Pixel it is fine to count words for eggs after requesting for spawning but be sure to mention that as well (post / notice when egg is 'added' to Daycare for word counts) so staff know when you started the counting. What I did for mine is link to the request thread and state they're being "shipped" to Daycare (if you want a cutesy ICish sounding reason ^^). So we know where to check to verify how the egg arrived! I happen to be doing both so...well aware.
