As Selenia walks out of Professor Elm's lab, she notices the light snowfall. The wind isn't blowing so the large wet flakes are gently falling onto the ground. Times like these makes her wish she had one of Anton's fire types to help keep her warm. She would also take Anton's arm around her body but she knows he is on his own journey as she is on hers. This makes her wonder what he is up to so she sends him a text message not wanting to interrupt any battles he may be in.
"Hey Anty, I hope things are going well for you wherever you are. Have you joined IPF yet? I think you mention something about a cyandaquil. Whatever happen to that Pokemon? Please try to be safe wherever you are at. I'm glad you got out of your shell but you still got to be careful. Before I forget, I got a pichu egg from helping Mr. Pokemon. I think you have one from somewhere so now you can have two. If I remember right, Pichu have to grow up some before being able to mate if this second one is of a different gender than your first. I'll look more into it just to make sure."
After looking at her text, she sends it to Anton. He was never the best at responding to emails when she sent them but figured he was busy with school. It also doesn't help she only sent a couple to him due to her being busy with coordinating. As she continues to walk, she notices Ringer being able to keep up with her quite well as if the thick fur coat is keeping him warm. Muddy, being part ground, is a little behind but able to catch up quickly if she stops. It is Hydran which concerns her as the turtle Pokemon is shivering as he tries to trudge along. Selenia walks back a few feet and bends down to look at Hydran. She sees a large drip coming from his nose. It is hard to tell if it is melted snow or from Hydran directly. The answer comes when Hydran sneezes.
"Oh my, I didn't realize you caught a cold somewhere. Maybe the fog did something to you. I know I told you I would let you stay out, Hydran but I think you need to rest in your Pokeball."
Selenia grabs his Pokeball and the turtle Pokemon doesn't put up a fight as she recalls him. She then turns around and focuses on the other two.
"I think I will keep you two out since it seems you are handling the weather a bit better. At the same time, if you do get sick, you are going back in your ball. Muddy, I expect you to be completely honest with me and try NOT to hide being sick again. Last time you almost dehydrated yourself because you kept on practicing. I won't have that same mistake happen again."
They both nod at her as they continue down Rt 29. Maybe this time she will catch more Pokemon that Anton may not care to have but easy to take care of as well. Now, if she does come across something he may interested in, she will definitely try to get those.
(553 words, up for any Pokemon but will attempt SOS as well as fishing in this thread)

The snowfall was an unfavorable beast to most of the wild Pokemon that inhabited the nearby route. Small brown birds with bright pink wings cawed restlessly as they flitted about through the tree branches. Some dived at nearby purple rodents and small pink bugs, scaring most of them away as they did so. They duked against each other, clashing in the skies as they rallied their troops to fight off the opposing flocks that encroached on their territory. Winter meant that food would be scarce, which put most of the woodland critters on edge. Still, as Selenia traveled with her Pokemon in toe, many of the furry rodents that remained would thump their tails against the ground and chatter in alarm to warn the rest. Some of the same pink winged birds landed on nearby branches and hopped back and forth uneasily while watching her. If she so much as glanced at them, they would puff themselves up proudly and caw at the top of their lungs in warning. It was meant to deter her from approaching them or challenging them – and with easily ten or so birds all hovering somewhere in the treetops, ready to attack in unison should she make the wrong move in their direction – it was a strategy that often worked in their favor. They were aggressive and very territorial, and would sacrifice themselves to ensure the safety of their nests even when there were no clutches of eggs for them to defend. This was their home and so they made sure everybody knew it. However, there was a simple Pokemon that lurked all by himself in the distance. It would only be after Selenia managed to step away from the beaten path of bird territory that the skittish meerkat would slowly inch its way out from underneath a thick bramblebush. It’s large, scared eyes searched around tirelessly for the first sign of trouble. When Selenia was close enough for it to make out the general shape and presence of a trainer, the furry brown mammal popped up on the top of its tail and hollered as though it were a Banshee with a deafening scream. Hidden meerkats popped up all over the place and darted in every which direction – some dropping little trinkets they’d uncovered underneath the snow as they did so. Mostly half eaten berries and bits of bark that they scavenged to help them survive the winter. “You better leave!” The sentry warned, plopping back down on all fours and bristling its fur up so make itself look larger and more intimidating. “I mean it! This ain’t where you belong, so get!” Behind it was a small mound of mostly useless forest litter that it had collected, hoping to carry it all back to its nest with the other Sentrets so that they could continue to survive through the harsh winter months. “You don’t want me to have to fight you!” A calculated bluff that the wild Pokemon hoped and prayed it wouldn’t have to live up to. But a bluff that was meant to buy its friends enough time to dart off to the safety of their nests. Sentret had spent most of their gathering time battling off other would-be claimants such as Rattata that tried to steal their collection of food, and it feared Selenia and her Pokemon might try to do the same. A Wild Sentret appeared! Level 8. What will Selenia and her team do? Shiny? xArcbJLj1-421-42

As Selenia continues on her familiar path of Rt 29, she runs into another sentret. She debates about letting Ringer fight one of his own kind until Ringer stops. He jumps up on his tail standing as tall as possible, claps twice, and then lays both hands flat over his heart. Ringer than proceeds to bow a little before getting back on his feet.
>>Most honored warrior, it is a great honor to see you again. As with our treaty I will not challenge you but one of my companions might.<<
This action caught Selenia by surprise. What is Ringer doing? Does it look like he is stepping aside? Before she asks, Hydran starts speaking.
>>You are forgoing a chance to battle? Does this sentret mean that much to you? What you mean by most honored warrior?<<
>>His family and mine had a small turf war for a patch of trees and bushes not too far from here. His family won but at great cost on both sides. He realized the damage and broke a peace deal so both sides could survive. As part of that peace, no one on either side could battle the other regardless. I may be a tamed Pokemon now but I still honor the pact.<<
>>So you have no problems of me facing this sentret? Will it cause any riff with this pact?<<
>>If you think you are brave enough to face the warrior. I would expect the warrior to enjoy a challenge from one of the water starter Pokemon especially one who is a little away from home.<<
>>I may be from the neighboring region but Selenia did get me here from the professor.<<
Muddy walks up between the two of them and takes a good look at the sentret in front of them. She then looks Hydran up and down.
>>This sentret does look tough so don't make things too easy on it. If you lose, I'll have to go in and show you how a real water starter battles.<<
Hydran gives as mean of a look at possible towards Muddy. All she does is smirks with her chin up at an angle. Hydran is tempted to tackle his fellow water starter. What Muddy doesn't realize is Hydran is starting to get feelings for her.
>>Oh I will show you who is the best water starter on this team!!<<
Before Selenia could make sense of what her three Pokemon are talking about, Hydran takes out his frustration with Muddy by shooting a strong stream of water towards the honored warrior sentret. The blast makes Muddy smile at the strength of it. Ringer stands back a little to watch how the warrior handles the squirtle. Selenia looks at what transpired and is still a bit lost on what happen. Apparently her Pokemon figured it out between them who is going to battle. Ringer steps back to be on Selenia's right side. Hydran takes the front position with Muddy walking away until she finds a little mud mixed in with slush. She proceeds to play in it some while keeping tabs on the new fight. All Selenia can do is shake her head at her Pokemon.
"Well, looks like I have a fight on my hand and it seems to be Hydran. I hope Anton can create a device to help humans understand Pokemon because I sure wish I knew what you three said to each other. Whatever the conversation was, I'm glad you three are still getting along for most part. Now, Hydran, let us do our best against this other sentret. We do have other Pokemon I would like to catch but not this one."

The sentry could see that its bluff and attempt to scare off the human and her companions had failed to work as it had intended. The finer details of Pokemon politics, diplomacy, and territorial disputes may have been lost on Selenia, but it was likely clear that now they were not going to be able to get out of this situation without some kind of fight. The wild Sentret paused for a moment, finally recognizing Ringer for who he was. "I was wondering where you had gone, old friend. I didn't expect to find you in the company of a human, but it's a welcome surprise. I'll fight your champion, and send you and your master back from whence you came." the sentry squeaked at Ringer and Hydran, its round and beady eyes narrowing in on the turtle. It was clear that it was outnumbered by Selenia and her teammates; it was a lone Sentret, after all, and they were an entire team of friends and allies. But still, Ringer was right; it could not deny them this trial by combat without appearing weak. The sentret bounced on its tail for a moment, building up a bit of momentum and energy into its movements before launching itself forward, running at an advanced speed. Moving quickly enough that Hydran would have struggled to keep up with the Scout Pokemon's movements, the wild Sentret slammed its fluffy body into Hydran's shell, knocking the Squirtle back a few inches in the snow and dirt. As the Sentret landed and began scurrying back to where it had begun its turn, Hydran welled up and released the blast of water that he had been charging up. The blast of water cut through the cold winter air, slamming into the mid-section of the Sentret and knocking it onto the ground. Sentret got quite a bit of distance from the attack as it was propelled backwards, quickly righting itself as the stream of water was relented. Sentret shook itself off, trying to dry itself off before any of the frost began to truly settle into its fur. >>I am glad Ringer is on our team now. Selenia is a good human who is trying her hardest to help us grow. If Ringer shows you respect than you must also be a good Pokemon. It is sad that Pokemon fight each other for territory. It wouldn't surprise me if certain areas gets overcrowded with Pokemon. If that is the case, it is a good thing for humans to capture a few to help reduce the population strain on the land. I also think battles should be fun as well as educational. It is never good when loss of life happens regardless who the opponents are.<<
Selenia watches as Hydran gets to be a bit of a talker with the other sentret. She knew Hydran is a talker with her Pokemon and Anton's but is a bit caught off guard he would be with an opponent. She smiles at this interaction but also knows this is still a battle.
"Hydran, I am glad you are trying to make a new friend but remember this is still a battle. Let us use another water gun on this sentret. Nothing against this sentret but I do have some other Pokemon I want to catch unless Ringer really wants his friend to join us."
Selenia looks down at Ringer who looks up at her when he hears his name and the comment. Ringer than looks over at the warrior and knows it would be best for this sentret to remain here as the guardian of the area. Sure, going with Selenia would strengthen the sentret but also weaken the sentrets in the area. He then looks back up at Selenia and shakes his head no. Selenia then nods in agreement remembering she has a limited number of Pokeballs.
"Alright, so we don't capture this one. I may still use these adrenaline orb things to practice the special summoning they are supposed to do. I heard there is a flying type in this area which would interest both Anton and myself even though we got one already. If the bird doesn't show up than maybe other Pokemon will which will help you grow, Hydran."
Selenia digs through her bag trying to find the proper orb while the battle continues. As she digs through, her phone goes off and she sees the text response from Anton. Seeing him call her cutie makes her smile. Then she reads the rest of the message and hopes he takes care of himself in the cave. It is good that he is keeping her interest in mind when it comes to catching Pokemon as well as letting her borrow any of his from his box. She might have to take him up on that but would prefer to use her own Pokemon for the time being.
Thanks, Anty, for thinking about me. You might actually need to borrow one of mine once you get out of the cave to wash off. Please be careful, my boyfriend, in that cave. I don't want you to slip or fall. If you did, I suspect your Pokemon to help you up and get medical help if you hurt yourself badly. You are also thinking smart about needing a bit more variety in your team even though I know Strong Tooth gives you a bit more. I am surprised you are taking this detour prior to your IPF meeting unless you are thinking this steel type will be needed in the upcoming tests.
After looking at her text, she sends it hoping Anton isn't too far into the cave to get it. She is clueless on how good the range is for cell phones and other mobile devices. Part of her wants to see him but also knows both have their own paths to follow. Anton has a clear idea of where he is heading while Selenia is still trying to figure things out even if she knows the gym leaders will have to be faced eventually. She does get the occasional message from the breeding center they set up together about Pokemon growing and eggs appearing as well as hatching under the tender loving care of the workers. This is good but still doesn't quite give her a personal goal like she had as a coordinator. At the thought of her former career, she reaches down and rubs the leg which was broke about a year ago.

"You didn't tell your new friends about our speed?" The opponent Sentret spoke to Ringer. "Besides our mutual enemies of Rattatas, we fight with our speed. That's why our territory scuffle ends as quick as it starts." The brown Pokemon turned toward Hydran, educating the Sentret's new friend. "Let me show you again!" The Sentret huffed and expanded itself, and then positioned its tail carefully before crawling quickly toward Hydran. The turtle Pokemon was hit, but Hydan held his balance and wasn't knocked too far. The brown sentry was fast indeed, but the Squirtle narrowed their distance afterward and shot a splashy stream of water at the Sentry, drenching its fluffy furs. "Overcrowded?" The Sentret sounded offended at that. "Maybe your trainer can help those Rattata. They have a bigger families than we do. What do you say? If you reduce their numbers, it would help us to take over their territory too!"Wild Encounter Weather: Clear [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Sentret LV 8 HP 38% [10/26]

After watching the fight between Hydran and this sentret, Selenia goes back to hunt for her orbs. Thanks to the weather, it is hard for her to see much in her purse. Eventually she finds the orbs and grabs one. She then looks up and decides against the orb partly because she wasn't sure if she would hit the other sentret with everything going on. If she understood the orbs, it would put Hydran in unfair fight and as it is, looks like he is holding his own against this sentret but only barely.
"Okay, Hydran, I decided against using these special summoning orbs. You probably have enough on your hands right now. I think we should keep up on the water pressure with another water gun."
Hydran turns around and looks up at Selenia. He nods and uses water gun, again. Thankfully water types don't have to usually worry about running out of water unless they are in a desert. In this fog, there will be plenty of moisture just in case Hydran does run a bit dry.
>>You do have a decent amount of speed. Squirtles aren't known for their speed but our hard shells. I do know of a fast rattata who belongs to another trainer. It is possible he came from this same area a while back. As for clearing out more rattatas from this area, I don't know if Selenia is interested. I think she only has her eyes one one or two Pokemon who live here. <<
Ringer looks at the other sentret remembering some of the races he had with his family. A smile appears on his face as he bonces up and down on his tail.
>>Yeah, we do try to pride ourselves on our speed just like the rattata in this area. For both species is serves us well especially with avoiding the pidgey and spearow in the area. Usually they go after the bugs but once a while they get brave and attempt to nab one of us. The other thing we race after are the berries and nuts in this area. Many of the bushes and trees produce them but still only so many especially this time of year with the early signs of the berries starting to show.<<
After reflecting on the boasting of speed, an idea came to his mind.
>>Most Honored Warrior, may I propose an idea for future confrontations with the rattata in this area? How about the sentrets race them instead of battling? The only concern is if the race is interrupted by our mutual enemy of the bird Pokemon. To help prevent that, there would have to be sentries posted which is one thing sentrets excel over any Pokemon in this area.<<
Hydran looks over at his friend surprised he would propose such an idea in the middle of a battle. Such ideas would make more sense post or prior to battle. He shakes his his head he builds up water pressure again for another water gun. Hydran is hoping all of this talk is distracting the sentret the team is facing. The built up water pressure comes out of Hydran's mouth in a solid stream coming straight for this sentret warrior. After he releases the stream, Hydran prepares for whatever move this sentret has in mind. Selenia continues to listen to the discussion between her Pokemon and this other sentret. Whatever they are discussing seems to be a bit tense between them. Hopefully things will calm back down when this fight is done. As she waits, she brings her Pokedex up to remind herself of what Pokemon are most likely on this route.

The sentret paused to looked suspiciously at Selenia, "what did she want to do with that? She didn't want to chatch me, right? Summon what?" It asked and glanced briefly at Hydran, had she planned on calling out more pokemon and fight unvaliantly? Make it a mess by calling a lot more pokemon into the fray and let them all battle each other? That even only happened rarely between groups of wild pokemon, and most of the time it was just very short fights which split up before they really started. It didn't make sense though, hadn't they just said that Selenia was a nice trainer? The sentret grinned to Ringer, "yes! Only the rattatas can match us! But we also are the best scouts and the first to notice dangers! Did you know that the other pokemon around here looks to us to see if an area is safe?" It asked proudly. Another thing the sentrets often did, which Ringer obviously would know but they usually didn't talk about, was that one would act as a distraction while the rest got away. Exactly what the sentret was doing here, even though the distraction battle had turned out to be much more pleasant and safe than it had expected. The sentret looked puzzled at Hydran, "could be fun, but how will it help us if they overpopulate and take over the whole forest by sheer number? Besides we usually don't fight, only races to see who gets the food first, but its getting hard when they are so many." It sighed a bit. It waved dismissively with a hand, "the birds are no trouble, i don't remember when they were last successful," it grinned mischievously. The water gun took the normal type by surprise, and it was thrown to the ground. It quickly jumped back up on its feet, looking embarrasset and avoiding Ringer's eyes. "I meant to do that," it growled as a poor excuse. It brushed its arm off and then shook vigorously to get the water out of the its fur. It wrinkled its nose thoughtfully as it looked at Hydran, "good shot kid, good shot. Tell me, what are you doing to make up for your lack of speed?"Wild Encounter Weather: Clear [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Sentret LV 8 HP 12% [3/26]

Selenia is noticing how wet the water gun attacks are getting this sentret. She knows how thick the fur is but still doesn't want this one have troubles drying off. It is also obvious how tired this one is getting from the fight. There is probably a high chance that any move will knock it out or at least convince it to stop fighting. Part of her admires how much fight this sentret has put up but knows she has a limited room at the nursery to house Pokemon.
"Alright, Hydran, let us end this honorable fight. Your opponent has put up a great effort but is obvious this sentret is getting tired and a bit drenched. Let us change things up with a solid tackle. Who knows, you might knock some of the water out of the fur. Once the fight is done, maybe you can say congrats in whatever fashion Pokemon do it."
Hydran looks back at his trainer and then at his opponent. This Sentret has fought with honor that Ringer hinted at. Hydran wasn't quite sure what Selenia had in mind initially but glad this fight will have an honorable ending.
>>It has been a pleasure battling you. I see why you are the champion and defender of this area's sentrets. Now I think it is time to end this fight but I'll do it with a move you probably know all to well. As for speed issues, my particular species isn't known for speed so rarely do we ever consider it. We prefer our hard shells to withstand most attacks.<<
Hydran charges in his slow squirtle way towards the sentret. He braces for the impact from the tackle. Ringer watches as his new friend attempts to hit the champion in slow motion. He agrees that the champion has put up a great fight but is definitely tired.
>>There is a reason why we are given the nickname of being scout Pokemon. I was the lead Pokemon for this team not too long ago on our trip down here from Cherrygrove in the fog. It was a challenge especially when we encountered an evil trainer in a black jump suit. It had a red R on the front of the shirt. Hopefully the bad trainers won't ever come down here but if you ever see someone with a big red R on their clothing, stay as far away from them as possible.<<
Ringer than jumps up on his tail enjoying how much height it gives him and the little bounce as well.
>>Our tails come in handy for our look out jobs as well. I've seen you use yours in battle as well.<<
Selenia is enjoying the banter between her Pokemon and the opponent sentret. Muddy is getting a bit impatient.
>>Are you two done talking so you can finish the fight? My offer of coming in is on the table. I know you are trying to show off for Selenia but you are moving a bit slow now. I probably would have finished this fight an attack or two ago.<<
An irritated Ringer looks back at Muddy. It is a little surprising the other water starter would give Hydran grief but Muddy did offer to be in the fight instead of Hydran.
>>I think Hydran is doing a fine job. The champion is a champion for a reason. This has been an excellent match for both combatants.<<
>>At least Selenia let Hydran not use up all of the water in his body. Some may think us water types have an endless amount of water but we don't. If anything, Hydran over there might be needing a good swim in the creek that is nearby.<<
Hydran tries his best to ignore the comments from Muddy. He knows he is a bit slow but at same time not really sure who is truly faster in a foot race if he and Muddy did one on land. For both of them, swimming would probably be more fair use of their speed.

The 'champion' of the Sentrets took all of this in stride. It was a fighter, and one that would never be willing to give up on a fight just because of it not going in its favor, but it could see the writing on the walls. It was not meant to win today, not against this Squirtle that had somehow earned the loyalty and friendship of so many other Pokemon. It did not belong to some herd of Pokemon like this wild Sentret did, but it seemed to have its own herd all the same in Selenia's team. "Yes, I'll keep an eye out for any of these 'red-R' people you saw. We will run them out of the forest if we must!" the champion offered, a sort of united front. If these people were truly evil and bad enough to warrant such a warning, than it would be their duty to protect the other Pokemon upon this route. The Sentrets were not wholly against people coming into the wilderness or even being caught by Trainers, but they would not sit by and abide evil Trainers like these 'Rockets' to trample through their homes and do as they please. This was no place for evil deeds. Still, there was a battle going on. Selenia's other Pokemon had a point, even if they were beginning to seem a little impatient. The Sentret prepared itself to launch forward, leaping into another Tackle aimed at Hydran. Hydran had been weakened slightly, both by damage and by the effects of its cute growling earlier, so there still existed a chance at the Sentret winning. It had to believe that on some level, launching itself forward. But before long, Hydran swelled up, releasing another burst of water aimed at the Sentret. The wild Pokemon took the full brunt of the aquatic blast, being launched back and sent rolling through the grass and the dirt. It was a direct hit, and now the Sentret lay in the grass, unconscious and unable to fight any longer. If Selenia were so inclined, she could take the Sentret with her, to give Ringer someone else to train against; or she could leave it to be returned to its family, in order to protect the wilds.
Hydran fought the good fight and won! He gained +3 levels! Hydran is now Level 11! Hydran is trying to learn Rapid Spin!

Before leaving the area, Ringer walks up towards the Champion and bows. >>It has been a great honor to see you again, Champion. You fought well and I hope you will learn quite a bit from this encounter. I ask of you to continue to protect our kind here from whoever may threaten sentrets.<<After bidding good bye, Ringer caught up with Selenia and the rest of the group. She is proud of how Hydran handled the other sentret.
"You did an excellent job back there, Hydran. I still don't understand all of you but am learning your habits and mannerisms. It seemed Ringer knew that sentret back there. Whoever the sentret was, it did put up a good fight. I wonder who else we will meet on this route."
Hydran is smiling from ear to ear from the praise of Selenia. He then gets a quick gentle shove from Muddy who is also smiling at him. Hydran turns to see the smile and Muddy nods towards him.
>>You did finish the fight even though I know I would have gotten it done sooner. I've got a feeling you will make a great water partner. How about this, I get the next one unless Selenia thinks one of the birds needs out to stretch the wings.<<
Hydran looks at Muddy surprised at the praise but very appreciative of it. Hydran also agrees the battle could have went quicker with the more experienced Muddy but glad he got the chance for battle. As for the next one, Hydran didn't mind sharing the combat with the other water starter. What seemed to have started as a slight rivalry for Selenia's attention and affection may turn out to be a great partnering with the other water starter.
>>Sure, I have no problems with that, Muddy. I did forget about the birds Selenia has since she hasn't released them for a while.<<
Ringer looks back at the two water starters being glad to be part of this group. Sure it was nice to see his old friend who seems to be doing well. As they continue to travel, Selenia appreciates the clear skies and warming temperatures.

As the group continued to travel in Route 29, they eventually came across a young Wurmple rearranging some branches on the ground. The sky was clear with little to no clouds, and the sun wasn't piercingly boiling everyone alive. It was a peaceful and calm day. The Wurmple was moving quickly crawling on its multiple legs, and biting onto branches with its mouth as it continued to rearrange the branches. If anyone came up closer, it seemed to mumbling something. "Okay, if I do it this way, there's 45% that it will give me a disadvantage... Hm...."No one was sure what it was doing, as there weren't any Spearow or Pidgey around attacking it either. It was completely lost in thought. It continued to mumble to itself, as if it was planning something. "Well, if I re-arrange like this, then I can launch an attack with some success... but it will be... 65%. Darn it, this will be easier if I can fly or climb a tree." Was it planning to attack the flying type Pokemons? World Domination? Johto Domination? Pokemon Domination? Human Domination? Perhaps, Selenia and her Pokemon could try to distract this calculated Wurmple and remind it to carry the 2, or 3.

Selenia is surprised to see a purple wurmple. Last she knew wurmple were red in color. After staring at it, she finally remembers from her classes and meeting a coordinator in Hoenn that some Pokemon have a rare genetic condition which gives them a different color. The term they use for it is called shiny. The term probably makes sense for some and she can see it working for this purple wurmple. She also admits it is a pretty purple even though it being blue would been better. One problem she could have is if her birds catch scent of this Pokemon that they will attack it on smell. She probably should release them to let them fly around but not against this one. Instead, she grabs a pokeball from her backpack making sure it is an empty one.
"Alright, Muddy, I think you haven't had a chance to battle much. I want you to use as light of a tackle on this wurmple as possible. If anything, go up to the little critter and have a nice chat with it. Maybe when you tackle it, make it more of a gentle shove with your nose or fin as if you are more playing with it than actual battle."
Muddy smiles at the thought of getting into battle finally after watching Ringer and Hydran have their shots. The thought of going easy doesn't suit Muddy but upon closer inspection of the defenseless Pokemon, a gentle nudge might put it into the mood to actually fight. Muddy walks up to the wurmple who still seems oblivious to the presence of anyone as it remains in gross in building something.
>>Hey you, what are you doing? It looks like you are trying to build something but for what reason?<<
As the wurmple continues to ignore Muddy, she does what Selenia suggested and attempts to nudge (tackles) the worm Pokemon with her fin. Not wasting a moment, Selenia then tosses a Pokeball hoping to catch this shiny. It would be her first shiny Pokemon but one she may have to let go depending on her bird Pokemon. Hydran and Ringer watches as the so called battle starts. If this plan works out, the battle will be short lived. The biggest concern is the bird Pokemon get loose and jump into the fight. Ringer and Hydran keeps eyes on those Pokeballs more than the easy fight. Thankfully none of the three Pokeballs holding those three have moved. Whoever had them for a while must have tired them out quite a bit to remain in their Pokeballs.
(Words 432 all to eggs, Pokeball already deducted, Muddy used Tackle as gently as possible)

The bright purple caterpillar was so lost in its moment of planning that it didn’t initially notice Selenia or her Pokemon. It sunk its small teeth into the rough bark of the tiny twig and pulled it as hard as it could so that it could curve the twig back around and twist it. Once it finally managed to get one twisted around in a long spiral, it turned to another branch and tugged that one backwards so hard it snapped into two pieces. “What? No! Now I’ll have 25% chance!” Wurmple huffed angrily in a loud whisper while shaking its head disapprovingly. It spun around and began crawling across the dusty ground towards a pile of other sticks, before stopping dead in its tracks as Muddy spoke to it. What was this strange looking…fish? Was it even a fish, or something totally different? Wurmple wasn’t aware of such oddly looking creatures living anywhere near this area, so it confused the brightly colored bug for a second. “Oh…uhm…” It flustered, wandering if its plans were safe with another Pokemon. When Muddy didn’t act aggressive, Wurmple decided that he must be safe. “Building a battle machine to help me win the fights against my predators!” It announced proudly. As Muddy nudged Wurmple on the side a thought occurred to the strategic little bug. Maybe it could show this strange Pokemon just what its contraption could do! “Here…I’ll show you…” It immediately repaired the broken parts with a new branch and crawled inside of its own contraption. Wurmple would pull on a small piece of vine, that would then launch the Wurmple directly into Muddy where it slammed its horned head into the mudfish’s side with all of its might! “See! Oh..darn…you’re still standing. I guess I need to work on it some mo– AH!” Within a second, Selenia’s Poke Ball gobbled it up in the blink of an eye. Selenia is proud of her second shiny catch even if it is a bug. As a breeder enthusiast, she read up on how rare the shiny types are even though in battle they are no different than the regular of their kind. The challenge is breeding shiny Pokemon since there doesn't seem to be anything which increases the chance. Even though Selenia doesn't have much interest in bugs, wurmple has a couple of evolution lines with one turning into a butterfly like Pokemon. She flips open her Pokedex and types in wurmple. A picture appears on the screen and a voice comes out.
**Wurmple can evolve into two lines. The first line features a white pod with horns sticking out. This is called silcoon a bug Pokemon. It later evolves into beautifly which is a bug\flying. Beautifly has very colorful wings and a long thin curve nose. The second line has a purple pod very similar to the silcoon. This version is called cascoon and light purple. It is also a bug Pokemon. Than it involves into a moth looking Pokemon called dustox. This Pokemon is a bug\poison type with green wings.**
As the Pokedex reviews the Pokemon, it shows the pictures of what her Pokemon could look like. The catch is that this is what a regular Pokemon of that breed would look like and not the shiny version.
"Hmm, I wonder what the trick will be upon evolution of this wurmple. I'm not as much on the bug\flying types but I guess they would eventually become useful. As much as I don't like the idea of trading Pokemon, I would be up for trading this one if someone has a better home for it than I could provide."
Muddy, Hydran, and Ringer looks up at her as she talks out loud. Muddy could tell that Selenia is a little down so she hugs her trainer. This causes Hydran to hug the other leg while Ringer jumps on his tail and bounces high enough with open arms to catch Selenia off guard. Before Ringer could fall back down to the ground Selenia catches the sentret in her arms and brings him to her chest. She then bends down to put Ringer on the ground. After the sentret is on the ground, she pats Hydran and Muddy.
"Thanks guys, I know you love me and support me regardless whatever I do. I guess part of me is still adjusting to the idea of what a breeder is all about. I also know I can't afford all the Pokemon I could catch which is why I'm being a bit selective on what I catch. As far as I know, I think between myself and Anton that we've caught most of the Pokemon on this route. There is still one bird which takes a special procedure to find. There is also the fishing I want to try. As humid as it is getting, I think fishing is the better idea. This should allow Muddy and Hydran to go play in the water as well as long as you don't get tangled up in the fishing line. Ringer can join them if you want to even though not sure if you want to get your fur wet."
Selenia then proceeds to walk through the forest until she finds an open spot next to the bank of the river. She gets out her fishing rod and gear. Thankfully the rod is in decent shape even if it is a basic one. She tosses out the line as she encourages Hydran and Muddy to jump into the water which they joyfully do. Ringer looks down into the river and back at Selenia. He decides to snuggle next to Selenia. While doing so, he knocks off one of the Pokeballs releasing Beaker. This reminds Selenia she hasn't let her bird Pokemon out for a while so she rests the rod on the ground briefly. She then releases Wings and Golden Claw.
"Okay, you three, try not to get into any trouble while you stretch your wings. I'm going to be a bit of fishing and then will be back to you three soon enough."
