Life was full of twists and turns, some entirely unavoidable, that statement couldn't be any further from the truth for one particular young Weedle. The small larva pokemon had been innocently clinging onto a nearby tree branch on Route 30 before the weather took a turn for the worst. It had only started out with light rain and the confident young Weedle was sure that he could handle the sudden change of weather. His bubble of self-confidence would soon be popped though as the rain begun to fall faster and harder than previously, then all of a sudden it was hailing out of nowhere! With all of his might the young Weedle clinged to the tree branch above for as long as possible, however the weather would eventually get the best of him as he fell towards the ground with no way of stopping himself from crash landing into the cold hard surface! As the Weedle tumbled towards his descent he noticed a human at ground level that seemed to be waiting for the wild weather to pass, it would just his rotten luck to happen to crash land into the unassuming human!

Terri did a quick scan of the space surrounding her. She tried to locate some sort of signpost but the ice had seemingly masked all traces. "What's that noise?" the girl shrieked suddenly, turning back to her Pokémon who were trailing behind. "<<What on earth is she talking about->>" Ollin began. He turned to Edwina, whose eyes shot open as the falling bug caught her attention. "<<Oh no, no, no!>>" she started panicking. Without hesitation, she darted towards her trainer, hoping to catch the Weedle before it collided with her.
Terri took a few steps backwards as she saw the starling coming towards her, almost losing her footing due to the slippery surface. "Stay away from me, you brainless idiot!" Ollin turned away, cringing at the thought of how this situation would probably end. As Terri squinted, she noticed that Edwina wasn't looking at her at all. She gazed up and saw a Weedle tumbling in her direction. "Waaah," she screamed, losing her balance as she attempted to dodge it. She crashed in a heap in the cold wet grass. It was too late to get away now, unless of course Edwina was able to save her. "Wing Attack!" she ordered, burying her head in her knees and shielding herself with her hands.

The Weedle hit the ground headfirst, giving a cry of pain as its stinger lodged itself into the ground. Desperately wriggling to get free, the Bug type seemed scared and entirely happy to get out of the place as soon as possible. First the unforgiving weather, which was rather painful for a small Pokémon such as this. Then all of this commotion caused by the Trainer and her Pokémon, who seemed to blame Weedle for accidentally falling near them when it had actually wished to avoid Terri at all costs. It just wanted to have a quiet day, thank you very much. And now, its stinger was stuck in the dirt. What a rotten day indeed. After a bit of movement, Weedle managed to right itself and started on its way back up the tree. Just as Weedle was about to try to make its escape, however, the rude human and her equally rude Pokémon made its day even worse by declaring war. Edwina flew forth, her wings spread out wide as she charged toward the unassuming Bug. By the time Weedle knew what was happening, Edwina’s wings had made contact with its body already. The Starly slapped her prey again and again, as the small worm-like creature cried out for its parents… or someone… to save it. Weedle was regretting ever setting foot in this place now, and starting to hope the battle would end so the human might leave. After a few hits, Weedle yielded and fell to the floor. Now, at least, it wouldn’t be able to fear. Not right now, anyway. START THE BATTLE SLAUGHTER!

Edwina couldn't help but feel guilty every time she forced another Pokémon into battle. Her trainer had no time for any creature that came within a ten foot radius. But having seen what the nineteen-year-old was capable of, she knew it was best to just follow her orders.
Terri slowly pulled herself up from the icy ground and adjusted her beret. The hail was pelting down hard and was beginning to give her a headache. Blatantly ignoring the battle that had just taken place, she started jogging along the path. "We need to find shelter. I can't continue like this," she coughed.
"<<I'm so so sorry,>>" Edwina whispered to the unconscious Weedle. Ollin whistled to catch her attention. The starling took a deep breath and spread her wings. She speedily made her way up over to the Snubbull and the two Pokémon followed their trainer out of the hail.
"Oh my god, does that say Violet? We made it! I can finally get out of these clothes," Terri cried with happiness. Her Pokémon looked at each other with puzzled expressions as they watched her run up and hug a signpost that read "Violet City". Route 30 had been such a miserable walk. She should have known better than to travel in these bad conditions. She hadn't encountered a single trainer because the weather had been so bad. "Okay, we need to find the closest Pokémon Centre immediately!" the girl exclaimed. Edwina and Ollin nodded synchronously. Some recovery time indoors was definitely needed.
