Tanya pulled back the curtains from the window, grinning at the wan sunlight. Sure, it wasn't streaming in all nice and warm, but it was still nice to see the sky not obscured by trees. (Trees.) She resisted the desire to shudder. After all the time she'd spent in Ilex, it was the last place she wanted to think of. Yawning widely, the tousle-haired girl strode towards the bathroom, carefully dodging around Caladrius, who was dozing peacefully at the foot of the hotel bed. She showered quickly and dressed just as fast, hurrying through her morning routine.
The day was young and she didn't want to waste it holed up in a hotel room, no matter how nice it was. Finishing brushing her teeth, the trainer brushed her unruly hair to its usual wavy form and packed everything up, leaving them in a bag on the counter. Tanya walked back into the main part of the room and stretched for a minute, getting the kinks out of her muscles. With autumn's chill in the air, she'd dressed in her white tank-top with a black sweatshirt coat thrown over top to keep her warm.
Paired with jeans and her usual boots, it was fine attire for a day out in the city. Especially a city that lined the sea, where wind coming off from the waters could be ridiculously cold. Tanya recalled Caladrius and clipped his ball to a belt she'd picked up the previous night. The rest of her team's Poké Balls were attached to it as well. It was a lot easier to have them within reach and not have to wind up digging through her bag for them.
She left the hotel room and locked the door behind her, riding the elevator down and exiting outside. The air was fresh, cold, and a little bit salty, perking her up somewhat. But she still was a little sluggish mentally, and her first stop was at a little cafe, where the girl picked up a caramel flavoured cappuccino. While she wanted to take advantage of the day, kicking back to enjoy her caffeine kick wasn't too awful.
Until she got the shock of her life.
"Oh my goodness, Tanya!" cried a familiar female voice. Tanya looked round, green eyes wide as she wondered who'd recognized her through the small crowd of people lined up at the cafe's doors. To her great surprise her mother appeared, light-brown eyes twinkling with happiness. Tanya's eyes watered as she swallowed her scalding beverage by accident, which her mother misinterpreted as a reaction to not having seen her for a while.
Anise wrapped her arms around her daughter, hugging her tightly before letting go and helping herself to the open seat on the other side. "How have you been, cherie?" the older version of Tanya asked, her dark tresses tied neatly in a ponytail. Dabbing at her streaming eyes with a napkin, Tanya smiled at her mother, though it seemed more like a grimace due in part to the burning feeling in her throat. "I've been better. Just got through a long trek through Ilex Forest. I took a few detours so it's my own fault but... ugh, I won't be doing that any time soon."
Her mother chuckled quietly, gazing at Tanya with nothing less than pride and love. "So mama, what are you doing down here in Goldenrod?" Tanya inquired, sipping her coffee tentatively, eyes locked on the door and expecting her father to burst through them any second. "Well your father had to come here on a business trip and I decided to tag along. I wasn't sure we'd run into you, since Sable's last letter told us you were going to be traveling through Ilex after a couple days wandering around Azalea. But what luck!"
Tanya nodded, looking thoughtfully out the window. "I guess Dad's in one of his interminable meetings?" she asked, receiving a nod and an exasperated sigh. "You know it! He should be done by about 3 pm, so I decided to do a little shopping. But it won't be as lonely with you as company!" Anise enthused, flashing a megawatt smile that instantly caused guilt to spike through her daughter.
"Er, I can't really do shopping today mama. I have some training to do before anything else," Tanya said softly, meeting her mother's eyes hesitantly. But Anise seemed content, her eyes brightening up. "Ooooh! I'd love to meet your partners! Besides, all the good stores open in an hour or two. Can I tag along for your training? It's not like we're here for only a day!"
The idea of her mother watching her battle seemed mortifying, but if it made her happy, then what the hell. "Sure. How about we head out now? I was planning on trying Route 34 for a quick battle." Anise nodded her agreement and the duo exited the cafe, heading out of the city. They chatted animatedly until the sea-side route came into view, causing Tanya to stop and pluck a ball from her belt.
Moka stretched her wings with a happy screech, turning around to face her trainer. Anise crouched down, careful not to rip her silk skirt as she inspected the Golbat. "Aww, aren't you just a sweetheart?" the woman crooned, patting Moka's head affectionately. "Moka won't look so sweet when she's done her training," Tanya said to herself, grinning. All they had to do now was wait.

Quickly spotting Tanya and her mother, A large avian glanced down at them from above as its impressive wingspan caught the oncoming drift of air, keeping it drifting while it soared. This was a Pidgeotto, ones that you weren’t used to seeing before this town. Normally, one would run into its base form, Pidgey, but today, the creature had chosen to go hunting, and it crooned when it spotted Mocha down below. Possibly mistaking her for hunting in its territory, it began to glide downwards. “Geootto!” it cried furiously, racing down like there was a burning hellfire following after it. Mocha moved out of the way, having sensed it coming already, and it swooped down and landed on the ground. Its eyes were demanding, as if trying to instantly make these people bow to its whim. It wanted to know why they were on its turf, and why this bat was hunting here. With a tug at its wings, it whipped up a warning gust, seeing if it could scare the bat with a good flap or two of its wings. This may have worked for Rattata and Raticate, but Tanya and Mocha were probably a different story. ____________________________________________________ Warning! A wild Pidgeotto (Level 18) has appeared!

Moka seemed to be enjoying the attention from Anise, making happy-sounding screeches before the woman straightened up, brushing stray hairs from her face. "Aren't you going to let the others out too?" she asked Tanya, who turned her head around before shaking it with a smile. "Not yet. Moka's almost ready to evolve, so I wanted to get her a battle first before I focused on the others. Sides, it's still a bit chilly out," she answered, stuffing her hands in the pockets of her jacket.
Anise sighed but seemed to understand her reasons. Moka had moved back from the women and was stretching her wings when the Pidgeotto suddenly appeared out of nowhere, its rapidly beating wings alerting her to its presence. She quickly leapt aside as it touched down, cawing and trying to intimidate them. When it sent a warning gust of wind her way, Moka screeched and hopped forwards, telling it there was no way she was backing down.
"Well that's a Pokémon I haven't seen for some time! I remember them so fondly from my childhood. Are you going to capture it?" Anise asked, smiling despite the bird's obvious irritation with them encroaching on its territory. "We'll see how the battle goes. As it is I need to restock on Poké Balls and the like later," Tanya replied, studying the Pidgeotto thoughtfully.
She'd try to capture it, but that all depended on whether or not Moka was too strong for it. The Golbat seemed raring to go, so there was no use in thinking things over. Might as well try all out assault first and see how it went. Lifting her arm, Tanya flicked her fingers at the brown-hued bird. "Alright Moka, show it we're no pushovers with Wing Attack!" the girl ordered, smiling confidently when Moka lifted off the ground, circling around them three times before swooping towards her opponent, wings outstretched.

Annoyed that its impressive wing span had done little to deter these interlopers on its claimed territory, the Pidgeotto kept flapping its large wings no longer for intimidation but as if to psych itself up for the inevitable battle that was unfolding before it. As the large Golbat flew itself towards it as if to meet its opponent in battle, the Pidgeotto also used its natural talent to take up to the air as well. Considering how much large the bird's wing span was, it took very little movement for it to match where Moka had been trying to assault at it from, making its very movement look effortless. Leering with its alluring eyes, the Pidgeotto edged back as the large bat went in for a slap with its stiffened wings and seemed to taunt the Golbat for such a slip up. In fairness, anyone facing a Pidgeotto for the first time would have to slowly gear themselves up for a fight with one due to the difference in pacing with most other Pokemon. Seeing that Moka had stumbled at her would be attempt, the Pidgeotto reared back with a manoeuvre of its elegant wings and somehow sped forward with the agility of a Mach 3 missile. This sudden increase in its speed seemed to unnerve Moka a little bit who fluttered backwards at the sight. Now transforming itself into a beige blurring bullet, the Pidgeotto focused all of its anger at these trespassers into the sharp beak it sported. Unable to fully flee away, Moka tried her best to dodge but was swiped viciously with the brunt of the Pokemon's Quick Attack. The avian didn't stop there however, continuing on with its momentous glide, the Pokemon aerially manoeuvred itself downwards in a bending formation before it swooped directly over the heads of Tanya and her mother. Whether this was sheer cockiness or a warning sign to back off was hard to determine but the little threat would have its consequences. Having slowed down and smiling to itself over threatening the two human trespassers, Moka had finally caught up, beating her wings like a bat out of hell (LOL). Focusing her might into strengthening her wings, she swathed forward and beat the Pokemon savagely on its head as the Pokemon flew partly into the hit. Disrupting its elegant flight, the Pidgeotto took an emergency crash landing and went tumbling through a particularly muddy patch of the route, totally spoiling its once pristine plumage. This has gone from retaliation against trespassing to a whole lot else and it wanted blood. Wild Battle

(Your puns are driving me batty mang!)
The amazing agility displayed by the Pidgeotto was rather captivating. It had stricken Moka and had more than enough speed to spare a quick flyby over their heads, ruffling the hair on their heads. "Oi! Watch it, you cocky little -!" Tanya spat, cutting herself off at a warning glance from her mother. She didn't like hearing curse words spewing from her daughter's mouth. So the girl resorted to a dirty look, which morphed into a grin as Moka met the Pidgeotto with a hearty swing to the head, knocking it to the ground.
"Oh my!" Anise gasped, although it was hard to tell if she were shocked or amazed by the battle so far. Moka chittered as she hung in the air, studying her now filthy foe with distaste. It wasn't enough to out-fly her, but it had to antagonize her trainer? She glared at the falcon, daring it to try a stunt like that. It would meet a world of pain if it wanted to play games with her.
Tanya fixed her ruffled hair, scowling heartily as she did so. The bird certainly had nerve, that was for sure. "Your hair looks as radiant as ever, hija. I'm surprised no boys are out here harassing you for a date," the older woman chuckled, her brown eyes sparkling as Tanya whirled around, flushing. "I'm a Pokémon trainer mama, not really enough time for dating..."
Anise tossed her head back and laughed. "Of course there is! I'm sure you've met your fair share of boys. Come on, you can spill to me and not a word will get back to your father!" she mused, trying her best not to burst out again as Tanya spluttered, still red in the face. "Ugh, no more! Moka, use Bite!" the girl ordered, putting her face in her hands and sighing at her mother's antics.

So I’m to leave them alone, huh. Well they are the trespassers. the Pidgeotto thought to itself as it watched the interaction of the female trainer and what looked to be her mother as she gave the trainer some sort of embarrassing talk or lecture. Well now it knew this trainers weak point, her mother, this might come in handy later if the time arose. It’s stomach still stung just a little from the damn bats run in with its gut. This Pidgeotto was definitely pissed about this, not only that the damn bat had got him but that these pesky humans and their trained pokemon had trespassed on his territory.
Deciding that the dormancy of this battle at this moment was to much and it pulled itself into a steep descent towards the bat pokemon, Moka. The large avain watched in its eyes as the trained pokemon got closer and closer as the descent continued. Not daring to unfld its wings it landed a series of peck on the bat pokemon in it’s Quick Attack.
In Moka’s retaliation it landed a large bite on the Pidgeotto’s wings just as it was unfurling them to ruffle the clothes and hair of the female trainer and her mother, the spot where the Golbat had sunk its fangs into the avians wing join stung but it wasn’t quite enough at the moment to keep this large bird out of the skies as it returned to its rightful place in the sky. It was definitly woozy and the bite was taking a lot out of it as it stayed in the sky, it knew taht would probably would not be able to make it through another round of attack [/size] Wild Pokemon Battle[/b]

Moka screeched as she was assailed by a flurry of blows from the Pidgeotto as it sped at her again with a Quick Attack, fluttering her wings madly to keep from being knocked clean out of the air. But her revenge was swift, and quite sweet too as she bit into the bird's wing joint, lapping up a bit of blood that welled from the puncture wounds. It pulled away from her soon enough, soaring out of reach, but in a very dazed manner.
"I hope Moka isn't sucking its blood or anything, poor bird looks like it's on its... last wings," Anise said with a dry grin. The pun made Tanya groan, but she didn't look back at her mother, too busy with unzipping a pocket in her bag where her capture tools were stored. Extracting an Ultra Ball, she looked up at the Pidgeotto, watching it soar about.
She was able to throw a ball pretty far, but the bird seemed a little too high up. "Hey Moka! Chase it into capture range!" Tanya called out to her Golbat. Moka nodded and fluttered after the bird, harassing the Pidgeotto with her wings and screeching at it, aiming to make it fly lower. Tanya let the Ultra Ball go flying upwards, hoping that the bird would soar right into it as Moka continued to annoy it.

Moka looked rather proud of itself, it appeared as though this battle was almost over but there was no time to rest! The bat Pokemon seemed to swat around, nothing in particular in the means of an attack but still... there was time for this to be done blissfully. Moka was able to follow the orders but wondered how useful something that was apparently this weak really was. There was a slow silence, the Pokeball was going to soar through the air and things were about to get interesting.
This was an Ultra Ball, obviously this girl wanted this Pidgeotto. Rather interesting to think that someone was willing to spend such an expensive ball in order to use it on someone like this fairly average Pokemon. Some may never understand the logic but then again nobody ever wanted to thin about how much their spending just to possibly catch a Pokemon. It seemed to bother the Pidgeotto however, trying to get to be the best but now being tamed. The world left the weakened Pokemons eyes as they were trapped inside the ball... ... wiggle... ... wiggle... ... wiggle... THE ANTICIPATION MUST BE KILLING YOU! A small flash of red with the Ultraball. Things calmed down a little, it appeared as though it was over for Tanya... CONGRATS, YOU'VE CAUGHT PIDGEOTTO!Please fill out the following information! Leaving blank because I'm gonna sell it. --
Pidgeotto, despite not wanting to end up as a Pokémon serving a human, was captured rather quickly, the ball flashing a red light to signify a successful capture. Moka swooped down and hovered in front of Tanya, chittering at her success. "What are you going to do with it, Tanya dear?" her mother inquired, walking forwards and picking up the motionless ball and inspecting its now dusty surface.
"I've already got a couple great Flying types so I might trade it off to someone. Moka, you did awesome!" Tanya replied, flashing a grin and a thumbs-up to her Golbat. The large bat screeched happily, her wings flapping rapidly to keep her aloft. But within a few seconds they were glazed with a bright white light that engulfed her entire body, causing Tanya and Anise to throw up their arms to shield their eyes. After a moment, it died down and revealed an entirely new Pokémon in Moka's place.
A large purple bat with two sets of wings and small, curled feet hovered effortlessly before the two, blinking bright yellow eyes slowly, as if adjusting to the change that had occurred to her. "Moka! You look incredible, amiga!" Tanya exclaimed, hugging the large Crobat. Moka grinned and nibbled on the girl's hair before she was released, soaring around with her powerful new wings.
"What a sight! Evolution is so magical," Anise breathed, watching Moka execute some fancy aerial moves before speeding back towards them, coming to a quick and smooth halt. Tanya recalled the Crobat and grinned, excited to have evolved a Pokémon she'd grown extremely fond of. The bat was sweet and plucky, and she made an excellent partner, just like Saphira.
The redhead turned to her mother and gestured towards the city. "I'm done for now with this, how about we do some shopping and I'll introduce you to the rest of my team?" she offered, eager to escape the cool wind whipping off the water. Anise brightened up and nodded happily, grabbing Tanya by the arm as the duo headed back in to Goldenrod for a day of shopping and catching up.

"I'm dying."
It was a low moan that escaped Tanya as she collapsed against the trunk of a shady tree, the unbearable heat forcing her out of the sun. The very air seemed to shimmer with the intensity of the heat wave, cicadas droning to a fever pitch in the silent air. She'd taken up residence in Route 34, hoping to catch a breeze from the sea that lapped at the nearby city to no avail. Hell, the sunlight reflecting off the deep blue water made everything worse by blinding the poor souls stupid enough to venture outside.
Tanya was one of those poor, stupid souls.
When she had first left the hotel, the heat was uncomfortable but manageable. After finishing her lunch, everything had gotten worse as the temperature spiked. Not wanting to risk some sort of heat exhaustion trekking back into the city, the girl had searched for cover to no avail until she came across the tree she now lay under. Flat on her back, eyes closed, sweat streaming down her face as she wished dearly for some relief.
Ignitus and Saphira stood nearby, rather enjoying the temperature. But they weren't playing or goofing off, rather, acting as lookouts while their trainer tried to keep herself cool. If Starscream wasn't being punished for a recent incident involving a young kid in the city, perhaps Tanya would have let him out and asked for him to flap his wings for some sort of breeze. The memory of the youngster as he'd tried to pet the 'shiny birdie' made her wince; Starscream hadn't noticed the kid's approach and nearly bit off his fingers.
Tanya lifted her head and looked at Ignitus' back. "I'm dying Iggy. Didn't you hear me?" she said, almost laughing when he turned his head to give her a dark look that said he didn't appreciate the thought of her imminent demise. But there was nothing he could really do about the situation. Sighing, Tanya sat up properly and dug through her new green bag, a gift sent from her mother and father. Thank Arceus she'd bought frozen water bottles from a vendor in town. Extracting one, she was glad to find it was still frosted with ice.
It took only two gulps for her to feel the heat lessen, a sigh of relief escaping. While it was tempting to pour it down her face and neck, she was only wearing her white tank-top and denim capris, as well as some flimsy sandals her mother insisted she take for days like this. As Tanya crossed her legs and took another sip, she could only hope her day of planned training wouldn't go to waste and some battling would happen.

With the sun pelting down on the greenery of Route 34 below, sitting outside was almost equal to that of a sauna being cranked up to the highest possible temperature. Having the sun was a nice feeling which portrayed that of summer but even this weather was far too intense, a dip in the glittering sea probably equally a vicious sun burn if one weren't to protect themselves correctly. Even under the shade of a large tree with a fresh bottle of frozen water, the heat continued to radiate downward. This type of weather wasn't at all fun, if anything it was energy sapping. Forcing those out of town to remain hidden in shade, sitting in their own shade until perhaps a single cloud floated past to temporarily block the rays of the sun. But there was no chance of that today. The blue sky was as clear as a crystal, the odd, white, smokey trail from a aeroplane overhead being the only thing to ruin the perfect stretch of blue.
It wasn't just Tanya, however, who was suffering from the weather. Numerous Pokemon were hiding away, dripping in their own sweat as they tried their best to find the coolest shelter of shade possible. One particular chunky Pokemon was having no luck what so ever but maybe that was because it was walking right in the middle of the path rather than in the bushes. Gaunt eyes and heavy footsteps, a Drowzee seemed to be struggling to keep itself upright, as if suffering from a bit of heat stroke itself. Turning the corner and waltzing through a patch of grass, the blades seemed to scratch at it's sore, sensitive and burnt body causing it to jump out again straight away. As it did, the wild beast caught sight with two Pokemon and a trainer, Saphira being right in front of it.
Cringing and wriggling it's fingers in a mixture of natural reaction and fear, it seemed to pause at the sight of fresh water. Mouth dropping ajar, the Drowzee seemed to get a sudden bout of energy, stomping it's feet threateningly and clapping it's hands as if demanding the drink. It could've easily used some psychic powers to pinch the drink but obviously the heat had invaded it's brain a bit too much.
A wild Drowzee (Level 19) has appeared to battle! Please select a Pokemon.Weather Status: Heat WaveSunny Day will be in affect.

Tanya leaned her back against the tree, still mentally debating the pros and cons of dousing herself with the contents of the water bottle. It would certainly cool her down, but it would only be for a short period of time, or if someone came wandering along and saw her... ergh, no thanks. If she had remembered to pack sunscreen of the water-proof variety, perhaps a dip in the sea would have been in the cards. But noooo, she had to be in such a rush that she just grabbed the most basic essentials and rushed out of her hotel room.
Rolling her eyes, Tanya lifted the bottle to her lips but stopped when Ignitus and Saphira moved around, shifting into defensive positions. Her Combusken stepped back, throwing up his arms in a fighting pose as the wild Pokémon gestured madly as it approached. Curiosity overwhelming, the red-haired girl leaned to one side to get a better look at the incoming creature, amused to find it a Drowzee. Her amusement faded as she wondered how badly the heat was affecting it; she was having a rough time, but the wild Pokémon of the route surely had it worse.
A rustling sound in her bag had Tanya whipping her head round to discover the source of the noise, a shocked gasp escaping as something small, red and covered in a chitinous shell broke free from her bag. "Ratchet!" Tanya hissed, nearly ready to throw herself at the Venipede. Ratchet was charging right towards Drowzee, seeming almost poised to attack. Luckily, Saphira had been paying attention and deftly lifted the bug off the ground, ignoring Ratchet's complaints.
'Saphira let me down! I need to see if this Drowzee will worship me! BOW TO MY BEAUTY! BOW TO IT! Or so help me I will inject you with a toxin that will turn your skin purple!' the Venipede cried. She stopped struggling, looking at Drowzee carefully. 'Oh but that might be an improvement. Teehee.' Sighing, Saphira turned round and dropped Ratchet on Tanya's lap before dashing out to meet Drowzee and stop it from getting too close.
'Don't blindly rush in without knowing your foe, Ratchet. That's how things get bad fast,' the Charmeleon said, her blue eyes focused on Drowzee as she waited for Tanya to say something. "Don't be too rough Saphira, I think... this is a big 'I think', it may want some water. Use Dragon Rage, will you?" Tanya supplied, her green eyes studying Drowzee's expression intently. Hopefully it would understand that it would be indeed getting some water if it participated in this battle.
OOC Note: Ratchet the Venipede was sent in, then 'switched' for Saphira, who used Dragon Rage. (:

Honorable as Tanya's intentions were, the Drowzee didn't get that she would give it water for a Battle. It of course wanted all the water in it's current state of mind, but that still meant that Tanya would get her Battle so it probably wouldn't have mattered even if the Drowzee got it anyway. Though even in this state it found it odd that one of the Trainer's Pokemon had burst out of her Pokeball and started charging at the Psychic Pokemon, it knew the Pokemon was Poison, so that gave Drowzee the advantage, but it had failed to take into account that Rachet was also a Bug-Type Pokemon, so it prepared to use it's Confusion. But in the end, even though the Battle started with that target, Drowzee didn't get the chance to release the attack on the Poison-Type, as she'd been stopped by the Pokemon Drowzee had first seen, the red lizard that had been in front of it. It seemed that Drowzee would be fighting this one instead, a shame but since it already had the attack ready, this new Pokemon would get to taste it's Confusion instead. It wasn't like a Fire-Type resisted a Psychic attack anyway, so it wasn't too worried, though considering it's state of mind that wasn't saying much. Had it been in a good state it'd have noticed how strong the Fire Pokemon actually was. But there was nothing to be done about that, as the Drowzee didn't know that and was in a rush to attack and get that water for itself. But it began sending the energy directly to the Charmelon's mind, to her it felt like her mind was swimming, while also giving her a sense of vertigo, and just in general screwing with every sense she had. Needless to say, this put a serious strain on her mind, as she felt like her head was being torn apart due to the attack. It felt longer than it actually was however, and the attack shortly ended. It took her a short while to steady herself, but there didn't seem to be any lasting effects as she began her own attack. She took a deep breath, the move called upon the power of her fellow, though older, Dragons for it's power. It wasn't far off from her Ember in use, just more powerful and it used the rage built up by her Dragon lineage. She released the attack, sending the shockwaves at the Drowzee, who didn't have a chance at getting out of the way, in part thanks to it's own recklessness due to the heat, it was struck head on by young dragon's attack and knocked back several feet by the blase. It was clearly in a lot of pain from the attack, as the attack bypassed any defense the target might offer. Nothing in the world could stand to the onslaught of rage that dragons had built up over the centuries. It was still strong enough to use another Attack though, disappointed in it's previous Confusion, the Drowzee decided to try a different approach. Like the Poison-Type had done before, the Drowzee started to charge it's opponent, lowering it's head for a Headbutt it came crashing into the Charmeleon at full speed, knocking the Fire-Type to the side as it barreled on for several more feet, before once again turning to face it's opponent. The attack had done the same amount of damage as the Confusion sadly, but it felt better, even if the opponent recovered from this attack more quickly. But Saphira after she stoo back up, was ready for her next set of orders, though the Battle was probably a bit disappointing for her since the Char family liked a challenge. Saphira growled low under her breath as she was subject to Confusion, the attack warping her reality while putting intense pressure on her brain, squeezing. When it was released, a headache remained with her, but it didn't affect her attack prowess thankfully. Shaking her head, the dragon let loose her draconic fury, a snarl erupting as she exhaled hard to make sure the impact was as painful as possible. 'You cretin... you can use your mind all you want, but in the end, my brawn will beat your brain!'
Ignitus, whose posture had relaxed when Saphira stepped in, seemed surprised to hear her speak in such a manner. Perhaps the Confusion had really annoyed her, which was a near impossible thing to achieve. He winced in synchronicity with her as she was rammed by the Drowzee. Saphira was strong though, and such a blow was probably nothing she couldn't handle. Tanya watched, slightly anxious to see her partner get battered.
"Doing okay, Saphy?" she asked, rubbing her brow of the perspiration that was gathering there. Saphira offered a grin as she looked back, nodding her head to assure them she was perfectly fine, other than the throbbing pain in her head and chest where Drowzee's skull had impacted. Tanya looked up at the sun and scowled at it, wondering why it was cursing the city with such mercury-shattering hot temperatures. Finishing off her water, Tanya stored the empty bottle in her bag and pulled out a second, gently shifting Ratchet so she could stand up.
Tanya crouched down near Saphira and rolled the full, cold bottle across the ground to Drowzee. "Take this as a token of apology. Saphira... finish this with Ember!" the girl spoke, nodding at her Charmeleon. With the sun shining bright, perhaps it would aid the Fire type's attack. Tanya moved back as Saphira inhaled, preparing to spray her foe with fire.

Saphria wasn't bothered by the heat like the Drowzee was, it didn't bother her at all in fact. Fire Pokemon had to be able to deal with heat, it even made them feel better. Either way she had her orders, so she released the small flames from her mouth, sending them hurtling toward her opponent, individually weak, the sheer amount of flames meant that a hit as likely, and that the Drowzee would suffer some decent damage from the attack. There was nothing the heat stroked Drowzee could do, or that it even thought of doing, as the fireballs came right for it. The Drowzee didn't stand a chance as the fire hit it's already scorching body, it fell to the ground, even hotter than it had been, and clearly more crispy than it had been. But even then, had only used Saphria the minimum amount of force needed to defeat the already weakened Drowzee. Not like she'd been out to kill it after all, it simply wasn't in it's right mind. Still she'd benefited from the Battle, gaining some more experience. Ratchet also got a bit stronger than before because of the Battle. Battle Drowzee | Level 19| Health: 0/57 HP [0%]Status: FaintedAttack: N/A Vs. Saphira | Level 26| Health: 58/74 HP [78%]Status: Normal Attack: A successful Ember. Weather: Heat Wave
