The combo of ursaluna and pinsir leapt again into action, bringing down the zigzagoon before it could cause any real damage. Freya cheered them on, watching as the zigzagoon shrank down to normal sized—utterly dazed—and retreated back into the wormhole from whence it came, leaving behind a scattering of interesting shinies. Freya plucked them up to examine. Shards this time. Interesting. She heard talk of someone who would trade these to tutor pokemon in certain moves. For now she pocketed them and approached the den again.
"Alright, that was new. So let's see what else is out there," she said, flicked a small shard into the ether.

Freya looked at the shadows and chuckled, "Well I know what THAT one is now. A zigzagoon. Feisty little thing. Let me see...oh, I haven't seen that one before. It looks different. Almost lizardy. Maybe a ground type?" She poked at the shadow and stepped back, bracing herself for whatever was about to leap through...and was surprised to see a blue little creature that was very obviously a water-type. Then it hit her. "OH! A sobble. Never seen one close up before...much less twenty feet tall...Alright. Let me see... Overqwil and Ursaluna, help me out!"
She threw her two strongest mons into the fray for lack of a better option, to be quite honest. She hadn't brought her pawmot along. Whoops!
"Ursaluna, use headlong rush. Overqwil, take advantage of that loaded dice and use pin missile!"

"Keep it up!" Freya called out. "Overqwill, destroy the barrier with pin missile. Ursaluna, use headlong rush again. Over power that pokemon before it gets a leg up on you." Because she herself had seen these battles go wildly out of control, fast. Where she thought she had it in the bag and the pokemon suddenly turned things around, sharply and violently, and Freya was unable to properly respond to the threat. Sometimes these bosses could one shot you even if you resisted their attacks. It was crazy how overwhelming it could all become. So she was enjoying this string of easier fights.

Freya threw a ball and watched as it struck the sobble dead on, and drew the little reptile within. There was a flash of light and the ball compressed, shrinking down until it rested motionless in the sand. Success! Under the moon, she was having a little more success with her efforts to catch what she decided to take an aim at. Plucking up the ball and the treasures that fell, she decided that it was time to retreat for a while, eat, and come back with a couple swap ins. Crocalor and Varoom were replaced with Arcanine and Pawmot, both of whom were regulars by now. "Okay, ready to get back to this." She fished another chip from her pocket and tossed it in, stepping back to see what options would emerge from within. |

She looked at her options. Hm. Interesting. Nothing too exciting nor something she wanted to catch. She patted her pocket, deciding to keep the dusk ball for something rarer down the line. "Let's battle the zigzagoon. That should be good and quick." Freya stepped back and withdrew two pokeballs, sending them out to reveal a massive bear and an upright rodent. "Let's see how fast we can win this. Use arm-thrust, Pawmot! Ursaluna? Play Rough!" The pair would charge the towering raid boss, prepared to bring it down swiftly as they were commanded. Freya smiled. They looked like a well-oiled machine working together.

One round? Now that was what she called teamwork!
"You guys are the best!" Freya called out, rushing up to her pokemon as the zigzagoon retreated from sight, vanishing into the aether. She hugged pawmot first, because that was an impressive show! "That was awesome!" She grinned as she ruffled her hair and stood to go throw herself at Ursaluna's side. She gave the big bear all the scritches. "You having fun? I hope you are, because you are my MVP lately. Man. That was just cool to watch!!!" She laughed with delight, picking up the shiny things on the ground.

Hm? Oh, another sobble? Sure, why not. She could try out her slightly adjusted team on the little water reptile. "Pawmot, use wild charge. Overqwill, hit hard with pin missile." Pawmot was holding the loaded dice now instead of the Overqwill, but that was fine. She wasn't too worried about bringing down the barriers on these weaker pokemon. She shivered as she recalled some of the battles that she won (or lost) by the skin of her teeth earlier. Those were hard and she was glad to have a streak of easier ones to train on. She watched as her pokemon charged in to do as she asked.

The wild charge crashed into the sobble just as the giant water-type tried to dash Pawmot away with a torrent of water. The electricity sparked up the jet and caused the giant boss to cry out a roar of alarm, balance unsteady. Taking advantage, Overwill peppered the pokemon with a flurry of quills, triggering and then smashing through the flimsy barrier it threw up in return.
"That's perfect!" Freya called out. "You have it. Finish this with arm thrust and barb barrage! I am counting on you two." Detecting that the end of the battle was soon, she prepared to throw the raid ball.
