Joe grinned happily. He loved it when a plan came together and it seemed the same could also be said for this wild battle. "Just where I want them..." Joe looked to Elekid and proceeded with his next attack. "Okay Elekid, we'll continue by Quick Attacking the second Spinara--" Joe didn't even have time to finish. His Elekid pre-empted his command again and launched at a ferocious speed against the still healthy Spinarak. It seemed to catch it off guard as it was still panicking from it's partner Spinarak being so badly beaten up.

Sharada nodded to Joe as he focused on the stronger Spinarak, " Swablu! Finish the other one off for me!" she giggled happily, watching as a single swoop had now knocked out that Spinarak. Sharada had also began to feel a bit more relaxed, not that there was only one threat. Joe and his Elekid were pretty strong together anyway, it made her feel almost safe. She took a step towards Joe and watched as the Elekid jumped up at the Spinarak. It smashed down a Critical hit on the spider and it was even too shocked to attack back! Battle

Joe watched as a critical blow was dealt to the enemy Spinarak. "We've got this one covered. If we combine our attacks we will have this sorted out in no time." Said Joe in an encouraging manner to Sharada. "Let's just keep it up, shall we?" He focused his mind back on the battlefield and decided the best course of action. "Okay, Elekid, you're going to have to keep attacking it with Quick Attack. As long as we can keep an edge over him by being faster have nothing to fear." Elekid let out a curt reply and zoomed towards the Spinarak and struck it with his fist.

Sharada turned to look at Joe, a soft smile across her face. Battling with Joe was pretty cool, he was really treating everyone so nicely, it was a shame that this didn't cover the fact that he was still a thief. She turned her head and slowly nodded to Swablu, " You heard the guy, Swablu! Swoop in right after Elekid has attacked!" As the pair collided their attacks at the Spinarak, it seemed to get hit pretty bad. With a sudden turn, it shot a String Shot towards the Swablu, slowing it down more. Sharada stepped forward and clentched her fist, " Break out of it, Swablu!" Battle

Joe's eye twitched as the Spinarak managed to String Shot Sharada's Swablu. "Hey, don't worry about it! We'll pick up the slack for you! Quick Attack!" Joe ordered adamantly as Elekid complied with another amazing dash of speed before hitting the Spinarak perfectly. "Elekid's doing pretty good. He seems better now he has a trainer that understands him." Murmured Joe as he observed Elekid's battle prowess. "Hey Sharada, make sure the Spinarak doesn't poison you with it's Poison Sting!"

Before Sharada could even reply back to Joe, the battle was already over. So no poison sting could've affected her Swablu anyway. By looks of it, the Elekid had knocked harshly into the little bug type Pokemon and Swablu was still fast enough to deal the finishing blow. Battle

Swablu is now at Level 7! Sharada began to jump up and down excitedly and rushed over towards Swablu, " AAHH! You did so well! Im so proud!" she giggled, holding the Swablu softly and cuddling it. She then turned her head and smiled to the Elekid, " Heehee. You did really well aswell... Huh?" as she spoke, she held her hand out towards the Elekid to stroke it... But it seemed to dart back as if he were slightly fearful. With a blink of her eyes, she slowly stood back to her feet. |

Joe watched as Elekid seemed a little fearful of her. "Hey pal, don't worry, she's a good person." He knelt down beside Elekid and patted him on his head. "Go on, she won't hurt you." Elekid squinted his eyes a little at Sharada but stepped forward for her to pat him. Joe stood up and looked at Elekid. "Poor guy, that mean old man must've beat him something fierce." He tightened the bandanna on his head and then looked to Sharada. "Are you okay? I must admit, looking back in retrospect... I heard a scream. Was that you?" He looked at her with great anxiety in his eyes. Elekid finished being praised by Sharada and returned by Joe's feet. "Okay big man, i'm returning you to your Pokeball for some much earned rest ok?" He withdrew Elekid and placed him proudly on his belt.

As Joe spoke to his Elekid, Swablu hopped onto Sharada's shoulder and also looked slightly confused. Sharada was soon able to smile however as he moved back towards her, "It's okay, little Elekid." she spoke softly, patting its head.
Her attention soon turned to her bag and she tried to ignore what Joe had just asked her. She didn't want to tell him what had happened, but then again, why did she even stop him in the first place? She soon pulled out a Pokeball and tapped her Swablu, "Alright. You deserve a good rest too."
With a flick of her hair, Sharada's eyes lingered on Joe and then looked over his shoulder, back into the direction of Cherrygrove, "Well... enough happened for me to be able to say that... Ooh." She seemed to hesitate and rub the back of her head. With a final look at Joe, she turned from him and pouted her lips angrily at what she was about to say, "...You were right."

Joe raised an eyebrow as Sharada admitted to the truth. He took in her words and remained silent for a few moments. "I may be a thief, but i'm no liar. If there is anything in this world I hold close to my heart than anything; it's Pokemon." He looked down to his belt and ran his fingers delicately over his Pokeballs. "Pokemon mean a lot to me and I cannot sit idly letting them suffer at the hands of men like him." He took his eyes off Sharada and looked to the sky. "Still, the fact you know the truth is something." He paused and his eyes slowly tore themselves from staring off into the distance back to Sharada. "It's weird I know but despite me being a thief... I have a weird set of morals. At the end of the day though, i'm doing no harm to Pokemon which is all I care about." He placed his hand on the top of his head and slowly ran it through to the back of his head. "I live by my own rules. No one else's." He remained still, silent, for a few moments until he cleared his throat and looked at Sharada. "What are you doing now anyway? Travelling about still I take it?" Joe paused and a little smile crept over his face. "Me? I think i'm going to travel Johto... See what it can offer to me."

Sharada's eyes suddenly widened as Joe mentioned the man, which suddenly reminded her of what she wanted to tell him. She began to bounce around awkwardly, waving her arms slightly in the air, "Ooh! Ooh! Speaking about that man..." Her voice trailed off and she thought about how to word what she wanted to say, "I waited around and the guy came outside and..." She began to rub her cheek softly before forcing a smile, "...Well, cutting a long story short. The police took him away!" She clapped her hands together triumphantly and stuck her tongue out at him, "So the real baddie got what he deserved, right?"
Her smile soon faded as Joe asked what she was going to do next. Of course, it was obvious that she was going to travel to the next town, but by sounds of it, so was Joe. She tilted her head to the side and looked to him, "I suppose I'll be moving towards the first Gym leader. I want to catch loads of Pokemon, of course..." Her eyes soon glared at Joe, "So dont you bother trying to steal from me again or else..." she spoke in a slightly jokey tone as she soon made another smile. She offered her hand out towards and nodded to him, "You sure put me through a lot today, little thief... But I guess meeting you a few more times wouldn't hurt."

Joe grinned as she reported to him what happened to the man. "So he got busted huh? Good, good. Seems like my little parting gift for him must've peeved him off a little bit too." He reflected on what Sharada just said. "Least I won't have HIM bothering me no more." He smiled let out an abrupt laugh. "Just think, could have been me that had been taken away if you reported me instead." As she finished telling him of her future plans he patted the side of her arm gently. "Hey sounds like a plan! Me? I'm just gonna be wandering around aimlessly. It's good to have some ambitions to achieve in life." As she jabbed him about stealing her Pokemon he laughed uncomfortably and raised his hand. "Best give you these back then." He handed her some Pokeballs which suspiciously looked a lot like her own. "Just kiddin'! I wasn't stealing them, you're just fun to pickpocket."
Joe gave her a thumbs up as she said about meeting again. "Sure we will, if we're both traversing the land of Johto in search of our passions then no doubt we'll cross paths again. Hopefully you won't walk into me like you did back in Cherrygrove." He laughed to himself and noticed she extended her hand to him. Instead of shaking it, he twisted it sideways and bowed before her as he placed a kiss on her hand. He stood up and shot her a wink as he turned his back to her and slowly wandered off ahead to Violet City. "Don't be a stranger!" He said as raised a hand to wave to her as he walked onwards.

Sharada began to think about where the man could be right now and started to laugh along with Joe, "Heehee! Im sure he is under close watch by the police right now. There is no way he'll be leaving Cherrygrove at any time soon." Her laughing soon came to a halt, she turned her head from him and shrugged her shoulders, "Well hey, I needed to give you a chance... right?"
She soon wished she hadn't spoken those words as she noticed her pokeballs in his hands. She glared and charged towards him, "YOU LITTLE!..." she squealed, snapping them back, "Damn it! After all I did for you... Stop toying with me!" Her face soon went from angry to a flush of red as she felt his lips touch her hand. Her knees wobbled weakly before she sharply shook her head to snap out of it, "Joey..." As soon as he turned his back, Sharada pushed her hands against his back and began to run forward, pushing him along, "Thats right! Get outta here before I change my mind!..." she growled, with a final push she stopped in her tracks and watched as he walked on ahead. Once he was far enough, Sharada simply smiled and nodded, "Seeya." she whispered under her breath.
