Majestic Grove

A maniacally laughter rose at Kevin's comment and the pressure of the air grew and made it hard to breathe. A foul smell filled the air and a pair of eyes swirled around as the air slowly turned purple, a grinning mouth had its own life far to the left of the eyes, but there was no doubt that this spirit had a wonderful time. It showed it with all the visible bodyparts.
It had been a thin veil hanging at the edge of shadows for far too long, and had no memory of why it was here, or even what it was, but not long ago it had felt its power rising. It was like a pressure had been taken off it and it was now free to soar, to thrive on all the hate, anger and suffering this place had experienced so many years ago.

It briefly connected its grinning mouth and its two eyes, gastly! Then they parted ways and the purple cloud thickened as it spread out and let anyone around it suffer in its toxic gasses while it sucked in their pain and terror.

Having dealt with yet another spirit Kevin was relieved that nothing else could impede his progress to the shrine. He took the Life Orb he had been saving in his backpack and handed it to Eiskalt knowing that the powerful item would likely come in handy against whatever was lurking at the shrine. " Eiskalt I have little doubt the mastermind of this whole mess will be up ahead. This Life Orb will give you a boost in power against whatever we may face. Be ready for anything." The group then headed for the shrine hoping things would not be as bad as he was expecting.

For the time being Tyler was not after any of the Pokemon who lived in the Majectic Grove so he continued to follow the path towards the next area. The sooner he could reach the Twilight Glade the batter.

--Coming from Forest Shrine--

Ramsey became more and more relaxed the further away they got from the pressure felt around the shrine, and more and more chatty.
"What a beautiful place!" he said and looked with shining eyes at the tall trees which surrounded them. "It reminds me of when I was out counting the numbers of aipoms in a specific area. This group lived in a forest just like this with very tall thin trees which was very surprising! They had become really good at climbing them straight up and down, and didn't jump as much between the trees as you usually see them do," he explained and craned his neck as he looked up.
"So what are we looking for here to find the place where the gothita was last seen?" Astrid butted in to change the subject before he went of a tangent again.
"There should be a dead tree, which leads towards the area called Eerie Wood," he said with a chuckle, "then we need to find the most humid part of that which will be Putrid Swamp, through that to Twilight Glade. It's really deep in here, don't you think? Why would they go all the way in here to set it free? I don't get it," he added thoughtfully.
They soon found the tree and the two mount pokemon waded through tall grass as they passed it.

Coming from the Forest Shrine

As Venom left the Forest Shrine, a place that was supposed to be sacred, the ominous fog slowly faded away, raising even more questions in Venom's head. The Poison type trainer pondered this further as he made his way through the Majestic Grove, but still felt a rather ominous presence in this location. "Here too? Just how many of them are there?" The ninja questioned this sudden turn of events, still not sure what "them" were exactly. However, something told him that if he kept on going, he'd eventually find out. Most people might've been too afraid to investigate further, but not Venom. If the forest and its Pokemon were in any kind of danger, he was on the case.

"This does not look like the way we took before," Astrid mused to herself as instead of a swamp she found the area was lightening up and trees began to tower above her.
"Where did he go?" She added worried and wondered if she should just head towards the exit, if she could find it, she had never been in these parts of the forest before.
"There you are!" Ramsey shouted happily when he spotted Astrid and he rode over to her, "I was beginning to worry that man would have held you back or started something crazy!"[/i] he grinned, Astrid scowled.
"Why did you leave so suddenly? You could have told me you were waiting for me," Astrid said and Ramsey looked seriously at her. "I'm sorry, but I needed to get the gothita away from him, come on, let's get it back to Nurse Joy."
Astrid still wasn't pleased but followed him as he lead the way through the majestic trees.

Coming from the Twilight Glade

As Tyler entered the Majestic Grove he did not plan on sticking around at all. None of the Pokemon in the area were on his current list and he did not want to train in an area that would not result in any useful Pokemon encounters. " Come on everyone, we are not staying here. Maybe we will come back at some point if something useful appears but right now this place is not useful to use at all. We need to make our way to the Forest Shrine next." He said as the group made their way to the Forest Shrine.

Arriving from the Twilight Glade

Venom and his Pokemon had officially gone in a giant circle, as the ninja once again set foot into the Majestic Grove. However, unlike the last time he was here, Venom could sense the presence of evil this time around. So, with his eyes narrowed and his wits about him, Venom let Whirlipede back out of his Pokeball and grabbed a Potion from his bag. "Sorry about this, Whirlipede. Another evil spirit is here, but it's still not the boss. We're getting very close though. I'm sure of it." Venom informed the Curlipede Pokemon as he sprayed him with the Potion, healing most of his wounds from the recent battle with Shuppet. "It's okay, master. I can take it. One more battle won't kill me. At least I hope it won't." Whirlipede said to his trainer, and said trainer hoped for the same thing, as the poisonous pair waited for the next wandering spirit to show itself.

The Majestic Grove was awe-inspiring and breath taking. Large Silk Cotton Trees, brightly colored Elms, and expansive Sequoias decorated the area. The autumn month clung to the area, causing all of the leaves to shake and shiver in miraculous hues of rich oranges, bright yellows, and striking reds. Many of the leaves would shake in the stirring wind that billowed through the area and break off their branches to fluttered towards the ground below, painting the tall grasses and open ground in a sea of warm colors. It was muted only by the icy rains that poured down in thick sheets, coating the long, snarling vines that draped down from the thick branches of the treetops.

A strange sound like laughter played through the trees. Though the same usual tricks seemed to be lacking in this area – the skies didn’t suddenly change, the world didn’t turn into a pitch black, and strange visions didn’t appear to float in air. Instead, the chilling laughter bounced around and echoed from the trees themselves. It beckoned and called out to Venom in some strange way as though the laughter itself said, ‘Come follow me ninja.’ What was that smell that clung on the air? Like a wounded soul that was close to pushing itself over the edge into the other world, where spirits lived? The ghostly apparition just had to know!

When Venom would eventually follow the strange laughter, which bounced from one tree to the next in a strange and ever-winding path, it would seem as though it was leading him in circles. Always promising that he was almost there. Hadn’t Venom and his team already passed that same Elm tree with three large gashes across its trunk? They’d definitely bypassed that one Silk Tree with one of its broken branches leaning precariously on top of the other as though it might fall to the ground any day now! And they must have seen that same Sequioa with an owl’s nest built in its side nearly fifteen times now, right?! Then, when the ninja would have enough of its tricks and managed to get the apparition to show its face, a bright ball of burning gas would appear as a floating Gastly. “I want the souls of the tormented!” It declared with a twisted laughter that echoed all around the area.

As the shadows faded away and the Majestic Grove became majestic once more, Whirlipede finally awoke from his slumber and was very shocked to see that the battle was over. "Huh?! What happened?! Did I win?!" The Curlipede Pokemon looked all around frantically, but was forced to stop after just a few seconds, as his injuries from the battle he just won were still extremely fresh. Fortunately, his trainer had his back, recalling the Poison/Bug type to his Pokeball for the time being. "Yeah, you did. And you were amazing, Whirlipede. I'll tell you all about it later, but right now, time is still of the essence." Venom smiled as he spoke to his Pokemon through the red and white orb, then put it away, faced the path before him, and lost his smile in favor of a far more serious facial expression. Having a pretty good idea of where the evil spirit's leader was, the ninja steeled his nerves, renewed his resolve, then ran off towards what would hopefully be his final battle against the dark forces that haunted the Ilex Forest.

Coming from Forest Shrine...

Despite not being in the area of the Forest Shrine anymore, Aphrodite still felt a bit uneasy for some reason. "You know Titania...Something about this forest just does not feel right anymore. I wish I knew what it is, but I don't. I suppose we should just focus on find out way out of here" she spoke to her Kirlia. Although Aphrodite seem to be in a rush to make it out of the forest, Titania has other plans. Titania sensed that something or someone is in some sort of danger within this eerie forest and she wants to help them. She just has to figure out how to do that quick, fast, and in a hurry before it's too late!

Traveling from the Twilight Glade...

"Alright, it looks like we're back at the Majestic Grove. Let's have a look around here and see if we can find this mysterious item. I'm not too sure what it looks like, but it's still worth a shoot to look for it. Let me know if you find anything out of the ordinary," she instructed her Pokemon. Alvaro and Titania paired together explored the west side of the grove. Salem and Raina took the east side of the grove. Aurora and Cordie took the south side and Aurora and the Chikorita explored the north side of the grove.

After spending a decent amount of time searching for the mysterious item inside of the Majestic Grove, Aphrodite and her Pokemon had decided to regroup, "No luck here. I believe it is safe to assume that the item that we're looking for cannot be found here. Thanks for your help, anyway." Aphrodite stated in a gentle calm before returning all of her Pokemon expect for Titania back into their Poke Ball. "If we go back this way it should lead us back to Eerie Woods," she told her Kirlia before walking into the direction of their next location.

"We're getting close! I can feel it! We shouldn't have too much longer before we make it back to the shrine!" Aphrodite called out to her Pokemon, trying her best to keep them motivated. It seem like the group has been traveling through the dark and eerie forest for months now. Luckily for them, they were moving a little closer to the shrine to defeat the evil spirit.

The strange feeling didn’t leave. It felt as though someone, or something was watching them in the shadows that lurked along the forest floor. With each step Mishu took with her small Pancham in toe, she felt the strange and eerie presence breathing down her back. “This heat must be getting to me.” She tried to rationalize with herself, pushing a long strand of hair over her shoulders to spill down her back. Who else could be here with them? Even if she didn’t expect the forest to be completely empty and void of life, she would expect most of them to be noticeable for her enough that she wasn’t fighting with literal shadows to help ease her mind. “Hmm…maybe we should turn back and wait out the heat?”

The question was a valid one. Many had lost their lives or had gotten extremely sick underneath the harsh sun’s sharp rays. However, it seemed easier to ask than to do. Glancing back down the path she’d taken and wandering where it might take her to travel back in the direction she’d come, Mishu questioned if she was closer to Goldenrod than to Azalea by now. Kumaneko rushed through the forest and enjoyed the larger space between the trees that the Majestic Grove had to offer. She practiced her cutting, slicing the air as though it were butter and growling enthusiastically after every swing. “I am a mighty warrior! None shall stop me! All shall fear my mighty warrior battle cry!” Kumaneko puffed out her chest and declared boldly.

“I just…can’t shake the feeling that I’m being watched…” Mishu sighed with a heavy shrug and sat down to watch her Pokemon at play. Maybe she was being too worried? After she’d had a moment to rest, Mishu would walk over to the nearby flora and study them for any strange signs they may offer. Perhaps the mysteries of what caused Pancham to lash out in the streets of Azalea were buried in the heart of Ilex. Maybe not in the ways of old fairytales, but through scientific discoveries that could prove what might have tainted their original habitat and chased them out. “Hmm…these trees all look fine…” She mumbled under her breath, scrunching up her nose as she carefully lifted some leaves up closer to her face on the nearby branches to get a better look. What could it be, then?

Indeed someone was watching MIshu, but not for the reason she was thinking. A lone Silcoon tried to "ambush" the human from above, hoping to make the human turn and maybe fall. However, its intent wasn't of evil, but of pure intent, if only human could hear it. "Hey um... Miss! You have those sticky barb seeds on your shirt!" It cried, but its soft voice was droned out by other voices in the forest.

Falling down on the ground, its eyes met Mishu and the Pancham. Perhaps the Pancham can communicate. "Hey, you know those plants with sticky and spiky barbs? I think they're stuck on your human's shirt. It might be a bad idea to take them out of the forest with her!" It mumbled rapidly and shyly, wasn't sure what the bear would thought of its helpful interjection.
