A Northerly Wind Blows [Boss Battle]

As the battle raged on, Shinya and his Pokemon stood their ground. Shinya was far too excited to be bothered by the level of danger or the pressure that went along with Suicune's presence, continuing to grin a very big grin as he eyed the legendary Pokemon. As for his Pokemon, Heracross, he continued to eye another trainer, Marchbaby. It was clear that something had the Singlehorn Pokemon distracted, which caused Shinya to lose his grin once he noticed. The Team Skull grunt raised an eyebrow at his Pokemon, then followed his gaze, and ended up turning to face Marchbaby himself. After pondering Heracross' reaction for a full minute, a memory surfaced in Shinya's mind, as he snapped his fingers once it did.

"Oh right. That's the guy who gave me Heracross in the first place. That makes him Heracross' original trainer. His name is...Marchbaby, if I recall." Shinya said to himself, as the memories of the day he purchased Heracross from the other trainer come flooding back. As for Heracross himself, it wasn't that he wanted to go back to his old trainer but seeing him in person again was definitely a lot for the Bug/Fighting type to process, especially with the circumstances surrounding this reunion. After a few more seconds of thinking, Shinya got his grin back, and turned his gaze back towards Suicune.

"The past is the past, Heracross! But why don't we show your old trainer what we've got! Use Horn Attack on Suicune now!" As soon as Heracross heard his new trainer's commands, he immediately turned his own gaze back towards the Aurora Pokemon as well, preparing himself for battle after that. "Hera! Heracro! Hera...cro!" Filled with confidence and determination, the Singlehorn Pokemon channeled as much energy as he could into his horn, then spread his wings and flew full speed at Suicune. The Bug type trainer kept on watching the entire time, recognizing right away that Heracross was attempting to showoff to his former master. That was definitely something that Shinya supported and understood very well.

Lei was not used to sign language and frowned when Zaiden began to "wave his arms randomly", she looked over her shoulder quickly to make sure he wasn't trying to tell her, that the beast was heading straight for her. It wasn't, she looked back and sent him a weird glance and took a step away, mostly to not shout him straight in the face when she once again tried to address the rest of the group.
"Hey! I asked you all a question!" She shouted, not liking one bit to be ignored, and glanced at the suicune to see if this would attract its attention, until now it had focused on their pokemon luckily.
"Last time we got lucky and it doesn't seem like we're getting help from the others. If we want to be sure we get out of this unscathed we need to work together! And that needs us to talk to each other!" She shouted frustrated and pointed at Marchbaby.
"He has already lost his magnezone, much faster than last time, and I don't have time to get my drampa with light screen! We need to get this to work!" She stared at the other with her hands on her hips.
"Inana, Fake Tears!" Lei shouted over her shoulder without looking at her pokemon and shouted to Marchbaby, "do your shuppet has screech too like the one in the last battle?" She shouted at him, "I need to know if I should go for that move, or blind it!"

Inana's lips quivered and then she threw herself on the ground in a full tantrum, "why are you like this?! It's not fa-ha-ha-hair!" slapping the sand. She stopped just as fast as she had started and looked towards the small blue round pokemon, who tried to talk to the big blue dog, it turned to see if the suicune answered that one but it doubted it.

Nate looked on very concerned as the Magnezone collapsed from the battle with the Suicune. "That's not good as that was a very powerful Pokemon and yet all it took was two attacks for it to be defeated." He looked down at his own pokemon. "What chance does Laxus have against the opponent?" He thoughts and concerns were soon broken when Lei started shouting over the fact that they were not communicating with each other. "I doubt I can do much as I only have a Squirtle, Pichu, Mareep, Ralts, Igglybuff and Wurmple and I doubt they can do much against a legendary Pokemon." Nate stuck his hands into his pockets. "Does anyone have any Pokemon that can increase the defence or attack of Pokemon?" He called out wanting to know what the other Pokemon knew so that he could plan his moves out better.
"Laxus use Thunder Shock!" Nate ordered.
Laxus rubbed his cheeks rigorously charging up static in his small hands. He then brought his hands together over his forhead and fired a tiny thunderbolt at the mysterious Pokemon. 'Now this is a zapping good time.' Laxus called out hoping not to injure any of the other Pokemon.

Marchbaby only just realized that Lei had been talking to him as another round came to a close. He was so focused on the battle he had not been paying attention to anything else going on. " Most of my team are physical attackers so if anyone can lower Suicune's physical defense it can really help. I believe Suicune is a pure water type so grass and electric type moves can really help me out as well." He then thought about what Lei had said and figured he might be able to contribute in more than just an offensive role as Spitfire knew Confuse Ray.

" Spitfire is one of my rare cases but she knows Confuse Ray which might be able to buy us some time since she cannot use Night Shade this round. I used to have a Shuppet but mine evolved into a Banette and does not know Screech anymore. She can use Phantom Force if we lower Suicune's physical defense first." Marchbaby then turned his attention to Suicune unsure if he should help the team or try and protect Spitfire as most of the group seemed to be trying their best but their coordination still needed some work including himself.

He knew Ember would be worthless either way but as Minimize was not super helpful to the team he decided Confuse Ray would be his best choice until Spitfire could use Night Shade again. " This might sound a bit shocking but I think I am going to try a status move this round. I am not a fan of them but Spitfire here cannot do much else so it is better than nothing. Spitfire use Confuse Ray. Hopefully it can buy us a bit of time. Once we weaken Suicune a bit more it might be worth the risk reviving Shocker as they will be very useful with Suicune's special defense so low."

Shinya's excitement had risen so much since the battle began that all of Lei's words went in one ear and out the other, as his grin remained strong, and his fighting spirit was burning like a raging inferno. Not that it would've made much of a difference anyway. Even if the Team Skull grunt had some Pokemon or moves that were a better match-up against Suicune, it would've been downright cruel of him to pull Heracross out of this battle at this time. While Shinya wasn't normally one for sentiment or helping others, he knew that this was very important to the Singlehorn Pokemon. The trainer that he was born with had sold him off and was now battling with other Pokemon right in front of him, paying him absolutely no mind at all. Needless to say, Heracross' feelings were hurt.

Even through his high levels of excitement, Shinya picked up on this immediately, and it did resonate with him at least a little bit. The Bug type trainer knew exactly how it felt to be thrown away and treated like you weren't as good as someone else. It reminded him of the times when his parents left him, and when Team Skull was disbanded. Still, Shinya knew that starting a fight with Marchbaby right now would be futile, given the current difference in the levels of their Pokemon. Besides, infighting while facing a legendary Pokemon in battle was definitely not a smart move. Fortunately, the Team Skull grunt knew of another way to stick it to the other male trainer and his Pokemon at this time.

"I know it hurts, Heracross! Trust me! I do! But that's exactly why we can't falter now! Use all those hurt feelings! Change 'em into power! Then use that power to defeat Suicune and show your former trainer that it was a mistake to throw you away!" Even with Suicune's Pressure and the winds going strong, Shinya still managed to shout out some words of encouragement, hoping that they'd do the trick. "Hera...Hera. Hera! Heracro!" Shinya's words seemed to resonate with Heracross as well, as the Bug/Fighting type gave his new trainer a nod, flexed his muscles, and stared at the Aurora Pokemon with a fire in his eyes. "Heck yeah! That's more like it! Now, hit Suicune with a Tackle attack, Heracross!" At Shinya's command, Heracross made full use of his renewed resolve, flying full speed at Suicune once again, and slamming his body into the Water type with as much force as he could muster. "Hera...CRO!"

"What? Oh! My bad," Lei exclaimed when she took a closer look at spitfire and recognized him as not being a shuppet, "it must have been the stress and the white color," she added.
Marchbaby got a bit of a weird look, "why would it be weird with a status moves? We're a lot doing mostly that," she said and glanced at Nate at his question, "those mostly just work for your own pokemon, so even if I had a pokemon with Charge or something, you wouldn't benefit from it. That's why I'm focusing on decreasing Suicunes instead," Lei quickly explained and looked for her pokemon.
She frowned as she spotted the white bear just hanging around, "Hey! Inana! get those Fake tears going!" She shouted and glanced at the other pokemon, seemed like she was going to do the defense lowering with what the others liked to attack with. She sighed, this wasn't easy, why were they so few compared to the last time? Was it because it wasn't a lugia?

Inana had waited for had felt as a split sekund to see if the blue dog would answer the azumarill, it didn't look like it and then Lei shouted at her. Her lip quivered and soon she howled with tears running down her cheeks.

Zaiden shied away from the dark haired lady when she seemed to get upset with him. He didn’t know how to speak up for himself, especially during intense of tough situations. The beige lad’s mouth parted to speak, but only choked on his own words instead. After a while, the teenager would glance down at his feet and shuffle away from Leilani as he rubbed the back of his neck uncomfortably. Was this what we should expect around others? How would he make it very far in his journey, if his anxiety kept stealing the words right out of his mouth? Instead, he focused on his small mouse. Leaning down next to Tama, Zaiden began to clap his hands together and pointed to Tama’s allies. Tama glanced over to the Pokemon around them and nodded as it began to applaud and clapped, tapping its feet on the ground. “LETS GO TEAM!” It chanted over and over hoping to help the Heracross or the Litwick with its chants.

Nate looked on confused since he didn't know why Lei would mistake the white Pokemon for a Shuppet since it didn't look anything like one. He pulled out his pokedex and scanned the white Pokemon since he had no idea what it was.
"Battles are generally easier when the opponent's Pokemon are effected by a status move. But sometimes it doesn't help though." Nate was thinking of Pokemon that have guts as they do get stronger when inflicted with a status move. "I was more thinking of Reflect, Light Screen or even one of the Protect moves." He shrugged since they were options but he wasn't sure what sort of battled the others were, so there was always the chance they may have a Pokemon in the back that knew the move.
"Laxus, get over here." Nate said.
Laxus ran back to his trainer.
Nate pulled out a pokeball. "Mothra, I choose you."
Mothra the Wurmple appeared on the battlefield.
'You can do it, Mothra.' Laxus called out.

Suicune may have only taken a little nip at Heracross, but even that was more than enough to make the Bug/Fighting type wince and fall back. "Hera! Heracro!" Heracross cried out in pain, learning right then and there that the power of a legendary Pokemon was no joke. Still, it would take a lot more than that to make Heracross give up the fight, especially given the current circumstances. Marchbaby was still present and in this fight, and since he was, the Singlehorn Pokemon was too. So, after quickly shrugging off the damage he took from the Aurora Pokemon's jaws, Heracross put his game face back on and stood tall. "Cro! Cro! Heracro!" Still, both Heracross and Shinya knew that all the confidence in the world wouldn't be enough to help them overcome a legendary Pokemon on their own.

Fortunately for them, they weren't alone. Neither Shinya nor Heracross were paying much attention to the other trainers, but as soon as Zaiden's Azurill, Tama, started cheering, Heracross felt a sudden surge of energy. The energy coursed through the Singlehorn Pokemon's entire body, making him feel like he could take on any foe. "Heracro!" Heracross flexed his muscles and smiled, looking to be enjoying this new extra power. At first, Shinya was confused, raising an eyebrow at this sudden turn of events. But then, he glanced over at Zaiden and Tama, seeing that the Polka Dot Pokemon was using Helping Hand. "Not so bad." The Team Skull grunt commented, getting his grin back as he did, then turned to face Suicune once more. "Let's see whatcha can do with this new power, Heracross! Use Horn Attack again!" Heracross was more than happy to put his new power to the test, channeling all that new power into his horn, spreading his wings, then flying straight towards Suicune yet again. "Heracro! Cro!"

Despite the boneheaded mistake that made Spitfire waste a turn she luckily managed to avoid any damage from Suicune. The specter looked at the legendary Pokemon filled with confidence and ready to strike again. The young Litwick waited for Marchbaby to give the order to attack but before he did he finally started to realize something familiar with Shinya's Heeacross. " You know, I think I have seen that Heracross somewhere before. I wish I could remember where but maybe it will come back to me."

As he struggled to think of where he had seen Heracross he had a far easier time picking the Litwick's move this round." By my standards status moves are a huge departure hench why I considering it shocking that I used one. This round however we will return to the offensive. Spitfire use Night Shade." He then watched as Spitfire got ready to launch her attacks.

Tama bounced up and down on her tail. She was nervous and scared of the situation and also detested the other Pokemon that wanted to keep fighting this strange beast that stood before them. Why were they all fighting the majestic creature? Had they not tried to soothe it with their words enough? Watching how the Suicune nearly took out the Litwick with its hit, though, even the bouncing blue mouse agreed that it was at least somewhat dangerous. But still – maybe it was only protecting itself? Maybe they were the trespassers who needed to respect its space?

The small mouse bounced over towards the large Suicune on her tail. She would sit on the top of the round blue end of her tail and stare up at the impressive and immensely larger beast. “Mr…uhm..or Mrs..uhm..” She gulped, trying to straighten out her words as she tried to think of what to call this terrible beast. “We’re oh so sorry we hurt you and we didn’t mean to trespass, I promise!” She mustered in her cutest voice. She popped off her tail to wiggle it playfully around her body and squirmed like a toddler trying to ask its parent for a cookie. “How about we end this fight right here and we both promise not to hurt each other? Oh pleassseeyyy weessseeyyy Mr or Mrs big scary, brave beasty?!”

It had taken quite a bit of effort from all trainers and Pokemon present, but they had finally reached the halfway point. Suicune was really starting to feel their attacks and was beginning to look a little worn out as a result. Naturally, Shinya picked up on this right away, and continued to grin, deciding to take full advantage of any and all openings the legendary Pokemon gave him and Heracross. However, the Team Skull grunt also made sure to keep in mind that this was still a legendary Pokemon. No matter how worn out it became, the Aurora Pokemon was still a literal force of nature. Still, the combination of power and danger only served to elevate Shinya's level of excitement even further.

"Woo! We're comin' up on the halfway point, Heracross! And I don't know about you, but I'm feelin' good!" The Bug type trainer shouted out to his Pokemon, as that same Pokemon quickly got some distance between himself and Suicune yet again. "Hera! Cro! Cro!" The Singlehorn Pokemon gave Shinya a smile and a nod, informing him that he was beginning to enjoy himself as well, despite the fact that Marchbaby was still present. Neither of them truly realized it at the time, but Shinya's excitement was really starting to rub off on Heracross, pulling him right out of his slump and into a fighting spirit that burned even brighter than the sun in the sky above. "Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Let's hit 'em again, Heracross! Use Tackle!" Without missing a beat, Shinya gave Heracross his next command, and the Bug/Fighting type quickly carried it out, using all of his strength to do so. "Hera...cro!"
