The drowsy slowpoke just wanted to nap in this wonderful snow. It had been buried during the storm and it provided a warm, cozy shelter against the harsh wind and hail. But now it was being disturbed. Urg. Slowly, it rose, snow sloughing off its sides as it took a slow step towards all the noise, nap totally ruined. Before it could process what was happening or the sheer number of people here, a ball flew at its face, smacked it in the nose and gobbled it up in a flash. The ball didn't even wobble. Maybe it was because the slowpoke was just so lazy that it did not fight or some other reason.

Astrid could focus fully on the rescue mission at hand.

Ella's aim couldn't be better and the slowpoke disappeared inside and was caught almost immediately. As she reached for the ball in the snow, she suddenly lighted up and when she grabbed it, it was with different looking hands. When she straightened up she was much taller than before, she looked down at herself and then shrugged.
Astrid looked surprised at the much bigger greninja when she handed her the pokeball, "you have evolved!" Astrid praised her as she could easily recognize Ella in her new form. Greninja just shrugged, it was bound to happen sooner or later, no need to celebrate that.

Things went fast after Astrid had contacted her headquarters and not long after several teleporting pokemon arrived with doctors and more police officers. The man got taken away to further medical help and the whole group searched the area for clues and other in trouble. They didn't find anything else than the man's belongings which clearly marked him as a trainer.
"Strange, no clue of what made him unconscious. Perhaps the medical team can come with some answers," one of the other officers said, Astrid butted in, "perhaps it was the slowpoke who seemed rather aggressive when we arrived."
"A slowpoke? An aggressive one even? Where did it go?" The officer said as he scanned the area urgently. Astrid patted her pocket where Ella had handed her the pokeball containing the psychic pokemon, "here, we caught it."
"keep it close, they might want to include it in some investigations," the officer said and Astrid nodded, she knew that already.

When they had finished the investigations of the area, most of them left by teleportation again, leaving Astrid with her two helpers. They had most likely found the rumored human in trouble, but since they didn't know if it was him since the rumors had been so different, there may be others out here as well, and they continued the search. With no snowstorm it was much easier, and while they found a few other trainers or the like out here, no one was in trouble.
Late in the day the search was called off and they returned to be City.

Ella hit the mark and gains (24*50) 1200 exp. (1200+2677=>3877/3781=>96/3997), she grows to level 36!

She evolves to Greninja!
She forgets Water Pulse to learn Water Shuriken.

(ooc: Pixel I clearly didn't make clear what pokemon was out, but one always needs to be present for levels when throwing a ball ^^ I can't enter a battle without one out, at least technically. Ella was the one, which is why she threw the quick ball.)
