After heavily striking Lupin in the face with an impressive burst of speed, the Poliwag had hoped to make a safe landing but was instead welcomed with a swift kick from the Gallade. Landing on it's back, the Poliwag wriggled it's feet around in the air manically as it tried to roll back onto it's side. But something was wrong, it appeared to somehow have it tail caught in between some of the loose planks of the ship floor! Eyes twitching, the small tadpole began to struggle harder, trying to free itself before the human and his Pokemon could get the one up over it. However, as Lupin took a moment to recover from the shock of being so brutally attacked, Joe had stepped in with his own means of ending the battle. Not being able to see due to the position it was laying in, the sudden silence, or more rather the fact that nothing had attacked it, make the Poliwag more than a little bit apprehensive.
With another harsh wiggle, it finally managed to free it's tail! Hurriedly rolling up onto it's behind, it looked a lot more content and even a little bit happy with itself. But it wouldn't be happy for much longer. Throwing with a powerful arm, Joe sent a lone Pokeball forward and with a smack right in the centre of the Poliwag's face, it momentarily felt what poor Lupin had probably endured, before being drawn inside. Landing on a much safer bit of flooring this time, the ball wiggled back and forth before making that pleasant sound of capture.

As the group recovered from the lightning fast turn of events, Joey watched eagerly to make sure the Pokeball would do its job and neutralise the Pokemon. As strong as their group was, it was futile if they burnt themselves out battling nonstop, wasting their stamina. At least with this method it meant they could force a victory and still have some energy to spare. Thankfully as well, no arduous leaps would be required as it settled on good grounds. As the ball clicked and made a final confirmation of its capture, Joey grinned raucously as he pumped his fist up in the air with a triumphant swagger. "ALRIGHT! Considerin' it's been a while since we teamed up you were still as slick as ever, Lupin." Dusting himself down before placing a hand at the back of his spine, he cracked it as if getting it back into place. That Poliwag had a powerful impact to its actions. "Mon dieu... I will be sure to pick my combats more perfectly ze next time. Phoosh!" Feeling his back better in place, the Gallade sauntered over to his attire and put them back on with a quick swoosh of his cape.
As Joey collected the ball, he looked over to Voltek and Chugga. Typically floating, it seemed the sudden smash from the Poliwag had left him feeling a little worse for wear. Propped up next to Voltek, the Weezing let out a defeated sigh. "Brah, time out time for me. I know how Lupin feels." "SUPER WEAK." Patting the rod's tip in his other hand, Voltek looked nervously about as he wanted to go ahead and give another shot at this fishing business but was worried he would injure his friends. "I hope I do not injure anyone this time around. I did not realise my own strength." Letting out a somewhat sarcastic chuckle, Chugga rolled his eyes. As Lupin and Joey sat around the fishing hole with the rest of the group, he rubbed the side of his nose with his thumb and encouraged Voltek on. "Ahhhh you big lug. Hurry up an' fish otherwise i'm takin' yer turn." Grinning cheerfully, Joey looked over to Voltek who made a small nervous chuckle before casting the line in. His eyes concentrating with extreme dedication, it was clear that even if the entire ship suddenly gave way and sunk, Voltek would remain there until he got his catch.

Sitting around the waters edge together once again, Joey's group was a little bit bigger this time around. Now joined by Chugga the Weezing and Lupin the Gallade, this little fishing break was bound to become even better. Cautiously, Voltek flicked the line back into the water and for those on the surface, the waiting game begun once more. Floating down and down, this time the bait hovered right above the dense sand which covered the sunken ships floorboards below. Since the incident with Krabby, many Pokemon had sped away in fear. But time had since passed and now new ones were swimming around the area. Not many paid close attention to the floating bit of bait and the next encounter hadn't been paying attention to anything around it at all.
Swimming backwards, a lone Shellder was zipping across the ocean floor, flapping it's shells to help move it along. Inside, it had a black, pearlescent face with a massive, cheeky tongue poking out. Every Pokemon it had rather rudely pushed past gave the Shellder a look of disgust, unsure as to why they deserved receiving such a rude gesture of being raspberried at as it swam past. This Shellder was on a mission, to find a rather beautiful Clampearl! It had swam across the ocean for what seemed like years, trying to find a pristine mate and only now was it beginning to get agitated. It was certain it had seen beautiful sparkles coming from the inside of this ship. Trying to harshly push past a rotund Wailmer, the blubber guts grunted and bashed the Shellder back. Not actually expecting to be knocked off course, the Shellder was sent tumbling through the water in a spiralling motion and ultimately getting caught in Voltek's line!
As he felt the tugging in his hand, the Electivire began to much more gently reel the line back in, each turn tangling the captured Shellder up even more. Slowly but surely, the newest Pokemon on the end of Joey's fishing rod was eased out of the surface and left hanging in mid air as each of Joey's team took a moment to examine it. Tied up in the fishing line, a rather angered Shellder glared at Joey and with amazing strength, opened it's shell and tore through the line. Landing onto the deck, the lone Shellder stuck it's tongue out with a fierce blow, making a cheeky noise.

As the group anxiously awaited what would come next a bit of chatter broke out amongst them. "Ohoh! Fishing for ze petits poissons. Zis is almost like thieving from the depths of ze ocean. Je approuve." Peering forward at the fishing hole they had gathered themselves around, Joey leaned back after scrutinising it and responding with a small shrug of his arms. "I dunno about that. We'd have fleeced the ocean bare of its inhabitants if this was anythin' like thieving." Wobbling back and forth, still feeling grotty from the Poliwag's surprise attack earlier, Chugga chimed in. "Brah, as long as we don't get any more vicious ones. Can't be dealing with all this aggression, man." "CHILLAX TIME." As their talk continued on, the only one that remained quiet was Voltek. Usually the silent type anyway, it was made even more so apparent with how now dedicating his entire attention to watching out for even the slightest of movements with the fishing rod. Gripping it confidently, the Pokemon couldn't quite get over the fact it felt like a bit of a tree branch taped with a piece of string to it but it was all he needed to actually succeeded in fishing. The thought of just standing over the fishing hole and launching his fist into the opening to grab whatever passers-by came around was tempting but it would likely cause too much of an upset.
Unbeknownst to him of course was the fact that there was bit of a stir going on regardless down in the watery sea below. Having raucously searched around for the only one that can be recipient of his affections, the Shellder was starting to grate on the local wildlife's nerves. As the Wailmer bumped into the shellfish and sent it flying backwards, Voltek picked up on the sudden start and used his muscles to resist the pull of the rod. Having tried to resist the rod's hook, the Pokemon became more and more entangled before Voltek felt his chance. Lifting up with a great heave, the line came splashing out along with the tangled up interloper. Sailing over their heads and right over to a spacious area of the lower deck, the whole group turned to look at what they had hooked. "Looks like it got really tangled up a bunch there." Before long, the Shellder managed to break itself free from the binds as it opened up its shell. Getting to his feet, Lupin took charge of the situation. "Mes amis! Allow me, se il vous plaît." Stepping forward, Lupin went to fling off his cape to the side to battle more efficiently when the sudden twist of his back made him cry out in agony. "Ahhhaahhhhh... Mon dieu!"
His eyes wincing, Joey realised his Pokemon would be in a spot of trouble if he didn't act, especially given he was still feeling the damage he had received from the round prior. Opening up his jacket and picking a ball suitable, he enlarged it in the centre and grinned confidently. "This here ball was something Kurt gifted us. Let's put it to good use!" Tossing the Lure Ball forward, he hoped for a quick and easy victory.

Sticking out it's tongue still at Joe, the wild Shellder soon opened it's eyes at the sound of a lone set of approaching footsteps. Tongue hanging out, the Pokemon peered upward from it's shell, staring up to the tall Lupin who now towered over it. Not feeling too intimidated as the Shellder itself knew a special move in which it used to protect itself from fairly powerful foes in similar leagues of Lupin, it knew it could stick this battle out. The purple creature was about to withdraw into it's shell when the sign of a battle started but instead, it's face turned into that of a shocked expression as it's opponent began acting strangely. Back craned after a cracking sound echoed throughout the room and a clearly pained tone to his voice, it was almost as if Lupin was still sore from the battle with Poliwag. That or maybe it had been a while since he had battled anything properly. Reacting to Lupin's pain more positively, the Shellder was about to use this distraction to it's advantage and launch one of it's powerful, icy attacks.
However, with this act of haste, it had forgotten about the others which surrounded the battle. There was the large Electivire who could've stepped in or even the floating Weezing close by. Neither moved, as instead, the trainer stepped forward. Bringing out a very special, hand crafted ball from his stash, Joe tossed the Lure Ball forward. Tapping the Shellder right on it's shell, a light enveloped it's being before dragging it inside and clicking shut. The move was a brave one as the Shellder was still fully healed and had numerous amounts of energy to try and fight the capture off. Kurt's skills proving to be top notch, it was no wonder as he was known as an expert craftsman as without even a struggle, the ball successfully trapped the wild Shellder and added another member to Joe's ever growing gang.

The Shellder now in the confines of the Lure Ball, Joey kept his eye carefully trained on the custom Pokeball as he looked over the well crafted design it embodied. " Speakin' of Kurt, I may just have to go trudging back through to Azalea and see if he can craft up any other Pokeballs for me. I know the Lure Ball and some of the other ones had some cool looking designs goin' on." As the capture device finished with its routine, Joey grinned raucously as he made a pump of his fist in celebration. " And another. Haha, we oughta start up our own fishing empire. Selling off fresh catches at a steal. There definitely doesn't seem to be any kind of let up being directly above the sea." As he walked over to collect the newly caught Pokemon, Lupin walked back up and sat back down, his back still a bit strained from everything. Upon returning, Joey looked at Voltek as he seemed to be messing around with the wire that was still tangled up. " It appears we caught more than just a Shellder with that last catch. There... Is something... Tangled up." Using his fingers to try and unravel the line from the object, it wasn't long before the Electivire cracked the mess and looked at the cause of the entanglement. " What exactly is this?" He pondered. As he lifted it up, Joey scratched the stubble on the end of his chin and realised it was a hat. " Hahahaha, whaddya know, looks like we landed up a captain's hat. I wonder if this was amongst the sea floor from all the contents that have spilt outta this ship. Hm. Might as well claim it as another of our spoils." Taking the hat and wringing it out sightly, it was unbeknownst to them all it was actually the Shellder's they had just caught. As the hat was now drained of excess damp, Joey placed it on top of his bandanna and laughed. " Cap'n Joey! Aye aye!" He messed around in a terrible fake accent. Looking over to Voltek, he gestured his hand as if for the Pokemon to give up the fishing rod. " C'mon, I think we oughta swap this around a little. At this point you're a better fisherman than I am, haha!" As he knelt down and seated himself at the edge of the fishing hole, he budged up as Voltek shuffled along and handed him the rod. Casting it in, Joey was keen to catch a whopper. Voltek had done good but he wasn't about to be outdone. OOC: Don't learn Heal Pulse. Taking over the position as fisherman, Voltek was left to sit this toss out as Joey decided to take the reigns this time around. With his line now free of knots, tangles and trapped Pokemon and items, Joe was free to flick the line back into the water, the repetitive feeling of having to wait for a wild Pokemon to take interest emerging once again. Floating down and down, it didn't take long for the hook to be noticed once again but this time, by a pair of Pokemon who had been playing around the line much earlier. A pair of Goldeen! Looking to one another, they had been watching from a distance this whole time, witnessing Pokemon after Pokemon disappearing up onto the shore, never to be seen again. It was a bit scary to say the least and thus, they had decided to investigate further. Confidentially swimming forward, they each examined the line, their eyes glancing up to see a hole which led it the surface. Looking to one another, the slightly larger Goldeen flapped a fin forward and pointed it's horn upward, as if suggesting it was going to sort the matter out itself. Shaking it's body rapidly, the second Goldeen was quick to disagree with such a reckless act but by then, it was far too late.
Swimming toward the hook, the eyes of the Goldeen sparkled with wild curiosity. It had never really swam to the surface that often but in a way, it was interested in what could be lurking above. If it was strong enough to take out atleast three different Pokemon, then it should've known better and stayed clear. Opening it's mouth, it bit down on the line, the lightning fast reflexes of Joe taking it off guard. With a manic tug, the Goldeen felt it's body tear through the water before finally emerging with a hefty splash. Landing back in the water, it let itself be known to Joe as the Goldeen itself, examined him. Sitting on the surface of the water was a rather elegant fish, bearing white scales with a lovely orange pattern. It's fins and tail almost representing a beautiful frill, it's good looks became almost unnerving considering the massive horn which stuck out from it's forehead. Blinking to Joe, it puckered up it's thick lips as if ready to attack. Another foe had made itself known!

Having only just thrown the line in, Joey's grin knew no bounds as it spread from ear to ear as he looked over to Voltek. "Heh heh! This is how you do it, Volt! You're doin' way better for a rookie but this is how we pro's roll! Haha!" Finishing his little jest, he better focused his attention on the now violent tugs of the rod. Using both of his arms to steady, he began wriggling on his seated position to try and better wrest in the near out of control line. "Woah-hoah! Whatever we got 'ere, it's a bigg 'un." Wasting no time, he stomped both of his boots down on the lower deck and yanked up with one almighty tug of his arms. "WHOOOOOOPPPPPPPER!" He yelled at the top of his lungs as he yanked it out of the waters. To him, the sheer struggle from the source meant it had to be a Pokemon of some unfathomable size and strength. However, what had been fished out had surprised them all, Joey more than anyone. Looking at its beautiful appearance and in all fairness, meek looks, it made Joe out to be as if he was telling porkies. "Awww c'mon! That thing that was tuggin'... That wasn't you was it?!"
Leering his eye in closer, he reared away quick as the Goldeen began puckering up its lips angrily. "Nope!" Tossing it over to his side, he landed the Goldeen and adjusted the captain hat he had pinched from earlier. "Looks like we got another one to contend with." Having already got to his feet, Voltek had began walking over and let out a small zap like growl as he responded to taking up the fight. "On it." His lips pursed somewhat, it appeared Voltek was amused at Joey's catch not being quite the leviathan he had been making it out to be. "What shall I do?" Queried Voltek as he got into a battle stance. At that point, it was too late. "Nuttin'. I got this one already. Just wanted to see you get up and move ya arse as I could see you tryin' not to laugh at my catch." Snickering a bit louder, Voltek turned as he was unable to hide his amusement any more. "I will admit. It was quite funny hearing you big up this catch and it's the equivalent of a gold fish." Having tossed a choice Quick Ball at the Goldeen, Joey grumbled as he looked at his old rod. "Yeah? Well... Maybe this old rod isn't so great. MAYBE it's time we looked at an investment."

Not quite the leviathan Joey had been hoping for, the Goldeen sported an even more angered expression as it quickly sensed the disappointment that now loomed in the air. Although beautiful and frail looking, the Goldeen certainly had a powerful tug on it and was hardly something to be looked down upon. But looking around, it was surrounded by tall, in some case bulky figures, so to compared to them, it probably did seem flimsy and weak. However, the Goldeen was annoyed by this fact and wanted nothing more than to face them off in a battle. If tearing Pokemon from the depths of the sea for his own personal gain wasn't enough, he also had to insult the Pokemon on it's looks and the Goldeen certainly wasn't going to accept that. Yet as the shadow of the large Electivire suddenly hung over it, the Goldeen couldn't help but quiver ever so slightly. Voltek was a terrifying sight to behold, especially when you were on the receiving end of his painful attacks. But the wild creature was here to give some pain itself and with it's pride and safety of it's friend at stake, it couldn't give up.
Or atleast, it wouldn't give up, if only it had the chance.
Not one to let a rare Pokemon pass him by, or in this case be the but of the joke, Joey had sent in a lightning fast toss of a special Pokeball, which was quick to draw in the wild fish. Startled, since it had been used so quickly, the ball practically had a one hundred percent capture rate, making it near impossible for the Goldeen to escape from, no matter how much energy it used to try and release itself. With a soft ding, the Pokemon was quick to become trapped inside, the second Goldeen who remained underwater flinching as it realised what had just happened. A very precious friend had just been taken away.

Completely unaware that the Goldeen was part of a pair and they had just snagged one half of the duo, Joey chuckled as the Goldeen was successfully caught. " Just you wait, next time I fish up somethin' you'll be in tears over how big it is I tell ya." Shaking his head he eventually stopped as he looked over to the newly acquired Pokemon sitting in the quick ball. " Be a chum and go get it, will ya?" Pulling something of a glum face, Voltek mumbled to himself in something of an annoyed manner. " Mmph. Have I really fallen to that of errand boy?" Stomping over, Voltek procured the spherical device and turned around to return. Having sat there contemplating the rod in his hand, Joey was almost serious in terms of upgrading the rod he had. " See, we've both been getting some fairly alrightish catches but i'm just wondering if a stick and string is really cuttin' it. Maybe something with a few pulleys and levels and stuff. Just a bit more sophistication, y'know?" Scratching his head as he returned, Voltek didn't appear to be all that fussed. " It does it's job." Not really feeling his Pokemon's enthusiasm, Joey laughed it off. " Eh, fine. I'll upgrade and you can keep this wooden stick. To be honest, i'd hate to just chuck it away. Got some memories tied up in this." Thinking about making one last cast, he went to prepare the line when something caught his attention. His Poketch was going off rapidly, blinking, vibrating and making an annoying electronic beep. " What now?" Checking his message, it seemed like an SOS message sent from his base of operations, the warehouse. " G'dammit... Alright guys. We gotta ditch this joint and i'm bringin' the bike outta retirement. Where we gotta go, we gotta go fast." Standing up, he returned the excess of his Pokemon and looked to Voltek before nodding. " You rest up, Volt. I dunno what this SOS is about but it can't be good." Giving Joey a stern nod, Voltek returned, leaving Joey to himself. " Time to get out of here. I'll be back though." He smiled with a wry expression seeping in. Taking one last glance, he made for the stairwell he had been to before and made his way off the sunken ship wreck. -- ON HOLD --
