Boldly Going Where No One Has Gone Before
The trees were alive with arousing color. It was like as-if someone had come along to dipped a brush and proceeded to paint the world in astonishing watercolor. Trees were always very lovely in the autumn, but Ilex Forrest is very special example of such beauty. There was just so many of the exploding colors all around that even the very sunlight itself had been dyed with a tinge of yellow due to the reflections. Add in that the weather was at a perfect, balmy temperature of 64° F and a slight breeze, the weather you could not have asked anything more of.
"Sweeeeeeeelllllloooooow!"
Overhead, Cheeky comes swooping down from the sky and through the rich canopy of leaves, landing right before his trainer. Nadia had planned to venture through these woods to forge her way to Goldenrod City. It has been an awfully long time since she has been to that place and she was looking forward to it. Always the sister city of Saffron City, which Nadia had gone to many times because of her father working for Silph Co., it'd almost be like going home. As a matter of fact, that's exactly what she planned to do once she got there. Hop aboard the bullet train, having her parents forwarding her a pass, then meeting up with them once she gets to Saffron City. From there she would take a break from her journey to see her family... it has sure been a long time, not since the festival back in Ecruteak City.
"What's the word, bird?" Nadia bent down and put her hands on her knees, smiling at Cheeky. "Did you chart a course out for us?"
The regal bird nodded in acknowledgement, proud to serve as the team's navigator. While in the larger scheme of things, Nadia picked where they would go. But when it came to places like this, Cheeky was in charge so help make sure nobody becomes lost. With his natural sense of direction and top of the line eyesight, he can pick up on the tiniest landmarks even from high in the sky. Nadia already once before had a bad experience with venturing into the woods without any real direction and that turned out to be almost fatal due to an unexpected encounter with a gigantic Ursaring. But ever since Cheeky had come on board, such a disaster was avoided ever again.
"Wonderful, Cheeky! You know what to do."
Given the go-ahead, Cheeky took up to the local sky above. He flew beneath the canopy of the forest to prevent Nadia from losing sight of him behind all the leaves, but high enough so he could still get a real good view around.
Leading the way as Cheeky did, Nadia and her bird followed what seemed to be a pretty define path. But in this place, there were many of them both new and worn. The passages would even criss-cross like a wicker basket, causing great confusion to those unprepared to venture forth properly. There are no Pokemon Centers in the woods, so being well stocked is always a plus. And that's what Nadia thought herself as: Well stocked with supplies. Not taking lightly to the woods, she trusted the guide of her Swellow.
Before long, the two had come to a fork in the road. At this time, Cheeky would usually choose which path the two would take for the most efficient route. But this time, things were a little different. Looking discombobulated at the junction was a young man. He seemed to be highly flustered about something, on his wit's end and pulling at his hair.
"Umm... excuse me, sir?" Nadia approached the young man, waving at Cheeky to come on down and land at her side. "Is something the matter? You're not lost in the woods, I hope."
((Hope I post in here rather than make a new topic; Correct me if I'm wrong))

Despite the façade of calm that covered the whole of Ilex Forest, it appeared that there were far more worrying prospects to be had as anyone willing to delve into the myriad of trees would soon find out. Shady Glen was arguably the launch pad for adventurers to delve into the other sections of the forest and due to this, it had a tamed feel to the nearby foliage. Although tame, the panic stricken storm a male figure was kicking up seemed to be detracting from the tame qualities of the area. A lone teenager who was pacing up and down furiously, wrought with panic was situated in the area. He kept peering into the further pathways that led deeper into the forest but chickened out as he moved closer to them. In the end, the lad found a stump and sat himself down on it, his hands propping his sulking head. What a day it had been for him. Things would soon take a turn for the better however. The flapping sound of wings and footsteps off in the distance caught the youth's attention. Perking up and looking to see who was coming, he was greeted with the sight of Nadia and her Pokemon. The young male jumped up and instantly walked over to greet her personally. " Hi! Yes! I mean... No, i'm not lost. I know these woods pretty damn well having lived in Azalea for all my life. No, that's not the problem. Gah! It's such a pain." The kid kicked a pebble that was in front of his foot and shrugged. " A real pain." Realising he had yet to introduce himself, the male cleared his throat and revealed his name. " OH! Sorry, forgive me. I'm just really lost at the minute with what to do... Name's Sylvester! If you've heard any of the gossip around town you'll know i'm part of the Charcoal Kiln! Me and my pa operate the service." He grinned proudly of this fact but his face soon turned sour. " ...My dad's gonna KILL me when he finds out I only went and lost the famous Farfetch'd duo. They're pretty much the heart and soul of our business. They use their expert cutting skills to slice the wood and then we take them to pops who fries all the wood into charcoal! Neat, huh?" He then sighed and shrugged wearily. " Only, those two never listen to me. I was never good at handling Pokemon so I decided to carry on the family business instead. Too bad it involves dealing with those two tear aways." He drooped and carried on sadly. " I only want them to do the move Cutting Attack but they just turn their nose at me." He perked up again as he looked at Cheeky. " Say, you're a Pokemon trainer right? I'd be EVER so appreciative if you could go and retrieve those two for me. I was wandering about the forest when they split up. I can sort of remember the scenery but you'll have to go searching yourself. I can't go in without any Pokemon. I was debating it but this rather deadly looking Weedle stopped me dead in my tracks. That and I hear there's ghosts roaming the woods..." Shuddering in fear, Sylvester instead hoped she would comply and help him out. The idea of incentive popped in the teenager's head. " If you can help find them I might even be able to share with you the secret art of cutting! Considering how many trees cover the whole of Ilex you'll likely be needing it to get out to Goldenrod." He pondered with a hand on his chin and began recalling where exactly he had lost the troublesome birds. " Right... If you do help me out I can give you some hints. I distinctively remember losing one Farfetch'd in this REALLY bright part of the forest. So illuminating it was. Then the other Farfetch'd... Well, he got the funny idea in his head to flee too and that was in a part of the forest that had an abundance of... Hm. Really brown coloured Pokemon. It was a bit surreal." Pausing, Sylvester was content he had given enough information. He had forgotten most of the ordeal from being so panic stricken. " Oh well, that's about all I can remember for now but it should be enough to go on. If you start trekking about the forest and go searching for Pokemon I bet those nuisances will turn up right away if you're in the right place. If ya can do this, I owe ya! Good luck." With that, the charcoal kiln worker sat down on the stump and seemed to be trying to remember any other clues. " If you get stuck, try and make your way back here and i'll let you know of any other hints I have."

A FARFETCH'D CHASE
Nadia listened intently to what the young man, Sylvester, had to say concerning his predicament. He spoke that he was apart of the "Charcoal Kiln", which she honestly had never heard of before. Well, it must've been one of those small town local businesses that's only famous within a certain range from where it is established. Nadia, being all the way from Vermillion City in the Kanto Region, had never heard of such a thing. Hard to think that somebody would actually make a living off producing charcoal alone, especially considering the advancements in today's modern technology. Well, Johto as a whole does seem to share a lot of older styled homes and traditions than Kanto does, so maybe owning such a business isn't such a bad thing. There were no disrespects in her thoughts to herself, it just stuck out as a little weird yet interesting at the same time.
Regardless, the staple for their business, a pair of Farfetch'd, appear to have run off. Considering that the Pokemon don't technically belong to the boy, but to his father, the possibility that they haven't accepted him through family ties is quite possible. If he maybe had the Hive Badge, it could help out a lot since Pokemon seem to recognize the symbol of authority. Then again, Riolu didn't technically belong fully to Nadia to begin with, yet he obeyed her in battle even without proper badges. Anything outside, though, he did his own way. Well, no use worrying about it right now... Sylvester had just finished explaining his ordeal and it was quite a lot. He mentioned something of ghosts, but it was vague and didn't worry the girl much.
"Hmm... well, alright. I guess I can spare some time to help you get your dad's Pokemon back." Nadia placed a hand onto her chin and wrapped her pointer finger around to her cheeky, tapping on it lightly. "I cannot promise premium results, however. I mean, I'm not their master either, so they may try to run off when I approach them as well. If you don't mind, I might have to ruffle their feathers a little bit. I won't try to do much, maybe just use my Pikachu to paralyze them so they can't get far and bring them back. Even when I bring 'em back like that, it should even be easier for you to wrangle them back home as well. Just don't forget a quick trip to the PC for a quick heal. That a'right with you?"
After coming to an agreement that Nadia would try her best to do nothing more than paralyze the leek wielding ducks. She turned to Cheeky, whom had been listening to the conversation the whole time, and ask him to fly up and see if he couldn't spot any areas that fit the description given by the hints. Soaring up into the skies high above, high beyond the tree tops Cheeky went, Nadia thought that the few minutes she had to spare while waiting for an idea of where to go, she'd get a certain party member clued up on the details of their little outing today. Drawing out the Pokeball with a bolt of lightening from it, she released Chuchu.
"Pikachu-chu?" Asked the female Pikachu.
"Alright, Chuchu, got something I need to tell ya." Nadia started to explain. "We're going off track for a little while to help Sylvester here find his father's Farfetch'd. I want to bring them back with as little hassle as possible and I'm hoping to use your Thunder Wave to help lasso them home. Can I count on you to help out?"
Smiling, Chuchu held up her right paw, doing her best impression of a thumbs-up (despite lacking thumbs), and winked. She understood completely and just thought it would be nice to be out of the Pokeball for a while. And with the way the forest scents were blowing in the air, it was an over-stimulation to her nose! It just invigorated her instincts and going for a bit of adventuring just seemed perfect! It'd be a nice activity after that long lull since the Azalea Gym.
Coming back down, Cheeky began to squawk, indicating that he had found something. Whether it was a Farfetch'd or just something matched one of the descriptions that Sylvester made, it didn't matter. It was a lead and that's all that did count. Nadia nodded to Cheeky, turned to Chuchu and bent down, allowing her to climb up onto her shoulder. If they were to run into one of the Farfetch'd, it'd be better to not waste any time fumbling with a Pokeball if they're going to be quick to flee.
"Alright, Sylvester, we're heading out now." Nadia winked to the boy. "Meet us back up by the forest entrance house and we'll bring back your Farfetch'd one at a time, a'right? We'll try to be quick about this."
Making sure Chuchu had a good grip on her shoulder, Nadia waved goodbye to the young man and gave Cheeky the OK to lead once more. The group then ventured further into the woods, off the usual path beaten path and into the shrubs. It didn't take long for the group to be out of sight of the boy and within the thickets of the trees. Eventually, up ahead they discovered that the forest started to get a little bit more thin, which allowed for more sunlight to shine through. What it lacked in an overwhelming number of tall trees, it made up with dozens of small bushes and shrubs that basked in the breaking light.

A FARFETCH'D CHASE
[Returning from Luminous Vale]
The bright area that Sylvester spoke of truly wasn't that far off. If he had just indicated with a point, he could've really said "Well, the one Farfetch'd is right about... there he is. Yup. Five feet away." Exactly why he decided to speak in riddles, it was hard to say. Regardless, Nadia had done the first task of bringing home the first runaway Pokemon. It was a little beat up as its wings needed to be clipped because of its behavior, but it would be fine. With half a bottle of Super Potion left, its wounds would even heal up a touch. Top it off with a trip to the Pokemon Center, Farfetch'd will be as good as new. Hopefully this little incident will teach it to be better behaved.
"Sylvester! There you are!" Nadia approached the boy who was waiting at the indicated spot, not too far off from where they first met on this fine autumn day. "I got you back your dad's Farfetch'd! Sorry I had to knock it out... while we were looking for it, it drew its leek and was threatening me with it. Chuchu then zapped it pretty good because she was trying to defend me..." Handing over the knocked out bird, and Chuchu throwing the leek to the boy's feet, Nadia then dug back into her pocket and pulled out the half used Super Potion. "And here, use the rest of this. It'll help out Farfetch'd a bit."
"Swellow! Swellow!"
Off in the distance, Cheeky's cries could be heard as he flew towards his trainer. He landed right nearby and ruffled his feathers, trying to indicate that he may have found something. He had that antsy feeling about him that he wanted to lead Nadia and Chuchu to an area where the other Farfetch'd may be. Nodding to the bird, she turned to Sylvester once more.
"Looks like my Swellow may have found the other one, maybe," She said still with a hint of guilt in her voice. "I really don't mean to dash, but we're going to bring back that second Pokemon for you, too. In the meanwhile, head to the Pokemon Center with that one, alright? Get it submitted there and then we'll meet here again. I hope I don't have to bring the other one back like we had to with this one..."
Obviously overcome with guilt, she felt bad about breaking her promise with Sylvester. She had given her word that they would only be zapped with a Thunder Wave at most, then hauled home. Not knocked out like this. Letting Cheeky lead the way once more, Nadia followed with heavy regret in her heart. She prayed the second Farfetch'd wouldn't be this difficult...

Having just noticed a rustling coming from deep within the shadowed pathway leading out to one of the other areas of the forest, the teenager seemed paralysed with apprehension as he awaited to see what would come forth. Would it possibly be one of those rumoured ghosts that played tricks on travellers? The idea sent shivers down his spine. Sylvester would soon find out his fear was misplaced as out of the perpetual darkness emerged a familiar face. The sight of Nadia made him breath a sigh of relief and he ran over to greet her. Noticing she had retrieved one of the troublesome pair of Farfetch'd, Sylvester beamed positively. "Wow! You must have a lot of skill to have conquered one of these in battle. I've seen how staunch their fighting skills are. In all honesty, I wasn't expecting you to manage grabbing one back with just a Thunder Wave considering how stubborn they are."
Shrugging, it was besides the point. If Nadia could take care of one, then she was more than qualified to deal with the other. He gratefully took the Farfetch'd in one arm and pocketed away the leek. "Can't be too careful. I'll make sure he doesn't use this until we've got this whole mess smooth over." As she handed him half of a Super Potion, his eyes widened with surprise. "Wow! That's really kind of you... I'll spray some in a bit. As it stands, this troublesome nuisance can stand to wait. Might give him a chance to reflect on his behaviour." Interrupted by the possibility of finding another Pokemon, Sylvester nodded and urged her to hurry. "Don't mind me, i'll wait here for you. If you need any more clues on where I think I lost it, just let me know. It was definitely in an area where the Pokemon were all similarly coloured." Dragging the Farfetch'd back to the stump he was sitting at, Sylvester applied part of the potion and shook his head at it with annoyance.

Letting out a tiresome puff, it was clear Joey had been on the run for quite some time. Having just made it out of Slowpoke Well in the nick of time before the police turned up, he had to sneakily enter the P.C. to swap around some Pokemon before high tailing it out of Azalea before getting apprehended. Running like the wind, he made for the Western most exit and before long, found himself immersed in what appeared to be a myriad of trees stretching as far as the eye could see. Even looking up to the sky was a perplexing experience with just how much foliage was blocking out the views above. Stopping to catch his breath for a second, Joe doubled over and slowly calmed down. As he did, he relaxed back up to his normal posture and began really taking in the sights and sounds of this wild forest. " Sure is different in here. I remember when my ma took me to Viridian Forest... It was big yeah but this is just... Phwoar." Circling around on the spot, the biker was pretty bowled over just by the lack of buildings. " Seems like this is one place people ain't spoiled." Falling quiet again, his eyes darted in and out of the various bushes as if looking for something. " Bet there's a fair few rare 'uns hiding about." Placing both his arms behind his back and over his shoulders, he slowly trudged on with his boots kicking against the barely trodden dirt path. Perhaps it was the fact that not many police would be on patrol here or the fact the plentiful fresh air surrounding him was perking his spirits, he just felt at ease. " After all that mayhem in the well I need a bloody good rest." Strolling on further, he casually made his way deeper and deeper into Ilex Forest until he began noticing a change in his surroundings. The trees had been thick before, sure, but these were a lot different. Standing even taller, they blocked out the sun entirely and only let in sporadic amounts of light. It created an eerie sense of dusk almost but nevertheless, the surrounding area seemed pretty easy on the eyes. Although the blonde thief had wished for a bit of rest, it appeared that trouble wasn't too far off as usual. Coming out of his peaceful trance, his eyes focused further ahead on what seemed to be another person. " Greeeeat. If it's selling something stupid like Pokeball insurance, I really ain't interested." He mumbled under his breath. Instead, as he drew closer, he noticed the person was clad primarily in a green not to dissimilar from the rest of this plentiful forest and etched over the poor young lad's expression was that of absolute panic and concern. " Oh Joe... Here we go again." Clearing his throat to catch his attention, he asked out to the troubled teenager. " Yo there! Somethin' bothering ya? You don't look like you're enjoying this natural beauty and fresh air at all." Looking around, he didn't see any signs of anyone else so it wasn't like there had been a recent mugging or anything. " Anythin' I can help with? I'm kinda just waltzing about for a bit so y'know... Just say if there is. I might look like bit of a delinquent but my heart's in the right place, heh." That had been something Joey pre-empted a lot in conversation. Half the time he wasn't too sure if they were intimidated by his appearance.

Sylvan couldn’t believe what he had just managed to do. Losing the bosses Farfetch’d… now how rhe hell had he gotten that accomplished? He had been looking around for hours, but to no avail it seemed as the two flying types were nowhere to be found. Sighing, he looked down at his shoes. What was he supposed to do now? “Great…there goes my pay for the next ten years…” he sighed quietly to himself. Maybe the pay and maybe his job… Though he lifted his head as soon as someone called out to him, and upon seeing the scraggly biker standing in front of him, he backed up a bit. But, this man’s tone was friendly enough, so he then nodded to his offer to help. “Actually, yes..maybe you can help…You see, my name is Sylvan. I work at the Charcoal Kiln in Azalea town and I was out here cutting logs with the bosses Farfetch’d this morning when they ran off. They’ve done that before, but this time I can’t seem to find them…they're somewhere here in Ilex forest though for sure.” The distressed look on his face grew as he seemed to just be realizing this. “I want them to be alright, but even if I find them myself they won’t come back easily and will probably need to be brought back after a battle… Do you think you could look for them? You look strong and I don’t quite have any Pokemon on me right now, because they scare the Farfetch’d I work with…” he said, being sure to warn Joey of the battle he may encounter beforehand. _____________________________________________________ Quest Encounter

Listening to the lad's words carefully, it seemed like it was time for Joe to assist with another person's grief. " Sounds like quite the predicament. Not to worry, i'll hunt the blighters down and have them back to you in no time at all." Thinking it over, it would be a shame if a small business such as the charcoal kiln of Azalea were to meet an unfortunate end. " If you don't tell ya boss, I won't either, alright?" Also in Joe's mind was the thought that the more people he helped, perhaps the more who would come to support him if he ever needed hiding from the long arm of the law. It was all win-win for the most part. Plus it gave him a chance to use his plundering skills for some actual good for once. " Considering you said you lost them not too long ago they ought to still be around in this neck of the woods." Pointing to a chopped stump nearby to them, he pointed at it and grinned. " Haha, might wanna take a seat there." Diverting his gaze elsewhere, he began sizing up the paths for him to take. " I don't think i'll get too lost here. At least this isn't no godammned cave." Looking off to the left path which seemed to trail off into the distance, he began his leisurely stroll to find these troublesome pair. As he moved further on, the weirdest change in light made itself known to the biker thief. Although it had been shady, the light seemed to grow in intensity. " What do we have here?" He pondered before fully entering the clearing.

Not long after the horrendous snowstorm that had walloped Azalea rolled out, a brand new slice of foul weather came galloping in; a lovely little hurricane. Tanya sagged against a tree, her hair slick from the downpour that seemed to be blocked out by the thick forest canopy. Her face and clothes were damp but not soaked, which she was grateful for as a perpetual chill seemed to linger in the air here. The sound of the hurricane was lessened slightly, but the howling winds caused the trees to sway, which was unnerving given how tall, and therefore old, they were.
Starscream and Saphira stood a few feet away, surveying the gloomy forest for signs of activity. The Charmeleon turned back to her trainer and hopped over an exposed root, waiting for Tanya to relax a little after running like mad through the weather into the forest. Tanya smiled at the crimson dragon and sighed, stretching her arms. "No point in lingering any longer. Let's get rolling," the auburn-haired girl spoke, wringing out her hair of any remaining wetness.
She'd gone back to her usual attire; gray and black long-sleeved shirt, jeans, boots and messenger bag. There was no need to get dressy for a traipse in the forest, and the weather was too chilly for anything short-sleeved. Adjusting the strap of her bag, Tanya walked away from the tree she'd been leaning against and followed Saphira back to where her loyal Skarmory waited, his eyes piercing through the gloom to see deep into the heart of the forest.
"Spot anything, Bright Eyes?" Tanya asked as she stopped at his side, inclining her head to look at him. The steel bird dipped his beak and stepped aside, flaring his wings before leaping into the air. Circling around them once, Starscream led the way deep into the misty depths, keeping a steady pace so that they would not lose track of him as they walked. Saphira's warm tail chased the damp cold away and acted like a beacon as she hustled ahead of her trainer, eager to make herself important.
Finally Starscream descended to the ground and cawed, waiting patiently as Tanya and Saphira caught up and found what he'd led them towards. A boy dressed in a blue-green outfit, looking rather distressed and panicked, was searching aimlessly amongst the shrubbery, calling out a few times, though at this distance what he was trying to find was indistinct and vague to her ears. "Well, if anything it won't hurt to see if we can help. He may even be able to help us figure out this maze of a forest," the girl said, chewing on her lip before shaking her head with a sigh.
Jumping over a gnarled stump, she made her way swiftly over to the kid and paused a few feet away so as to not startle him into heart failure, Starscream and Saphira sticking close behind. "Excuse me? The name's Tanya and I'm wondering if you need any help. You look close to a panic attack," Tanya spoke tentatively, leaning her head to one side in sympathy. "I've got no plans so if you need my help, don't feel guilty asking for it."

Having not seen Tanya creep up on him, Sylvester jumped about as high as the surrounding trees when she spoke out to him. As he turned to face her after slowly composing himself, he had another shock in seeing some of the Pokemon she had, specifically that of the battle hardened Starscream. Turning as white as a sheet, the need to find his lost Pokemon weighed greater than that of his fear, meaning he amazingly found the confidence to speak up. " Woah... Kinda got me there. Heh, don't worry." Waving his hands to dismiss the matter, a wave of panic came over his face in place of the look of fear. " I am glad to see you're willing to help me. I'd been trying to get some other passer-bys but they all laughed at me." Shrinking in his demeanour and with a heavy look to the floor, the teenage boy continued on. " Basically, i'm part of the world famous Azalea Charcoal Kiln. I'm sure you've heard of me, right? Right? Riiiiiight...?" With a fleeting look of reputation running away from him, he sighed and pressed on. " Nevermind. Either way, i'm part of this Charcoal Kiln. Me and my pa operate the service actually. He fires up all the logs into charcoal and... Well... I'm supposed to hunt out here for wood but so much for that." With a defeated snort, he looked off into the forest's entrance. " My old man used to do it with his Farfetch'd but since I got roped into the business, he's placed the two birds in my care and tasked me with collecting the wood." Shaking his head infuriatingly, he revealed a bit more of his plight. It seemed the Farfetch'd felt him to be a joke and did whatever they wished. " They just don't listen to me. I order them to do Cutting Attack and they burst out with laughter and go about as they please. It's a NIGHTMARE keeping them under wraps." Letting out a sigh after revealing so much, he propositioned his predicament to Tanya. " So yeah. I guess you can tell already. I lost 'em out in the forest would ya believe. I don't suppose you could help me fetch them?" Digging into his pockets, he began shoving all bits of money and items in her face. " Hey! I could give you this... Or hey how about this... It's a Groudon card! Rare to boot... No wait..." Digging in again, he produced a sealed disc. " How about this. Our special cutting technique! I can guarantee if you ever wanna leave this forest you'll be needing this." Realising he may have had bit of a bargaining tool, the youth cracked a smile and nodded. " So you're in I take it? My name's Sylvester by the way, pleased to meet you Tanya." He nodded in response to T revealing her name and smiled. " I'd... Go with you but i'm afraid i've heard some pretty spooky stuff about Ilex Forest these days. They say ghosts are roaming about or something so... Mind going in without me? I'll just wait here for ya." Nodding his head he just remembered something else that would aid Tanya in her quest to find these troublesome pair. " Oh aye. Best tell ya now... I think I may know where some are. I was out cutting pine trees when I know I had the two of them with me. But then I stumbled onto a really surreal part of the forest which was all brown. Then I noticed one had sneaked off... Then the other... Hm... I seemed to be blinded by an intense ray of sunlight and I guess the other took off then." Shaking his head again slowly, Sylvester really couldn't get over his trouble. " You wouldn't believe how many times they've pulled this stunt on me before. It's getting a bit out of hand..." Sighing again hopelessly, he moved over to a nearby stump just ripe for sitting and perched himself on top of it. A sudden gush of wind that blew by and disturbed the whole of the once peaceful Shady Glen caught his attention. " Aiyaiyaiyaiy... There a hurricane or something going on out there?! The woods have been restless today it seems. Something was really up when I was collecting wood at the start... Ah well. Best of luck finding them!" With a wave, he said a farewell to Tanya and seemed to pull out a dual screen device and began playing on it.

The sudden paling of the youth's face had her biting a grin back; Starscream had that effect on people who didn't know anything about the steely raptor. Hell, even people who knew him still gave him a fairly wide berth. Tanya listened to the kid's plight and nodded with each bit of information she received; a pair of fairly important Pokémon were loose in the forest and he needed some help getting them back.
Wandering Pokémon were bad enough, but the fact they were this disobedient made her glad she sported two Badges and some modicum of control over her own. When the kid suddenly thrust stuff from his pocket almost up her nose, Tanya took a small step back and threw up her hands. "Aye kid, I'm not exactly greedy so you don't really have to give me anything," she said, trailing off slightly as he mentioned a Groudon card. When she was younger she absolutely adored collecting cards...
However, the kid got her attention back when he produced a sealed disc and waved it tantalizingly in front of her face. Even if he hadn't done it, there was no way she could turn down someone in such a plight. "No worries kid. I've got a bird with the sharpest eyesight around and a motley crew of partners acting as backup. I'll get your little slackers back in time for lunch," the fiery-haired girl promised with a grin. Starscream padded over and nudged her happily for her high praise.
Looking at the canopy as she adjusted her bag, Tanya was glad she was protected from the worst of the weather. "Yeah, kid, there's quite a tormenta raging. Hurricane Deena," she said as she walked towards a slightly lighter area of the forest with her Pokémon in tow. Did the kid live under a rock or something? Starscream took flight and led the way again, his head shifting each direction as he scanned for potential threats and one of these hooligan fowls.

Incoming from Luminous Vale
It only took a few minutes for Tanya and her team to return to the Glen where Sylvester waited. A bright smile was sitting on her face when she finally came into view of the worried youngster, hefting the bird a little more securely in her arms. "Yo Sylvester! I got a present for ya," she called out, emerald eyes sparkling. Clearly the fiery-haired girl was right proud of herself for locating one of the mischievous birds so swiftly.
Tanya bent down and laid it on a pile of leaves, placing its leek beside it. "My Aron went a little crazy on him, but he should be alright if he gets enough rest," she said as she rose up, dusting her arms off. The girl turned away from him and looked at the waiting form of Starscream, who had landed in a tree and was waiting patiently for the go-ahead to move.
"As much as I'd like to stay, I wanna keep looking around for that other sneaky, feathery ninja," Tanya stated before snapping her fingers, calling Saphira to her side and causing Starscream to lift into the air again, circling round before heading off in a different direction. Tanya lifted her hand and waved it slightly in farewell as she hurried off after her Skarmory, eager to get back to work.

Trudging in from Luminous Vale. After leaving behind the serenely beautiful Luminous Vale, it was a relieving sight to be welcomed with as the group made it to the rather mundanely boring Shady Glen. It looked very peaceful but Joe still couldn't shake the feeling that it was nothing more than the forest's very own door mat. Moving towards the centre of the glen, he began looking around to see if the person he had agreed to help was anywhere nearby. " Hm, can't see him. Maybe he feel asleep in the bushes or summat." Peering over some of the foliage and then bending down slightly to look under some of the low lying trees, it didn't appear there was anywhere nearby that he could see. " Hm. Maybe i'll call out?" Cupping one of his hands near his mouth, the rowdy biker yelled out to gain Sylvan's attention. Hopefully. " OI OI! ANYONE HOME? I GOT THE TWO PAIR OF SODS YOU WERE AFTER?!" Calming down his shouting, he turned around on the spot a few times to see if anyone was approaching. To be ready, he grabbed the Farfetch'd that was tied up in his leather jacket, before proceeding to grab the other Farfetch'd from his Charmeleon. With the two now tightly gripped in his hands, he awaited for Sylvan.
