Zaiden and Hihi rushed off to get away from the sand which pelted anyone who stayed too close, but they didn't look at where they went. Suddenly one of them felt the ground strangely soft and a moment later an annoyed nincada emerged complaining that they had been so rude to step on it. They’ve finally managed to get away from the swirling bits of sand and dirt! Zaiden knelt over with his hands clasped firmly on his knees, coughing heavily to clear his lungs of the worst of the sands. His eyes stung from the weather-based ‘attack’. As he managed to calm his throat, Zaiden raised his hands and began to rub his eyes, trying to clear them of the dirt and debris. Who was running around the National Park stirring up standstorms in their wake, anyways?! He glanced around, pressing a firm hand flat over his forehead to shield out the bright sun above, and searched the area to see a olive young adult busy battling against a large Beedrill, a tall man with curly brown hair battling against a giant cricket, and a young man barely entering his twenties battling wild Pokemon alongside a strange floating bug that looked like a mere shell of another Pokemon.
Zaiden and Hihi turned and walked around as they shuffled through the grass. They were wary, constantly casting glances back in the strange hippo’s direction, and worked quickly to press their way to the furthest reaches of the National Park. The sandstorm had been quite powerful in itself and the sands that swirled up hurt if you weren’t careful to protect your delicate features like your eyes. Zaiden didn’t want to find out what would happen if he was left under prolonged effects of the storm. Should he have brought protective gear for the storm just to catch some bugs?! Hihi hopped-walked beside him, searching through the grass for their next encounter. “Whose throwing the party?” She giggled, shaking her head and rubbing the top of her scalp with her hands to clear away bits of sand and dirt that clung to her fur.
Something moved underneath the tall grasses. “Hey, buddy!” A loud voice boomed from the tall grasses. Zaiden jumped back at the sound of a strange bug chittering away as Hihi leaped to the side and turned her head in every directions, though she couldn’t see who had said that. “I’m walkin’ here! Watch where you’re goin’!” The bug puffed up, hopping up over the tall blades of grass and twisted its head in different directions while waving its small arms wildly at Hihi. “Ain’t nobody ever taught you to look where yer goin’?!” It pushed and shoved its front limbs at Hihi, trying quite literally push her out of the way. It was angry and upset that they were so easily ready to trample right over the bug! Everyone was always so ready to trample the Nincada! And after having some strange lady with her zebra nearly stomp the Nincada to death, the bug had enough of this!
Hihi raised a paw to her head and scratched the top of her scalp. What was this strange little bug whose wings looked like they were way too small to support it in flight? “I’m sorry. We didn’t see you there! You see-“ She tried to apologize in earnest, though Nincada wasn’t having any of it. It puffed up and glared at Hihi angrily, waving its arms in the air as it lunged forward. “Sorry?! You’re sorry?!” It snapped and pointed towards the grasses all around them. “You’re gunna be sorry! If you didn’t see me, you better learn to look!” Hihi glared, puffing out her chest and beating it with her hands as she screamed loudly with a strange, guttural sound. “Oh, ho! Really?! Alright, bucko, let’s see what you’ve got!” She smirked, spitting out several balls of flames at her opponent. “Didn’t know I had to watch out for tiny, microscopic bed bugs in the grass!” She laughed.

The blast of sand in Hihi's face was an unwelcome retort. Though, it did little good for the bug versus the onslaught of embers that came in response. It did its best not to squeal from the lick of fire, however, it definitely wasn't going to stick around for more.  Hihi grew 3 levels to Level 15! She's trying to learn Fury Swipes; forget an old move? WHAT'S THIS!?!  Hihi's trying to evolve; allow it? If so, Hihi can learn Mach Punch; forget an old move? |

Bright red and orange flames danced on top of the cicada’s flesh. The small white Nincada green iris rings widened in alarm. It flopped on the ground and rolled about in the grass, flailing its limps while screaming out in terror and pain. Hihi tilted her head and raised one hand to scratch the top of her scalp curiously. What a strange creature this bug was? So full of ammo and moxie two seconds ago, and now it was flipping about as though it had contracted a strange cranial disease that caused it to go mentally insane. “So we’re done here. You and I?” Hihi waved her other hand in the white cicada’s direction as if shooing the bug off, who rolled back over and began kicking large piles of dirt at her.
What in the world?! Hihi hopped backwards and turned around to thrust her fanny in the air while laying her head on the ground sideways to stare at the Nincada. The small bug growled underneath its breath, trying its best to make it nearly impossible for Hihi to strike it once more. “Never!” It’s voice rose high above the raucous of the other contestants who were screaming and hollering about the various bugs they had found. Someone screeched that a Shelmet had been discovered far off in the distance, though neither Zaiden nor Hihi could worry about that in this second. Life seemed to continue on even as Hihi studied her opponent through the sand and debris and managed to scorch the small Nincada with her flames once more, sending it scurrying back through the tall grasses once more. “Ok, I give up! You’re crazy, lady! I can’t take the heat!” It huffed and puffed loudly in protest.
Hihi rolled back onto her feet properly and turned towards Zaiden with a curious look. Would they continue their trek around the expansive park to see what else they may uncover within the tall grasses? Or could they settle down with their catch and be satisfied with the Pinsir from their previous battle? Hihi sighed, shaking her head in disappointment, as Zaiden stood almost as perplexed about the moment as she felt. Zaiden turned to stare at his small orange monkey and gently patted her head, pressing the small pouf of fur at the top down. Hihi flared her nostrils and slapped his arm away as she jumped backwards to pull herself out of Zaiden’s reach. He was messing up her hair! She immediately licked her palms and began fixing her fur-do once more into its classic style as a strange white light surrounded her.
“Wait a minute?!” Hihi screeched and flipped about in the grass, causing Zaiden to raise a curious eyebrow. Her arms stretched out and the muscles underneath her skin swelled as her physical body morphed into her new form. A tail shot out from the back of her body where just a small puff of fire spiraled from. The fire transfixed itself to the end of her tail and burned with a bright, hot intensity almost like that of the sun itself. Hihi spun around in shocked surprised and hopped up onto the ledge of the large fountain to stare down at her own reflection. “Wait?! What happened?! Who put Abu here?!” She reached out and smacked her reflection with one hand and then reached up and pinched her cheek. “Woah?! That’s me?! Can’t be! I’m not fit for that media outlet – I’d be canceled by day two!” She jested with herself, as she slowly came to terms with her new form.

Hihi's evolution did not go unnoticed and a bug fluttered over and landed on the edge of the fountain beside her. The illumise leaned calmly on the ledge towards Hihi and smiled seducingly. "Hello big boy," she greet and let her eyes run up and down Hihi's new exterior clearly liking what she saw, "what will you say to do a dance for me?" she winked. The illumise would brush off all protests or arguments and point to Hihi's tail, "so what? With that shining end you'll outshine any competition!"Shiny: l01Fvfs|1-421-42

Zaiden stared at the strange looking blue bug with small translucent wings on its back. He wasn’t quite sure what this new bug was or what he was staring at. He’d never seen one before and thought to quickly pull out his Pokedex. Zaiden pointed the small red device towards the Illumise and began scanning the small bug type Pokemon to learn as much as he possibly could. “ Illumise, the Firefly Pokémon. Illumise uses Sweet Scent to lure in Volbeat, having them draw geometric patterns in the sky.” So this Pokemon focused most of its attention on a totally different Pokemon…but seemed infatuated with his newly evolved primate? Weird.
Hihi jumped backwards and looked around. Was this new bug talking to her? “Miss…I think…” It began looking her up and down like she were some type of snack. It felt rather embarrassing to Hihi. She wanted to correct the bug but also had a wild hair crawl up her backside as she smiled sweetly and leaned in towards the blue bug. “I’ll be your ‘big boy’ if you’ll be my ‘little miss’.” Hihi smirked, puffing out large embers that spiraled around in the air. She would launch them towards her opponent, hoping to score a direct hit and singe Illumise’s flesh.

The blue bug spun around Hihi in the air and chased after her tail. The burning flame at the tip of the primate’s tail caught Illumise’s attention and attracted her. She could almost reach out and…snap! Every time! Whenever Illumise got close enough to the flames, Hihi would yank them away from her in the last second, spinning around. “Just let me have a better look, cutie!” Illumise winked, fluttering through the air ever closer, only to have Hihi’s flame hit her in the chest. “Hold up, honey! We haven’t even exchanged names to head past first base!” She giggled playfully, before being attacked with more flames.
Hihi jumped backwards for a second and stared at the small blue bug. Wat spunk and personality! She was definitely impressed by how well this little creature managed to cling onto what little health it had. “I’m surprised you know what bases are!” Hihi waved her tail teasingly in front of Illumise and motioned for the blue bug to approach her. “Considering how blinded by the light you are right now! What’s up anyways, honey? Hoping for an anniversary present?” The primate smirked, leaning her tail closer as a distraction, as she vomited another spitball of fire at Illumise, hoping to burn the bug more with her flames.

Illumise fluttered around Hihi as her eyes stayed transfixed to the bright reddish-orange flames that leaped from the base of her tail. The blue bug pressed her hands against her mouth and blew kisses at the medium-sized monkey, always flying just out of reach to keep away from Hihi’s physical frame. “I’ve got your present for you, sweetie!” She giggled, flying in close to struggle and slam against Hihi’s body with all of her might. The bug actually shoved herself up underneath Hihi, in between her arms, then fought for a way back out. “Oh no! Oh jeez! Help me, help me!” She screamed in loud fits of raging laughter.
Hihi jumped back and rubbed her face, arms, and sides where the Illumise’s attack hit her. That really hurt! She shook her head and gently slapped the sides of her face with her hands as a devious grin covered her maw. She couldn’t let Illumise get the better of her! Instead, she wink and puckered her lips up tight, blowing kisses back at the other Pokemon. “Why don’t you come here and give me a nice, big, wet one big gal?!” She giggled. Hihi tossed her hands over her head and wrapped them around her whole head in an upside-down heart-shaped decide as she winked at the other Pokemon. Once Illumise was close enough to her, Hihi would spit more flaming embers from her lips at the small bug, hoping beyond all hopes to burn her with her fire.

There wasn’t much left of the bug now. Hihi’s eyes widened as a large smile painted over her face. She hopped across the ground on her hands and feet in an awkward gate after Illumise as the bug spun around her, chasing the light of her tail. Zaiden watched silently, impressed at how well Illumise fought and struggled to remain in the fight. Even though fire seemed like the natural option to cure the bugs that roamed within the National Park, he was constantly taken by small surprises at the resilience and determination of some bugs.
Illumise giggled as she pressed her small hands against the sides of her face and shook her head. The bright light source was teasing her and trying to lure her closer. Every time Hihi’s tail waved in her field of vision, her eyes followed it with great delight. Oh, to be a fly on the wall of Hihi’s travels! “I’ll be happy to, you big cutie!” Hihi smirked as she used her tail to try and charm the bug a little closer every time. It seemed like a great tool to use as a decoy. What was up about her flames, anyways? “But I gotta admit something…” Illumise blinked. “What?” And Hihi laughed, “Singe doesn’t suit you very well as an ensemble piece!” She smirked, shooting another round of hot flames at her opponent.

The illumise tried one last attempt to charm Monferno and win her ower, but to no avail and she got burned for her effort. Hihi showed the flirty illumise how great she is and grows +3 levels to [Lv 18]! She can learn Fury Swipes if she forgets another move.

Zaiden blinked and stared as the large praying mantis appeared over the tall grasses. It sharpened its twoo scythes together and glared angrily at Zaiden, as though the lad were personally in its way. Some kids screamed in the distance and seemed to dance on their tippy-toes as they pointed and stared at the large bug. Zaiden couldn't see what they saw in it partially since he already owned his own Scyther and partially since it looked like it was ready to take him out of this world. "Please Ember." He whispered to Hihi under his breath.
The combative comedic monkey leaped forward and slammed her hands down on the hard ground underneath her. "With pleasure." Hihi grinned from ear to ear. She hopped closer and spun around to spank her butt in Scyther's direction. Then, she would wave to him as if gesturing Scyther to approach her if it thought it was brave enough. "Come on! Man, what Halloween movie special did you crawl out of? Nightmare on Cherrygrove Street?" She laughed nervously, before spitting large fireballs in the flying bug's direction. She had to hope that they were enough to singe the bug and scare it off from confrontation. Because those blades looked a lot sharper than she wanted to personally find out!

The slightly faster monferno launches an ember hitting the scyther. Hihi's first ember attack leaves a nasty burn on the scyther. The flying arm bladed bug gets hit hard with fire attack but is able to fly in with an attack of its own with wing attack. The second ember, however, the scyther couldn't survive so it goes down with black spots over it. BCC Encounter

The angry volbeat flies closer to Hihi only to watch another bug to go down in flames, literally. This infuriates the volbeat enough to challenge this fire menace to a fight. 1-42·1-42 |
