Haha, yeah, so many people just disappeared like that. D: I think I might drop a few of the mods. I'll PM them to tell them. I'll wait for a bit though. Hopefully they'll return. First in line to go are Ash Ketchum, rdorrjr, Lance, Solent, Ryousuke and Joss - in that order. If they come back, I'll probably give them their positions back if they want to stay. Having too much staff justs gets messy though. It wouldn't be so bad if we heard from them.
I never liked Kairi either. Every decision she made seemed to just be there to benefit herself. I was so glad when she was banned. I've even avoided using that NPC trainer called Kairi in Cherrygroove. I was thinking about changing its name to Katie...
That actually could work very well. They'll even have to stick around to get the Pokémon. I like the way you think. I could organise to do that some time soon if you'd like to help? If you have something already planned out, feel free to post a thread and I'll give you my input on it.
Yeah, I've been wondering about them too. I don't really mind though. Legendaries aren't really my thing. Everyone seems to have them. I'd love an one-week event with legendaries though. Kinda like Pokémon The First Movie. If we made a new board, and members could go there. Like the island in the movie. Catching them, would be a problem though. In my opinion, legendaries lose their spark if everyone has them. I'm not sure how we'd work it. Isn't there only supposed to be one of some Pokémon as well, such as Mewtwo? Maybe if people could travel with the legendaries for a while and then they'd leave. I don't know what we could do really. I just stick to ordinary Pokémon.

Legendaries could be a temporary thing you know? like you get a legendary but you may only keep it for a month before it breaks free and takes off to join another random trainer. And each month there could be different events that cycle for what legendaries would be catchable. Example the mystical birds attack Johoto one month then the next random other legandaries and there could be mix ups and all sorts of weird random events. Hell if we get enough people going we could make a team rocket team who captures them. ORRRRRRRRRR we could do something weird like a legendary cloning machine (though they pokemon would have reduced stats so not to be ubber death )
Seems like a good idea with the babies, though the question to be asked is how do we hatch them? Iknow oak had a system inplemented before hand however we never actually got to test it or anything so I don't know if it's flawed or not. If you want to do it by all means go for it , as I am not sure exactly how I would organize it my self. But yea... it's a start

@ Andrew
Yo, thanks Andy ma man! ;D As you prolly know, I've sent in my application, and I'll be glad to start my training! n_n How fun. I've never thought of being a Moderator before, so I'll try hard to do a good job.
By the way; not to intrude upon your conversation with Pheonix, but in regards to Legendaries, you always could allow people to catch them (but not have, like, five Zapdoses or anything) and they could always be at Level 1. That way they'd be semi 'normal,' but still people would have the thrill of raising a Legendary. Personally, though, I think it's much more fun to play with normal Pokemon. Legends are stupidly strong and it sucks the fun out of things when you can crush a Trainer with only your Celebi, or what have you. /my thoughts
@ Pheonix
You filthy person, you. XD
By the way - this is an open question anyone can answer - but in reagrds to replying to people's threads, does it matter terribly if you 'set the scene,' so to speak? I'm one of those people who waffles on about the colour of the sky, and while it doesn't seem to be a problem in my own thread, I'm a bit worried people will start to get a tad annoyed at my [often long] descriptive paragraphs. Halp?

Hum... Trust me Caroline after spending two hours stuck between two EXTREMELY perverted lesbian's it REALLY tends to mess with your mind, especially when they are trying to get to you. xD just be thankful I didn't say anything kinky lmao.. okay I'll stop there. When it comes to setting the scene... as long as the person does not specify before you interecede you can do what ever. Like I used to set up different paths that had all these little tricks to them. Give them choices, and what not. That way they are more incontrol, there were even chances to get rare items if they took care of the situation right. Example a very hungry sandshrew attacks and kicks you in the rear, if you yell at it it will steal food and run away if you battle it you may catch it. If you feed it, it may return the favor a little later with an item or something like there was the normal path ahead, a beaten path to the left which looks like it's mainly used for pokemon, a trainer hat could be seen slung over a tree to the right and you could hear a water fall to the forward right. What do you do? obviously with more detail but thats just something to give you an idea. So basically as long as you are not screwing up the persons plot idea and such it should be fine. Also weather changes can happen at random which sets the mood for plot happenings and such. Though really plot stuff will be up to you unless your in a group or something and since there are no groups on the go at the moment it won't really matter that much. (I miss my group xD.. when ever we get active people I Will see if anyone wants to party up with the guy afraid of girls again xD) Also when we are active we need...a plot. you know something that deviates things from the normal everyday grind but that's for the future.

@ phoenixchild:I guess so. It might work. I like the first idea, that they leave after a while. I love the Team Rocket idea too. That would be really different from a lot of other places. It would be really fun to do too. An event like that could be organised. Maybe not every month, but at random times. It would be more exciting that way. It would probably be a good idea to ask Prof. Oak beforehand though. If he has something planned, he mightn't want us to change anything. Atm, he's working through the holidays. He said that he hopes to be back next year sometime and go back to his original activity level. Yeah, that's a small problem. I don't know what Prof. Oak's system was. I suppose we could go by the number of words though? Change steps into words. It wouldn't have to be exact. I don't expect anyone to go counting all the words. Some people probably don't have access word count. Yeah, it's a good idea. I might try it. I just need to get all my facts right before making it. @ Caroline Steele:Haha, no problem. (: Yus, it was quite interesting. SO I HEAR U LIEK NEOPETS. We'll get to that right away then. Haha, it's actually quite enjoyable. If you're tired or in a bad mood though, it's not too good. I'm a moderator on two sites and an admin on three more. xD This is my favourite one though. ;D I suppose you could, but I prefer the idea of them leaving after a month or so. Just having them travel with you seems logical enough. I agree with you, legendaries take the fun out of the games. Everyone has them when they're supposed to be a big deal. I prefer raising normal Pokémon. Yeah, none of the NPC trainers have them, but then you see that almost everyone who buys the games has them, and a large number of them use them. I even avoid pseudo-legendaries. I don't have a problem with them. Occasionally, I might use them, but again, six of them is too much for me. As for setting the scene, as phoenix said, it's no problem if they haven't done it yet. I'm sure I've done it a few times in your thread, in that Hoppip scene especially. I'm sure you'll do great. I also really like phoenixchild's way of leaving choices for members. It's really interesting. Great, now I'm intruding. xD

Also Caroline this is important ..you to Andrew listen up. It is imperative that you do not take control of a players actions and emotions. This is because it takes away the feeling of control from the player and it takes away the sense of closeness a player would feel from his or her character. Like what you did in the role play with Ein and Stantler. this is NOT a good thing to do, it would have been better to describe it, that Ein had spotted something moving in a bush or something that was shaking and give me the chance to decide how to approach the situation IE throwing a rock, yelling at it... throwing my pokemon at it or even throwing a pokeball before hand. I am not mad or anything not at all but this is something to be mindful in the future. As it is a turn off from role playing to have someone manipulate your character without consent. Having someone trip off a root while running is fine just don't describe there reaction to the pain leave that to them. AS for the intimidation part it would be better to describe Stantler's expression and how it peered at Ein stamping it's foot and snorting at him in an intimidating matter and let that person decide how to feel about it. Just some important tips. Some people don't mind it when you do that, however alot of people do mind. I have played a TON of dungeons and Dragons (inb4loser) and players HATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE it when the DM takes control of there characters. I know mine do ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How about instead of number of words we even it out to, there has to be so many words & a certain number of posts that way one GIANT post or thousands of spammy short ones can't be abused. X number of posts + X number of words = hatching! However this will vary per egg and the players are not allowed to know beyond a simple 'you feel the egg shake slightly'

Sorry about that, phoenix. I've actually been told off for doing that a couple of times before, particularly in one other forum. This isn't the first time I've done it. I usually only do it when I'm tired or stressed out. When I get into my modding, I try to plan my posts better. I actually thought I'd started to grow out of it. -.- Well, thank you for pointing that out, especially while the site is quiet. I'm gonna learn from this... I hope... I'll fix that post in the morning. It's almost 2am now and I'm wrecked.
As for the eggs, I agree. That's a much better idea. I'll give a more detailed reply in the morning. Good night for now.

Gotcha Pheonix! I've been worrying about the whole Power-play thing. Might I add, however, that in my Mod test, the first post I wrote described 'William's' emotions and how he felt. It was brief - only about a line - but is that going overboard? I wouldn't have thought so, but upon reading that example I think it is stealing the limelight, so to speak. Mind you, it is a test, so why am I worrying? XD
Pray tell why you were... hum, behind two lesbians?
@Andrew Ugh, do not mention the word Neopets! XD I go through phases. Occasionally I'm like, 'NEED SHOYRU/UNI/IXI, etc.' but rest of the time I look upon the site with disdain. Screw you, Viacom!
Agreed completely. For example, I'm interested in buying a Nintendo Wii with my savings, right? I've been eyeing it off since I heard about Pokemon Battle Revolution. I know it's not a terribly awesome game, but I have wanted to show off my Pokemon team. Annnnyyywwwaaayyy, whilst I was scouring You Tube for videos on the thing, I was surprised by the sheer amount of people who chuck out Arceus and the like. I mean, yes they're good Pokemon... but using them in competitive battling against OU Pokemon or (seen it happen) Baby Pokemon. It's ridiculous.
And I personally don't mind if you mess about with the scene in my threads. Prolly because Caroline has such a nature that you can do whatever with her. But I suppose if you have characters who are morbid or totally over-the-top, then I suppose you can't really muck it around.

@ phoenixchild:Okay, I've done my best to fix up that post. Please tell me if there are still problems with it. The last thing I want to do is drive people away. I've saved your guide so I plan to use that to check my posts from now on. That line in your last post about making the character trip was especially helpful. Thanks. Regarding the eggs, I love that idea. That's much better. We can base it off the steps in the game. As far as I know, Bulbapedia has the amount of steps needed to hatch each egg. We can make a list of Pokémon eggs and the amount of posts and words needed to hatch each one in the staff section. Yeah, I'm really liking that idea. I think that it'll work perfectly. It's simple to understand for mods but it'll keep members guessing. I think we can make the thread for it soon. I can have one made tomorrow in the staff section and you can feel free to edit bits in. @ Caroline Steele:Haha, nice. xD That's really strange. I don't ever go through love and hate stages with anything. Once I love something, I love it forever. I get bored and stuf but I don't hate. xD I love Wiis. :3 I have a white one though. The black one looks so much cooler. I've never actually considered getting Battle Revolution. Yeah, I actually despise people using legendaries. I don't even like Arceus but everyone else seems to love it. Yeah, I've seen that too. It takes the fun out of the games. I love raising Pokémon such as Slowpoke from low levels and evolving them (One of the best parts, IMO). Then, when they're at high levels, you know that you raised it. Legendaries can't evolve, they're too powerful, everyone has them, a lot of them are caught at high levels, etc. Another thing I dislike, is when people have a team with all three starters. I have all three but I can't use them together. I'm really picky like that. Also, I've noticed that each region has more legendary Pokémon than the last. They really lose their charm when there's so many. Kanto only has five - Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mew and Mewtwo. Johto has six - Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Ho-Oh, Lugia and Celebi. Hoenn has ten - Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi and Deoxys. Sinnoh has fourteen - Mesprit, Uxie, Azelf, Dialga, Palkia, Girantina, Cresselia, Darkrai, Manaphy, Phione, Regigagas, Heatran, Shaymin and Arceus. Why in the world would they make fourteen legendaries? They really went over the top with Hoenn and Sinnoh. Haha, okay then. (: Still, I'll do my best to give you more choices. I don't want to control everything you do. That just takes the fun away from you.
By the way, messed around with a few sprites to make them all the same size. I replaced the Spinda's with the heart-shaped marking with a new D/P/Pt/HG/SS sprite. They old one was a R/S/E/FR/LG one. Here's my one: Also with the Surfing Pikachu, the sprite was a 50x50 so I changed it to 80x80. Then I created a female version with the heart-shaped tail. I changed the male version's surf-board to blue as well. If anyone has a problem, let me know. Male: Female:

Well Andrew don't worry about it really, no harm done. Next time you are tired, just relax and don't worry about. no big deal and Caroline try not to do it at all, if you can abvoid it. I wasn't behind them Caroline..I was between and they were working there best to torment my poor innocent mind XD. You don't want to know trust me haha.. It's what they have planned for the future that scares meh. Also when it comes to a Wii my opinion is if you get it soft mod it right away with homebrew so you can play 'backups' thats what I have done with my Wii and I don't really use it all that much except for mario kart @_@ so much mario kart.. I do have a lot of games for it. I have pokemon battle rev it's alright but I haven't really played it I must admit, however I could not imagine a wii without soft mod's. Note Modding a Wii is not Illegal in anyway playing pirated games is illegal..only if you get caught. Just don't update a wii to the lastest firmware xD Also Arceus is the most powerful pokemon in the game that is why it's over used. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- okay good we are agreed on how to deal with the eggs and I am glad my rp guide is getting some use ^_^ this is the first site I've gotten REAL feed back.

Damnit, stupid laptop won't edit. D: @ 1st post:Haha, it's a bit late for be at this stage. I got my Wii two years ago. xD I barely play my Wii at all, at the moment. I go through addiction phases. Animal Crossing, haha. It's so pointless but so addicting. xD Haha, nice one. xD Yeah, it's powerful, I suppose, but I don't see how people would find it fun to use one all the time. --- Yep, the Eggs thread is done. Feedback would be nice. :3 Haha, yeah, I'm actually finding it a great help. Usually those things just tell you the obvious stuff. Yours is very detailed. Well done. I'm glad you posted it. ^_^ @ 2nd post:Haha, Windows 7 is what's keeping me from editing my post. xD --- That's good. Yeah, taking your time is the best thing to do. No point in getting stressed out over things. Haha, oh yeah, I forgot who I was talking to. xD Those were the days... xD Godamnit, that egg thread wrecked my head. It took AGES to get everything into those little table things. How Prof. Oak could do that, I don't know. Dx

Well...people don't play games to have fun! JEEEEEZ N00BBBB yOuR NoT UbEr LeeeTTTT gawd no1 pl4ys 4 fun nemore ( ) Yea.. Wii is fun but I prefer Xbox and such espically considering you need Wii speak to talk online and not alot of people have it ( I didn't get it with my... 'bought' animal crossing) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ yay! egg is done I posted a suggestion however I do love the idea and it is awesome as is but a suggestion can't hurt! yay it's helping! ------------- Windows 7> vista though.. and i do like the way your windows are no longer cluttered at the bottom of your screen. Yer... I am a machine! -does the robot- Pro Oak is a robot I will stand by this!!! XD

Haha, oh yeah I forgot. xD My bad.
Yeah, Wii Sports is fun with loads of people. I need to get me one of those X-Boxes. My friend has one. I love it! Yeah, Wii Speak sucks. I don't have it at all. Oh, icwatudidthar. ;D
---
Yep, and it only took... I don't know how long. I saw and I like it. :3 Do you want to split everything into the groups or shall I?
---
Oh yeah, no doubt about that whatsoever. Vista was terrible, in my opinion. I prefered XP. Windows 7 is great! 'Cept when it won't let me edit stuff. D: Yep, it looks awesome. It's laid out so much better.
Haha, orly now? xD

EDIT: Phoenix, make sure that amourxamitie (Melissa) takes part in the Christmas event.
