Name:
Lucky Yuudai
Age:
Sixteen
Gender:
Male
Trainer Type:
Trainer
Hometown:
Ecruteak City
Appearance:
Far ahead in his teens, Lucky appears to be in the final portion of his growth. Tall with a slightly athletic build, Lucky had been the subject of his mother’s teasing when it came to his long arms. Literally reaching his knees, this is one feature that isn’t even due to genetics. However, his true uniqueness is in his facial features. Under his dazzling white locks, Lucky’s sharp, dark green eyes had always made him seem intimidating. With a similarly sharp nose and a slim jaw, he unfortunately came across to others as a bad kid.
Because of this, Lucky constantly tried to balance out his looks with being well-dressed. White collared shirts, dark blazers, and slim ties had been his natural wear since young. Never feeling uncomfortable, he would finish the ensemble off with a black pant and dark canvas shoes. Obviously, this was not always seasonally feasible. Therefore, in the summer, he sticks with plaid shorts and witty, Pokémon related t-shirts. In the winter, he would maintain his natural look, having almost no weakness to the freezing cold. In addition to all of this, Lucky wears a small, silver medallion, hanging on a long dark hazel string. It’s seems to be the same symbol of the Ecruteak’s fog badge.
Personality:
Lucky prides himself on being the sanest person in the world. Well, of course this is his opinion. However, he attempts to live the idea of simplicity to its fullest potential. Instead of being blithe, he contains himself and keeps a naturally chill composure. Usually, he finds nothing except personal loss to get him down, but that doesn’t mean that he’s the most cheerful kiddo in town. On the other hand, he also can’t be described as bleak. The youthful trainer is quite friendly, having an assortment of ways to make people smile. Sarcasm seems to only be a tool used with those whom he just can’t stand; otherwise, he’s pleasant at most.
Nevertheless, don’t underestimate him. He’s reasonably knowledgeable about Pokémon, being halfway to a Pokémon professor in smarts. He isn’t particularly ambitious, but he makes up for that with quick-wits. Surprisingly, his approach to battling can be a weakness. When confident about winning, he’s dangerous. When unsure about winning, he seems to give up; yielding almost. What defines him as a trainer is his interest in Pokémon. He takes Pokémon information and treats it like a compelling novel. Being affectionate to them, however, does not come natural for him. And he often reacts to them like an awkward father.
History:
Nepotism. Lucky’s grandfather had promoted his son to regional manager of a berry business that was becoming quite prosperous in West Johto. The ambitious son’s headquarters were as expected, Ecruteak City. There the young man had stumbled across what seemed to be a Pokémon yoga studio, where the foreign meditite and medicham were revered. He had unintentionally upset the rumination of a hippie-esque student of the studio. She was brutally upset with him, and they got into an argument. Frustrated, she ran off to Route 37. With a change of a heart, he followed her to apologize. He hesitates when he spots her being attacked by a frenzied growlithe. Taking out his trusty meowth, the young man saved the young woman from the frantic Pokémon. After apologizes, they developed feelings for each other. Fast forward two years, they married and Lucky was born.
Lucky was born to appreciate the art of meditation, due to his mother being a fanatic. However, as an adolescent, he took exacting notice of the local Pokémon gym. He was accepted by the Sages and Mediums of the gym as an unofficial fanboy, and the mediums and sages had taught him secrets about ghost pokemon. He wasn’t necessarily fond of ghost-types. They weren’t scary to him, but he just was interested in pokemon in general. His mother had a harsh relationship with one of the mediums of the gym, and literally forced Lucky and his father to move, so her son wouldn’t get influenced by them.
Their new home became Cherrygrove City, where Lucky spent most of his schooling days. Most of his days were spent goofing around and fishing with friends. They had competitions to reel in the largest magikarp, and Lucky has the record of second place for one weighing 14.5 kg. The local wise man and Lucky were extremely close, and he had a large impact on Lucky’s perception of the world today. When Lucky sixteen, most of his friends had moved or became trainers. Wanting something similar, Lucky had asked for the advice of the wise man. He spoke of a nearby pokemon laboratory, where had been the haven for several trainers. Lucky’s ears perked up with the words ‘laboratory’. It seemed like a dream to him, and informing his parents of his decision, he began his journey.
Goals:
As for his ‘occupation’ as trainer, he has no far-reaching goals. He doesn’t think that the Elite Four is necessarily a far shot, but he doesn’t like deliberating about the future. His passion happens to be Pokémon data; thus, he has a minor desire to become a professor.
