Cheap Natural Remedies!
Natural Remedies sells bitter herbs, which are quite cost effective. However, the only side effect is that they decrease a Pokémon's happiness due to their overwhelmingly bitter taste. The store's owner is a cackling old lady who smells of pungent overcooked cabbage. Her Haunter is not friendly towards trainers either.
Having finally escaped his seemingly endless journey from Azalea all the way to Goldenrod itself, with the last stretch in Route 34 being particularly unrelenting, he had made it back to the metropolis itself even making a small detour to a sunken ship. Having already familiarised himself with the city plans, he navigated various shortcuts and made it back to the Rocket base. Given how long he had been in his clothes and how long he had been without shaving, Tobias desired a very lengthy grooming session. Washing up in the dormitories, shaving his now bushy beard clean off and switching his clothes for another near identical outfit of his suave fashion, it seemed he was back on track. He still had a few errands to run along the route, one of which would be repaying a certain herd of pests for their hospitality. This however, could certainly wait. Having spent the night at the secret underground Rocket HQ, he woke up and quickly readied himself for a busy day. Having spoken with one of his colleagues about amenities in the city, it appeared there was a herbal shop which was recommended quite lowly on the list but it was exactly what he required.
Making his way from one of the base's secret exits, he eventually located the entrance to the underground shopping parade simply known as the Goldenrod Tunnel. Following his steps down, he passed a number of shops and couldn't help but notice just how sleazy and run down the place was. Having hailed from Unova, it wasn't something that surprised him. You could have the most shining, exemplary city but there was always a seedy underbelly to it and it appeared Goldenrod would not be the exception to the rule. Eventually making it to the shop, he caught a whiff of pungent, bitter odour and examined the outside of the shop. Unlike most people, the smell itself did nothing to sour Tobias' expression. It was so dilapidated it was any wonder the place hadn't shut down. "This will be quick." Murmured Tobias to Prometheus who was pinching his nose at the foul stench the shop presented.
Stepping in, he noticed there was a huge selection of various herbal and old fashioned remedies. Walking along the aisle slowly, his finger running along the shelving as he seemed to be taking in the names of the various ingredients on display, he also appeared to pick up a quite significant dust trail with his fingers. Pulling a disdainful look, he flicked his fingers together and eventually looked up to see the shop owner. A very elderly looking woman, he could tell from the way she was cackling with her ghoulish Haunter and had not immediately noticed him that she was most likely senile. Clearing his throat, he failed to receive any attention. Leering his eye with frustration, he waited mere seconds before slamming his hand down on the counter to illicit a reaction. "Silence you old hag. I've no time to dilly dally whilst you ramble on incessantly. I am here to purchase some of your wares and also some ingredients." Having selected a number of items to purchase, he dumped the ones he would be happy to buy right off the bat for her to acknowledge.
However, dumping a number of herbs and strange vegetation on the desk, it appeared Tobias would prefer to do it his own way for a number of the other items he was interested in. Whilst browsing, he had noticed the powders on offer looked extremely stale. Placing his stylish white briefcase on the counter top, he flicked it open and revealed he had a mortar and pestle with him and various other equipment. He was certainly no slouch in the field of herbology. Throwing down a substantial wad of pokedollars onto the counter that would cover the expenses, he proceeded to work away, grinding a lot of the herbs and ingredients into a fine powder. Doing this a second time for another batch, it appeared he had created some heal and energy powders which were of a worthy substitute to what the store owner was offering. Noticing the Haunter was getting dangerously close to him, he shot the ghost a glare and shook his head. "I trust those funds will more than cover the cost." Storing the herbal supplements into his briefcase, he failed to give the owner so much a farewell as he made his way off.
x3 Heal Powder = 1350 x2 Energy Powder = 1000 x1 Energy Root = 800 x1 Revival Herb = 2500
Total = 5650
Updating the items, if someone could deduct the funds.
