Hearing Sharada reassure him, Joey flashed her a genuine warm smile as he wanted to believe her words. "Y'sure? I'm just some motorhead biker who's out of his league I tend to feel. Fightin' a fight is about all I know but it just seems you get some trainers who live and breath becomin' champion. Guess it's all gonna come out when the time comes." His gentle smile becoming warped to his cocky grin, he let out a sniggering laugh as he wanted to hold her to promising him something. "Well, when I become champ you best come with me livin' up the party celebrations. It's not like I got it all planned or owt but y'know these guys in the gang are gonna party hard." Going back to the subject of his mother, Joey let out a dismissive puff of air to flicker his fringe popping out of his bandanna and laughed. "Y'know, she's pretty wild with all the safari business she does. Don't get me wrong, my mum's a real lady but she has her moments too. No wonder I was such a tearaway as a kid, hahahahaha!" His laughing settling as she flirted with him over him not being too bad, he merely gave her a wink and finished their other conversation.
The subject of two potential main antagonists was not yet settled. "If it gets too much just pull out. Ain't worth riskin' your life over. Or just get your head down. No matter what, they're on a collision course. Knowin' what I do about my old man, I know he's a power hungry *****. This Tobias, while not as crazy, definitely has that same starving hunger to be top dog. Just means he's gonna do it in a more cut throat business manner. They're like polar opposites but whoever wins, we lose." Cracking his neck from side to side, Joey had weighed the thought heavily on his mind but he supposed it wouldn't hurt briefing it with Sharada. "The times i've wanted to go ridin' in their on my wheels and cause absolute chaos. Considerin' how many giants I got in my group means I could simply thrash 'em on that alone. But I know it ain't so easy goin' guns blazin' into the lion's den." Considering they had just been talking about raising the bounty on his head, he wondered if Team Rocket had their own separate tally. "Hahah, maybe we could rake in a cool million from Team Rocket. No doubt there's a bounty on my head with those schmucks as well." Shrugging it off, for now he would focus on his agenda. "Meh, i'll stomp Team Rocket as I go but first thing's first. Gettin' on the road to bein' a champ. Hell, being in such a high position would mean I could rally people against them. Be a good role model for those impressionable folk." The more reason he tried finding still didn't elude the fact he just really wanted to go home.
Dependable he would be able to look after the Sneasel, Joey was still curious as to what abruptly interrupted Sharada's attention. Not really getting a drop on the sudden transmission, he sported an inquisitive expression to his visage. Sadly, a chance interruption by his no good father had meant their catching up session would be bought to a screeching halt. Hearing her blurt out she had to return, Joey folded his arms and expressed a rather reluctant look. "You what? How come?" Hearing her mention it was due to some sort of mission, he appeared somewhat unbelieving of this. "Hmmm... Well, if that's the case. Don't want yer cover blown, huh?" Despite his reservations, he would believe in her. Knowing that there would be many dangers and demands needed of her when she enlisted with the group as a double agent, it was something Joey would have to grin and bear. Taking the Pokeball from Shantae and gripping it in his hand, he looked down to her with a soft grin. "Take it easy, alright? I'm just a Poketch message away. We'll catch up sometime. I hear there's a festival comin' to town at some point. Keep an eye out for me. I'll no doubt try and pull out the stops and land myself in some hot and bother." Giving her a cheeky wink, it was clear the rogue had some fun in mind. What really shook Joe though was Sharada planting a nice big smooch on his lips. A little phased, he didn't have much time to respond and by the time he could react was watching her disappear out of the corridor and on her way to an exit. Joey remaining quiet until he was sure she went, clenched the Pokeball in his hand, he turned it into a fist and punched at the wall. "G'dammit." He muttered. Lost in his thoughts, Joey failed to hear the conversation between Shantae and Calistra. "Mummy, what happened?" "Shh... Do not worry, little one. The simpleton merely misses her."
