, and Cellulose 'trying' to speak back, although it was like trying to comprehend someone else speaking a whole new language. Vartio's plans were simple: he wanted to help around the lab and town until he felt better, and figured he'd set out after that point. This was a whole new world, with new journeys, and new hopes to understanding the secrets of Aura. How could he not embrace it, and throw himself to adventure...? And so time would pass... ========================================================= For Susan and Vartio's other Pokemon's next adventure, see Susan and the Garden of Litten, and the following escapades! For adventures of Vartio and his team, see the upcoming [Dying Wish], and "New World, New Journeys" posts.
