It had not been the most happiest of days for Joey and his team. He had spent his day lulling about the warehouse he and his gang used as their base of operations. Deciding a bit of training was in order for some of his Pokemon, he was getting increasingly worried about the state of his Elekid. The young Electric type had always been a little distant with its lonely personality but today there seemed to be everything amiss with it. The once blinding sparks of electricity were now dull and lifeless and Elekid just seemed distracted. Eventually to the shock of Joey and his group, the poorly Elekid had fainted. Their Pokemon Healing Machine not working, Joey was at his wits end in trying to remedy the problem. The rest of his gang were clueless as to the problem until Erik suggested using a Pokemon with an exceptional Charge ability to zap Elekid back to full health. At that point, Joey knew there was only one person who he could turn to. Sharada.
He had since scrambled to his PC and was trying to get in contact with her in order to try and organise the necessary help. Pounding his fist against the wall and almost in tears, the gruff biker was showing an entirely contrary image to the one he had been maintaining. "For the love of all that is holy... Please pick the hell up. C'moooon..." He kept mumbling as the tone kept ringing on the other end of the phone. "I know I promised I wouldn't get in contact but this is an emergency... C'mooooon!" He punched the wall with all his might and left quite the dent. At that point, he heard it pick up. "SHARADA?! I really need your help. Remember when you last visited and bumped into that Voltorb? The one we thought was a reject because it couldn't explode properly but instead was able to charge like it was going out of fashion?! Pllleeeaaaase tell my you still have it. I can give you something in return but it's an EMERGENCY!"

Since gaining the Gym Badge from Falkner, Sharada had been at a loss of what to do. She had been lingering about the streets late at night hoping to catch a glimpse of this so called Rocket which recruited people with the first badge. Only, every time she had been out, there wasn't a single person who screamed 'sneaky' or 'rocket' to her. Instead, she decided to back track a little, visiting New Bark first and was now resting peacefully in Cherrygrove Pokemon Center.
Having just had a bite to eat with her team, she let out a tremendous yawn, resting her head on the table in front of her and slowly closing her eyes, "Just a few moments." She didn't exactly get the chance to fall asleep however, as a ringing sound began echoing out of her bag. Pretending to ignore it, Lopunny began to nudge her back roughly, not giving up until Sharada finally stirred, "Alright alright! I'm coming, jeez..."
A look of horror etched over her face after seeing the name flashing in front of her, causing the ringing to continue a little longer. "Crap... Which Joe is this? Urgh, either one is really unwanted right now." Just before the last ring or two, Sharada slowly pushed her finger against the button, taking in a deep breath, "Yeeeeeees?--"
The familiar voice of the thieving Joe she knew the most rang through her mind, making her frown in an instant. Or atleast, she would've frowned if he didn't sound in such a panic. The few words she had picked up made her stand to her feet, glancing over to the PC she hurried towards it, her Pokemon blinking at her in confusion. "Voltorb? Ye-Yeah, I still have it."
Signing into the PC, she was forced to pull the phone away from her ear for a moment as Joe continued to shout hurriedly down the phone. Finding him pretty quickly, she used the mouse to select Voltorb's Pokeball from storage and send it to his warehouse directly. As the Pokeball flickered on the screen to indicate it was being sent, she tried to reassure him down the phone, "I dunno what's going on but just take a deep breath and calm yourself, alright?... You can explain it to me one day but if you're in a rush, feel free to hang up. "
Noticing an incoming Pokeball, a small smile spread across her face, " Good luck Joey, phone me a little later if you need anything." Not wanting to keep him from doing whatever he was up to, she immediately hung up after a new Pokemon appeared in her box. She laughed, almost in disbelief at what he had given her, "Even in your time of need, you always seem to give me things I like... Idiot."

Relief at that Sharada was around and available to answer his call in Joey's hour of need, he was nimble as he was a thief in logging into his PC in order to connect with the Online Trading System. Before he had a chance to explain anything to her she had already hung up. Pulling away his mobile away from his ear and looking at it confusedly he focused back in on the trade. " What a beauty, i'm glad I know who I can rely on... Right... C'mooon where are ya you blubber guts... THERE!" He selected the Pokemon he had received in exchange for Maki the Furret he had looked after and sent it into the trading system. Before long, the chute his PC was connected to shook as it popped out a Pokeball. As it lay there in the tray, Joey hastily grabbed it and with a maddened dash, made it to the warehouse interior in order to try and remedy what was ailing his Pokemon. " Shit, shit, shit, shit! Hold on buddy..." He sent forth the Voltorb and breathed a sigh of relief at seeing that it was the one he was after. There was also a unison of commotion from the others in the gang as they crowded around to see the miraculous recovery. The Voltorb however was confused itself as it looked around. It strangely remembered this place and it felt like it was back home. Looking up, sure enough, it saw the rough biker looking at it pleadingly. " Voltorb... Good to see you back home again... Listen, I know I just received you in a trade but I really need your help. Please jolt my friend with enough electricity to give him back his spark." Voltorb's angry eyes shifted to the sickly looking Elekid and for perhaps the first time ever the ball of rage felt something other than overwhelming anger. Instead it felt an odd sensation of compassion looking at the sickly Elekid. It looked back to Joey and without a word, silently knew what it had to do. The imitator became aglow with its amazing Charge ability and as it reached its threshold, loosed the voltage onto Elekid. As it was zapped, Elekid reopened its eyes and seemed to be feeding off the electrical energy. IT HAD WORKED! Joey felt a tear slide down from the corner of his eye down his cheek but he couldn't get over how good it was to see his friend alive and healthy once more. The rest of the gang were all cheering and sobbing happily at the aid Voltorb had given them. " I owe you so damned much." Joey scooped up the ball and with a hearty man hug, held his arms around it. After a moment he paused and went over to scoop up Elekid too. Voltorb looked to the Elekid and noticed how grateful it seemed. The start of a new friendship was upon them it seemed. As the commotion died down and Joey retreated back to his private quarters, he looked at the phone sitting on his desk. Picking it up now and again and fidgeting with it nervously he wasn't too sure he should phone back. Instead, he went to his computer and typed out an email of gratitude to Sharada. As he finished, he smiled, a small tear in his eye and at how grateful he was to have such generous friends. Dear Sharada,
As you should know by now I ain't into all this formal crap. I spent a good few minutes just staring idly at this bloody cursor that blinked at me tauntingly and letting me know I hadn't typed jack all. Anyways, don't mind me. I was going to phone but I guess i'm still a little shaken by it all. I was training Elekid earlier and he just wasn't himself... Eventually he collapsed and seemed to be in need of a massive charge of electricity. Erik suggested the idea but unfortunately none of our Pokemon could do the job... Not to mention all the Voltorb we tried rounding up kept exploding on us.
What i'm trying to say is this. I am really grateful for the help you offered me in my hour of need. Elekid was rapidly detoriating and thanks to you I was able to recharge his batteries so to speak. That Voltorb too seems really happy to be back home and in thanks to that ball o' rage i'm gonna train him up some. Hell, fella seems to have mellowed out some.
Oh and... Hope you enjoy the gift I sent you. When I came across it, the Pokemon reminded me of you. ;)
All the best, ~ Joey. Pokemon to be traded: WailmerName: Wayne Gender: Male Level: 15 Attacks: Growl, Water Gun, Rollout, Whirlpool Ability: Water Veil Nature/Personality: Relaxed OT: Izzy OOC: I can update us both, now.
