((sorry this took so long >>))
How, indeed, the Poke Ball managed to capture and contain such a creature of ungodly proportions was tantamount to a near miracle. The monstrous rock snake was still shaking its head from Metalhead's brutal assault when the ball struck it square in the face, bouncing off the wounded cheek.
The savage growl it uttered before the ball sprang open even had Metalhead a little worried.
The Aron took a hasty several steps backwards to escape the wrath of the Rock beast should it escape and wreak untold havoc, but with its health down so low, and paralyzed to boot, it had no chance in the nine circles of hell of getting free.
With the usual thunk, the red and white sphere dropped to the cave floor, beginning its madcap shaking and rolling. Charmeleon watched the small sphere twitch, wondering if the beast would just shatter it due to its sheer girth. But the wonders of a Poke Ball were better off left unknown sometimes, and the three of them could only be thankful that it didn't let hell loose on them.
So it was with that final, joyful click that the two Pokemon let out simultaneous sighs of relief.

The much awaited 'click' sounded and the group breathed a collective sigh of relief. It looked as if they were safe for another day until some other colossal Pokemon decided to squish them like mere insects. Joey raised his hand and the Pokeball returned swiftly back to him. He lifted it up and down, amazed at the lightness of the ball. "Y'know, the world of physics really does surprise me. I dunno how it works... But it does!" He laughed and shrugged to his Pokemon. There was a lot in this world that didn't make much sense but for whatever reason, it was able to. "Right... I think I better look after this one for now. I can just imagine the chaos that would happen if it burst out of its confinement while being stored away..." He sighed and smiled wryly. "It'd be just one more thing for people to chase after me about." His Pokemon jumped up and down gladly and looked around the cave cautiously for any more potential leviathans that lurked in the shadows. Joey picked up on their hesitancy and brushed it off. "No worries guys. That Onix we caught was huge, I bet he was the only one snaking around this place. Anyways... If we travel along some. I think there's more rarer Pokemon down the way." They nodded in response and with a bit more confidence in their steps they trudged along with Joey who was sternly reading the tourist guide. "This cave has all sorts... Seriously... Not just rocky Pokemon but turns out there's some strong figh-" He paused as just at that very second, a rather rotound yellow thing jumped out of some rocks in front of them. It waved its fists around furiously and then stood in an offensive fighting stance. "Wow... Right on cue." Smirked Joey as he stuffed away his guide. "I was just looking at the page on you." It puffed its cheeks warningly but ultimately made Joey laugh out over how funny it looked. "Cute, that's pretty cool." The Makuhita shook its head furiously and resumed its stance. Perhaps it saw Joey and his group as a bunch of trespassers on its territory? There had been a Rocket member run through here earlier and not to mention that lunatic cult member. "Guess I better calm ya down...!" He threw out a Pokeball and sent out his special Exeggcute, Eggbert. "Alright Eggbert, let's show this guy that brains can overcome brawn!" Eggbert swirled around on the spot in unison and with a small leap in the air replied to Joey. " No yolk! We'll scramble this guy!" Joey slapped his forehead at the pun and decided on a move. "Let's test out Reflect!" The gang of eggs nodded and focused on the space in front of them. Simultaneously, they all closed their eyes and began concentrating heavily. So heavily, their shells began shaking furiously. As they reached breaking point, a heavy transparent wall substantiated in front of them, acting as a barrier to soften Makuhita's blows.

I've been hunting and in testament to my progress i've decided to nickname Onix after one of my favourite monsters in that game. ;D If you could take out Alexis/Sneasel/Quagsire (if still there) from my party and stick in Uragaan I would be much indebted. One last thing; if Eggbert could hold the Lucky Egg. It's time to crack him up a few levels.

((fixed your profile ~ now time to post before ZZ goes bonkers again))
It wasn't just the Rocket member's passing by that had irritated the rotund little Fighting type - it was the monstrous Onix's disturbances that had lured it out in such a towering temper. It studied Eggbert carefully through apparently closed eyes, letting its rage simmer down a notch. Letting itself lose control was a scary thought.
Crouching down slightly, it extended its gloved hands forward, one before the other. Eggbert waited patiently, his pink-hued repellent for physical blows sparkling softly in the dimly lit cave.
Without further warning the Makuhita blew forwards, surprisingly quick for such a fat little Pokémon. And despite the Reflect hampering the damage, and even with Eggbert's resistance to the type itself, its onslaught was impressive.
One punch. Eggbert winced. Two. Three. Four. Then it leapt back, grinning broadly as it stared down the bruised and battered little cluster of eggs. Eggbert huffed indignantly and glowered back at the Makuhita. "Think that really hurt us, fatty? We'll flip you sunny side down for that!" the Exeggcute vowed, bouncing a bit on the cave floor.
Those words served to easily wipe the smile off of the Makuhita's face, and it punched one fist into another, grumbling to itself. Eggbert let out a series of wheezy chuckles, eager to return the favor of doling out some damage. "Just give us the word, boss."
And we'll mess that lump up big time.

OOC: This will most likely be beyond crap but I kind of want to break a leg and capture this and a Zubat and make my way to Azalea.

The softened impact of the blows against Eggbert's masterfully done wall had Joey plotting all sorts of schemes in his head. "That move has so many uses... Being tailgated by police? WHAM! Being shot at? Not anymore...! Hell, it ain't that bad in terms of battling. Makuhita hits hard but this is going to make things remarkably easier." Clenching his fists enthusiastically, Joey let rip an order. "Alright Eggbert, let's break an egg and wrap this up. Time is a wasting and we're almost at that exit." Before Joey could finish with his order, Makuhita bulked itself up by sucking up some air and bulging his body threateningly towards them. Its stubby little arms whirled around its rotund body, readying itself for the next blow.
The sight was something to truly behold. Not for reason Makuhita had intended but how comical the podgy little fighter looked. Joey covered his mouth and sniggered. "Sorry little buddy but you'll have to save your comedy routine for later. Eggbert, let's splat!" Eggbert bundled together and nodded. "Ya don't even have to tell us. Let's shell this guy! And with that the group of eggs lined up single file and began launching themselves towards the puffed up Makuhita with a focused Barrage assault. "I hope these guys don't go too eggstreme, I wouldn't mind catching this fella." Joey mumbled in his head. "Can always do with some more brawn in the team." As he finished he realised another egg pun had been cracked in poor taste. He simply shook his head and sighed, almost resigning himself to the fact Eggbert had made such an impact on him.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Makuhita pounded one of its fist into the other, slanting a glare in Eggbert's direction, although it was hard to say if the pudgy little fighter was actually awake or not. "Yo lump'o'lard, what's with your little sleepy eyes? Too lazy to open them all the way?" the Exeggcute sneered, hopping forwards in preparation to strike out. The pink wall of Reflect shimmered hazily and moved with the Psychic type as he moved closer, inch by inch.
"Bombs away!" Eggbert roared before the mass of eggs hurled itself onto the wild Makuhita, bludgeoning it in two successive blows before bouncing away to a safe distance away, huddled together just in case the Fightying type decided to pick them off one by one. It wasn't inclined to return fire, however; it was rubbing the back of its head tenderly.
But when it finally stopped and stood absolutely still, Eggbert knew it was time for revenge. Charging forwards, its body jiggling in an extremely hysterical manner, the fat humanoid Pokémon cocked an arm back as it drew level with the large pink wall that softened physical blows before striking out. In the dank cave air, the silence was broken momentarily by the sound of something being socked repeatedly in the face four times in a row.
Eggbert was dazed and rather confused as the Makuhita backed off, looking rather pleased with its Arm Thrust. "What threw up on you, ugly?" he said stupidly, facing Joey's direction. Makuhita began to snicker, stealing a quick moment of glee. If this luck kept up, it would be able to push this trainer and his annoying Pokémon back and out of the cave to restore peace of mind. It still hadn't quite gotten over the indignation of the raging Onix from earlier. Wild Pokémon Battle

Makuhita was surely a deceiving Pokemon. Joey had pegged it as sluggish from the moment he laid eyes on it. And why shouldn't he? The Pokemon was rather bulbous around the waist. The overall speed of the Pokemon was very alarming, as well as the lightning quick jab of its fists. "I wonder if brains can really prevail over brawns in this battle." Joey observed the strength of the protective wall. It had taken the impact of a few haulage trucks and was still holding up. "Even more reason to wrap this up quicker. If that wall breaks I doubt Makuhita is going to let up on us." Eggbert nodded hurriedly in agreement.
Unfortunately for Eggbert, he only had one real course of action right now and that was to slowly whittle away Makuhita's health. Joey cocked his head to the side and repeated an old saying he knew from an aged man that lived back in Kanto. "In this world of Pokemon battling, speed determines the winner. Even the strongest and most resilient can be broken down and defeated... But lightning speed is the attribute that can make one truly unmatched." He nodded, confident he had recited the old man's words correctly. After all, he had heard it more than enough times from when Joey was a kid and had failed many a time in stealing from the old man. "You may be fast despite your weight but i'm pretty sure old Eggy here is just a tad bit faster. In other words..." He launched a pointed finger towards the fray. "...BARRAGE!" The group of eggs lined up, single file once more. This was their main mode of offence and because of this, it meant they had become very refined in how they executed it.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Eggbert was going to make sure the blubbery yellow creature standing before him didn't get in a nasty blow before he could make his mark. The Exeggcute hopped towards the waiting Makuhita, who was stomping each foot one after the other, as if it were a sumo wrestler simply getting ready for the next bout. If it was meant to intimidate, it sure as sugar wasn't working on the Exeggcute.
The Makuhita braced itself as Eggbert launched himself at it again, this time hailing attacks on it four times in a row. He backed off quickly, hoping that the Fighting type didn't have an ace up its sleeve that would knock him silly. And there it was, a subtle tightening of the opponent's muscles and a slight difference in its demeanour as it drew back a step or two.
But just as swiftly it was moving forwards, hurrying towards the large reflective wall with its arm held back again, though this time the other arm followed. Eggbert looked confused as the Makuhita passed through the screen and grabbed hold of the entire clutch before throwing them in the air. It was a move known as Vital Throw, a move that always went last. Eggbert's eggs all flailed about as they went sailing in the air, followed by the Reflect screen.
Each came bouncing down, the damage lessened thanks to the protective wall, though each felt rather bruised and aching. Eggbert huffed as he watched the Makuhita grimace and retreat slowly, knowing that it was almost as good as done. "We're a little more hardboiled than that, boyo," he quipped breezily. Joey gritted his teeth. "This thing's like a tank! Just how much stamina does this thing have?!" He looked at Makuhita observantly, it would seem that fatigue was only just setting in but it was still a long ways to go yet. "Eggbert, we might have to switch tactics. We obviously can't outmatch this guy in terms of strength." Eggbert nodded. "No yolk boss!" Joey thought over his options and eventually came to a conclusion. "If we make it fall asleep as well as the amount of damage you've done to it..." His eyes glinted. "We may just have a slim chance of capturing this." Makuhita punched its fists together and leered directly at them.
A small gulp came from Joe. "I ain't even sure this is gonna work... Tubby lil' guy's so worked up he might not even be the least bit sleepy... Err..." He looked to Eggbert and gave his order. "Make this a strong one, Hypnosis!" Eggbert had already began focusing its powers to ready the move. The eggs lined up together and each one peered at the Makuhita, its eyes becoming strangely alluring. A small flash burst from each of their eyes just as circular rays honed in on Makuhita. Joey rubbed his eyes. "Man oh man... It's not even being aimed on me and yet i'm feelin' a bit... A bit..." He slapped his face from side to side in an attempt to wake himself up.

Of course... make the blubberbutt go to sleep. Not only would it spare him some pain, it would probably make capture easier so that the battle would end smoothly. Lining up, the cluster of eggs focused a hypnotic gaze on Makuhita's face and sent out a mental suggestion with the translucent blue rings to increase melatonin production and put the bulky creature down for its nap.
It yawned, unsurprisingly, and rubbed at its crescent shaped eyes. Eggbert stopped the move after a few more silent moments of pun-less peace and waited to see if the Makuhita would fall over or something of that sort. As he watched, the Reflect wall continued to flicker and sparkle, shedding a pink toned light all over the immediate area. Yet still the Makuhita wasn't doing anything.
And of course, it was ridiculously hard to tell if it was sleeping with those weird eyes. Eggbert wanted to hop forwards and do something stupid to it, but he didn't need to bother; seconds after the thought crossed his mind, the Makuhita jerked out of its stupor and came charging right at him. (Ohcrapohcrapohcrapohcrap!) Of all the terrible luck, Hypnosis had missed and left him quite vulnerable to attack.
Makuhita chose to return to Arm Thrust, and Eggbert was once again socked in the face twice in a row. The Fighting type disengaged and hurried back, looking quite smug. This human really didn't know what he was dealing with, did he? "Sorry about that boss. Guess it's a bit of a devilish egg," the Exeggcute groaned. Wild Pokémon Battle

Joey let out a sigh at the missed attack and slumped on the floor. "You know... Maybe it IS asleep. Maybe it's just tittering around in its sleep...? Pokemon sleepwalk too right? This could be an advanced case of sleep fighting..." He stopped eventually and shook his head. "Who am I kidding." From his slumped sitting position he looked up and grimaces at the reflect screen. That wasn't going to hold up much longer. All Mr.Tubs had to do over there was just brush his belly against it for it to fall to pieces. "Well, almost there so might as well go for gold." He looked over to Eggbert and gestured with his head. "Try it again. 'Cept this time... Work?" In a pre-emptive move, Joey tugged his bandanna down to shield his eyes from the hypnotic rays. "I'm not fallin' asleep in this dingy murky piece of..." A loud snort echoed in the throughout the cave, startling Charmeleon. After a small facepalm, Charmeleon then nudged Joey awake with his foot. "UH?! HUH?! WHADDYA?! NO I DON'T LIKE WEARING NURSE CLOTH-" He paused, eyes narrowing. "Oh. Stupid delayed hypnosis induced sleep..."
He looked over angrily to Eggbert and told him off. "That got me eggheads!" His eye twitched; yet another terrible pun. "I used to think a talking Pokemon would be cool but this is e-..." He paused, covering his mouth. "...NOT THAT TIME! Extremely ridiculous!" A sigh of exasperated relief was had by Joe. That was one narrowly avoided pun. While Joe babbled to himself, Eggbert had focused his mind once again to endorse sleep into the pudgy little fighter. Their eerie eyes projected their hypnotic glow with added urgency. Eggbert himself was not looking forward to that safety barrier breaking.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "Right-o, boss! Scramble fighter eggs!" Eggbert chortled, ready to launch another attempt at hypnotizing the beefy Makuhita into sleeping. But one of the eggs had been facing the wrong way and sent the suggestive rays right at their trainer, causing Joey to doze off. When he scolded the Exeggcute for hitting the wrong target, the rest of the eggs turned around. "Oopsie crap, sorry boss!" they chattered.
Makuhita was grinning when the cluster turned back to face it, renewing Eggbert's determination to wipe that stupid smirk right off its face. He tried the attack once more, using his psychic powers to plant the suggestion of sleep into the Fighting type's head. Luckily this time it worked; Eggbert rather thought this contributed to the lifelong debate of brain versus brawn.
It all came down to determination and willpower. Obviously Eggbert was full to bursting of both, and these alone contributed to the Hypnosis' success. Within seconds of becoming drowsy, Makuhita yawned again before falling backwards with a loud snort that turned into a chain of snoring.
"Well that was overeasy," Eggbert observed. Reflect still lingered, shedding its ever pink glow onto the walls of the dank cave. Even if the Makuhita sprang to its feet and came charging at him again, it would keep damage down - but how much longer would it last? "Uh boss, better act quick before we get a bit cracked up," the Exeggcute suggested hurriedly; the idea had sent a bit of panic through him despite the continued snoring of his foe. The moment Hypnosis worked its magic on the brawny Makuhita, Joey pumped his fist in the air and grinned. "Alright...!" He covered his mouth before continuing in a faint whisper. "...Alright! I don't wanna wake him... God knows if this thing's a light sleeper or what. Right, we've got our chance to finish this now. I'm going to try snagging him." Joey went through his pockets haphazardly, it was only a matter of time before Makuhita roused itself from its slumber. That; or it was playing a cruel trick on Joe's team and was waiting for them to drop their guard and slug them hard. Eventually Joey found what he was looking for. A Great Ball. He was taking additional steps this time.
With a swift tap of the centre of the Great Ball, it enlarged to its correct size and was primed for capturing. "Okay-dokey... Nice 'n easy... Line 'em up... And... SCORE!" Exclaimed Joey as he launched a curveball straight towards the sleeping musclehead. The ball landed squarely on its chest, enveloping it in an alluring red light. With the Makuhita now connected with the Great Ball it was absorbed inside it. The ball landed with a metallic clang and begun its groove. "I hate this part..." Flinched Joey as he was fully expecting it to break out.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - When the lobbed Great Ball landed neatly on the Makuhita's bulky chest, the Fighting type gave a loud snort, causing Eggbert to leap away closer to Joey and Charmeleon. "Oh man, I really hope that lump stays asleep," the Exeggcute groaned, watching the ball draw in the still (thankfully) dozing opponent.
It dropped to the floor with a clatter and began to shake rather rapidly back and forth, a red light blinking on the button on the front. A thick silence enveloped the area, the only noises being made coming from the quivering Great Ball and a slow, steady drip of water somewhere up ahead. The silence was nearly suffocating, impressing a feeling of extreme tension.
And, finally, the ball stopped moving. A click rang out just as the red light faded from the button, signalling a successful capture. Eggbert let out a long suffering sigh of relief and turned to face his trainer. "Well boss, does this prove how hard-boiled and tough to beat we are?" he quipped, clearly just relieved to not be a punching bag anymore.

With the welcome rattle and roll echoing in the cave thrice, Joey let out a delighted sigh. "Looks like we didn't do too bad." He let out a small yawn, still feeling the effects of Hypnosis. "With that, we can pack some punch. Fighting type Pokemon may have more brawn than brains but that'll be all I need to get the drop on some of these Rocket grunts." As Joe raised his hand, the ball came zooming back towards his palm. He eagerly accepted it and placed it in his deep pockets. "Right... Well... That's all for now. Let's get out of this damp place. I've been in here for so long it feels like i've developed rickets or somethin'." Wearily, Joe slowly trod onwards towards the exit. The cave was not all that complex towards this final stretch and directed them conveniently towards a final exit in front of them. The bursts of sunlight piercing through into the darkened cave proved to lighten Joey's spirits. "I almost forgot what the sun looked like. I think as soon as we get out, i'm gonna find some nice tree and take a nap in it. This was exhaustive. Crazy hiker cultists, incredibly fierce wild Pokemon..." He let out a drowsy yawn before recoiling in pain. Only moment's away from the exit it seemed like he had been attacked by another wild Pokemon. Whatever it was, it was fluttering next to his neck, biting down on it fairly hard for its size. Joey let our a sharp cry of pain and began batting it away from his neck. It wasn't until Charmeleon swatted it with it's fiery tail that the unidentified Pokemon relinquished its bite on the tired thief. Joey leered into the darkness in an attempt to spot the attacker but to no avail. Charmeleon restlessly waved its tail around to shine light. After several attempts, the burning flame was directed upwards to where the mystery Pokemon was hiding. "PFFFFFFT! Figures!" Yelled Joey. "A ZUBAT!" He shook his head in an annoyed manner. "Actually, this was turning out too good to be true. I just went through an ENTIRE cave and didn't bump into one of those cretins. Arrrrgh...!" He looked at it as it fluttered around in the air, almost as if taunting him. "I'll snag you too!" Joey gritted his teeth and went for a Pokeball on his belt. "Let's try you out..." He chucked the selected Pokeball in front of him; paying some attention to run back slightly to save himself from being crushed under it. "GO! Uragaan!" With that, the Pokeball opened to reveal the gargantuan rock snake. It stood there in an aggravated manner. It had just been disturbed from it's peace once more. Joey looked to it and with a firm command issued his move. "Uragaan! See that pesky thing bothering your peace? It's kinda around your neck..." Uragaan looked around and spotted the troublesome pest. "Let's do this! Weaken it with your Rage!" The large Onix was more than happy to deal out some rage. After all, today had not been the most enjoyable day ever. First he was disturbed by much commotion from people running through, then he encountered his new trainer and was now being whisked away from its safe confines of its home. Feeling the anger build up inside, it raised its large stony tail and launched a swat at the Zubat.
Wheee i'm glad that caught successfully. I'm getting sick of being stuck here. D: MakuhitaName: Tubs Gender: Male Level: 14 Moves: Sand Attack, Arm Thrust, Vital Throw, Fake Out Ability: Guts Nature/Personality: Originating from the dark caverns of Union Cave; Makuhita had lived most of its life away from human contact. Because of this, Makuhita has developed a strong sense of justice and the principles of right and wrong along with a deep passion for fighting. Makuhita is a very jovial Pokemon otherwise, being so laid back that he is almost horizontal. When given the chance, it'll also gorge itself on foods in order to maintain a heavy weight. Replace Barrage with Bullet seed for Eggbert, thank you.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Zubat snickered as it heard the human vowing to capture it. Though it couldn't see a damn thing, it had excellent hearing and echolocation to guide it through the upcoming battle. What it was least expecting, however, was to hear the loud, irritated roar that blasted out of Uragaan's mouth with a large quantity of hot, putrid air. The little bat fluttered weakly against the powerful gust, barely able to keep aloft even after the Onix's roar died out.
There was a strange ringing in its ears that prevented it from hearing the swishing noise Uragaan's tail made as it whistled through the air to slam into the Zubat's side (or rather, entire body) and send it colliding into the cave wall. Shrieking, the bat slid down to the floor and lay there stunned by the sudden blow. But just as quickly, it flapped its wings and lifted off again, flying around looking for a place to hide and come up with an attack.
Except the fire from Joey's Charmeleon kept the shadows at bay and left the Zubat no choice but to attack head on. It was a suicidal sort of idea, but with so little options it would have to do. Screeching, the blue and purple flying mammal sped towards Uragaan's face and fluttered around it in a very annoying manner, causing the large snake to toss his head around angrily. After several moments of head swiveling, Uragaan realized he'd lost sight of the bat.
A loud, horrible noise erupted right next to the small holes where his ears sat, causing so much pain the Onix tossed his head upwards and scraped it against the ceiling. Zubat, having performed a successful Astonish attack, quickly darted away and circled around the edge of the light shed by Charmeleon's fire.
