Silver Encounter [maroon]"Hpmh...your Torkoal doesn't look like he amounts to much. I guess you ended up wasting your time in the Safari zone looking for weak-sniveling Pokemon like yourself,"[/maroon]the red-haired teen scoffed, looking at the fire turtle with contempt. Kelvitir's foot pawed at the ground angrily as he let out an angry bellow at Silver, angry by the Trainer's words. Steam rushing out of his shell and nose, the turtle Pokemon inhaled deeply as he summoned boiling lava from his stomach, feeling flames tickle his throat as he readied to launch a fire attack. [maroon]"Stop gawking there like an idiot. Go use Supersonic before your stupidity gets you fried!"[/maroon]Silver snapped at his Zubat. Flinching, the Zubat quickly didn't hesitate any longer as he quickly opened his mouth wide and emitted sonar energy towards the Torkoal. Instantly, the turtle felt his mind grow fuzzy and the world seemed to swirl and tilt as his concentration seemed to slip away. However, the Torkoal managed to grab onto his focus and fleetingly took aim on the Zubat before opening his mouth and launching a projectile of fire balls towards the bat Pokemon. Startled, the Zubat let out a screech of pain as the embers latched onto his body, the flames licking and burning away at his flesh. Trying desperately to put of the flames, the Zubat darted about in the air, but the hot sun that beat down on the fray made it harder for the flames to die down. Finally, the last of the embers died down, leaving the Zubat shivering and charred with ashes and the lingering smell of burning flesh. [maroon]"You whelp, why didn't you dodge that?"[/maroon]Silver snarled at his Pokemon angrily, his fists tightening until the whites of his knuckles showed. The Zubat's head hung dejectedly at his Trainer's words. --------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- Pokemon BattleWeather=Sunny Day

OOC: for future mods, you don't have to spell out my torkoal's name lol. "Kelv" is fine.
IC; And the first round of battle commenced as quickly as he had called out his pokemon and ordered his attack. When the redhead foe ordered his zubat for a supersonic, he had a feeling his opponent's strategy certainly have improved.
The trainer saw that Kelv's head bobbed a little after the supersonic, but at least his pokemon landed the ember. He will have to gamble a little bit if he were to keep going with offense.
"I'm not really wasting my time since I am not a pokemon, why don't you try throwing a pokeball at me?" Alex replied the opponent, certainly unimpressed with the weak taunting.
Aside from that, he don't expect his foe to have any new or interesting insult other than calling other people or his pokemon useless, dumb, or weak. Didn't they gone over this the last battle? Some time ago?
"Kelv!" he shouted as he prepared for the next move. "Ember again!" Not that he have other options, but he certainly will when this flaming tortoise gets stronger.

Silver Encounter [maroon]"Tch, still running your mouth like a child, I see"[/maroon]Silver scoffed, brushing aside his auburn bangs with a casual flick of his wrist. [maroon]"Hurry up and use a Leech Life on that whelp,"[/maroon]the red-haired teen snapped at his Zubat, with an irritable nod towards the Torkoal. Not wanting to disappoint his Trainer again, the Zubat flew forward towards the still confused Torkoal. The fire turtle too busy trying to fight through the confusion that boggled his mind to dodge the bat's fangs until it was too late. The Torkoal flinched slightly as the teeth pierced at his neck, feeling small drops of blood being drawn before the bat Pokemon flitted away. Kelv managed to latch onto his sanity as he opened his mouth quickly and fired a projectile of flames towards the retreating Zubat. The bat Pokemon screeched in pain as the fires licked at his body, trying vainly to beat out the embers until he was left smoldering with spots of bright sore burns along his body. --------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- Pokemon BattleWeather=Sunny Day

The black haired trainer watched and listened to the redhead's low level insult and command for his pokemon. He was rather surprised by the opponent's use of an ineffective move even though Torkoal clearly looks like a fire type. And he thought the opponent was smarter after the confusion.
"You (seriously) just used Leech Life on my Torkoal? I thought you know better when you start with a status inflicting move," Alex chuckled, but also looked meanly (to his ability) at the redhead.
"Kelv! Shake off that confusion and try focusing your energy at the Zubat! Ember again!" he commanded. Despite what he thought was an easy battle, this zubat can still hold on its own.
"I dare you to use leech life again, you nightwit," he smiled cleverly.

Silver encounter
(Cause i'm old school)
Silver was getting all the more irritated, especially since his opponent didn't know how to shut his mouth. The redhead didn't like getting backed into corners... Just wait until Zubat fainted, then you'd see his true power. If Alex kept running his mouth though, Silver might have to show him some of his own power with his own fists. He didn't like mouthy kids, although he was one of them. Geez, I swear, do you ever shut up? Silver snarled, his Zubat flying lower and lower with each round.
It's one of the only things I can use, stupid Pokemon. As soon as we're finished, Guess whose being replaced with one of your Pokemon? Silver grinned, casting a glare over to the Zubat beside him. Just... use your Leech Life before Torkoal snaps out of confusion. Silver was clearly fed up with this fight, and was ready to leave with anything of value Alex had, including his Pokemon. He ignored the quip about a Status effect move; that would come in handy eventually. The Zubat fluttered down to Kelv and gave him a little bite, sucking a little bit more health out of him, but not enough to make much of a dent.
Kelv prepared himself to give an Ember attack, but he looked about wildly for a moment before falling to the ground, craning his neck in a painful manner. The creature began to walk forward as if he were going to leave the battle, and then rolled backward onto his shell. Silver barely managed to not laugh out loud at the confused Pokemon, now on it's back. Kelv somehow managed to get back upright, but the confusion had taken it's toll. Silver grinned with satisfaction. Heh. Just you wait.

"If it's the only offense move Zubat can use, maybe train it some more before fighting it with me," Alex sighed, how did he have the misfortune of bumping into this guy after several months?
Not wanting to waste more time with the battle, and well, this redhead, Alex immediately commanded his Torkoal, "Kelv, snap out of that! Listen to your breathing to focus! Use Ember again!" And roast some flying rattata!
Though given how the smoking tortoise currently looks, the black haired trainer was sure that Torkoal can outlive the Zubat in this battle.

Silver began to tap his foot impatiently, aggravating by how useless his Zubat’s attack was. This, combined with Alex’s taunts was tempting him to switch out but he knew it was still too soon. “Humph, a weakling like you is really lecturing me? Training is for wimps. I only collect the toughest Pokémon. Just you wait. Your worthless pets will soon be falling one-by-one.” The red-head seemed to feel slightly better after snapping back at his rival. “Zubat, hurry up and use another Leech Life.”
The Zubat knew by his master’s tone not to waste any more time. The bat Pokémon crept up on the still-confused Torkoal and sunk his fangs into his neck. He managed to drain a tiny bit of life from his opponent but it wasn’t exactly anything worth bragging about. In fact, as the poison-type attempted to make his escape, Kelv’s mentality was restored. The tortoise spotted his opponent fluttering away and hastily spat out bolts of fire. These pelted against Zubat’s body and knocked him off balance. Although he’d taken a fairly substantial amount of damage, Zubat struggled on, ready for another round.
“Urgh, don’t get cocky. Like I said, you’ve seen nothing yet.” Silver assured Alex. His comment was slightly critical of his Zubat but the bat didn’t seem to take any notice. With a trainer like Silver, it was probably second nature. Any Pokémon that would willingly obey someone of his mannerisms wasn’t all there anyway. Battle

Alex cringed a little at the redhead's response. He might have the toughest pokemon but certainly not using them well. And plus, he beat that guy once, he won't take weakling as an insult if he defeats him again.
He decided to ignore the opponent's comments, concerns, issues, and he doesn't have questions... After all, the Zubat looks like it will be fainting and he can await whatever the red haired boy wanted to demonstrate.
As Kelv launched his ember, the trainer was glad that he finally snapped out of that confusion. He was starting to get worried even though the Zubat's only offensive move was ineffective on his Torkoal. Eager to end this battle with the Zubat, he ordered, "Kelv, finish him with Ember!"
He was hoping for his pokemon to misfire, since intentionally ordering him to attack the human is kind of illegal. Also, he was eager to see what the opponent have in store for him. "I might as well finish your Zubat, so what do you have for me? I have been waiting for that Zubat to pass out."
In his head, Alex have something for the opponent too. His other Safari pokemon.

“It figures, you’re weak as always. I can never count on you. Not once have I been able to do that.” Silver said as he looked back at the Pokémon as it was struck with the ember attack. Even at being so minor, the Zubat had been exhausted from the previous rounds of the battle, and lacked the strength to hardly even fly now. As the Zubat felt the sting of the ember attack coming from the Torkoal, this seemed to have gotten Silver annoyed. The rat with wings could seem to handle the turtle Pokémon one bit. That made him upset as he stomped his foot down as the Zubat fell to the ground, and hands were clenched with the sheer sign of anger. Scorch marks could be seen on its side from where the ember had hit him. “Get up you Rat! I told you, to get up!” He yelled, as the Zubat refused. It was motionless, as it was on the ground. It was a clear victory for Alex and his Torkoal now, but Silver wasn’t done yet. He took out his poke ball as he sent Zubat back. And the flying Pokémon disappeared in a flash of light. “Humph. That was only a start up. I have much stronger Pokémon for you to face. Trust me. And like that Torkoal of yours, I too have a fire type Pokémon. Let me show you what I mean.” He added as he took out the pokeball that belonged to his next Pokémon. As he tossed it into the air, the fiery mouse Pokémon appeared in a red flash on the field near where Torkoal was standing. The Cyndaquil had instantly made an attempt to make it look larger to the Torkoal as it forced the flames to come burst out of its back. The Cyndaquil seemed to be letting out low growls to where Alex was and in his direction. If anything it meant that a sign of aggression had been put in place. Just as its trainer had been cruel and hard, the Pokémon reflected it in return. “So what do you think? I have a fire Pokémon and one that is scary too.” Silver asked as he looked back at Alex hoping that the Cyndaquil would certainly startle him. Zubat has been KO'd. Congratulations upon defeating Silver's Zubat, Kelv has grown three levels and is now at level 11! Silver has Sent out Cyndaquil (Level 12) Out into battle!

Looking at the red haired boy, Alex sighed and exhaled deeply after the opponent's zubat was fainted from Kelv's Ember assault. Although he wished to attack the flying pokemon with other moves, he knew his Torkoal would need some training to acquire new moves for battles.
"TOR--KOAL! TOOOOR!" Kelv blew some smoke out at his victory. Of course I win, punk! He shouted some more as the fire mouse pokemon appeared on the field. "TORKOALTOR!" the fire tortoise blew another steam of smoke from his nose. Don't kid me, you're not scary at all.
"Good job, Kelv!" the trainer thanked his pokemon as he pulled out the pokeball to return him. Kelv exhaled and blew a rather large volume of smoke from his nose, while tapping the ground with his front leg, with pride.
"Return!" The trainer shouted as the pokemon returned for some rest. "TORKOAL!" the fire pokemon mocked before he disappeared in a flash of light. See you never! Perhaps the fire tortoise was showing some sign of narcissism?
Seeing that the opponent has called out his Cyndaquil, Alex somewhat began to remember that the red head does indeed have a fire pokemon.
He scoffed lightly, "Yeah.... I think my Bulbasaur beat your Cyndaquil once." He paused his words as he pulled out a different pokeball for the next round of battle. And not to mention he saw another Cyndaquil at the Ye Olde Bellsprout Tower. He didn't want to think about those fanatic, irrational monks again.
"Meet my other Safari pokemon, Lodd!" he smiled, and tossed a pokeball on the field, a green pokemon with lilypad for head appeared. The pokemon spawned from the pokeball beam of light stared at the Cyndaquil, unfazed by the fire type pokemon's squeaky growl.
"Lodd, start with a Fake Out!" Alex ordered, and the illypad reptilian casually slapped her palms to warm up before running toward the defending mouse for the real one.
Of course he knew throwing a grass type to fight a fire type would usually be a bad idea. But he did it once with the opponent anyways. And plus, Lombre was part water, it can't be that bad.
OOC: Lombre used Fake Out!

Frowning, Silver crossed his arms. So what if he had been to the Safari Zone? It didn't really matter where he got the Pokemon, because under this guys care, they were all destined for failure anyway. Alex, he decided, wouldn't be able to train his way out of a paper bag. The Cyndaquil looked back at his trainer, clear unsure glances being thrown his way as Lodd was sent out. "Will you stop boasting about going to that place? Just because your Pokemon come from a stocked area, and they're rare, doesn't make them so special." Lodd didn't seem to understand as she tilted her head. Safari Zone? Well that was home before right? but now she was here with Alex, and she had to follow his orders. So, with heavy steps after the Fake out was ordered by her trainer, Lodd skidded to a stop in front of Cyndaquil and clapped her paws together, sending the young scrap of a fire mouse back a little bit as the wind came out. Cyndaquil shivered as he got up, more scared of Silver than the Pokemon. "Keep a better watch next time idiot!" Silver called to it, causing the Cyndaquil to look down, ashamed of itself. --------------------------------------- A Special Trainer appeared! Weather: Sunny! OOC: Can I redo my Lombre's personality? I think I got a better feel of what I want to rp her now lol.
Nature/Personality: Quirky Lodd is a nonchalant, Lombre who stares blankly into space, sometimes hums on her throat loudly, and look uninterested in the surrounding, even the opponent pokemon. Despite her strange behavior, she is prone to get hit from not paying attention and dodging. Also, as a pond pokemon, she enjoys immersing herself in clean water.
EDIT: Thanks Kat!
IC: After Lodd had clapped her face-blowing speed fake out, she took a few steps back to avoid the fire mouse's close distance. Then, with a nonchalant stare, she hummed a rather annoying growl in low tone. The noise lingered a few seconds until she inhaled, which broke the cacophony.
Alex was rolling his eyes a little when she made the noise, since that disrupted his battle mood. And surely not all Lombre are like that, right?
"Lodd, use Nature Power!" Alex ordered. After he had used Nature Power in the Cherrygrove City, which turned into Tri Attack, he anticipates what move it will turn into on a route. Lodd growled, unperturbed by the commotion of pokemon battle.
"And Lodd is special to me," Alex shrugged, mimicking his pokemon perhaps, and ignoring the part on his opponent thinks it's special because of the Safari Zone. "Maybe not to you. But to me she is."

Silver rolled his eyes, pulling a disgusted face at Alex's reply. "Ugh, save the mushy crap for someone who cares..." he grumbled. "It's just another useless Pokemon that you happened to stumble upon. And I'll show you just how useless it is." Glancing at the Cyndaquil, he snapped, "Ember. Now."
The Cyndaquil nodded, eager to please his surly trainer. Running forward, the fire rodent sucked in a deep breath, letting the fire in his belly swell. The flames rose higher, tickling the back of his throat as he prepared to launch his attack. Finally, when the heat grew too intense, the rodent opened his mouth, spewing small tongues of fire at the Lotad. Lodd leapt back, but not nearly fast enough, and the embers burned against her dry skin. Yowling, she almost didn't hear Alex's command to attack.
This time, Lodd already knew what to do, her hands already clasped before her. Her eyes closed, and she breathed in deeply, feeling the elements around her. The dirt road beneath her feet and the earth further down whispered to her, and she felt the power of the earth coursing through her. She felt a slight vibration in the ground, and she suddenly realized that she could feel where the Cyndaquil was. Her eyes snapped open, and Lodd slammed her hands into the ground, grinning widely as the earth split open from the tiny crack she had made. The fissure shot over to where the Cyndaquil was standing, sharp rocks and dirt shooting up from the crack in the earth and slamming into the fire rodent's side. The Cyndaquil yowled in pain, tumbling away from the cracked earth. He struggled back to his feet, panting slightly as he tried his best to not seem weak in front of his trainer. Silver was not impressed, though, and he merely glared down at the rodent in disgust.

(OH LOL! I was thinking it would be Razor Leaf. NEVERMIND XD)
As the next round of battle commenced, Alex took a few steps backward to avoid the fire mouse's embers. Thankfully, the fires didn't even shoot too far. Then, when Lodd launched her Nature Power, he was rather surprised when it unleashed Earthquake instead. The move was powerful against the fire type. Not to mention, the fire move in the sun was not damaging against the partial water type Lombre.
Wanting to finish the battle, and that he doesn't like the foe redhead anyways, the defending trainer was ready to finish the battle. He ordered his pokemon, "Nature Power again!"
This battle won't be long from finish. Now he just needed to hit again (or twice more). He clenched Lodd's pokeball, readied to return her when the battle will be over and get out of here. (After collecting prize money, of course!)

Lodd heard another call out from his trainer as he looked back at the Cyndaquil. This would be no doubt the last battle move for the round. It had been a quick one being that Cyndaquil could not stand the earthquakes that were constantly rocking back and forth. The Lombre began to use Nature Power as he stomped the ground a gain, shaking it as he went and made it uneaven for the Cyndaquil to stand on. The Cyndaquil nearly fell over, but it could not stand up the second time it attempted to try, knowing that it's trainer was certainly going to get mad at it. As the earthquake was over, the Cyndaquil refused to get up, the exhaustion had hit it, and it no longer managed to have the strength within it. The battle was now over. "Darn it. I thought I had a good pokemon! It turns out it is completely worthless!" He called back even though the Cyndaquil had fainted and stomped on the ground to express his anger as well, it probably wouldn't have heard half of what he said. He took out the pokeball that belonged to the Cyndaquil and sent it back into its ball to where it could rest. "Hmph don't think this is the end of our road just yet. Next time we meet it won't be such an easy feat to beat me. That I promise. I'll find better pokemon, stronger pokemon, and ones that will crush you in a single move. I will keep my word with that." Silver said as his anger nearly boiled over. But he hadn't forgotten the prized money that he owed Alex as he took out some pieces of cash that he had stored away from previous battles that he had won, and tossed it near Lodd's and Alex's direction. He began to head down the rest of the trail to probably head towards the next pokemon center. Congratulations! Upon defeating Silver you have recieved $600 in reward of defeating him. Also Lodd has grown to level 13!
