Aphrodite and her squad felt well rested after spending the night at the Pokémon Center after a long night of fighting crime in Goldenrod City. The beauty trainer and fairy-type specialist had decided to check out some of the fabulous shops and boutiques located underground at Goldenrod Tunnel. However, along the way she caught wind of passersby making comments about an Underground Gauntlet, Apparently, it was a secret fight club that would reward their winners with a lovely prize. To say that Aphrodite is intrigued would be an understatement. She would go undercover and check everything out for herself. As long as the gentlemen weren't abusing their Pokémon then she wouldn't bother with arresting them. Ideally, she simply wants to test her luck against them and help her Pokemon grow even stronger before taking on the Gym Leader.
After following the directions to the hidden club, Aphrodite had to use her good looks and enticing charm to get inside of it due to some of the bodyguards not wanting to let her in because she looked to be "too fragile" to participate in the event. Apparently, they did not get a lot of female challengers if any at all. It did not bother her, too much. If anything, if gives her an even deeper desire to defeat all of her opponents and take home of the crown, belt, or whatever the reward would be. Her warm amber eyes carefully scanning over her surroundings while ignoring the "cat-calling" noises being made towards her.
She soon arrived in front of five rough-and-tough looking men standing off to the sidelines tossing their Poke Balls up into the air before catching them repeatedly. "I assume that you five are going to be my opponents, huh? Well, let's get this started right away and do not dare think about taking it easy on me, because I'm a lady. I can handle a little roughness," she teased them, giving them a playful eye wink as she withdrew a Poke Ball from around her waist. She figured that since she would only be allowed to use three Pokemon then she would use her Gallade, Sylveon, and Alolan Ninetales.
"Alvaro, stand by! Strike when the timing is right!" She called out to her Gallade, who emerged from his Poke Ball and greeted his opponent with a powerful pose.
I would like to deposit Mimikyu and replace it with Mawile, please and thank you!
Alvaro will use Low Sweep on the opponent's Pokémon.

One of the men, wearing an artist outfit, smiled and greeted the woman. "My, my, a new challenger! Please step into the arena so we can start the Underground Gauntlet." He pointed at the arena in the middle of the spacious room. After Aphrodite would step into the arena on her side of the field, a loud booming speaker came on. "HHHEEELLLLOOO EVERYBODY! WE'VE GOT A NEW CHALLENGER TONIGHT IN THE ARENA!! LET'S GIVE BLONDIE A CHEER!!" Not that anyone knew her name nor did she introduced herself, but maybe anonymity won't make a difference. "SHE IS READY TO GO TONIGHT WITH HER GALLDE KNIGHT!" A crowd began to gather around, cheering and clapping and making loud excited noises. "I AM YOUR HOST TONIGHT! IN THE OTHER CORNER, WE HAVE REELLIABLE ROOOOBERRRT!" The speaker roared, as the crowd now cheered for a man dressed in safety gear and coverall on the other side stepped up to the arena. "Don't you worry, pretty. I won't go easy on you because you're a lady. I'll think about going easy on you because you're young!" Robert replied to Aphrodite's earlier comment, grinning. Then, he tossed a Pokeball and set out a Magneton. "Let's go, Forcefield!"However, before Forcefield could do anything, the Gallade gracefully dashed forward and kicked one of the two lower "Magnemite's" head, knocking out the whole Magneton. The host boomed the speaker quickly. "WOOOOW! WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT! FIIIIRRRST STTRRIIKKE OUT!"Swapping in place with Robert, was a busy man in suit, with a briefcase in one hand and a cellphone on another. "Hey, I will have to call you back, how about 2 hours from now? Mm-hmm. We'll circle back to the discussion." He hanged up his mobile device and then quickly fished out a Pokeball from his pants pocket. "We're on call, Cost Cutter!""AAANNDD IN THIS CORNER, WEEE HAAVE CAAREEFUUULL PEEETEEE!" The host hollered, and the stage light focused on Pete and his buzzing Pokemon.

"Well done, Alvaro. You made quick work out of them." Aphrodite stated with a wide and proud grin touching the corners of her lips. The Gallade nodded his head and flex his sword-like arms for a few seconds before walking back over to his trainer's side of the field. So far, so good. If the momentum remains this way the rest of the rounds, then they will earn the trophy in no time and will be ready to face off against Whitney.
The second opponent did not seem as intimidating as some of the other men waiting off to the sideline. Still, Aphrodite would not let her guard down just yet. "Alvaro, you're done well my Valiant Knight, you deserve a rest. We shall let someone else have fun with this one," she spoke with a cunning smirk. The Gallade followed his trainer's orders and stepped off to her side. Aphrodite then withdrew another Pokemon and released her gorgeous Alolan Ninetales, her snowy coat glistening like fresh snowflakes. The Alolan Ninetales flared her nine tails and let out a chilling howl.
"Aurora use Ice Beam!" She commanded her snowy-fox. The Ninetales flared her elegant tails once again before shooting forth a beautiful blast of icy energy at her opponent.

At the call of ice beam, Pete shook his head and snapped. The ninjask threw up a protective shield a split second before the frosty beam hit it, the snowy remnants of the attack splashing on either side. "WHAT. A. SHOW!" called the announcer. "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THAT IS WHAT CAREFUL PETE IS ALL ABOUT! HE'S ALWAYS ONE STEP AHEAD OF HIS CHALLENGES AND CHALLENGERS, BOTH IN BATTLE AND IN BUSINESS! WILL HE BE ABLE TO KEEP IT UP AFTER THAT QUICK REACTION?" Pete adjusted his stance, "You are clever using a type advantage, but we're not done yet. I had to delay a very important phone call for this, so I won't be just be giving you the easy win." "WHAT WILL THESE TWO DO NEXT? I CAN FEEL THE EXCITEMENT BREWING ALREADY!" Aphrodite's smirked at her opponent's skills. "I must say, that was an impressive trick. Extremely clever, but let's see if that is going to be enough to give you an edge," she spoke, quickly flipping some of her golden locks over her shoulder in a dramatic manner. Despite the their opponent's ability to increase its speed, Aphrodite still wasn't too worry. It was not like the Bug/Flying type Pokemon would have a move that would be super effective against her Pokémon.
"What is it going to be Careful Pete? Are you going to keep avoiding attacks or are you gonna be man enough to strike back?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow at the male trainer. If he truly lives up to his name then would probably continue to try to avoid attacks, but how much longer would he be able to do such a thing>
"Aurora, let's try this again! Ice Beam!" She shouted out to her Alolan Ninetales.

"...A wise man knows not to rise to the provocation of their foes. We both know that getting hit is the greatest obstacle my Cost Cutter has to overcome. So we will simply not be hit. Use double team," he said in an even voice. He'd seen this strategy get him out of bad situations before. But they both knew the odds were stacked against him. Unless he got lucky, this would be the end of his turn against her. Cost Cutter began to blur even further as many copies of itself manifested, surrounding Aurora in an ever shifting, buzzing halo. It was impossible to tell which one was the real ninjask. However, that powerful beam of ice sliced through the copies with ease and with a stroke of luck, knocked Cost Cutter right out of the ring. Insta knock out. Pete nodded and returned the ninjask, "Just like when buying high risk, high reward stocks. Sometimes we gain big...sometimes we lose it all." He stepped back. "IT'S ALL OVER FOR PETE. HIS CAREFUL TACTICS DIDN'T QUITE PULL OUT THE SLEEPER WIN. BUT IT'S NOT OVER. NO-SIR-EE. NEXT UP IS THE ILLUSTRIOUS ARTIST PIERRE, SAID TO HAVE STUDIED HIS CRAFT IN KALOS ITSELF. WILL THIS CREATIVE BATTLER HAVE AN UNEXPECTED TACTIC TO TURN THE TIDES?" The crowd parted to look back at a man busily working on a painting. He perked up when he noticed that everyone was watching him. He set his brush down and entered the ring, wet paint on his face and hands. "These battles have left me inspired. For that, I thank you," he declared as he sent out his smeargle.

"Aurora, that Ice Beam was beautiful and powerful. Most importantly, it was still able to hit its mark. Bravo!" The golden-haired beauty praised her Pokémon, clapping her hands for a few seconds. The snow-fox let out another chilling howl before walking back over to Aphrodite and affectionately nuzzling her head against her arm. "Well done, Aurora. It's your turn for a rest now," She smiled sweetly at her Pokémon then shifted her attention towards her opponent.
"Is that, so? Well, that is kind of you to say. We'll let's really give you a shown this round. Alvaro I'm doing to need your help again for this one," she smirked, glancing over her shoulder to make eye contact with her beloved Gallade. The Fighting/Psychic-type Pokémon swiftly leaped back over onto the battlefield and flexed his sword-like arms with great pride.
"Alvaro use Slash!" She commanded her Pokemon. However. instead of Alvaro's sword-like growing a shade of blue, the blades on his body would glow with a blinding bronze light as he "danced" around the battlefield and prepared then slices his opponent. """Huh, is that new move?" Aphrodite questioned, watching her Pokémon's powerful yet majestic moves on the field.

For many people and Pokemon, the sight of a powered up Gallade coming at them would be pretty terrifying. To the Smeargle's credit, the canine Pokemon held its ground well. "Smeargle, paint me a vision of sleep, use your Spore attack!" the painter called, but before the canine could even lift his tail to start forming the sleeping spores, the Gallade's arm sliced into the normal type. The Gallade hit the Pokemon so hard that it actually flipepd up into the air, before landing down hard on the ground, limbs splayed to the side. " "OH MY GOD LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WE HAVE ANOTHER ONE HIT KNOCKOUT! THAT SMEARGLE HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS COMING FOR IT. SIMPLE AMAZING!"Sighing and nodding his head, the painter held up the Smeargle's poke ball and bowed to Aphrodite. "I thank you my dear, you and your Pokemon's battle prowess and beauty have given me a perfect idea for my next piece. I bid you adeu," he said, before stalking off back into the crowd. Three down, two to go and she would complete this challenge. "BATTLE FANS, WE'RE REALLY STARTING TO HEAT UP NOW! NEXT IN THE ARENA, THE PHYSICIAN OF PAIN, DOCTOR BRAD!"A man in scrubs would enter the fighting area from the side, holding up a poke ball. "You are quite skilled. My visual exam tells me that you are not to be taken lightly." Alvaro is victorious, earns 1,100 EXP! 2,468/2269 Alvaro grows to Level 28! 199/2437

Aphrodite flashed the painter a warm smile before nodding her head and performing a curtsy in response to her opponent's last words. "Best of luck on your new masterpiece," she stated with another bright smile before shifting her attention to Alvaro. "It looks like this gauntlet is really helping you to grow even stronger than before. Alvaro. The new move you used...I think it was Sacred Sword. It's going to be extremely helpful against the gym leader," she pointed out to her Gallade. Alvaro responded with a prideful smirk and majestic pose.
Aphrodite and her Gallade would both soon turned their attention towards their next opponent. A doctor, huh? Well, that will be an interesting "I didn't expect my next opponent to be a doctor. Today is full of surprises... Alright then, let's see if we can get another K.O.'d. I hope you've packed a few revives," she added with a cunning smirk.
"Alvaro use sacred Sword!" She commanded the Gallade.

Brad studied their opponent thoughtfully with a slight hum underneath his voice. Athena was well versed with a versatile move set, though most of them seemed less effective over the long haul so long as Alvaro would be able to move about freely. He needed a plan to slow her Pokemon down substantially or keep them locked in place, making his target a bit easier to strike over the duration of the fight. “Yes, I am a Doctor.” He nodded thoughtfully with a slight smile. An obvious observation that left little to be elaborated on. “When I’m not healing patients, I like to use my Pokemon’s moves in the Gauntlet to showcase the devastating and lasting effects some moves can have.”“Your Gallade looks…interesting.” Brad added with a nod towards Alvaro. Then he turned quickly to his Pokemon and nodded approvingly. “Athena, let’s show them that we can pack a punch of our own, shall we?” He called. The cheerful ray of sunshine hopped about on her thick feet, bouncing from one to the other. She cooed thoughtfully with wide blue eyes that studied Alvaro and punched the air with one fist. “Try to freeze them in place. That should make it harder for Alvaro to land that KO he’s aiming for. Use your Ice Beam, Athena.” Brad called out firmly. Sacred Sword was a powerful move that Doctor Brad had only heard of before, and given its typing compared to both Audino’s and its user’s, it would come down to the wire of who moved quicker than the other. Unfortunately for the doctor, Alvaro swooped in with his arms glowing, slashing into Athena’s side and knocking her backwards across the ground. She cried loudly, then collapsed from the immeasurable amount of pain she felt shooting through her body. “Oh, just like that?” Brad pondered, recalling his Pokemon, then walking over to shake Aphrodite’s hand. “You’ve definitely proven yourself. Good luck on the last battle.”“AND JUST LIKE THAT, THE DOCTOR IS OUT OF THE BUILDING! YOU’LL HAVE TO GET YOUR HEALING TOUCH LATER, LADIES! NOW WE’RE LEFT WITH OUR HEAVIEST CONTENDER YET! THE ONE! THE ONLY! YOU KNOW HIM! YOU LOVE HIM! OUR VERY OWN JANITOR CHHRRIIISSS!” The crowd began cheering feverishly as the older man complete with a mop in hand stepped out onto the field. “Heh, you’re quite a lovely young lady, miss. I hope you pack a punch as deadly as you are beautiful!” He added with a sheepish laugh, calling out large pile of sentient sludge at his side.

Aphrodite thought that it was kind of cute that the doctor truly believed that his Pokémon would be able to strike Alvaro's first. She loved admired his faith and ambitious quite a bit. Unfortunately for him, it was not enough to take down her majestic and powerful elf-like warrior. "You've truly mastered that Sacred Sword, Alvaro. I'll you're on your way of becoming a high-ranked knight at this point," she stated, smiling at her Pokémon. As usual, Psychic/Fighting-type Pokémon would flex his muscles and powerful arm blades before making his way back over to his trainer's side.
"Thank you. We're going to take the trophy home with us. There's no one here that will be able to stop us," she replied with a confident smile then bidding the doctor farewell as she waited for her next opponent to arrive. This time her opponent would be a janitor. "I must say, I do enjoy the diversity that this place has to offer. who would have thought that an event like this would bring so many people from different work environment," she spoke out to her opponent. "Aww, aren't you quite the charmer. Let's see if you'll be able to get pass my Cute Charm long enough to give me a worthy battle," she smirked at him. However, her smirk would fade away as she noticed the horrendous poison-type Pokémon on the field. Immediately, a cool chilled rushed down her spine and a look of disgust shown over her face.
"Ha, at looks like you're discovered my weakness. This will be an interesting battle. We may not be able to take you down in one shot, but we will try our hardest!" she stated, grabbing two Poke Balls from her bag. One contained her Nawile and the other one containing her Sylveon. She felt a bit torn on which Pokemon she would send out against her opponent. The Muk's poison-type moves would not have an effective on her Mawile. However she would not be able to inflict too much damage on it. Her Sylveon would at least be able to land some super effective attacks. "Alright, Mila! I could really use your help with this!" She kissed her Sylveon's orb before tossing it high into the air and releasing the mystical creature. The Sylveon let out a soft mew before jumping into her battle stance. "Calm Mind then follow-up with Psyshock!" She ordered her Pokemon.
Sylveon used Calm Mind then Psyshock! Running shoes are exhausted.

"Maybe I will be the one to stop ya, miss. I've been in this gauntlet the longest, and I stand between you and that trophy," the Janitor grinned maliciously as his poison type seemed to made the pretty opponent's facial expression changed. The poison type cried, as if agreeing with the old man. Seeing how the opponent started off defensively, Brad decided the same to match them. "Muk, use Acid Armor!" As the Sylveon closed her eyes and meditated to increase her mental capacity, the Muk did the same, seemingly flattened itself on the ground as it toughened its defense by solidifying the grime surrounding its body. Then, hearing that the opponent was using a psychic type move, Brad embraced himself and called out yet another defensive move. "Muk, use Pain Split!" The fairy type's ribbon hovered still in the air, and created a ball of purple energy in front of it, then the energy balls were fired at the Muk, exploding on impact. Thankfully, the Acid Armor helped lessened the blow as the smoke cleared, and the Muk was still looking healthy. The poison type returned by getting close toward the opponent, punching the Sylveon just once as a beam of energy were bounced from Mila toward the Muk. "How many shots do you think it will take for you to take me down?" Brad chuckled in his low baritone voice, taunting the blonde haired woman. Wild Encounter

"Sorry, but we're not planning on leaving without that trophy," she stated with a half-smirk as she continued to stare towards her opponent. So, far her opponent has been able to prove to her that he will be a lot stronger than the last few trainers that she faced off against earlier. Not only is his Pokémon super-effective against her own, but it also has a way to increase its defense and recover its health, too.
"That Psyshock was gorgeous Mila. However, we might have to switch our strategy up a little bit this time if we want to finish this up within the next few minutes," she added before taking a few seconds to think about what their next move should be. The more Mila attacked the opponent then more health that it would be able to recover.
"That is a good question. I guess we will just have to find out later, won't we?" She answered his previous question. She, too wanted to know how many more attacks it would take to knock out the Muk. "Mila use Calm Mind!" she ordered her Pokemon.

"I understand, everyone who challenges the gauntlet says the same thing," He smiled and let out a very brief laughter. "What are you going to do with the trophy? This isn't officiated by the Pokemon League, so this is more like a private event. This won't mean too much for anyone else who don't care about such a private event."When he heard his opponent's command, he spoke again immediately. "Are you in a hurry? This won't make me try to help you with wrapping this up any quicker. Maybe you'll have to reschedule your hair appointment!" He cracked a joke as he shrugged, completely unfazed by the busyness of basically everyone in Goldenrod City. "Muk, give them a good ol' Shadow Sneak! You might just have to let the walk-in customers get a new hair style first today," He hollered, continued with his slightly presumptuous idea on why she would wanted to be hurry. The poison type flattened itself and used the arena light's shadow to reach the fairy type before she could calm down and concentrate. The slimy Muk wasn't bothered by the Sylveon's charming appearances though, maybe the angle and lighting wasn't right at the moment when it struck. After that, Mila finally calmed her mind once again, as the toughness of the opponent could complicate the mind. With her mind focused and eased, she was readied for the next command by Aphrodite. Aphrodite shrugged her shoulders before responding to the janitor's question. "It would just be another trophy to add to my collection back home. More so than that, it will add to the memories that I've shared with my Pokémon," she replied back with half-smile. "And why are you hoping to take home the trophy?" She asked curiously, raising an eyebrow at him.
"As a matter of fact, I am in hurry, but it is not because of a hair appointment." Aphrodite replied back to his previous answer. Her hair is perfect and does not do visit a hair salon. However, she was in a hurry to finish the battle, because she did not want to risk the poison-type Pokémon taking out her beloved fairy-type.
"Now that we've powered up a bit, let's see if we can't do more damage. Psyshock!" She commanded her Pokémon.
