Shockira looked at the eyes of the small red kitten and could see nothing but sadness. These are your gardens? Do you need help I bet it is a lot of work to work this on your own. Looking back to Nagei she let out a small smile. Checking on all her friends she could see that they where all okay. Look I know you don't know us. Truth be told we didn't know each other till today. What I do know is that we can tell that you are Stressed out. I don't know why,but we want to help if you'll let us. With Nagei and hop they would be able to help with plants. Me and Sox could help with weeds and moving stuff. All of us have skills we could use to help you. I understand that trust is hard and we didn't get off to a good start. Let's try that again you know my name is Shakira. May I please get you name. If it will please you let us help with the gardens. With her peace said Shockira sat down starring at the kitten to see it's response.

- A-ah... don't mention it. - the furry Pokemon blushed red at Boing's words, nobody has complimented him like that before. He then turned to check on the group, making sure no one else had caught flames. It seemed poor Bulbasaur was the only one affected, but thankfully, it had recovered from the sudden attack. Seeing one slightly displaced leaf on Naegi's bulb due to the fiery surprise, Sox without a word carefully reached and gently fixed it for him. There, all good now!
Everyone was on edge, the cat repeatedly urging them to leave her garden alone. Why? Why wouldn't she share the beauty of it with others? Was she embarrassed about the dead spots within it? Or... did she think they were causing them? Sox furrowed his brow, pondering the situation. He nodded in agreement with Shockira's words. - Yeah! We can help take care of your garden, so everyone can enjoy it! - he said firmly. - Do you have any idea what causes those strange withered places I saw? Maybe we could try to fix that too. - he mused, scratching his chin, lost in thought. - Perhaps the garden needs more water? - he threw the question into the wind, hoping for a cat to answer without any more violence.

Caused destruction? Boing looked around at the garden, and at her newfound friends. "But we haven't done anything wrong! We just got here!" She had to make a sudden spin high into the air to dodge out the of the way of the cat's claws, and as much as she wanted to zoom around the garden for a closer look at the dead patches of ground, she realized the angry cat would probably go after her even more. Instead she settled onto Naegi's bulb. It was nice and firm to sit on without being too hard or dirty, just like a nice tree branch.
"Good to hear!" she responded when Naegi said he was okay. "Of course we'd come to help! We're all friends, aren't we?" In fact, it was a refreshing experience to hear that she was being helpful. It was better than being called annoying, or told she needed to be put on a leash for her own good. Seeing the way Sox was blushing at her compliment, she wondered if maybe he was feeling in the same boat. Rather than embarrass him further with more compliments, she simply gave him a grin and a wink when only he was looking.
Shockira's plan to help was a good one, assuming the cat would want to cooperate. "With so many of us, we should have the garden fixed in no time! Ooh, I know! She can sing a song to motivate us!" She had heard of such things in animated movies, supposedly it really helped motivate the work! "Is the garden needing more water? I could fly around and look for a river! And Naegi could carry the buckets in his vines!" Her mind was buzzing with ideas, and she was already eager to spin her leaves around to take to the sky again.

The long flames that scorched her heart, once burning with a furious intensity, dwindled. Litten paused both mentally and physically, a single paw raised in the air as her sharp maroon irises narrowed suspiciously in their yellow seas upon the gathering of ragamuffin tagalongs. They barely knew each other, and so could not guarantee the innocence of their self-proclaimed troupe. She hissed, ears pinned flat against the sides of her skull, and slowly backed with a firm shake of her head. “I’m not asking for your help.” A paw stretched out from her body and swiped at the fluffy blue sheep. “I just…I want you all to leave!” She spat at Sox, pressing her body against the ground defensively, instinctually protecting her delicate organs.
Could their plans work… Those same sharp eyes turned to the bulbous buffoon she’d recently singed with her embers, then to the strange pink cottonweed whose delicate body easily floated on the slightest breeze. Would they be able to tend to the gardens that were left tattered and in ruins? A strange plague stretched through the garden, eating away at the outer edges and slowly working their way to the heart of her homeland. Vegetation struggled where withered petals littered the ground, brittle and dried out stems crumbling away from their host with the slightest touch. “I don’t want a song or help!” The small kitten insisted, shaking her head firmly and slowly backed away. Why didn’t they understand?!
“You just said you barely met each other…” Those same deep reds now glimmered. The light inside of their gaze was faint, as though the softest breath of air would extinguish the hope just beginning to take root inside of her head. “How can you believe in each other? How can I believe what you have to say…” Litten insisted with a low growl that rumbled from her chest and slipped off the tip of her tongue. They were strangers in her land. Strangers caused the destruction of the once pristine and gorgeous gardens her old owner used to love so dearly. “You want to help…fine. But I’m watching all of you carefully.” She eventually huffed gruffly, before pouncing off through her garden, claws tending to the soft soil and teeth pulling out the gnarling weeds that tried to overcome the death-stricken foliage.
They were a shallow representation of an old life Litten desperately clawed at to reclaim. One that stung cause Litten’s heart sink into the pit of her chest.
Confusion decorated his wide scarlet irises. Naegi slowly backed away and shook his head, two long green vines slipping out from the sides of his large emerald bulb. They had done everything he thought they should need to, to prove to Litten that they meant no harm. They hadn’t really retaliated too harshl and acted on defense. They even re-spun the script to offer a lending paw in need to the small black feline whose gardens were in tattered ruins before them. “We aren’t tainting anything!” Anger flashed inside of his usually sweet, if somewhat gullible, expression for a brief instance. “You’re being rather…well, rude! That’s what you’re being to us!” Naegi shook with indignation and nearly shouted at Litten. “I know I can trust my friends with everything that I have! They saved my life from you!”
When Litten spun around on the tips of her nimble paws and strode off to tend to her garden, Naegi turned to his team of friends quizzically. The toad-like plant Pokemon scrunched his brows together and wrinkled his nose with a nod towards the gardens around them. “That cat is just so mean.” Naegi sighed, a heavy breath of air that he struggled to fully release from his lungs. What should they do? What could they do? It felt…wrong. To just walk away after witnessing the destruction that ate away at the landscape. But…did Litten really deserve their help? “You guys wouldn’t be mad if I stayed and helped anyways…”
Those same warm rub hues turned back to the gardens with a quiet sadness. What managed to wreak such havoc? Some sort of malevolent force of nature much have ripped through the earth itself. Was it deeper than just the surface level? Possibly buried in the ground itself, where the roots dug deep inside of the earth and hunted for delicious nutrients that they could soak up? “Boing….Sox…Shockira…I’m glad to have friends like you. But I won’t ask you to stay and help, if Litten’s meanness caused you to change your mind…” Naegi spoke quietly with a silent nod. How could he, after all? How could that be fair? “But someone’s got to do something.”
And with that, Naegi would stumble slowly to the worst of the withered bushes. He released small healing spores that floated on the wind and landed on each petal. Though…something wasn’t right. The natural charm and energy that Bulbasaurs and his evolutionary line used to help plants grow (and eventually used to evolve) didn’t seem to make them budge?! Naegi’s eyes turned a somber expression to his friends. Pain and anguish as the young ignorant frog-like Pokemon couldn’t understand what he was possibly doing wrong. Was it the soil? If it was the soil, though, why did other parts of the garden grow and flourish? Why was it only this one spot that seemed to wither away?

Shockira let out a sad sigh as she saw the little fire cat scramble away. She watched as it tried to pull all the weeds it could. Nagei, like I said I have no plans to leave anyone behind. Sure the kitten was a little mean. The sadness in those eye though. Your right Nagei someone has to do something. Sox, would you mind to help me pull some of these weeds. It works better if you have hands. Shockira let out a grin before she continued. Boing I don't think that's a bad idea to look for some water. While you do that me and Sox will get these weeds taken care of.
She looked over at Nagei and frowned. That was odd there was no improvement from the spores. Huh maybe there's something in the ground causing this. As She and Sox began to pull weeds she decided she would dig to the roots of the weeds to see if she could find the problem. As she was digging she began to sing just loud enough for Sox and Nagei to hear. I messed up tonight, I lost another fight Lost to myself, but I'll just start again. I keep falling down, I keep on hitting the ground I always get up now, see what's next Pidgey don't just fly, they fall down and get up Nobody learns without gettin' it wrong.

Sox regarded the dark cat with pity. So distrustful, even after the whole group had declared their friendliness and offered to help. What had the poor Litten gone through to become so wary? Even questioning the trust they all shared so shortly after meeting each other? Perhaps "trust" was too grand a word for the Mankey, but he definitely didn't distrust others. It was just a standard first day as friends, getting to know each other a little.
- Well, - Sox began, - you're clearly struggling to maintain this garden on your own. Let us lend you a paw just this one time. You'll see, you won't regret it! - he declared in a matter-of-fact manner.
Turning his attention to the greenery around them, Naegi attempted to use his typing to his advantage and help heal what was withered, to no avail. Something was truly amiss. He approached one of the largest weeds he could see, the only healthy thing among the ruined plants. - Why do these grow so strong, though? - he pondered aloud, hoping that one of the present Grass-types could provide an answer. Then, he grabbed the unruly vegetation and ripped it out of the ground with roots and all, accompanied by Shockira's new song.

Despite the cat's meanness, Boing couldn't help but feel a little sorry for her. No wonder she was so upset, if this was her garden, and it was in such a sorry state! At least the cat decided to back off and simply watch all of them carefully. With her sharp claws and fire breath, she probably wasn't very skilled at gardening anyway, unlike Naegi's spores, Sox's dexterous hands pulling up weeds, and Shockira's... well, the singing was putting everyone in a better mood, at least.
"I can help, too!" Boing chirped, though she wasn't quite sure what to do. She couldn't spread pollen like Naegi, and the sun was already bright enough without her glowing body... but something had to be done about those rotten weeds before they polluted everything in the garden! She flew down and grasped onto one of the wilted leaves with her stubby hands as best as she could. Then she pulled, and pulled... and spun her leaves furiously, trying to build up as much speed as possible, to yank the stubborn weed out...
Sproing! The weed didn't move an inch. Instead, as soon as Boing stopped trying so hard, it recoiled back like a rubber band and sent her flying off into the distance. Splash!
"Hey, guys! I found water!" she called out. Indeed, she had landed in a river some distance away.
But it seemed she was not alone, as she saw bubbles breaching the surface of the river, and something emerging from the water underneath her.
"F--friends?" Boing asked, nervously.
Whatever it was, it didn't seem to be happy with her unexpected intrusion, and it let out a low, growling burble.
"Not friends! FRIENDS! HELP!"

Vampiric vines stretched through the garden. They were long, thin tubes that snaked between the long shoots of the flowering bushes. They wrapped around the woody trunks and strangled them, piercing into the other plants with their sharp thorns. Litten cried angrily as she bit down on another of the long vines and chewed through the bitter, crunchy texture. She wiggled back and forth as she pulled each individual vine free with a loud huff and tossed it to the side with a shake of her head. There was so much left to do! How was she going to manage to free all her wonderful gardens from their cold grasps? What caused this?!
It didn’t help that their water source seemed to be drying up. The small black feline’s bright crimson hues turned their attention towards the small, dug out network of trenches meant to bring water to her plants and sighed with a glum shake of her furry head. Where was that precious resource now? It seemed dried up, as though some evil creature blocked off the path entirely, and what managed to push through the dug-out trenches had a strange, fowl smell that Litten couldn’t quite place. These strange Pokemon who insisted on helping seemed the most likely culprit at first!
But…. doubt mixed with her anxiety, causing Litten to battle with her own thoughts. Why would they help her? She turned back to another long vine she’d managed to pull free from a large flowering bush and yowled as it snaked around her in one last battle. Litten tumbled about for a spell, claws kicking wildly in the air and teeth snapping at random bits of the sappy green plant, until she eventually freed herself once more. Yuck!
Naegi’s heart filled with happiness just knowing that his friends were willing to help solve this mystery with him. He turned to Boing as the only other plant Pokemon with large maroon eyes that glimmered with hope. “We’re both Grass Types, Boing!” Naegi pointed out enthusiastically and nodded towards the withering plants within the garden as the tip of his bulb began to glow again. “We might need to use our combined powers to heal them. Are you able to spread healing spores or anything for the flowers?” Maybe if they used their powers together, all was not quite so lost yet.
The bulbous frog-like plant smiled and listened to Shockira’s melodic tunes. While he fretted that Sox might find them bothersome as he had when they’d first met, he enjoyed them. The words were uplifting and inspiring, promising that if they didn’t give up then they would be able to solve this mystery. They could save the gardens. “I really love that song, Shockira! Thanks!” Naegi called out, raising a singular green vine in the air to wave to his wooly friend. He turned to Sox, whose paws pulled and plucked at the strong vampiric green tendrils as he ripped and tore at them. “You’re doing great, Sox! Thank you so much for the help! I’m really lucky to have you as a friend!” He cheered and returned back to spreading the pollen around the field.
Boing took off after she floated up into the air, only to call out for help. What happened?! Naegi’s vines plummeted back on the ground and immediately he raced off towards the sound of her voice. “I’m coming, Boing! Hang on!” Naegi paused and listened once more, tilting his head left and right as his eyes searched through a maze of trunks and large bushes. “Where are you again?! Keep speaking to me! I’ll find you and save you!” He promised and didn’t give up until he’d finally made it to the water’s edge where the gurling burbling of some strange and obscured Pokemon tried to Pokenap his friend. “You leave Boing alone! I won’t let you hurt my friend!” The small green frog hissed angrily.

Shockira smiled as they began to make progress. It wasn't a lot and they still had more to do but at least it was a start. While she was pulling up some of the smaller weeds she began to notice that there were many vines that led towards trees. Hey Sox, I'm going to follow these vines to see where they go okay? I won't be long. She bounced into the woods to see if she could find the source of the vines.
While Shockira was entering the tree line she could hear Nagei screaming for boing. Decisions were made and she ran off towards her friends. Upon reaching them she see boing tied up by some strange pokemon.
Listen hear you. I have come to save my friends. I don't know what you are but you will not harm my friends. Shockira began to glow in response to her emotions. Lightning arching from her fur. Nagei do you think you can free boing ? Once you get them free I'll shock the vines. We will finally see what is causing all these problems to kittens home.

Sox followed Naegi after Boing called for help. The poor grass-type seemed to be constantly getting into trouble, with the winds pushing it around... Eventually, they reached the river's edge, where everyone noticed a strange Pokémon lurking beneath the surface, its intentions towards the unlucky Hoppip unknown. Sox quickly assessed his options, looking around for anything that might help. Swiftly, he leapt onto the nearest tree, climbed onto a branch extending over the water, wrapped his long tail around it, and hung down, trying to reach Boing with his long arms.
- Come on, Boing! Just a little more! - he called out to the round Pokémon, the branch straining to its absolute limit. Just a few inches...
The Mankey successfully grabbed Boing's stubby legs. Thinking his friend was safe, he tried to pull him out of the water and bring him to shore. He lifted the little grass-type slightly above the water but could manage no further - Boing was being held by a pair of grey tentacles!
- What is that- HEY! - Sox exclaimed as the tentacles tugged Boing back into the water, jerking the Mankey and the branch, which began to make ominous snapping sounds. - Uh oh... That's not good... - he mumbled, glancing at the tree limb that was slowly but surely ripping away from the trunk. - I-I think we both need a little help now! - Sox admitted nervously, still holding on to Boing.

A pair of slimy grey tentacles had emerged from below the water's surface. Wrapping around Boing's pink body, they were trying to drag her down into the depths. Immediately her crew of newfound friends had rushed to the rescue, with Naegi and Shockira attempting to intimidate the whatever-it-was into letting her go, and Sox actually swinging out onto a tree branch to grab ahold of her legs and pull her back to safety. Unfortunately, the tug-of-war between the mystery Pokemon and the Mankey appeared to not be going in her favor. Boing realized that if someone didn't do something quick, the branch was going to snap, and they were both going to plunge into the depths. She couldn't let that happen! Not after they had gone all this way to try and help her! "Leave. Us. ALONE!" she screamed, and emitted a blinding flash from her body. The sudden emergence of the white light appeared to startle the tentacled Pokemon into retreating, just as she could hear the crack of the tree's limb giving way. When the light faded, the pink plant was spinning her leaves as hard as she could, to keep both herself and the Mankey dangling from her feet barely suspended in midair. The strange Pokemon in the river hissed, and slowly popped out of the water; it looked like a bulbous blue head with a hideous pair of glowing red eyes, and a nose to match. "Naegi... Shockira... thanks," Boing said, though she was struggling a bit to talk, with most of her energy focused on staying in the air. "I don't have healing spores or anything like that... though I am good at healing myself!" With her photo synthesis from warming herself in the sunlight, indeed, she was already looking good as new even after being just attacked.

The bulbous eton green frog with large wintergreen splotches wrapped in odd spots along his sides and head gasped. Whatever it was dug its tentacles around the small pink cottonweed, slowly pulling Boing through the surface of the water. “You can’t have our friend! She didn’t even do anything to you!” Naegi snapped, releasing two long emerald vines from either side of his giant emerald bulb and wrapped one of them around one of Boing’s limbs, while using the other vine to slap at the strange looking fish with their drab grey tentacles. “So you let her go right this instance, understand?!” He demanded firmly.
Naegi watched Sox dangling from one of the sturdy limbs of a nearby tree and sighed a soft breath of relief. “Oh hey, good work!” He congratulated Sox at first. A strange, sickly sound echoed through the air. It crunched and snapped angrily, until the tree finally shed the weight of the branch from its body. Naegi immediately switched gears, sending his vines after Sox who he’d wrap around and quickly pull towards the safety of the shoreline. “Oh, that could have been really bad! I don’t want to lose any of you after I’ve finally made some friends!” Naegi admitted, a twinge of worry and pain in his voice.
A flash of light illuminated the entire area, causing the tentacled Pokemon and Naegi to drop what they were holding onto with a loud gasp. What was that?! Did those evil things attack their friends?! “Quick, Shockira, use your electric attack! You have one, right? They’re in water, so surely that would be enough to get them to leave our friends alone!” Naegi screamed through the blinding light, turning his Head in different directions as he tried vainly to find his friends. When the light died down, Naegi would breathe a sigh of relief, grateful that Boing managed to keep Sox and herself airborne.

Shockira watched in horror as the branch broke sending Sox down. She breathed a sigh of relief as Nagei caught Sox as they fell. A lightning attack well I have one but I'm not sure it's going to work it doesn't do any damage but here we go Shockira then begins to charge up a powerful electrical wave and send it towards this strange pokemon. Listen here you go away. Leave our friends and this garden alone I will not let you hurt it any further. There are too many people depending on me . Nagei Sox boing and all the others I will stop you here and now

Sox's short life flashed before his eyes as the tree limb gave way beneath him. He was certain he was a goner, that the monster would grab him and drag him underwater. He couldn't swim! There was so much he still wanted to accomplish - evolving into Primeape, finding a mate, having eggs, becoming stronger, eating countless chestnuts and sweet Bluk Berries...
Suddenly, he dropped, but just before hitting the ground, Naegi's vines caught him. Sox let out a sigh of relief. - Nice catch, Naegi! I-I wasn't scared or anything. - he began to explain, though the tail wrapped tightly around his leg betrayed his true feelings. Before he could say more, a blinding light enveloped the area, catching the Mankey by surprise. Once again, he felt himself falling to his doom, a terrified squeal escaping his throat against his wishes. Oh, he was so dead!
Sox then felt something hovering above him. As a last-ditch effort, he reached out and grabbed it, his eyes stinging but gradually adjusting. He saw a pink blob above him with rotating green leaves. - Ngh… Boing? - the Mankey asked, unsure. Never in a million years did he think this little grass-type could carry his weight, yet there they were, landing softly on the river's edge. He rubbed his eyes and blinked several times until his sight was fully restored.
- Wow... that was so cool! - he exclaimed, excitement in his voice for the first time. - Thank you, Boing, for saving me! And thank you too, Naegi! N-not that I was scared - I wasn't. But that was still so cool! - he sat down on the grass, his legs shaking like crazy, though it was less noticeable while he was sitting.
Now that the immediate danger was over, they had to deal with the water monster lurking beneath the surface. Shockira the Mareep sent an electric shock towards the water, upsetting the creature. A huge blue head with big red jelly-like... eyes...? emerged, raising an enormous stinger and attempting to strike the Mareep.
- Watch out, Shockira! - Sox yelled, scrambling to his feet to try and do something.

So cool... Boing's eyes began to well up with tears, but they were happy ones. No one had ever called her cool before. Annoying, loud, air-headed, but cool...? "You... you're welcome, everyone!" she gasped. "I was scared, to be honest, not at all like you, Sox! But if it's to help my friends, I'll always try my best!"There was little time for congratulations, however, because the strange water creatures were still on the attack. The one that had been struck by lightning lashed out a tentacle at Shockira, while Boing dodged out of the way as a spray of water emerged from below the river's surface and shot toward Sox. One, two, three... Boing counted as more blue jellies reared their ugly heads, followed by what seemed to be a massive Pokemon that dwarfed all three of the smaller Water-types combined, plus their little band of newfound friends. From beneath its crown protruded a sharp beak, and it had enough tentacles to wrap all of them up at once and devour them for supper. Boing gulped. "Boss, I think that one is with the Bell Boys!" One of the jellyfish Pokemon pointed a tentacle at Naegi. "He used a vine attack like they do!""Who dares trespass upon the waters of Fleet Cool?" the leader's booming voice demanded. Caramell 🍬 sorry for delay again! have some PLOT
