[ Route 31 - Dark Cave ]
After a few long and hard days, Sharada had found herself aimlessly wandering around the area of Violet City. She was able to have first hand experience with a tough biker gang after traveling to the edge of Johto, stumbling across Joe's abandoned warehouse. She had to put up with traps, traps, bikers, thieves and more traps but luckily for her, even though they might've got off on the wrong foot, many of them welcomed her once she was introduced as a friend of Joe's.
She also challenged the Gym Leader of Violet City, the bird master of the Johto region and the first step for her to become a better trainer. Her luck excelled within the Gym walls aswell, sure enough it was a close call but she was able to walk away with a stronger team and a brand new badge. She had clipped it to her jacket, proudly displaying it for all to see. The way it glittered an array of pretty colours as the sunlight touched it was enough to make her smile, she was very pleased with how far she had ventured.
But as of now, she was at a lose of what to do. With the badge in hand she was able to start her mission of being an undercover spy of sorts and joining Team Rocket to regain a Pokemon stolen from someone close to her. In reality, she was having a spot of cold feet and felt that perhaps venturing in the local area to do a spot of training would calm her somewhat. Which is what had led her to this dark cave at the edge of Violet City.
"Mareep! Use Flash!"
Sharada hadnt quite planned for this trip but she had all the necessary things. The main thing was teaching her spare Mareep how to use the move Flash using the technical machine she had recieved from Sprout Tower. There was no way she was going to be getting rid of this Mareep with it being so useful now. The tip of it's tail glowed brightly, lighting up even the deep crevasses of the cave. With Mareep by her side, Sharada gave her a small nod, "There's no need for you to battle if you feel nervous. " the female trainer spoke calmly. She was here for the rarities which perhaps lurked deep within the cave and had plenty a poke to choose one to aide her.
OOC: Yeah, dont mute your PC too quickly.

Dark Cave. A place of impenetrable darkness and home to a plethora of cave dwelling Pokemon who enjoyed the safety the blackness offered. Many inexperienced trainers had ventured forth into the Dark Cave and had not been prepared in the slightest. They struggled forward, utterly blind in the pitch black and fell victim to not being able to see properly as they would in the light. There had been discussions by the local authorities to perhaps corner off the entrance so that more trainers would not become another death toll statistic upon losing themselves in the cave. The fact the cave was long running and treacherous did not help matters either, search teams had gone in on reports that somebody had been lost and more often than not returned empty handed. For those who did come prepared, such as Sharada, they would find the same danger threatening to engulf unprepared trainers did not matter in the slightest to them. As the light emanated from Sharada's trusty sheep Pokemon, the bright light acted as a means to see at least a few feet in front of her. The darkness the cave had been named after was certainly living up to its name. Her Pokemon was generating as much light as it possibly could and yet it seemed the very shadows themselves seemed to be coming alive and were constantly on the offensive in trying to extinguish the beacon. That was not all that seemed to be a live in the cave. There was the sound of rushing water and small droplets splattering against the rocky cave flooring. The odd Pokemon cry could be heard off in the distance as well as flickers of shadows that seemed to be encircling poor Sharada. Disdainful of the light, one Pokemon dared to blow its cover and venture forth. Having lived its life entirely within the cave, the blinding light was almost too painful for it to bare. It made its way forward and stood just on the outside of the light's reach. With a loud roar it caught Sharada's attention and let her knew that wasn't too happy with the disturbance. Although it had tried to remain cloaked by the shadows, the increased flash from Sharada's Pokemon betrayed the identity. It seemed to be a humanoid shaped being, almost akin to that of a little girl. It looked somewhat angrily at the Pokemon responsible for the blinding light and puffed its cheeks. On its own, it seemed entirely non-threatening but all of a sudden, its hair seemed to come alive and boasted a rather terrifying maw of its own. It clashed together its jaggedly sharp teeth and the tongue that was hidden amongst the second jaw seemed to be moving about excitedly. If Sharada didn't act, things would definitely get ugly. The mere sound of her own footsteps echoing throughout the cave was enough to start giving her the creeps. If Mareep wasn't by her side and helping to light the way she would be in utter shambles. Back where she lived in Hoenn there was a fairly deep cave which was situated across Dewford's beach. She had only ventured in there once or twice but as soon as one were to explore the lower levels, they would be engulfed in the same darkness she was experiencing right now.
At a young age, she was dared by her school 'friends' to go and have a look for the strong creatures which lurked in the caves shadow. Being completely weak and worthless she had found herself being forced down the cave steps where she was ambushed by a group of hard headed Arons. Luckily for her she wasn't in there too long, her fearful screams sending the other children dashing for safety, the odd parent finding their actions a little strange and going to investigate. Ever since she had held a slight fear for caves but now she had a strong team to back her up, she felt now was a good time to get over this oh so nagging fear.
A sharp cry cut Sharada off from her trip down memory line, holding an arm out towards Mareep to indicate her to stop, "...Wait a sec." she whispered calmly. The eerie, sorrowful like cries sent shivers down her spine, "Anyone there?" As her voice bounced off the walls, the crying Pokemon soon came to a halt. This was getting a little creepy. The only sound she could now hear was her own heavy breathing and the odd drop of water. Pausing on the spot, she indicated to Mareep to adjust her tail to different positions, perhaps she could be able to find something. As the circular amount of light began scanning the room, it wasn't long before Mareep noticed something lurking close by.
The little sheep's cries almost made Sharada jump out of her skin, "W-WHAT?!" she yelped in surprise, turning on the spot only to be faced with a rather small, almost human like creature. With it's powerful maw still hidden in the shadow's, the Pokemon didn't quite hit Sharada's memory banks straight away. Instead, she knelt to the ground, a fair distance away from the creature, "Hey there little one..." Despite her speaking in a rather gentle voice, the expression on the Pokemon's face suggested to her that it wasn't the least bit pleased with this huge amount of light flooding the cave. With an intimidating pounding of it's foot, it gracefully swung it's head around to reveal a humongous maw.
A high pitch scream followed by a sudden slamming sound of her landing on the floor in surprise disturbed other creatures in the cave. It seemed Shared was met with the terrifying sight of the Mawile's true form. "C-Crap!" Struggling to get her hands to her Pokeballs, she quickly grabbed the nearest one, tossing it forward to reveal her trusty Ekans. The purple snake hissed venomously at it's pray, awaiting Sharada's order. "Use Screech!" she ordered hurriedly, it obviously being just the first move that popped into mind.

The Mawile couldn't quite understand the revulsion to its appearance. Many others had ventured into this cave prior and had bumped into it and made no reaction like that of this new female trainer. The hair with a life of its own barked at her angrily, confused also as to why it was met with such fear. Unbeknownst to the Mawile was the fact that all the other times trainers and Pokemon alike had come across it, it had been in the pitch black, hiding its overall appearance. Now light had been shed on the gaping set of nashers on the back of its head, it provoked gave an unsettling description. The fear from the trainer also had influence on the Mawile who was now becoming increasingly confused by the look of shock. There was also the issue that this blinding aura in the distance was making it hard for the Mawile to see anything anything. Instead, it flipped its back to the trainer and let the blinded mouth on its back do all the talking. The mouth with a mind of its own detected the arrival of a new Pokemon not native to the cave. Its incredible set of teeth snarled round into a fearsome grin. It was going to crush this interloper with its massive mouth and then root out the problem of the blinding aura being cast everywhere. The darkness was a perfect place for it, at least there nobody would ridicule or be frightened of the Mawile's distinguished appearance. As Sharada commanded her trusty Ekans to screech at the target, the Ekans opened its own maw and let out an ear piecing screech of a shriek that was amplified to unprecedented levels due to the layout of the cave. Each piercing noise was echoed and reflected over the incredibly large cave structure. Mawile used its own hands to cover its ears and the creature's hair began whimpering in fear. Not only had it seen light for the first time but it had also experienced a sound unlike any other. As Ekans was unable to hold out the screech any longer, it relented and began breathing heavily. It was so out of breath from the attack that it panted on the spot and was entirely open for the Mawile to exact its revenge. Mawile turned its head just enough to see where it was going and let the wild mouth on its back do all the damage. As it stumbled backwards the set of teeth barked ferociously and scooped up Ekans into its jaw. With Ekans unable to muster enough energy to escape, it was helpless to avoid the attack. The feral like mouth began chomping away with many ferocious bites before using all of its strength to bite down without mercy and had the purple snake hiss out in perverse anger. Eventually Ekans managed to whip its tail into the Mawile's left eye and gave it just the opening it needed to escape. As it slithered back to Sharada it reared its fangs in warning. Two could play the biting game. Wild Battle

Clamping her hands down across her ears, Sharada winced at the high pitched cry which flooded out from between Ekans' jaw. The light created by Mareep was starting to flicker aswell, the fluffy sheep also being caught in the confusion of the attack and being to sway nervously. With Ekans now catching her breath, Sharada was able to bring herself back to her feet, supporting the rather shaken Mareep and readjusting the lighting. She was now able to take a good look at the Pokemon confronting her and it became instantly familiar. The front of the creature usually appeared rather innocent, the back of it's head often looking like long black hair when viewed from the front. However, when it spun around it seemed to possess a rather threatening maw, snapping at anything it can grab hold of.
These Pokemon were fairly common in Sharada's home town, her rather shocked and surprised exterior calming down instantly. There was no need for her to be so surprised, afterall, she was the trespasser in this cave and such blinding light was obviously something these creatures weren't all that used to. But for her own safety, the light had to keep glowing otherwise she wouldnt be able to find her way back out. Glancing to the two faced pokemon, she focused on it for a short moment. It's rather unique appearance would surely shock others in the same way it had done to her. Perhaps it would be interesting to capture the little fellow and show it the wonders of the world outside.
With the mission set in her mind, she watched as her loyal snake slinked back towards her. The giant maw was indeed powerful and had left a few scratches, perhaps it was time to give it a taste of it's own medicine to bring it down a little. "Alright Ekans, time to get serious! Attack that thing with your own Bite!"

The order to fight back was relished by the cunning snake Pokemon at Sharada's disposal. It began shifting towards the Mawile stealthily by side winding its movement in the hope to confuse its exact location. The great jaw of hair that Mawile possessed was completely oblivious to where the snake was coming from and it could be seen raising in the air as if trying to sense the position. Eventually it came to the realisation just how sly the snake was being but by the time Mawile actually turned around to see with its own two eyes where Ekans had disappeared off to, it was greeted with said snake lying low before it and readying its pounce on the dual identity creature. As Mawile quickly did its best to swish around its maw to protect it, the Ekans was too quick and lashed forward with similar ferocity akin to that of a whip and bite down onto the Pokemon's side. Mawile struggled intensely, the Ekans' jaw was unrelenting as it forced itself down like a hydraulic clamp. The hair of Mawile was frenzying about as it tried to knock off the assaulter but was just out of reach. Growling out in pain the Mawile eventually doubled over and gave it just enough freedom to knock off Ekans. The snake went flying back to Sharada's feet and Mawile was less than happy about being bitten so horrifically. It began running backwards, the huge gaping mouth full of razor teeth running against the rocky floor as it gathered up grit and anything else that dare stand in its way. In a similar fashion, Ekans was scooped up again and unlike before, it was bit down on the spot without any time being wasted and made Ekans hiss once more. The tail of the snake was being whipped around to try and make the Mawile set it free but instead it bit onto the Mawile's second mouth in order to let it go. The small bite didn't so much but it was enough to force it to relinquish its grip. Wild Battle

The sight of her loyal Ekans lashing it's destructive jaws around the body of Mawile gave Sharada a bit of relief, oddly. She had captured the sly menace from an abandoned warehouse after it had released a number of traps on her. The snake was pretty strong making Sharada have her doubts about being able to control such a creature. Her relationship with her Smeargle wasn't the best due to it's overwhelming power. But since leaving the partly destroyed building the Ekans, though sly, obeyed Sharada's every command without a second thought. Perhaps the purple snake was pleased that the female trainer was able to keep her promise about taking her to a much beautiful place rather than making it stay in the decrepit building.
With Ekans slinking her way back to the front of Sharada, a rather scary sight came charging towards the three of them. The little shorts which surrounded it's feet began to flap around as it began running furiously backwards towards the trio. Sharada and Mareep jumped in horror, leaving Ekans no choice but to remain strong and stand it's ground. As the maw repeated its terrifying bites on her snake, the female trainer tried her best to regain her courage. With a gulp she stood forwards, waiting for the right moment to order her attack. As the snake was relinquished from the grip on the double headed creature, Sharada pointed her finger dramatically, "Bite again, Ekans! Try aiming for it's body again, it seems more fragile than it's huge maw!"

Sharada's keen observation and advice imparted to her Pokemon was more than welcomed. The Ekans was as cunning and as sly as they came and it would waste no opportunity to turn the tables in its favour nor pass on any underhand method to gain the upper hand. The epitome of ruthlessness. Realising that the body was indeed a lot more fleshy to bite into than that absolute abomination of nature that was alive on its back, the Ekans darted forward again. This time it didn't bother with such a stealthy approach and was shuffling dead ahead with blinded anger. The Mawile's massive safety mechanism from predators picked up on the sound coming towards it. With a devilish grin, it prepared itself ready for the strike. Ekans was just within distance to bite at the Mawile's side but surprisingly the Mawile's hair came to life and reached out with a surprising grasp that had the Ekans double backwards, leaving its tail at the mercy of Mawile's jaws. It scooped up the would be attacker and bit down fiercely on the poor snake's tail. The fearless charge had resulted in a failure and the Ekans was now writhing from having its precious tail bitten into. As it coiled about, it tried with every muscle in its body to try and twist its way around so that it could perhaps use this as opportunity to strike at Mawile now it was a sitting duck. Ekans seemed to muster every last bit of defiance within it and whipped forward, opening its mouth in anticipation of administering a bite on the dangerous foe. Mawile realised its mistake and tried its best to release Ekans so it would fall to the ground but it was too late. It had stretched itself just enough that the poisonous snake lunged at the Mawile's small neck. It clamped down and showed no mercy in retaliation to the Mawile's own disregard of it. Mawile cried out in pain and it was beginning to sound very excruciating and pitiful. Eventually the gaping maw managed to shrug off the devious snake and gave them both breathing room. The huge mouth on the back of Mawile was now whimpering and Ekans was tending to the wounds on its tail. Wild Battle

With the equally sly Mawile clamping down on Ekans' tail harshly and restricting her movement, Sharada began biting her lip nervously. She knew the purple snake would worm it's way out of this mess somehow, afterall, even though she was one of the newest to her team Sharada knew of it's potential. After numerous lashings about, the Ekans slowly began calming down on it's movements. It's tail being crimpled in pain due to the tight clamp of the Mawile's jaws. Interestingly, the Ekans picked up on the Mawile's mistake before Sharada could even voice out her support.
Feeling it's maw loosen, Ekans span viciously on the spot, crunching it's jaw down on the Mawile's neck. Using it's stumpy hands, it grappled weakly onto the Ekans, trying it's best to rid of it and toss it to one side. Even the maw on the back of it's head was wiggling around trying to find it but it come to now avail. Knowing her chance when she saw it, Sharada prepared a Pokeball from her bag, "Ekans! Fall back!" With her order given, the Ekans angrily let go, slinking backwards a few paces. The Mawile was definitely on it's last legs judging from it's heavy breathing. With a toss of her hand, Sharada sent forth a Pokeball. There was only one way to find out if it was weak enough.

With experience now behind her from having caught her fair share of Pokemon, Sharada's throw of the Pokeball had it hurtling through the air and landing directly on the mouth like appendage on Mawile's behind. Mawile was somewhat frightened by this strange light now enveloping its entire being. This light wasn't the same as the blinding aura that had disturbed it, this was quite the contrary. Instead it felt comforting... Inviting almost. As it was sent inside the contraption, it fell to the floor and the anxiety kicked in as to whether it would accept Sharada as her trainer or not. Once it rolled... Then a second time... And on the third roll of the ball...
*CLICK*Congratulations! The Wild Mawile was captured! Please fill out the following information about your new Pokémon: MawileName: [choose] Gender: [Male/Female] Level: 12 Moves: Astonish, Fake Tears, Bite Ability: [choose] - [ Hyper Cutter | Intimidate | Sheer Force ] Nature/Personality: [choose] Happiness: 0 Mawile Name: [choose] Gender: [Male/Female] Level: 12 Moves: Astonish, Fake Tears, Bite Ability: [choose] - [ Hyper Cutter | Intimidate | Sheer Force ] Nature/Personality: [choose] Happiness: 0 Victory!
Your Ekans fought courageously and has levelled up! It went up by 1 level and is now Level 22! It also earned +1 Happiness! The Mawile had been successfully captured and the anger of Ekans had calmed down considerably. Instead it sat there, coiled up around its long tail and flickered its tongue out between its pursed lips. Oddly enough, it wasn't its usual self and seemed to be sitting there. Something was definitely up with the poor Pokemon. Then all of a sudden a blinding light even greater than that of the flash made by Sharada's Mareep lit up the entire cave. The cover of darkness was utterly banished as Ekans seemed to be changing. It was hard to make out with the wondrous rays of light bursting from her body. Sharada could intervene but if she didn't, Ekans would surely change form!! OOC: You really, REALLY lucked out on this one. Mawile has a capture rate of 45 out of 255. Want to know what that is akin to? How about the chances of getting a Scyther in the Safari Zone? From the capture generator I got this result. That's pretty low chances. Random generator then turned up with this. So thank whatever deity you like for that stroke of luck. ;D

OOC: I'll update the Mawile and Pokeball myself. Pretty insane with that though, I was lucky enough to even find one lol. Thanks for all these replies too, I'll be giving you a few points for the next few days.
Mawile Name: Harionna Gender: Female Level: 12 Moves: Astonish, Fake Tears, Bite Ability: Intimidate Nature/Personality: Luring in both gullible trainers and pokemon with her fake tears, who ever dares approach Harionna becomes her victim. When looking at her front on, she appears to be a sweet and delicate little Pokemon, her large red eyes giving off a hint of childish innocence. She also appears to have a long black ponytail which is infact a giant maw which she resumes total control over. After luring something in with her tears, she gives them but a single test. A smile. If they smile back at her, she unleashes her deadly maw on them, clinging on until death. Happiness: 0
Sharada was starting to get good at this whole catching business. She had been sending most of her team members in storage back home temporarily until she had a need for them to call back over to Johto. Her room was probably a completely mess with what she had been capturing. With Mawile being added to the list, all what was apparent on her face was a large smile. Who needed human friends who betrayed or bullied you when you could have perfectly loyal pokemon who gives just as good company a human would. Either way, this new team member would hopefully prove to be a great assest.
Placing her ball in her bag, she turned to the winner of the battle, "You did great! Eh...kans?" The purple snake was indeed acting a little bit strange. By now, she would be slivering and boasting about her success. Instead, it was almost like she was staring into another world. Sharada was about to approach until the snake began giving off a strange light. Leaving Ekans a bit of space, Sharada stared in wonder. The same thing had happened to Charmander in the past... Was Ekans evolving?!

The beautiful array of lights that lit up the cave were nothing short of awe inspiring. As they danced around, Ekans could barely be seen at the source of all the light. Small glimpses could just be made out but it seemed to be growing back and forth between two different sizes. The snake's head was also undergoing a radical transformation. It seemed that under Sharada's impressive training regime and the bond she had made with the Ekans, it had reached its evolutionary stage! The light beamed forth even brighter, so much so that anyone taking in the spectacle would surely have to cover their eyes lest they risk the possibility of blinding themselves. After one incredibly flash, the light died instantly and the creeping darkness returned, covering everything within the vicinity with the safety of the blackened dark. Only Mareep's light being generated held it at bay within their general vicinity. As all their eyes readjusted it became clear that Ekans had indeed changed its form. It was now that of an Arbok! Congratulations! You and your Ekans have overcome many hardships and forged an unbeatable bond. Your Ekans has now evolved into Arbok! With it's impressive new fangs, Arbok would like to learn the move Crunch. Delete a move so that Arbok may learn Crunch? With Ekans evolved into its new form, the Arbok looked to Sharada adoringly and seemed to be overjoyed with itself. For now Sharada and her Pokemon could partake in a joyous moment together. However, when the celebration ended there was still more of the cave to explore. Off in the distance there were more distant murmurings that echoed from deeper within. Only time would tell what she would be greeted with.

OOC: Updated all. Replaced Bite with Crunch. YAY<3 I'm so happy to get Arbok! 1/6 for her Team Rocket team complete lol.
IC:
It felt like tears of joy were starting to swell in Sharada's eyes as the light died down to reveal the new and improved snake. Her long fangs were double the size of when she was once an Ekans but then again, she was acting a little differently altogether. As an Ekans she was usually quiet and kept to herself but now she was slivering over to Sharada and coming across as so much more gentle. Perhaps she was truly pleased that she had the chance to grow stronger. "Look at you!" Sharada finally giggled, using her hands to rub on Arbok's snout affectionately, the snake reacting happily to this and closing her eyes with glee, her thin tongue slipping in and out of her jaw happily.
The intimidating new appearance of Arbok sent a rush of nerves to her Mareep, however, who was now cowering behind Sharada's legs. The Arbok raised it's eyebrows in confusion, calling out gently as if to tell the little sheep it was ok. "Dont worry~" Sharada laughed, petting her new snake once more, "Tell ya what, I'll let you have a nice rest for now. Taking all those bites from that Mawile and evolving must've took a lot outta ya." With an understanding nod, the Arbok let out a sharp cry as her way of saying goodbye before being returned to her Pokeball.
Her surroundings feeling a little safer, the Mareep re-emerged from behind Sharada, still quivering slightly. With a snort of disbelief, she gandered on ahead, thinking on where to go next. Pointing her finger straight ahead to indicate to the sheep on where to shed her light, Sharada began walking on ahead, "Let's go in a little deeper, hm?" Recieving a nervous nod, the duo continued their exploration of the cave, another set of strange cries echoing among the rocky walls. Frowning slightly, she eventually hit a dead end, yet the sound of murmuring continued and it was much closer. Mareep shone her light from left to right, revealing two paths. It was creepy choices like this that gave Sharada the shivers. She could either end up hitting a dead end and having to trawl all the way back or she could go the right way and bump into something or perhaps find an exit.
With a shrug of her shoulders, she decided to take the left path, "Let's try this way first, hm?"

Despite a variety of options before her, she wouldn't have to pay too much time deliberating over her next choice of action. There was a rumble from the dead end she had just approached but it fell silent as soon as it had started. The cave was still eerily quiet as it had always been and the darkness was arguably the thickest it had been. Had the adventurous trainer had a knife on her she would have been likely able to cut right through it. Before another word could be ushered there seemed to be another rumbling from the centre of the cave's dead end. This time it refused to die down and ruminated louder and louder. There was an alien cry that rattled through the air and two circular yellow eyes seemed to awaken as they glowed from within the darkness. A large crumble of rocks pattered all over the floor and then mysterious set of eyes hovered forward. Sharada had just stumbled across an ancient artefact... No. An ancient Pokemon. It was highly inquisitive but there was something slightly uncertain about it. How Sharada would deal with the newly appeared Pokemon was entirely up to her. Encounter

With the direction being decided in her mind, Sharada began her first few steps to the left when a creepy rumble from where she was just standing caught her attention. Raising her eyebrow slightly, she tun to look over her shoulder, only to hear the rumbling suddenly come to a halt. The Mareep by her legs began moving her head about frantically, she too hearing the strange noise, "...You heard that?" She waited a moment longer but with no repeated noise she moved a foot forward, when it suddenly happened again! Spinning on the spot, she began to explore the area behind her. If anything was following her, she wish it'd just hurry up and show itself
Almost as if reading her mind, a high pitched cry from Mareep made Sharada move her head out from behind a rock she had been examining. A shocked expression spread across her face at the sight of two floating orbs, the pupils in the center observing Mareep before moving back to the female trainer. It seemed to do this several times before Sharada plucked the courage to speak. "Move your tail forward." she whispered to Mareep, the fluffy yellow sheep nervously nodding before leaning forward. Thanks to her lit up tail, the strange ancient plate like Pokemon became clear. It was something Sharada had never seen before.
Reaching for her belt without taking her eyes from the strange creature, she selected a random Pokemon for battle. Whatever this thing was, perhaps she could pass it on to someone else in a trade or maybe even some money. The type of plan never really crossed her mind often, but in this case the Pokemon looked so ancient it was something she couldn't pass up on.
