Yael should evolve and replace Run Away with Cute Charm. Not learning Return. I can update it so this thread just needs to be archived, thank you.
Yael had succeeded on her mission. Just as Dario had done only moments before, the normal-type's body began to light up and her form began to change. A taller, slimmer rabbit replaced the cute little paranoid one that had stood there just seconds before. Yael looked thrilled with herself for once. Maybe she'd finally outgrow her abandonment issues.
"Okaaay," Andrew began to realise why she'd been so insistent on finding a battle. "I guess it would've been really annoying for you if we left when you were so close to evolving, Yael. Congrats to both of you anyway! This is a great way to finish up for the day, what do you think?" Yael cheered and hugged her trainer. Now that most of the focus was on her, she was happy to get some rest. 'Yeah fine,' Dario yawned. He was getting tired too.
A large amount of time had passed since they'd watched the sunset. It was now much darker and much colder. The extreme heatwave from when they'd first set foot on Route 33 was thankfully no longer an issue. The trio made their way out of the tall grass. Because it was so late, there wasn't any noise to guide them to the town and it was difficult to see anything far away. Despite this, choosing where to go wouldn't be difficult. 'This way.' Yael pointed out the direction they should take. Her sense of hearing had been heightened even more since evolving.
They pushed passed some trees and found themselves on the main path again. However, this time they were right in front of the town. "Amazing! Thanks Yael. Looks like we're here. Let's head to the Pokémon Center and get some rest." Andrew suggested, moving toward the big red and white building. "Both of you, return."
The automatic doors opened and Andrew stepped inside, making his way to the counter. The main room was dimly lit and the few trainers inside were keeping their voices at a whisper. "Hey, my name's Andrew. I'm just after traveling in from Violet City. Would you be able to heal my Pokémon, please? I'd like to rest up for the night too, if that's okay." "Sure Andrew, that's no problem. Let me take them inside for a while," the nurse whispered, smiling. She seemed very well rested for this time of the night. "Great, thank you. I'd like to rest up for the night too, if that's okay?" "Of course, just find somewhere in the lobby and I'll have one our Chansey bring you your Pokémon once they've recovered." "Okay, thank you."
After placing his Poké Balls on a tray for Nurse Joy, Andrew made his way over to a free corner in the room. He carelessly dropped his backpack from his shoulders and let out a huge of relief after a tiring day. Unzipping the bag, he pulled out a sleeping bag and strategically placed it on the floor next to a socket in the wall. He plugged in his phone to charge and then noticed a new message from his mother. Hi Andrew. How are you? Good news. Sanga has improved a lot and Nurse Joy said that he can finally join you. Call me when you have a chance. Love you xxx
Andrew couldn't believe it. He'd finally be reunited with his Charmander after all this time. He seemed to have a lucky streak going. If there was any time to challenge the gym, this was probably it. He'd add Sanga to his team first thing in the morning. "Okay, I'd better get some sleep." He placed the phone on the floor and adjusted himself to get comfortable. The sooner he slept, the sooner he'd see his friend and hopefully they'd even challenge the Azalea Town Gym.
